Roleplay Type: WoE

Name: Wicked Quill or just Wick

Sex: Male

Age: Young Stallion

Species: Unicorn

Eye colour: A pale ghoulish green.

Coat: A deep, less saturated plum, with a darker tone around his eyes, and light 'freckles' on both cheeks and over his nose. He has a characteristic grin, sporting a missing tooth from a past scuffle, and wears rather gaudy red glasses.

Mane/Tail: Both his mane and tail are a single shade of drab greenish-grey. Lusciously curled and clearly well taken care of, he keeps both his mane and tail tied with clean black ribbons.

Physique: Very tall and slight of frame, he is not a strong looking stallion by any means. He is quite thin and delicate looking, with small, somewhat dainty hooves, and long spindly legs. He has rather large ears, one of which sports a gnarly looking bite mark from a fight with another pony that he clearly lost.

Residence: Fillydelphia

Occupation: Wick is a publish author, specializing in horror stories, sure to keep you up all night with the heebie jeebies.

Cutie Mark: A quill surrounded by a magic aura, with a ghost flowing from the tip. Symbolizing his affinity for writing hauntingly scary stories, and his love for all things supernatural.

If you asked Wick to tell you where his love of all things scary came from, he'd tell you that it began right around the time he began school. He claims that he had an experience with a ghost that shaped his life forever. Whether this is true or not depends on how much of a skeptic you are, but never the less it had a huge impact on who he would eventually become when he grew up.

He was always a very strange young colt, always talking about the supernatural, ghosts and zombies and all manner of creepy thing. He was not popular because of this, and most of his schoolmates thought he was positively bizarre, but he was never too bothered by this, too wrapped up in books and research to really care about the odd looks his peers gave him. His somewhat antisocial behavior lasted into High School, where he began to find other ponies that shared his interests. It was here that he penned his first short story, a story about a monster that only appeared from the corner of your eyes, it was written for a Nightmare Night story contest and ended up winning the first place prize. His cutie mark appeared when he accepted the award for his efforts.

History: Wick was born on Nightmare Night, which his parents now find incredibly amusing given how he turned out. He was born in Fillydelphia to a pair of loving parents; Miss Inky Brushes, and Foggy Skies, both artistic ponies in their own right, and always supportive of their sometimes strange son.

His childhood was, for the most part, uneventful, starting school was an exciting time for the young colt, and despite his weird interests and sometimes strange habit of eagerly telling whoever would listen about all the supposedly haunted places he wanted to go to, he was well liked, the occasional snide remark about the 'little weirdo pony' from a classmate never seemed to bother the young colt, too confident in who he was to even acknowledge them. When he entered high school he became much less reclusive, and much more open to others, eagerly telling his ghost stories to any pony who would sit and listen to him. It was through a story that he earned his cutie mark, and discovered his desire to become a published author.

When he left high school, he already has a fairly large repertoire of short stories and novellas, it was only a matter of getting them published. He spend several months sending the collection into any publishing company he could, receiving letter after letter of rejection. He was beginning to lose hope when he came across a rather newly born company, looking for a fresh young author to publish. He was elated when he received the news of their acceptance. Within two months, his first short story collection was released to the public.

As an adult, he has continued to release short story collections, as well as full length novels, to spread his love for the occult and horror to Equestria.

Character Summary: Despite his love of horror, Wick is actually a very affable pony, loving nothing more than to be around the fans of his work, signing copies and just chatting it up with the ponies who make his dreams possible. His love of ghosts has never died, and he even does some impromptu ghost hunting when he isn't busy writing, hauling cameras and tape recorders to whatever abandoned locations he can find to attempt to capture evidence of the occult.

Above all else, Wick loves to make ponies smile, to make them squeal and gasp with fright as they read through his stories. He loves to bring new ghost stories into the world, spreading his creative mind to all corners and to all minds. He loves speaking to younger fans especially, encouraging them to follow their dreams, no matter what tries to stop them.

As well as being friendly, he is also a bit of a show pony, very dramatic with his flourished movements and overblown reactions, he is quite comical to watch when he really gets going. And he can be a bit of a brumby too, not afraid to jump into a scrap when the situation calls for it, this was the source of his missing tooth and bitten ear, a scrabble that he clearly was not the victor of.

For all his positive traits, he does tend to be a bit too much of a ham at times. Though not particularly nasty, he can be a might vain and self absorbed when it comes to his appearance and talents, he is not selfish by any means, but he knows when he's got and he's never afraid to flaunt it. This can be seen as obnoxious to some, and his bragging has gotten him into more than one fight before. He tends to take things very hard as well, every failure is the end of the world, and he sometimes lets his anxieties get the better of him, causing him to withdrawal into himself and become somewhat reclusive again.

Overall though, Wick is a charming young stallion, enjoyable to be around, if you can get past his somewhat creepy nature.

Hi! I can go ahead and give this a review for you :)

Great looking character overall, looks like fun to RP with!

One thing I would ask you touch up:

WoE is an RP section where we try to stay as slice of life as possible. As such, if you can take out the reference to bullying that would be great. Having classmates sneer and jeer at some points would work but not the bullying part. Once you take care of that I'll pass this up for a second review!

Ahh thank you! I'm really eager to use him, he's my baby and kind of a lot like me hehe

But I edited that bit in his history a bit, how does that sound? I did realize that it was worded a bit too grimly, so I tried to make it a BIT more show-styled, to where it wouldn't be bullying so much as mean little jabs(about the level of what Diamond Tiara would say, really) but not targeted bullying!
