In Ponyville (Open see OOC)

The sun was beginning to shine brightly over Ponyville as morning dawned. The birds chirped their songs in the morning light as Lunar Relic walked down the street. this was his routine, at dawn he walked around ponyville for fun. Other ponies were up early and enjoying the great morning. Some waved and greeted him which he kindly returned the favor. Lunar had been in Ponyville for about a year and a half now. Before he had lived in Canterlot where he had grown up. However at the request of The Royal Canterlot Library he moved to ponyville. A lot of ponies had come to befriend him or be regulars at his store. Mostly clumsy ponies who needed an item repaired.

As he walked this morning he was reflecting on his life. He had been a guard for a while before he became a researcher. Along with his research of Equestrian history and magic he runs an artifact shop with a repair service. Being a slightly gifted unicorn Lunar had two spell he loved the most. The first was one he made on his own, a spell which could repair anything, granted all the parts were there. The second was one he modified but it gave ponies the ability to fly like a pegasus, however it was still hard for him to cast and the duration was limited by his ability so it was a spell he rarely used and didn't just let anypony use it's benefits. As his mind started wandering to the more...sad side of his life he shook his head and returned to reality ready to see what was in store for him today.

Starlight Glimmer was...hopeful.  That was what she felt today-the Ponyville morning was bright, and everypony seemed to be going along just fine.  She almost smiled, but it was awkward to contradict her beliefs for so many years~  For as long as she had known, it was a core value instilled into her that cutie marks caused disharmony and discontent.  Yet here they were-all sorts of different ponies with their unique cutie marks.  Happy.  She finally let a small grin exceed her, and she strolled from the library-outside into the town.

The castle sparkled in the daylight, a sure reminder to her of Princess Twilight's kindness.  The gems reflected of each ray, not unlike the Crystal Empire's own Palace.  It was gorgeous.  As she walked around the town, she noted the several different ponies all around.  Some were old, some were young.  Some were Pegasi, some were Unicorn.  What would have shocked her most, was that they weren't all happy~some were happy, sure, but some were sad.  Would have shocked, she reminded herself.  She was a different mare now, living by different standards.

She went about greeting different ponies,

"Hello!"

"Good morning, Missus,"

"Have a good day~"

Until her eyes fell upon a dazed pony.  Or rather, a pony in a daze.  He seemed to be thinking about something-perhaps life, perhaps a distant but close past.  She smiled, Well, Twilight did tell me to make some friends,

"Hello-Mr...um..."

Spearmint had just stepped out from her home as well, and began her morning flight in the skies above Ponyville. There were few things in her mind that expressed freedom more than spreading one's own wings and soaring above civilization, and for just a few minutes, as she would lower her goggles to shield her eyes from the winds, she would make these skies her own playground. Swooping down once with the intent of cutting it close to colliding with buildings, there was one thing she almost didn't see.

Another Pegasus.

Instinctively letting out a surprised cry, Spearmint managed to avoid the Pegasus, but the close call forced her to remove her goggles afterwards, the thrill of flight gone. Giving another look towards the ground, though, something else caught her eye. Another pony, one that didn't seem to be faring too well. Pausing for a moment to decide her course of action over this, true to herself, she wouldn't take much time in making her decision - she would see what she could do.

Diving down towards a spot near the pony, she would take it quite a bit easier as she would land about ten feet away from them, a soft landing that went against her earlier clumsiness in the skies. Yet her mind would go directly towards the issue at hand, as she would take a few paces towards the pony that seemed to be faring less than well.

"Are you all right, sir...?" She asked, her eyes showing a little concern.

However, her eyes also caught the other pony that was paying attention to this pony. And the plum and blue colors that this pony had... Spearmint's facial expression changed a little bit as she looked on - she had a feeling she should know this pony, but soon enough, her facial expression returned to the calmer, concerned one she held previously. She would know if the pony decided to introduce herself...

The gentle clop of hooves came from the road into town. And it was accompanied by the sounds of a twinkling magic. As it grew closer, the clack of cart wheels joined in. A cart was rolling into town. It looked fairly normal. It was the kind traveling performers used. Home and transportation rolled into one. The pony pulling the cart was a young stallion. His mane of pale gray and dark gray fluttered in the breeze lightly. It looked wild and impossible to tame. His tail was much the same as it flicked behind him. But his coat, it looked like it was made of a thunderstorm. As he walked the mottled pattern gave the illusion of rolling clouds. Poking up from his mane was a small horn. He looked calm enough. But as he got closer one could hear the squeals and giggles of delight of a foal as well. In the driver seat of the cart sat a foal. Her mane and tail a pure cream white. And her coat was a soft caramel brown. She looked a little round, and practically bounced back and forth in her seat. Her horn poked up from her mane as well. And her ears were adorned by large brightly colored bows.

As the cart pulled into the middle of town, the pony pulling it let out a sigh. The cart groaned a little as it settled down and the twinkle of magic stopped. He was using magic to move the cart. If one looked upon the cart, there were posters on it. Showing a masked musician playing instruments. It also displayed advertisement for what appeared to be a troupe of performers, among them was the masked musician. He turned to the foal up on the driver seat of the cart. Making hoof motions to each other they seemed to hold a conversation. She giggled and bounced down. Her little hooves clopping the ground as she took off at a fairly quick pace. The young stallion shook his head as he watched her run straight for Sugar Cube Corner. Turning to his cart he walked behind it and made sure it was locked and that the wheels were locked in place by the breaks. After that he moved to the front and took off a violin case. using magic to sling it to his back, he began to look around. He spotted a few others gathered together. Approaching them he stood there a moment before speaking. "H.. H.. hello. This is...P.. Ponyville yes?"

He was looking at a unicorn accompanied by a pegasus and...Buck didn't visibly twitch, but he kept up with current events. One had to survive on the gossip from town to town when one was a traveling performer. His small smile faded just a little. His horn glowed for a moment, and his face covered over in a rather ornate mask. IT displayed musical notes all flowing around the mask in a lively pattern. His body was covered over in what looked like a musician's tux. And when it was over, his speech seemed to pick up both in pace and in intelligence. As if wearing this made him... better. "Forgive me. I often have issues when speaking to the public. It's better to just wear this when I must speak. You could call it stage fright, but I am merely socially inept I ask your forgiveness for the interruption of your converstaion. Oh yes, This is the town of Ponyville yes?"

Lunar looks at the three. He looks at Starlight then to Spearmint. "I am fine, sorry I have a tendancy to get lost in thought." He says "My name is Lunar Relic." He introduces himself before looking at the masked pony "Yes, this is Ponyville." He says. "To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"

Now this town was an interesting sight to Obsidian Hour. The crystal pony continued down the dirt road, his mobile clock shop towed behind him. "Thatched roofs, a baking place that looks like a pastry, and a massive crystal castle, huh?" Obsidian said to himself. "Little gaudy, but honestly reminds me a little of home, yes."

Suddenly, as he studied the castle's design, he was blinded by a bright light. "Gah! Son of a mother!" He exclaimed as he shook his head to clear his vision, his steps going wild and his path erratic. "Now it reminds me a lot of home." Obsidian took a moment to reminisce about his old home back in the Crystal Empire, ye olde clock shoppe he was raised in. He still found it amusing that ponies these days honestly thought how ponies wrote back then. "Ye olde sowing machine." He sounded out. He thought for a moment, trying to come up with something else that could be paired with "Ye olde" that would be funnier.

Obsidian Hour then let out a startled yelp and hit the breaks in order to stop from trotting face-first into the back of somepony else's cart. "When did this get- Hey, you better not be selling clocks too. Then we'll have to be friends or something. Truly the worst of fates."

He unhitched his wagon from himself and stepped around the stranger's cart to get a better view of whoever owned it. He blinked when he saw a pegasus and three unicorns, one of which was wearing a snazzy suit and mask. "Oh, uh, hello-ish?"

"Whew! It's been a while since this happened..." Twilight raised her head from where it had been planted on the innermost pages of "Magic of Might and Mystical Origins". The princess rubbed a hoof into her eyes and sat up. Sunlight was glittering through a gap in the curtains of the Golden Oaks Library, lighting dust motes into a sparkling cloud. "I used to fall asleep reading here all the time..." She spoke to nopony in particular as she got up from the chair she had fallen asleep in the night before. "It actually feels good to have time to spend here again."

The princess went to the window and pulled the curtain shut. She trotted to a nearby mirror and fixed herself up. Smoothing her forelocks and removing her read glasses from below in horn. Though it was usually an uncomfortable position to fall asleep in, Twilight felt as good as new! After all the recent events it was really nice to spend time in her old stomping ground. Once she was looking more presentable she went back and opened the curtain. A view of Ponyville greeted her and Twilight's muzzle lifted in a smile. She loved this town!

She gathered up her belongings. Books and parchments levitated from their places and into her saddle bag one by one. Usually she would have Spike help her with this but the little dragon was probably still asleep in his new room in the castle of Friendship. That was fine, Twilight could do things on her own. She was the princess of Friendship after all. Once everything was straightened up the purple alicorn trotted out the door to meet the day.

She hadn't gotten far when she noticed two things. One, her tummy was rumbling. She would need to find some food sooner or later. Two, there was Starlight Glimmer! She hadn't seen her newest friend in a couple days and it would be so good to see how she was getting on with life in Ponyville. She tried to meet up with Starlight at least once a week to help her out and just do friend stuff together. This seemed as good a time as any to check in. Plus, there were lots of other ponies around she could meet.

Twilight trotted up to the small group.

"Good morning everypony!" She gave them a cheery smile. "Starlight! How are you?"

She smiled and finished her greeting, before noticing the arrival of a few more members.  She smiled and greeted each one in turn, though one could admit the smile was rather...similar to the practiced one she had mastered for Our Town.

She remained silent, both not quite sure what to say, and having nothing to say in the first place.  She gave a small, real smile to the tottering Crystal Pony, trying hard to resist a smirk.  His arrival really was quite...funny.

When Twilight appeared, she sparked up.  It wasn't everyday that a Princess would entertain the small-town folks of Ponyville~  Deep inside, Starlight was, admittingly, a bit upset.  Every single situation she had with Twilight, the Princess would try to make some sort of lesson rotate around it.  It had gotten silly, almost a bit OCD, with every act Starlight doing becoming a new thing to learn.  It was...annoying.

Still, she knew her manners-she bowed her head in greeting, "Hello, Twilight~"

To see the first cart roll into the city, it was a little surprise for Spearmint, but she smiled nonetheless, taking a few seconds to look at the advertisements, but there barely was any time to waste - conversations were starting, and quickly, the pegasus' attention was pulled right back to them, as Lunar Relic introduced himself.

For a moment, Spearmint felt she had to make a show out of her own introduction, but the yelp that she heard next stopped those thoughts immediately. Something about selling clocks? What in the world...? Spearmint's face showed a mixture of confusion and stress.

Nonetheless, she spread her wings wide, and was prepared to once again make an entrance, but then, something else caught her eye. Blinking and rubbing her left front hoof against her eyes, she could have sworn this was a Unicorn... no, no wait, wings... lavender? ...By Celestia. Spearmint's eyes went wide for a moment as everything led to the right conclusion as to who this pony actually was.

Twilight Sparkle. Princess Twilight Sparkle.

Making an entrance in front of the Princess? No. Just no. Spearmint began fluttering just above the ground, and was so lost in thought for those few seconds that she barely caught the name of the pony the Princess was speaking to. Starlight? ...Wait a... was it the same Starlight she was thinking of? The one she'd heard all the rumors about...

Moments after Starlight spoke, Spearmint's front left hoof, as if having a mind of its own, suddenly slapped its owner's face, effectively snapping the Pegasus out of her trance. Right in front of two of the most important ponies in Ponyville and this was how she was going to greet them?

Finally landing a little more awkwardly than she would have liked, she took a moment to regain her composure before finally introducing herself, barely managing to look at the other ponies at eye level, lowering her head a little as she spoke. "Hi! Um... I-I'm Spearmint, I..." Spearmint's cheeks turned a rather significant shade of red as she took a few steps back, shying away from the other ponies, a far cry from the grand entrance she was going to make just a minute ago. Yet now, she was beyond concerned about how she would look like in front of these ponies, her mind starting to race as she was running through a list of possible scenarios in her mind.

Of course, this only made Spearmint's facial expression clearer to read - she was obviously nervous, and as the seconds ticked by, it only seemed like it was getting worse. Her wings quickly folded to her sides, as she looked quickly from pony to pony. This wasn't the way she wanted to make an entrance, but in the end... what an entrance it was. For all the wrong reasons, of course, she thought.

Thunderbuck stepped back, a full three paces the moment Twilight introduced herself. He grew absolutely silent as well. His mane shifting to cover the eye holes of his mask as he tilted his head down a bit. As wild as it looked, it was still just a mane and gravity could influence it. The pony that seemed to be selling clocks apparently didnt notice his posters. "I am a mere musician." he said softly, though he said it soft enough it was just above a whisper. The young stallion stepped back closer to his cart.

He took a moment to move so that he was mostly obscured by the cart. A princess. Here of all places. He hadn't remembered that Ponyville was home to Princess Twilight. A fact that in this moment of remembrance he regretting let slip his mind. Any moment now, his niece would return from her venture to buy sweets and  he and she would be stuck before a princess. Buck tried to think of an excuse to move his cart immediately. it wasn't actually blocking the road. he had purposefully pulled aside. It was not large. Just barely bigger than the average pack cart. It housed a few instruments and a place for Buck and CaramelCream to sleep.

'great.... perfect. last time we were around royalty it cost Storm her job and daughter. what could we lose this time?' he thought to himself. He was not exactly full of ideas that did not pertain to music. he had that flute. But he knew better than to try to use its magic. As powerful an artifact as it may be. he had no control over its effects. A thing he was forced to remember every full moon. At least he could control THAT aspect of its effects. He wondered a moment more before he decided just to suck it up and deal with it as it came. Tat was the life of a show pony. What came your way was all you had. And Thunderbuck Cloud was no exception to that rule. At least here he had the advantage of being away from a large group of guards she could use to harass him with. the others were introducing themselves to the princess. buck hoped that would buy him a moment or two to come up with something to say.

Obsidian Hour had a somewhat dorky smile plastered upon his face as he titlet his head a bit. "Aha, now a whole group. This should be interestuiging, yes." As he looked at each pony to get a feel for them visually, his eyes stopped at the lavender Alicorn that had just joined the group. "Oh. Horn and wings. Well that's just cheating. Just pick one and be happy with... Oh right. You're, uh... One sec, bad with names... Twilit? Twilit Sperkle? Something like that? That new princess I heard stuff about?"

He took a moment to think before addressing the small group he now had. "Uh, ahem, anywhatevers, my name is Obsidian Hour, clock maker extrodin... Extrado... I make clocks good. Novelty clocks, specifically. But, however, on another hoof, if you guys have a clock that needs fixing, I can do that too. Really. Please, I need the bits. It's for a good cause. Namely, because I like having money. Beats the alternative."

Obsidian paused, and tilted his head in the other direction. "Uhm, sorry. Rambling. Just, um, hello. Again." He scratched the back of his hoof awkwardly.

He hopes dearly that he would find somepony interested in his wares or services in this town, otherwise it would be a nice, if pointless, sightseeing tour. He didn't exactly get a lot of bits in the last town, and wanted to make up for that.

Twilight noticed that since she had become a princess, ponies tended to act a bit well, odd around her. It just went with the territory and usually the lavender alicorn was able to put ponies at ease. She smiled winningly at all the ponies that had made introductions.

"Hello to all of you! It's great to meet new ponies. I'm Twilight Sparkle." She winked at the stallion that couldn't quite remember her name. He seemed like a friendly fellow. Actually, they all did. Though the one in the mask seemed unusually shy. That was ok. Everypony was different.

She turned to Starlight. "It's great to see you out here making new friends Starlight!" So far she hadn't noticed that Starlight wasn't exactly thrilled to see her this morning.

"So what are we all up to?"

Spike wasn't usually one to get up as early as he was, usually he clung to sleep as long as he possibly could, but the sunlight that was filtering through the curtains was warm, and invited him into the waking world, which he greeted with a huge toothy yawn. He'd spent the first few minutes of being awake looking throughout the castle for Twilight, until he remembered that she'd gone to the library that they'd called home for so long. A part of him would admit to missing the place, it held a lot of nostalgia  for the sentimental dragon. But he'd be a liar if he said he didn't appreciate having his own room, something he'd never actually had before.

He huffed as he closed the large doors to the front entrance, deciding to go and find his friend, it was such a perfect, sunny day anyway, so he was happy to be outside enjoying it. He noticed when he entered town that it was all hustle and bustle, ponies were very active this morning, which he credited to just how awesome it was outside. He found himself grinning as he waved to ponies going about their business, the agreeable little dragon could easily say that he was friends with everyone, and there weren't many ponies who disliked him. He got wide eyed and called out when he spotted Twilight and Starlight not too far away, "Heeey! Twi, Star!" He picked up speed in his eagerness to greet them, coming to a stop in front of the two mares and the other assembled ponies, "Morning! I thought you might've ended up spending the night, Twi!" He grinned at Starlight and gave her a friendly wave as well, "Did you two sleep alright?" He peeked around the side of them both to the other ponies, "New friends?" He hoped so, new friends were always exciting.

Linar looks around rather surprised to the sudden group. He nods to the travelers "I could use a new clock for my store maybe we can talk later?" He asks Obsidian then he looked at Twilight and bowed his slightly head in greeting "Good morning Princess Twilight, Spike, an uh....Starlight Glimmer right? It's nice to meet you all. I am Lunar Relic. I am a scholar and researcher from Canterlot. It might be possible a book or two of mine is in the Ponyville Library or...was... I am sorry about what happened to your old home Twilight..." He says. "Anyways how are things going for you Princess, Spike, Starlight?"

Starlight flinched when Spike showed up, the two of her 'mentor's' pestering her to make friends.  She resisted the urge to spark some magic at the both of them, but she knew she should be a whole lot more thankful to those that saved her life.  As each pony began to elaborate on their roles and oh-so-important jobs, she felt herself shrink more and more.  On one hoof, she wanted to brag about her magical talents and be able to match up to her ego.  On the other hoof, she didn't want to seem like even more of a villain, or a non-gregarious pony.  She settled on a generic answer, "I'm under the tutelage of Princess Twilight Sparkle, to learn more about friendship and to become more open to the idea of making new friends,"  She ended the note on a smile, her perfect, 'Our Town' smile.  She slowly walked over towards Spike, hoping to avoid any awkward situation between Twilight and herself by shoving Spike into the way.

Spearmint's mind seemed to be racing at the speed of a Sonic Rainboom as she looked from pony to pony, still stunned at the fact that Princess Twilight, of all ponies, was right there. Overhearing Obsidian Hour introducing themselves made things slightly easier, but then came perhaps the event that she didn't see coming.

The Princess... wasn't acting much like a Princess, Spearmint thought. If anything... it almost looked like she thought she was just another pony. She hadn't met Princess Celestia or Princess Luna, for that matter, but the way the Alicorn was acting... it certainly seemed like she was just one pony amongst many.

And if there was any doubt about the identity of the Alicorn - the baby dragon, Spike, that was soon catching up with his friend. There weren't many dragons in Ponyville, and Spike was as friendly as dragons came, she thought. As Lunar Relic soon mentioned about getting a clock, though, Spearmint couldn't help but consider the idea herself, and within a few seconds, she would chip in with her thoughts on the matter, as she seemed more at ease, her wings softly spreading before folding again before she spoke. "Obsidian Hour, was it? Could we talk about a clock purchase later? I... I think I eventually need one, really..."

And then she heard Lunar Relic address Starlight again. Starlight Glimmer? Everything seemed to match, yet... the rumors she'd heard, this was no time to even think about addressing them. And to hear this student of the Princess speak... she didn't seem like such a bad pony, either. In fact... a student of friendship? That was intriguing on its own. Not to mention all the rumors, but those could wait. Slowly approaching Starlight, she would speak up again. "Studying with Princess Twilight? Sounds pretty awesome if you ask me. How's it been going so far?" She asked, smiling softly. If she was going to make friends, after all... she couldn't just shy back and not speak, right?

The sound of hooves quickly approaching signaled the arrival of the foal. The chubby little thing ran right to Thunderbuck, By passing all others. She smiled up at him before she noticed he was wearing the mask. That was the moment she noticed the other ponies. The foal, taking but a moment to set her bags own, stood between Buck and the others, as if defensively protecting him. However, it was easy to see she wasnt as good at that bluff as she thought. The large bows on her ears read DEAF on them. BUck quickly ushered her into the cart where she could enjoy her sweets. She sat watching out the window of it as Buck just stayed close.

Buck was watching twilight. More from fear than anything else. He stayed away from royalty if he could help it. But this was ponyville, heart of Twilight's realm. Buck sighed and mustered up some courage. stepping back to the group he kept silent. Letting his mask and tux do the talking for him. Hoping that ponies would if nothing more, just let his niece be.

Obsidian blinked a bit when the Princess winked at him. He blinked again when Spike showed up. "Oh, hey. You're, uh, that guy, right? That dragon guy my folks talked about? Something about the Crystal Heart and Equestria Games? Neat." He gave a non-threatening smile, curious about the one his parents wrote about in their letters.

His smile widened when he heard that two of the ponies were interested in clock purchases. "Yes, good! I can do that clock thing, er, Lunar and Speary was it yes? I can do all sorts of neat clock-related clock stuff. Yes." Finally, some business! This place is looking up already.

This student of friendship, Starlight, did seem pretty interesting, if a bit shy. Pleasing color tone, all that. Something Lunar said struck him as curious. "...Library? Old home? Good morning? Something happened in this town, I take it?"

When the foal stepped out, Obsidian took an awkward half-step back, trying to ignore the child. If he couldn't see her, he couldn't see him, right! Show no weakness! Except for that gaping weakness on his face. Missed a spot. He mumbled incoherently for a half second. "Er... Right..."

This sure was an interesting group of ponies! Twilight's mind raced for how to continue this onto the road of firm new friendships. It didn't seem like any pony was really in the need of assistance. Some of them seemed a little nervous but she had seen that before. For some reason being a princess of Equestria had an odd effect on lots of ponies. Some got all big eyes and swoony. Some bowed and scraped around (which made her feel really super awkward), and some just got super shy or nervous. The latter seemed to be what was happening to most of the ponies around her. The one in the mask with the filly seemed downright petrified of her...or of the situation in general.

"Errr...yes, well, thank you for your condolences." She smiled at the pony who offered her a sorry for her old home. However, topics such as those didn't lead the right way either. At least the way she wanted this to go. "Things have gotten better and better here in Ponyville as of late though!"

She eyed the cart where the little filly had vanished. She would have liked to have said hello to her but she was gone so fast!

The pony Spearmint seemed to be willing to converse on a happier note. That was good! She wanted to get this gathering going in a cheery direction. Maybe that would get some of the others to open up a bit.

"Glad to hear you all are willing to offer your bits for clocks! That's a fascinating trade!" She nodded at Obsidian.

Then she turned to Spearmint. "So, how long have you been in Ponyville?" She smiled her most winning smile.

After she had asked the question she nudged Spike. "Spike? Could you take Starlight and see if that little filly would like to play? She seemed like she could use a good friend." She mummerd the words, trying to keep the plan to just a few of them.

She smiled, answering the mare's question.

Quote

"Studying with Princess Twilight? Sounds pretty awesome if you ask me. How's it been going so far?"

"It's been quite...the journey,"  her voice drooped at the end, trying hard not to grimace at the memories of Twilight trying oh-so-hard to "force" friendship to her, "...quite the journey, quite the tale,"

As the ponies began to converse, she started to single the mare out.  The mare seemed both confused by her, and fearful.  Perhaps she had heard the rumours?  She almost laughed, everypony had heard the rumors~

"You from around?  You look..." bedazzled.

To see the smile widen on Obsidian's face had a similar effect on Spearmint's own smile; yet it faltered as he would refer to her as "Speary". With a cough and slight wave from her right front hoof, she would clarify rather quietly. "Um... that's Spearmint." Didn't need to be any more vocal than that...

However, her attention snapped right back to the Princess as she would speak to her. How long has she been in Ponyville? She would again use that right front hoof to scratch her head as she mused out loud. "Two... three months? Maybe more... it hasn't been a year, though, I know that. I'd be surprised if it's more than four months, really..." Whether she had forgotten or just not kept track was anypony's guess, but judging by the little jump and squeak that came from her moments later, it was clear that somepony was intending to stay quiet!

Her mind would finally calm down by the time Starlight replied to her, and yet, her cheery demeanor would show again, as she replied with a smile. "Quite the journey? I can only imagine, being a student of Princess Twilight... and well... I've been around here for a bit, but... I'm mainly from Cloudsdale." No surprise there, little Pegasus... most Pegasi come from that city. Hmm. Although it seemed like Starlight wasn't done speaking, as she spoke up again. "Um... is everything okay?" She asked, unsure what was wrong... if anything was wrong, that is.

Buck's eyes had drifted off. He was looking for a place to perform. While his ears were still turned directly at Twilight, his eyes were looking here and there. Taking in the places and spots that might help amplify and broadcast his music around the town. As he turned slowly, he spotted a patch of ground that sat away from the houses and shops. It was fairly open, and there was a farm in the distance. Buck wondered just how much of that farm was open land. Maybe he could convince the owner to let him park his car there overnight before they set out again. Then he noticed the orchard. Nope. that was out. There was no way he was going to get there with that kind of distraction. No way.

Blast. This town was Twilight's home AND had an apple orchard. This was not going to be good. He would have to park in town and spend a good deal on fruit to keep in the cart for the night. He finally spoke. "Is there a fruit vendor in town?" The question was odd he knew. But a lot of ponies liked fruit so he hoped it would suffice.

Obsidian opened his mouth, then closed it. He opened it once more. "I... Er..."

He frowned, unsure. It seemed he would get a nice amount of customers in this town, but at the moment there was not too much he could say. The conversation of clocks had expired, and he lacked any additional topics to grasp onto.

"So, uh... That cloud city thingy, Cloudsdale right? Does it move around a lot?" He asked the other ponies, desperately trying to have some way into a conversation not about clocks.

Things continued to progress in an...odd...fashion, for lack of a better way of stating things. Of course Twilight would keep this thought to herself. It just seemed this particular gathering of ponies was a bit of an awkward coupling. Though she was all for pushing friendships seeing as how most any ponies could get along together there were times when this wasn't entirely necessary. This it seemed was turning into one of those times. She glanced around for a couple moments,  wondering how she should go about this.

Then Thunderbuck asked about fruit stands.

"Why yes, actually there are quite a few vendors in town though when they are all open for business varies. When we have the big weekend markets there's just about every kind of fruit and vegetable you can think of for sale. But, I'm not sure if there's that many out today." She tried a smile. "I can show you the way if you wish. It's about time I head back to the castle... heh heh..." She laughed a bit nervously.

"If you want, I can show you where the vendors usually set up?"

With that the Princess turned to leave.

"I'll catch up with you later Starlight! Good to meet all of you!"
