      Events, Themes, and Ads   07/10/2016

Hi everypony! You might have noticed some changes to the site.   Firstly, we've got ourselves a snazzy new theme featuring artwork by our own Zeig and Brianblackberry!

If you've been reading the banners, you'll know that the Grand Galloping Gala is on. Head on down to our RP section to see who's playing!

Finally we've got the matter of advertisements. In order to help fund the site, we've enabled Adsense on most subpages. They are intentionally kept low key and unobtrusive so as not to interfere with your forum browsing experience. To help keep Canterlot running, we ask that you disable Adblock Plus and NoScript for Canterlot and allow the ads to be displayed. As the ad program is still experimental, we will be doing tweaks to both the visuals and under the hood as time goes on. We will have more detailed policy on ads and the fate of donations released in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your continued patronage and happy roleplaying!

The Permanent Naughty Plaque! BUM BUM BUMMM!!

11 posts in this topic

So I was watching the Powerpuff Girls' Christmas Episode earlier, 'Twas the Fight Before Christmas, and I noticed a neat little Easter Egg.

...OR PERHAPS, A DISTURBING REVELATION.

So the PPG go to the North Pole and find Santa Claus. There, the Permanent Naughty Plaque *BUM BUM BUMMM* is revealed. A list of people who will NEVER, EVER receive Christmas presents again. EVER.

On the list:

Bill McCracken

Ryan Faust

Adolph Schickelgruber

Stephen Fonti

Bill McCracken and Ryan Faust are obviously named after Craig McCracken and his wife (everyone's favorite pony goddess) Lauren Faust. BUT... they're on THE PERMANENT NAUGHTY PLAQUE (BUM BUM BUMMM) xD

Perhaps the sly first name changes is enough to have spared them from an eternity of no Christmas presents~

Low quality TV pic for reference~

Yet more interestingness (although not pony related...)Alois Schickelgruber was a real person who had his name changed to Alios Hitler, and was Adolf Hitler's Father!...

And after a quick wiki look up, Stever Fonti was a wiriter for a couple cartoons... Spongebob, futurama, etc... so thats kinda odd, but interesting...

Yeah, Adolf Hitler once went by his father's last name. So he was Adolf Schickelgruber. The Adolph Schickelgruber on the Permanent Naughty list is actually Hitler.

Makes sense~ xD

Ah, That actually does make much more sense... If that was his name as a kid i can see why it would be on Santa's list =3 Darn wikipedia, not giving me information like that in the first paragraph...

Haha, nice little discovery, Fawkes.

On a side note, I'm annoyed I've never seen this PPG episode before...

I was watching that around Christmas too and noticed it. It's funny how shows include jokes like those that we understand later in our lives, but flew right over our heads when we were kids. xD
