Perhaps he suffers from cutie pox? Seriously though, these are always great and this one is no exception. How do you manage the mottled look? Is it just a texture overlay over the whole thing?

It's a texture overlay, yes! I adjust the opacity differently depending on how I need the colors to look, so some seem a little more papery (parchment-y?) than others. It's a very simple and fun effect!
