An old Spike sprite drawn to a 4 color palette, NES-style.
Had this sitting around for months now. Forgot about it til just now.
I barely even notice the light green in his eye. I thought about trying to make some kind of critique, but I don't really see how this could possibly be improved. 
Well, Spike doesn't need more colors... Dash is another thing... or not.

That's the magic of contrast! And his dark purple pupil looks black surrounded by the medium purple.

I've thought about that one. Dash's 4 colors: A true red (maybe give it a bit of orange to keep it bright), a dark royal blue for the mane and for any dark accents (like pupils), a cyan for the pelt color, and a faded yellow for the mane and any light accents (like the whites of her eyes).
Hmm, or purple. Purple might make for a better dark accent.
