Aileron the hippogriff

This is a rough idea of what I'd like my hippogriff to look like. It looks kinda too colourful, but it's not bad...I think...

I first sketched it out on paper and then put it onto Inkscape to vector. I was halfway from finishing when I realized it was not in proportion. I tried adjusting it but I just couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I just continued. He is supposed to have a cutie-mark, but i haven't come up with an idea for it yet.

Forgive me if i'm wrong since I haven't watched further than season 3 (oops), but hippogriffs aren't canon right?

Looks fantastic - I'm a sucker for parrot hippogriffs/griffons, and I'm actually making one myself .

The color scheme has a bit too much orange though, it makes him a bit oversaturated to look at. :?

I based him on a rainbow lorikeet which usually have bright yellow or orange feathers. But now that I look at it, I can see what you are trying to say about the colour. This was only a rough design so i'll keep that in mind when I draw him again :D

I know you did - I live in perth, don't I? sometimes scores of the noisy buggers will be flying over your head.

I'd recommend adding some yellow to balance the warm colors out, but be creative
