Just messing around with trying to get nice clean-looking linework without having to use vectors, which confuse the hell out of me >.<

So do you do it all freehand then?  That's-a pretty cool.

haha!  What does her cutie mark mean?  Its a funny contrast between her real expression.

Also: when I'm freehanding art, I've got undo on hand at all times because I usually go through 2-5 attempts before I get the right stroke.  Do you have any kinds of guides that you use?
    Dessa: Yep, all freehand ^_^

GM: The cutie mark is a random one that I just drew on her because I like smiley faces XD It is a bit of a contrast, though I imagine she is quite a happy pony generally, but has just spotted something that made her confused.

And yeah, I do exactly the same thing with the undo and repeated strokes. I'm surprised that you use a freehand method though, all your pictures look so professional that I would have thought you did one of those long-winded methods where you draw a line with the curve tool and then spend an hour readjusting it so it's just right.

I don't have any guides. What sort of thing do you mean?

Well, I don't use freehand on all of my art... Most of the stuff with outlines and shading is though.  I've heard of some people occasionally tracing with a piece of paper on top of their tablet, or using physical ellipse guides on top of their tablet as well.  I'm sure there are other ways to use guides that I haven't heard of though.  (setting the sensitivity might count?)  Anyway, no right or wrong way to do it as far as I can tell.
Oh... well those kind of sound like they limit what you can do more than free you up... but if it works for people, fair enough ^_^
