  2. Below Oakly, Triton shot out of the water. He landed on the surface of the water, skimming across the surface keeping pace with Oakly. “I’m going to try and slow it down from the front!” He yelled from below as he activated his dragon aura. Then he shot forward leaving a large wake behind him to get ahead of the ship.
  3. Rainbow gulped when Twilight mentioned working her over. Based on what Twilight had been doing earlier, Rainbow wasn't certain how safe for consumption such a thought was. Based on what Rainbow's mind was going through in terms of all the possible interpretations, it likely wasn't very safe. And just as worrying was how enticing such a thought process became as she delved into it. Upon her came in unstoppably a furious onslaught of emotions tethered to little more than a concept and a dream, anchored in mysterious tides of magenta. It was enough to turn a cyan pegasus pink if only for the duality it all presented, if she allowed herself a moment to wallow in the muck of her own mental gymnastics. She had real athletics to watch, however, distracting her as best they could. Twilight, distracting her best as she could which was happening in larger swathes of mental real estate, was still not enough to make Rainbow Dash forget the lessons she was trying to impart. Repetition, stress, mental and physical elasticity stretched and stretched, the work being done was less exciting than it was going to be later but was constantly important to remind Twilight that this wasn't going to be a job done over a day or two. She could conquer anything individually but it was only in the aggregate that she was going to be anywhere near successful enough so that when she found herself up against it when fighting a villain she could act purely on instinct rather than fumble over plans. Twilight did well on her first loop. Once you understand flight and you could fire off a horn, doing such was very simple. Still, there were problems. She did everything well but not well enough. The delay between her finishing the manoeuvre and firing was too long, the blast lacked a certain speed and curtness, and the loop was inefficient. None of it was based on obscure wingtip knowledge, at least not this one. She just needed more experience, more repetition, and the improvement would be gradual and important. Twilight could do this, because she could do anything she put her mind to. And her wings. Horn too. And overworked muscles, can never forget those. "Not bad, Twi. Not bad for a first go, at least. You're gonna have to be faster, more accurate, and tighter. Run it again and again. Do it ten times, then we'll take a breather- not bad for a bit of stretching," Rainbow said with a laugh before giving Twilight a reassuring pat on the wingblades. "You can do it, Sparkle!"
  4. Applejack took tremendous pride in the accomplishments of her kin, as much as she took pride in her own. This was known, and Rarity had just thought about it. What was not as readily apparent unless you gave yourself to dissecting the way a pony looked at the world was that she was as equally pleased by their success on a deeply personal level as one could be in their own. Hearing her discuss her own skills as a byproduct of that started off feeling unusual, though as always it moved back to her family. The skills and methods taught to her by Granny Smith no doubt helped inform not only her baking and work ethic but the warmth and friendly forwardness that was her most personable quality, among other innate features intrinsic to her agreeable nature. "Well, I know I see shipments of Sweet Apple Acres product as far north as Seaddle sometimes. You're secretly a very successful business magnate, though you'd never admit to it," she teased, knowing Applejack's self-identity as a down-home mare would be challenged by this objective fact. Alas, they didn't have time to unpack her latest tickling of Applejack's self-deflated ego as Spike called them to take their real positions. Rarity followed until they came to a set of steps on the side of the upper terrace that spiralled around a turret and ended at a comfortable sized balcony, one that was much higher up than its surroundings. Indeed, she didn't think such towers were even open to the public. Either they were reserved exclusively for royalty or they were used by guards, right? She was proven wrong. What a special treat! She had always considered herself a high society mare but this was something apart entirely. Nopony that she was aware of had ever had the pleasure of using these towers. Truly, Twilight was going out of her way for them. But why? What was so special about this night, this event that they had experienced before, that was making Twilight go all out? She resolved to ask her later. Maybe it was as simple as Twilight was becoming comfortable in exercising her power. Maybe not. It was something to unpack later. Applejack offered to take the balcony at the top with Rarity. How considerate! And likely warm. Applejack exuded quality body warmth which would provide invaluable on such a cold night. "Why thank you Applejack! Now don't sell yourself short. You must keep warm yourself, you know," she said with a wink as she trotted up to the luxurious seat cushion. She laid back into it and stretched out her body, taking up her fair share and then some. A breeze visited her and left her mane rolling and whisping over the top of the cushion as she leaned into it, mussing up her mane momentarily only to force it back into its proper place. Readied finally, she patted the cushion. "Applejack dear, come on. The show is about to start!" she trilled out to her friend as she prepared to spend the rest of the evening with her. Or however long the event lasted, mind you. She wasn't sure if there was a major difference in the way Ponyville and Canterlot celebrated in terms of how much time was spent, though she could only hope so. More time with friends was always well spent. When Applejack finally did make her way over, Rarity sighed. "What a fine evening this is turning out to be. I remember running Ponyville's Summer Sun Celebration for all those years, but to experience the originator from all the way up here? How wonderful!" she tittered, "truthfully, I always mark this day for causes other than the Summer Sun itself. It reminds me of when we all grew closer all those years ago...how long it has been! I swear I can feel the encroaching of age, but no matter. Applejack, what do you remember of the Summer Sun Celebration in your own family? I'm sure the Apples have creative ways to celebrate it."
  5. Yesterday
  6. Trax sat back in his chair, processing what he should have during his debriefings of the Batkin, he thought too logically on the whole matter. Not taking into account the depth of Shade’s past actions. Now Trax thought of something else, to date, Shade is the only one to have committed an actual War Crime. “I see your point, and it’s one that requires thought, let alone action. You’re Grace,” Trax stood up from his chair, at attention to his Queen, “What would you have us do?” Black Star approached the throne again, this time he two volunteers from their army to drink his new serum of Black Magic, one which took him all night to perfect. “My Lord, I have two Soldiers who will test this new concoction. Just as you said, same strength but their minds left alone, just as you asked, My Lord.” He explained excitedly, his eyes were wide and blood shot, tinted slightly green from his excessive use of Black Magic. Any time he wasn’t working on his serum, he was making Golems, and recently experimenting with Skeletons to use as reanimated Soldiers. The past years battles have been more than enough to collect on. The two soldiers bowed to Maelstrom, “It would be our honor Sir!” They spoke together. Chandler sat patiently on the side, watching the events. Ally yawned from behind Maelstrom, lazily sleep on her usual couch. The other Silent Fang that remained loyal; Dark Shade, Demi Tyne, Godbrand, and Charity, all sat in chairs around the stairs leading up to Maelstroms throne. Arranged in order of strongest to weakest, an empty one for Fear was to Maelstroms left, who never really used it. On the right was supposedly Caesar's, should he return, below that was Black Star’s.
  7. Ehehehe.... whoops. Blueblood hadn't informed Hogo-sha of the rather... storied past of their party leader. Thankfully, it wasn't a problem for the yokai, one instance where his being a foreigner actually helped with them getting along. Not having suffered at Sombra's hooves, either personally or vicariously, there was no lingering bitterness to linger like a hidden rock serpent, waiting to strike. The Prince shuddered, he felt as if he'd had a narrow escape from some dark machination, and that a plotter was grumbling in secret while drawing up some elaborate plan b. Trying to get his mind on the subject, he threw himself into the role of lieutenant, trying to get as good a grip as he could on the situation. "Great, while we're tracking down where this is coming from... does anyone remember when it started? I've been away for a while, and I don't recall anything dark in the atmosphere when I left... so it must have come up between now and when I took you out for drinks, Sombra. What's been happening around here since them?"
  8. Black Star and Chandler went to confer with the other barges still floating, out of their entire army they brought, only two dozen were Batkin, the other thousands were animated golems and undead skeletal soldiers. Seems they now lost half their forces brought, a large blow to them but will be enough to stake a foothold on land. Ally grit her teeth, “A challenge indeed...” Oakly maneuvered the small ship around a pillar of rock jutting out from the sea, aiming the bow back towards the island ahead. “She reach land within the next two hours, Kasey be ready to-“ Barely getting his words out, Oakly felt the whole ship lurch forward, speeding across the waters surface. Killjoy and Triton were thrown off their feet and sent flying back, Seven went crashing through the stairs on the left side and planted into the wall behind, too sick to do anything about it. Kasey was in the crows nest, his legs dangling out as he held on for dear life, Oakly felt nothing around him, completely weightless as he soared back over the back of the ship. Fear gripped him for half a second, but he recovered as his gray aura wings spread forth from his back. The ship moved fast, Oakly was barely keeping pace with it a dozen yards back, watching the sails being blown by what seemed like an unknown force. “What the.. how?”
  9. Grey had his eyes focused on the mare as the warm fire from the fireplace gently tingled his fur, warming him up. Oh. So her father was a traveler. Was he the stallion on the pictures on the wall? Probably... Maybe? "Ha! Well, sometimes some words can slip out when the story is exciting, that's for sure" This grey stallion wasn't one to swear often but he understood why one would do that. After all, sometimes the best way to underline the importance of a sentence was to add a good old **** here or there. When the filly mentioned her sister being on a story-hiatus, Grey turned his head towards the red mare and smiled "Really? Pity. I'm sure she would have some great stories to tell" His eyes went back to the filly as said that fiction doesn't hurt "Exactly. And the best part is when you cannot tell which is true and which is false" A small wink was sent towards her as a reply. "A story I enjoy telling...." Grey placed a hoof on his chin, his eyes rolling upwards as he thought for a good couple of seconds, letting out a constant hmmm out of his mouth "Ah! I got one!" He exclaimed before turning his head towards his flank, which bared his cutie mark, a yellow shield. Above it, a slight scrape could be visible as a scar was formed, going through the side of his flank. It was definitely old since the scar was quite hard to spot. "I got this one quite a while ago" His head motioned towards his flank. "I was in quite a tough spot at the time since the little money I had was running out and I had to really cut corners to get by. I saved every bit I could and spent them only when necessary. One day, I was sitting in one of the pubs in Hoofington with my purse almost entirely empty. I was going to spend the last bits I had on a stew when suddenly I felt someone show my back, passing by. I turned around and noticed a rather young looking, orange pegasus with a bandage on his wing quickly throwing me a glace before heading off. I knew something wasn't right and started to check my belt with my hooves. The place where my purse should be was empty. Without thinking, I jumped away from the chair and dashed behind the thief, smashing the doors open. And there he wasn, heading down the street as if nothing happened. 'Hey! Stop!' I cried out before giving chase. There were many ponies in the street but not one of them bothered to try to stop him. And so, soon he dashed into one of the side alleys, probably hoping to hide in the labyrinth of small walk-ways that Hoofington has. Little did he know that I know this city like the back of my own hoof and managed to get some short-cuts. After a while of running back and forth, I managed to corner this thief into one of the dead-end alleys. 'Give back my purse' I said to him. And this orange bastar... sorry, stallion reached behind his back, presumably to get my purse. But oh, nooo, he couldn't make it easy. Instead what I saw was the bright reflection of the sun in the blade of his knife." Grey's tone jumped up and down throughout this tale but now he was silent, looking at the filly, judging her expression.
  10. Oh. Well now I'll have to look it up on the wikipedia 😅
  11. Same as with your other application, except mark it as a Cast character!
  12. Rose sniffed. "Very well, you can have your victory." Despite her jibe, however, she was looking forward to this trip to some extent. It was surely peaceful out in the Whitetail Woods, and it might give her some time to simply relax and think. She'd be free to do whatever she liked, if anything at all, after they set up camp of course. "It's such a pity. I was hoping to get even a hint of what this danger was so I could at least know what I could expect. Alas," the pegasus shrugged. Her attention was snagged by the heavy sound of the train's approach and her ears perked towards the sound as it steadily grew louder. Their ride was here! It stirred some excitement up within her for what lay ahead of them, and it was with an effort that Rose pulled herself back to her hooves. She tried to do it with as much grace as she could muster so that nopony would see her struggling, though she'd likely be unsuccessful in that attempt. In any case, she could strive for that grace now that she was on her hooves, holding her head high and looking as unbothered as she possibly could as she moved closer to Grey on the platform. The stallion had pulled his bags on with ease, something she could admire just a little bit. After all, he was stronger than she was, and he was far more used to the weight and.. everything else about travel. Rose stood by him, watching the train's approach as it came ever closer to the train station, and soon, slowing down in front of the boarding platform with a squeal of brakes.
  13. Those hours passed Sombra by and lead him right back to the train station, where he was planning on returning to Canterlot after a less than productive trip to the country town. The only thing notable that he could tell Celestia about when he returned to Canterlot would be his encounter with Hope, but beyond that? Eh. He started up the wooden steps of the platform when it happened. The feeling of dark magic just on the edge of his awareness. Sombra came to a halt and looked back at the town with a frown, scowling when he saw the gathering of dark clouds and various ponies drifting up in what looked like... bubbles? He blinked. Somehow, he had a feeling he knew who was causing it. Sombra turned back to the platform, finding himself in a dilemma. It would be very easy for him to simply get on the train and go right back to Canterlot, to leave ponies to deal with this on their own. Surely the Princess Twilight Sparkle would rise to the occasion to meddle, as she did, but who knew? His tail lashed. He had no interest in helping. Grumbling to himself, Sombra heaved a sigh and turned back towards town with a roll of his red eyes. Perhaps he would decide to meddle, though why Hope didn't come directly back to him to blast him with magic in some fit of distraught anger was a mystery. The king of shadows trod right back into town, heading for where he knew Hope's house to be. He ignored panicked ponies along the way, feeling that what ponies were still on the ground were more than capable of reigning in the upset children without his help.
  14. Ok. Then how do i apply to rp as her?
  15. The wind was getting stronger in the cabin, forcing Daze to really flap her wings to stay in the air without getting murdered by the strength of the wind. The mare's wings were pretty strong from flying all the time anyway, but this wind was a whole other level. Another thing on a whole other level, Daze's brain was pounding with thoughts. The mare was overthinking everything, trying not to freak out over this big fat problem. This was a big big fat problem. The bandaged mare was having trouble breathing. "Ok-ay guys- we'll be okay- we'll be- okay-" Hopefully they were going to be okay. Everyone seemed to be panicking, and it made Daze's mind break down more. Then a sudden shift of weight changed Daze's perception on this whole situation. Their cabin jerked harshly, causing the four to fall with it. The Pegasus fixed her landing and looked out the window, seeing their cabin flying backwards down a really steep hill. "Guys- guys!" the mare yelled, flying around the cabin in a panic. The wheels of the cabin were rolling so fast down the tracks, any dents in the track sent the cabin flying into the air. Daze felt herself getting dizzy. As the cabin was falling back, Daze looked out the front door, seeing the front of the train disappearing drastically. With a sudden burst of energy, the gold pony flew out the train and held her own for a few seconds, looking at where they were about to crash. She then flew back in with a panic look in her yellow eyes. "We don't have much time. We gotta jump, like Fiver said." Daze quickly grabbed her suitcases, flying into the air and opening the side door. All she could see was the rushing snow wisp past her eyes. A thick blanket of white was on the ground. That's all the Pegasus could see. Finally, she took the guts to jump out the cabin, her wings opening so she could land safely on the snow. As she landed, snow covered her entire body, making her kick up at it to get free. She looked around, hoping every creature got out of the cabin safely..
  16. The mare scoffed at his answer, rolling her eyes. "You have no tootin' idea how hard it is workin' on a farm. Me and my Pop work all day long." He then said something in response to her walking wherever she goes all the time, and she wrinkled her nose, about to bite his head off. "We make money, that's all that matters." Her stubbornness was taking a toll on her answers, as that was her biggest weakness. No pony could really get into her head, besides her dad. Ali never really gave a second thought on things. Everything was a one and done thing. A sudden confidence was given to the short mare from the stallion, which made Ali nod her head a bit. The brown pony then trotted over to her drenched haul of apples and picked out two with her mouth. She then walked back to the unicorn, handing him them gently. "Try 'em without the magic. They're better off without it," she motioned, her tone of voice slowly turning calm. She was serious about this fruit business, she wouldn't lie about something like magic on the fruit. Well, she never actually tried magic on the fruit, but her dad said it wasn't has good. And the stallion seemed to take her magic talk seriously, as he quite amusingly put his hoof to his chest and gave her a promise. Ali just nodded her head, still not giving the stallion a smile, but instead a small head nod. "Congratulations, partner, I trust your promise. One strike though and you're done, 'ya hear?" the mare said, giving him a serious eye. She wasn't joking around with that one. Not one bit. Ali noticed him get all excited, which made her roll her eyes and huff at this dork of a stallion. "Best hurry up then. It's gettin' colder by the second and I ain't feelin' it." The mare organized her belongings real quickly, making her she has everything she needs, has the trip will take a couple days. "Grey Shield, huh?" her country accent made his name sound a little funny. "Alrighty then." Very soon actually, Grey was back, and Ali stood next to him. "Quicker than I thought," she said briefly, and she started walking. "If you forget anything, I ain't walkin' back." Her wagon started shaking lightly as the duo started walking, the wind in the air beginning to get a little stronger. They only had to be together for two days, and then Ali could be by herself again. No big deal.
  17. "A nice warm bath actually sounds really nice right about now. This sewer is chillin' to the bone." She thought of the idea, relaxing in a nice bathtub with jets massaging her back. She would probably also be splashing Thrilly at the same time, being playful and trying to create a big water fuss. Of course it could be for fun, as Daze really wanted a small break. All this thief chasing was making the Pegasus tired and stressed, especially with these new environments her and the cat has to go through. Daze laughed at what Thrilly said with her brother. Daze liked when Thrilly opened up about her family. It was really interesting, knowing more about her friend who was not only a completely different species, but from a different part of the world too. As so, as the mare pet the cat's head, she heard a small vibration coming from the kitty's throat. A purr? That's actually quite adorable. Who knew a anthropomorphic cat like her could purr. Daze held herself back from aww-ing at the sweet sound, her friend becoming a million times more cute than Daze ever thought possible. The water was gushing through the already wet sewer, making the duo fly above the big wave. There was barely enough room to fly just enough to not touch the gross water. "Celestia, this is actually really disgusting thinking about where this water came from," Daze muttered, trying not to barf. She slowed down a big deal too after what Thrilly said, noticing the ceiling had gotten lower. "Nice catch, Thrill." The mare continued moving straight, seeing brightness from above the water down the alley. Speaking of the thief, Daze began to wonder if he got caught in the sudden avalanche of water. "Hey, you don't think this guy got trapped in the water, do you?" she asked, getting closer to the bright circle of light. Once she got closer, she noticed the sewer's opening was already off. "The thief must have gotten out of here before the water struck." Daze pulled Thrilly out of the sewer and set her down on the street.
  18. Princess Amore is not currently played by anyone on the site. You are welcome to apply for and play her. As a bit of warning however, we are stricter on cast applications (which she would fall under) than on original characters.
  19. Once the luggage issue was well and sorted out, Fiver let out a sigh of relief. It was still a shaky sigh, however given this very unusual situation. Fiver smiled at atLoose as she got back up, "Somehow I think we've all got a bit of bad luck tonight. Let's hope it doesn't last." She stretched her wings a moment, "... and Sorry about the luggage I think the shaking knocked mine loose. I don't think it's all mine." Now that she had her bag, Fiver may as well tote it with her on the way to the front of car. FIver's jaw dropped as she say the outside. "Um... Yeah... it uh did." The flyer took a deep breath and took note of the speed of the train. They were definitely slowing down. Cold winds were howling around the cabin. Visibility was low, so it was nearly impossible for her to tell just how far away their train had gotten from them. "Uhh... Well... if we've been detached from the train then... hangon. We're... goin backwards..." Wheels started clicking in her head and the Color drained from her face a moment. They must be on a incline, "Does anyone know if we were going up a hill... and how far we got? If we go backwards and keep gaining speed we might need to jump off this car."

    Griffon Lore.

This came about based off what I've seen from the show and is meant to counter the idea that Griffons are represented in fanon sometimes as part of a warrior empire. Griffons are highly independent creatures that have no significant form of a society of their own. Their once prosperous kingdom fell during the reign of King Guto when the Idol of Boreas was forever lost. Griffonstone is the last remnants of what could be considered Griffon society, but it is merely just a hotspot for Griffons, many having homes and remnants there from their families. Most modern Griffons are intermingled among other species. Griffons may mate and start families, but it is usually expected that the pair is the largest and that the offspring assert their independence as soon as possible. Their stereotypical demeanour is one of greed and self-righteousness, yet that is not a trait that necessarily all Griffons possess. There have been efforts to restore Griffonstone to it's former glory, but efforts are futile while the Griffon independent ideology lingers.
  22. If you want me to, i could make a special character for that. I'm willing to do that but only if you want me to. Also, what kind of Dere is your character? Because i could make mine the opposite of that dere. (Opposites attract, y'know)
  23. I recently got Braeburn approved and I'm thinking of getting him romantically involved with someone else's character. Could be cast or not, just needs to be a stallion. Be willing to write longish posts and build a friendship that turns eventually to hearts and hooves *blush* If interested please PM me and/or leave a message here.

  25. This game has been going on for 7 years. Fun has ended.
  26. Luna shook her head "it's not that General Trax, it's not whether or not they can be trusted, it is indeed their crimes. Using the dead is one of the highest war crimes that could be committed, let alone the very use of black magic. How do you think we will look to our people for ignoring such horrible actions taken against us and turning around and allying with the very ones who have committed said atrocities? I'm well aware of the advantages they bring us and knowledge they can provide, but everything we are doing is both politically and morally wrong in every sense, and I'm aware that we are left with too little choices to make...I...We have betrayed the very people who wish for justice." She explained in a mellow tone. "How can we look the people we protect in the eye and justify our actions?"
  27. Killjoy shrugged at Triton's question "whether or not those stories are true is no concern of mine, I'm here to do what my princesses' wish me to. We just gotta go in, grab what we need, and get the h3ll out. What I know for fact is that if we know about this artifact, so does the Batkin...well the evil ones. If this artifact is so important, then they aren't gonna risk sending grunts, I'd wager the top five are going to be on that island with us. Question is, will we he able to stand as equals? Some time has passed since our last confrontation so let us pray we closed at least most of the power gap between us." She said putting her foot up on the side railing of the ship. "Either way, we wont have any of these questions answered until we get on to the island." Maelstrom witnessed half of his ships destroyed, but as usual, he stayed unfazed. He was actually quite surprised to see beings with such power "well this is interesting indeed, it seems that finally after a thousand years, we will have a challenge, at least hopefully."
