Here's the first chibi! I really love this guy's colors. I didn't add a cutie mark because I figured it would be covered up by the wing, but looking at it now I think I'd be able to squeeze one in. Let me know if you want me to add one! Fēng belongs to PrinceBlueblood . Painted in FireAlpaca.

I'd been experimenting with a less detailed style to draw my various wolf yokai characters in. I think this design looks like she might be something fromt he show which was what i was going for! I might try and do some other yokai characters like this! Anyway, This is a mysterious yokai who has been seen hopping the rooftops of the metropolitan hotspot of Polohama in Neighpon. The few who see this creature make now that she is almost always surrounded by a haze of neon colored hitodama that usually appear as blue. There have been no instances of aggression from this creature but if you'd ever prowling the streets of Polohama at night keep your eyes pealed!

In the magitech hotbed that is the city of Polohame. There have been occasional sightings of a mysterious yokai popping up across the city. Strangely enough these reports tend to fade into obscurity as quickly as they come and rarely make it out of the city. Sightings describe an Okami with a long mane and tail that gives off wisps of light and plasma not unlike the neon signs scattered across the districts. While it may have a habit of occasionally scaring the ponies who may have come across it... None of them have ever been injured. If somepony comes across this creature it would be wise not to try and take any pictures. Or else they may find them stalked by Polohama's Neon Demon. (Seriously, though. I think I FINALLY settled on a look for Toboe that I can stick with. Working on a new Pony form too."

AJ dared Rainbow Dash to try and pull off the cowpony look. Applejack assured her that she definitely won the dare. Dashie tries to maintain composure as she boast about her inevitable victory. I kinda went crazy with this one which is why it took a bit longer. I added a background because I wanted to try my hand at those swirly mlp clouds. Also pretty sure I'm an Appledash fan now. "Long, Long ago in Long Guo there was a beautiful queen and a Handsome Emperor. These rulers would protect and watch over the prosperity of the land for years to come. One day, The dynasty held a great feast for the greatest of their servants. Word of this great banquet reached all across the east and to the ears of devious fox from over the seas. This nasty beast concocted a scheme. On the way to dinner, the empress was spirited away and her likeness worn by the eight tailed beast. Throughout the banquet, the clever emperor noticed a strange dip in his wife's manners. His suspicions rose until he made a request for a particularly spicy dish to be served. The shock of the hot meal and powerful spices jolted the monster fox out of her guise. Thanks to the great spiritual advisor of the harmonious path, she was bound and captured and sealed away in a deep dark forest... Never to be seen again." --Excerpt from stories of the Early Feng Dynasty: The Foiled Fox. Let's Hope this strange creature is never set loose upon the Royal family again!

While not old enough to be a legend, This yokai has been become something of a rumor around some of the more rural villages of Neighpon. A Goofy, playful and occasionally flirtatious spirit of music who carries a shamisen at his side at all time. He comes on Rain or Shine to play cheerful tunes, usually disguised as a kirin with similar colors. Some say he's been appearing even in Long guo and Whitescar... you never know where he'll pop up!

For a little over forty years, the city of Polohama has seen a great deal of prosperity. The Hiretsuna clan's current boss having proven a strangley stabilizing force for the community of the city and some of suburbs around it. Toboe is known as the adoptive daughter of the previous clan leader and several years ago took charge of the clan with his blessing. Since taking the reins of the organization, she has run many initiatives to improve the quality of life for many of Polohama's citizens. Those in her family operate openly and maintain friendly relations with the public. Rumor has it she has put the mysterious yokai that roams Polohama under her employ... although such speculation is obviously silly.

Nightmare Night was never a huge part of Discord's life experience. Even the past few he never had a reason to participate. Given he was a regular resident of Ponyville, despite his home being located far and close in-between in Chaosville. He had dawned a fabulous cape with some paling powder painting his grey hide. With the addition of a false fang and a snazzy vest over a blouse the spirit became the spirit of lore as he dressed himself in the garments of an immortal, ancient undead count! Count Discord was ready for the night and with a slick of grease through his make he was ready to spook with the best of them. While it was no Fool's Day he could get behind an evening of tricks and treats! Of course it was difficult to convince his usual companions. Big Mac, unfortunately, was already signed up for a familial venture with the tiniest Apple and his parental entourage. Snapping the last of his vest's buttons and curling his beard the spirit would collect large sacks with spooky print and be out of his door in a flash! Let's see who else? Well aside from the Apples the resident CMC, of which he was an honorary member of, were out and about enjoying the evening most like together or with their authoritative figures. Luna, ironically so, was busy as well and Glimmer buried under paperwork. She would make a lovely cubicle zombie! It cut the list shorter and shorter. Than there was Spike. The spirit had, a week prior, been playing Ogres and Oubliettes with the guys, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash missing the session due to prior commitments. Perhaps they were lucky, or unlucky in that regard. But without the mares it seemed to have left Spike with the sole responsibility of handling a most auspicious idol and the noodle himself was not the sort to debase himself to such manual efforts, plus he had appraised the item to be worthless, so found no point in collecting it, dibs aside. This totem in question had some sort of enchantment attached to it that Spike's Detect Magic couldn't confirm, due to its level gap. The trap was triggered as soon as the wizardly dragon grabbed hold. Discord had looked through the module's manual, but was having difficulty understanding the details of the conditions as it was far from anything he's seen! During such games one would surmise some simple curse! But alas he had been unable to decipher it. Once more Spike had left before the game could end causing a glitch in the system of sorts. "I have returned!" He declared, appearing above a very discontent looking Spike and fabulous looking Valen. "Oh..." he wasn't expecting the prancing pony to present such a provocatively Prench outfit in public! "Well, well if it isn't the little Orange." The noodly count mused as he lowered down onto his hind legs. With talon and hoof touching to the ground he would hold out the dutifully needleworked potato sacks. They had fierce some designs on the fronts. Valen's an angry orange with fangs and Spike a ferocious rendition of himself as an adult dragon with a smoky sneer. "Here, you can't expect to fill such paltry sized sacks!" He handed Yama his which had a peculiarly profoundly pouting wolf with a devious grin on his maw. The spirit's own sack had a devious red balloon design with a toothy grin. He seemed to have been working on them last minute. The spirit of chaos did some fine work with the needle. You should see his crocheted sweaters! With personalized sacks there would never be a question of whose was whose! But why the massive bags? Surely they were just to go down the block and enjoy some of the games. No, no. Discord had done some reading up on this tradition. It seemed that collected candy was to be paid in full to the spirit of the terrifying Nightmare Moon, but given the absolving of her hideous fables the collected candy seemed to hold no purpose of sacrifice save to the small bellies of overfeasting foals, colts, and fillies! No Discord had declared to Spike that had he come out to trick and treat with him there was to be great reward. "Is that everycreature?" Oh it probably wasn't, but he would not be delayed as time was everything for an eternal serpent of madness. Pulling his picket watch from his vest one would come to realize the curious, bat-like shape of it. He tossed it to the side, leaving the clockwork creature to fly away into the night. "So as you may know I have gathered you all here for a very important mission." he pressed his paw and claw together as he nodded a solemn head bob. "You see I was doing a little research on this Pony holiday and it seems before Nightmare Moon the collection of candy had served a different purpose." Now knowing Discord he could be making it up, but when it came to candy and treats the spirit did not play games... mostly. Discord stared off to the houses. Parties being held, lights filling the streets and candies being passed out to good fillies, colts, nymphs, and other itty bitty creatures. "Have any of you ever heard of the Ghoul?" he swiveled an ear to the crowd. "Well it seems when you collect enough candy, at least your weight of it, a strange house shaped like a gourd appears on the edge of the Everfree Forest. In that house lives a Ghoul and for the most dutiful goblins and fiends who had collected their treats are to be rewarded with a candy equal, of not greater, than their size." Now Discord was not one to befall to legends and rumors of ponies, but this mystery had other parts. "It was even said that Celestia herself has seen this Ghoul and gotten a chocolate sized Celestia in return!" He clenched ups paw into a fist. "I'll not have it!" W-what? "She won't be the only one to meet this Ghoul!" So it wasn't just about the candy. The competitive chaos spirit would perhaps never change in that regard... "But there was just one catch... for any house to fail to offer the tastiest of treats we must return a trick." He manifested a tiny notepad and a pair of spectacles on the end of his nose. "I made a note of the conditions in the book to summon the Ghoul."

An updated version of the previous drawing of my character Taira. Clothomancy wasn't the spirit's specialty, after all this outfit was hooftailored! He scratched his chin and observed the Kirin, whose voice was muffled by a pair of construction earmuffs. He scratched his beard with his paw, the elbow of that forelimb resting on his crossed claw. Yes, yes an outfit deserving a royal Canterlot princess. Or maybe Yama could be the prince. He a snap of his claws he would weave together a stunning outfit form fitting to the Kirin. The chaotic spirit delighted in the idea that the Manic Marmalade Marshmallow Cake was piquing curiosity. Swiveling his ears forward Berry Punch's pragmatic presentation of prancing about. His muzzle blushed as he tugged on a tie around his neck, loosing it. "No respect." He muttered clearing his throat at the tease before he looked over to Cain and gasped, eyes going wide as saucers. "I didn't think I would ever see it again!" He accepted the offering as if he were some god upon his votive! He looked over to Big Mac as the elegant Macicorn arrived. My, my, it was become quite a shift. He was reminded that you needn't sixty-three for the rule to pass vote. A pawful of ponies was enough. Oh and an unlucky dragon. he wiggled his forked tongue at the cake pop and shook his head. Though he was not to sure if Rose's spider was male or female, but it would do as well! "Now, don't you waste time!" He couldn't imagine what the mare would have to treat them. She made such tasty drinks! "We shouldn't keep a mare waiting." Discord felt like he was leading a thousand monster parade down the streets, or thousand princesses, and made way to Berry's! Of course he wouldn't rush those gathering treats still at Cain's, but they were hardly out of sight as he moved to adjust his bag, shuffling it out, the cake pop levitating beside him, some of the marshmallow cover slurped off. He cleared his throat. "Trick or treat! Though, preferably, treat." he wiggled his bushy brows and prepared to be handsomely rewarded for his efforts!

Trick or Treaters! Berry Punch had been looking forward to greeting them this Nightmare Night, and not just because her little Ruby was somewhere among their number. No, the burgundy mare was taking this opportunity to introduce and promote a new, experimental product, inspired by one of her daughter's lunchtime favorites. Normally not in the candy trade, Berry still fancied herself a dispenser of treats, though not usually of the sort that foals could partake of. Wines and fermented fruit beverages were her main stock in trade; though not apples, as competing with the resident masters of that fruit would be crazy in this town! She still made and sold normal juices for little colts and fillies on their way to school in the morning, packaged in boxes instead of bottles, which was where her idea came from... But that would have to wait until this first party was finished with Mister Candy Cane. A newcomer stallion to this town, it looked like. Rather cute too, if the earth pony mare's opinion counted for much. Opening the top half of her shop door, she leaned out to catch a glimpse of the party outside, orange candlelight from within outlining her costumed form in shadowed silhouette. She had chosen an outfit that, coincidentally, was remarkably similar to Spike's! Just a little darker in tone, less frills, and stockings designed to attract attention to equine legs and thighs. And unlike the poor young dragon, Berry did have the body to pull it off. "Ahahah, So wonderful to see all you lovely children here. Don't worry, momma will have treats for you when you're ready, even if you're.... only young at heart." She shot a wink at Discord and Cane in turn, leaning out of the open half-door.

Discord held his sack of candy, ears folded back with a smug grin as Wind Walker declared his Counthood with obstinacy. Oh he liked this one, she knew exactly where it was aaahh-- his ears pinned back at her shouting. He did to try and remain on his hind legs throughout his treating as a floating vampire was probably too spooky for ponies. That and it was easier for the group to keep up with him when he wasn't dipping in and between dimensions as he fluttered about. More joined their merry trio -- a certain entourage of strange creatures. While White Rose certainly stood out for the spirit, it didn't much matter what creature joined the party, so long as they were able to collect enough candy. He looked to Spike, ears picking up as he waved his claw dismissively, paw tight on the sack. "Your body weight," Not that there was any real measurement beyond that in the story. "Something about equivalent exchange. If you expect a candy mold in your shape I would think that you need enough candy to trade for it, yes? If you don't bring treats than you get tricked and I am sure I don't want to be tricked by some old Ghoul in the woods." After all he was the trickster, thank you very much. Valen's question caused the spirit to smirk, pleading him to vanish for a moment leaving naught behind but a Discord-shaped scarecrow. The devious chaos spirit appeared behind the Prench maid, his muzzle painted up in a sharp grin, ears pulled back as he floated over the Orange's shoulder in a miniature shape in an angel's costume, complete with halo and pitchfork. Wait -- He moved to prod the idol's cheek and chuckled. "Oh please, Spike brought this upon himself for not sticking to our schedule." Despite Discord's chaotic nature the spirit was much inclined to run on a schedule. he did not keep pocket watches for show as he zipped and zapped to and from time. It made handling one's time imperative when your friends' days were but seconds in compare. Every moment, every second, ever half tick of a tock. "But you are a clever one. Maybe I forgot to tell him about the consequences for leaving my game board before time was up." He chuckled. "Perhaps Spike just needed a little push. It isn't easy being the only boy in your group of friends." he wiggled the pitch fork and turned it into a flower before tucking it behind Valen's ear, As quickly as he had manifested from the group's front the spirit peeked around the scarecrow. "What are you all doing? Come now, don't dawdle!" He snapped his claws, the scarecrow shrieking before bouncing away into the town. O-oh dear that won't bode well... Cain seemed to be prepared for the night as a whole. So many delightful treats and tasty confections. Discord would nearly drool as his eyes danced around the collection of goodies. At the offer for custom made candy Discord had the immediate thought, one of which he was remiss to say the Cake's never sold in their store despite it being a most popular treat in Chaosville. The spirit, all aglow with the holiday spirit floated off the ground, his tail curling beneath him. "Well if that's the case than how about a Manic Marshmallow Marmalade Cake pop?" he wiggled his paw, spooky colored glitter puffing from his paw. "You know a cake pop coated in marshmallow with orange marmalade filling sprinkled with chocolate stars!" Oh he had to be able to make such a treat! Honestly he was unsure how it never caught on in Ponyville. He was particularly fond of marmalade, especially on scones!

Welcome to the Official 2018 Running of the Leaves signups, standings and OOC discussion thread. The start date is September 28th; the end date is October 21st. - The Running of the Leaves is a race that spans through the Whitetail woods. We will have a special thread for every three days of the race- each of these three days represent a different stage of the race through Whitetail woods. - Everypony on the forum can race with one WoE RP approved character. - Each post during a stage is worth one point. - We will also evaluate the quality of each post per section of the race, awarding a player between 0-3 points for the stage as an RP bonus. - Additionally, I will be rolling a D6 and adding that many points to your score. This reflects the randomness of such competitions. This system leaves a lot of the race up to random chance (which is much like a real race- you never know the strength of all your competitors!); but everypony will be able to directly affect their chances by how well, and how often, they choose to RP the race. - There are bonuses in five of the seven stages. Sometimes they will be explained thoroughly, while other times you will need to pay attention to the words of the OP and events in the thread itself. Some bonuses are optional while certain threads are littered with bonuses as well as deductions. Bonuses and deductions will be based on what the characters choose to do. Choices can be made, timing can be important. Sometimes it is best to be bold but remember that being bold can have a downside while being safe and secure is no guarantee of victory! Deductions are also possible. - Because of the way this is set up, even if you miss a 'section' of the race, you won't necessarily be out of your chance for 1st place- hang in there and give it your best! If you join late to the race, no problem at all! Just start RPing from the section that everypony is currently on- you never know, luck may just be on your side! - You can sign up and start racing at any time, no matter when as long as the event runs. Summary and Rules - 7 Stages to race in. - One point per post, 1-6 possible die roll, 0-3 for RP quality. -2-3 for deductions and bonuses based on the stage and events. - No double posting. There is also a hidden limit to the amount of points that can be gained by posting to prevent spam. Spam posts will result in deductions. We want you to post, but we want you and your friends to have good, fun posts, not spam. - No flying and no magic! By the time all the invitations were sent out, the event was no longer very much of a surprise. It was no secret that Chieftain Sigrun of Clan Askr and Vakstyra Halvard of Clan Breen had hit it off very well ever since their first meeting in the Saarvergerg Arena, and fast became more than friends. The fact that their homeland was split by a civil war, however, intruded inevitable delays on anything official. Not to mention the somewhat complicated politics involving Clan Breen’s public neutrality in the matter of the war, while Sigrun and Clan Askr were very much on the side of the Loyalists. Many tedious months of politics later, however, and Halvard had finally managed to shift his Clan’s position, and considerable resources, behind the King’s cause. As these were not inconsiderable in amount, the ceremony itself would be made a fairly extravagant affair, the marriage of the two now seen as a symbol and lynchpin of their clan’s alliance. Which meant, of course, that their wedding was now further delayed by the amount of planning that had to go into it… *Good thing I’ve never been one to shy away from logistics.* Halvard mused, smiling as he completed the last double-check of the mead supply. Sigrun wasn’t one for fancy and frou-frou, thank the gods, but an abundance of guests required an abundance of food, drink, and space. Running his eyes over the hall, and comparing the numbers on their guest list, he pursed his lips. *Well…. Two out of three isn’t bad. Hope the foreign guests don’t mind the crush.* At least the native guests wouldn’t. After all, it isn’t a party until everybou’s up in each other’s faces! Whether from joy or fighting really depended on the mood and the mead. Hopefully, this all wouldn’t be too much… ~~~ While Caribou weddings weren’t exactly the same ceremony as one generally saw in the southern lands, there was a general commonality between them, in that the groom and bride didn’t come alone. Each would bring either a close relation, or a close friend, representing all the relationships surrounding the pair that would intertwine. Halvard had thought long and hard about who he would bring, but ultimately settled on what he felt was the best, and only choice. “Are you ready, Calder?” The bull called out to the one whom he had come to think of as a son. This was not a trivial question, as the younger bull had many quite legitimate reasons for being nervous about publicly appearing back in Whitescar. Halvard had strongly encouraged him to come out with him, though; partly for his own good, to face and conquer the demons of his memory, at least in some ways. The other reason, however, was one he wouldn’t say to his adopted son, as it had to do, again, with the politics of the situation. Calder wasn’t exactly a stereotypical bull, in many ways, but Halvard felt that what he himself was fighting this civil war for was to make a place for caribou like his son. This was a public show of solidarity for the family, and the gods have mercy on any who’d have a problem with it!

Come spring ponies of Ponyville and Canterlot would find themselves waking up to not the bright morning sky of blue hey were used to, but to the glittering aurora of green and pink, the sun stuck somewhere between dawn and dusk. It was pretty obvious what had occurred but a large banner and beneath it was what appeared to be a portal between the respective areas. Across the banner it red the Parade of fools. Between the portals multicolored balloons with faces on them floated about, their strong tails carrying a large mirror. Static displayed on the mirror, Discord appearing tapping the microphone. “Is this thing on?” The back of his head facing the crowds. A blue balloon with headphones squeaked and pointed its string tail the other way. Discord blinked and spun around. “O-oh my how embarrassing. Well live performances, am I right? That’s right ponies!” The mirror zoomed out to reveal the veritable king of fools seated on his old throne, a cap and jester’s hat atop of his head. “Greetings one and all! With the gracious leniency of your princesses,” He spat out his tongue and gagged. “I have been granted a day to let you ponies loose from all responsibility: a vacation of sorts. Of course you’ll have the security from your princesses that any changes and alterations will turn it back to normal at the day’s end…” The balloon squeaked. Discord waved his paw dismissively. “Oh fine, fine.” He unfurled the conspicuous looking contract. “In accordance to the games’ rules np ponies shall be harmed, size, color, age shifted in a way that would interfere with the games’ progress and there will be no effects lasting beyond the day.” He paused in his speaking and grinned. “But what’s a day if the sun doesn't set? Of course the agreement was this for halting the day… I have hidden a pocket of my magic somewhere as a reward for one of the games. If a pony can find it using the convenient clues the game will end! Until than fools, jokers and party makers enjoy because today is just for you. Anypony else is a player in the game!” He cackled and held out his paw, tossing the microphone back for the balloon manager to catch. It had an annoyed expression as the microphone bounces off it and held up a picture of Everfree Forest before the mirror zoomed in on Discord once more. With a snap of his claws the fields would be set! The first game is a Scavenger Hunt in Ponyville The second is a capital wide mass checkers game! The games continue until May 18th! -------- There is no posting order. The pace of the game is set by Discord or the game board itself! Things may move ahead or back unexpectedly!

The young dragon ran her claws through a few pages of the handbook’s ‘character creation’ rules. She decided against using any of the characters that had been left in the book. She would make her own. And since the whole idea of playing Ogres & Oubliettes was to play a character different than the player. She was mighty dragon! She could fly and breathe fire and had sturdy scales. She needed to go opposite! Her eyes briefly fell upon Sandbar as he entered the room....Ideas formed in her head, and note-pad. She would play a little pony! A elf-unicorn*! Powerful in magic, but weak as the local diner's coffee. She would need a strong character to hide behind. And a familiar....Every good wizard needs one....She pictured an dumb bright blue kitty who she would call....Gall? Luss? Lucy...Yes, she will be named Lucy. Lucy the dumb blue cat. She was dropped on her head at an early age, and while she was dumb as a rock, she was really good at following her master's commands. And if necessary, she could be thrown at the group's foes for 1d4 damage. And her wizard would be an evoker. As she was going to 'voke' some monsters up real voking good. As she doodled in her pad, a rather unique looking fellow entered the room. He almost looked like a half-dragon, half-pony! Was that possible? She tried not to think of such things..Maybe he was an 'Kirin'? Professor Fluttershy mentioned something about a race of unique people she and Professor Applejack discovered in an placed called 'Kirin Grove'. Peaceful creatures who turned into fiery rage-monsters known as 'Nirik' when angered. Imagine playing an Kirin pyro-mancer? That would be fun, but Kirin have to be mad to go from lame to awesome and there were intelligence penalties for doing so and also fire spells kind of stunk in O&O as every other monster was immune to fire based spells. Buh. Sometimes when Ocellus was in one of her moods, she liked to shift into something..unique. She would have learned about the Kirin with the others during Fluttershy's class. Apparently Silverstream was asleep during that class. And speaking of the her....Instead of a can of ‘Hoot’n’Holler’n Jump'n Joy'Juice’, it would be better that she had an bottle of water instead. The bouncy Hippogriff did not need caffeine and whatever Brominated vegetable oil was to get her 'Hoot'n and Holler'n. She was already that way. A nice bottle of 'Peaceful Grove' artesian, locally sourced gluten free water would be far more suitable. Smolder could not help but grin as Yona got into her role as the 'Game Master'. Yaks were usually stern faced creatures, but when they were happy, few species could match their giddiness. Oh sweet mother of Torch! If her family knew she was thinking of giddiness, they would disown her...Again! It was bad enough she couldn't stop looking at the Kirin as he was kind of cute. And then mostly hot when mad. Which was not bad. Unless he was Ocellus. Hmmm. An Barbarian Yak with exotic weapon proficiencies in an double-bladed axe. Now that would be deadly...Unless they were all stuffed into a small dungeon. Then that would suck. "Seriously bird-brain.", she glanced over at her beaky, cheeky friend. "Go with a double-bladed sword or axe. He could hold the hilt in his mouth and just charge into stuff while bezerking. Slashing at foes at both sides." He would even be deadlier with a support mage. Haste and strength spells would make 'Smasher' into an unstoppable juggernaut! But nobody wants to play a support character. They're boring and they don't get any glory. And then 'blue bird of sappiness' dared to mock her! "Apparently not easy enough for you to grasp.", she teased the cat-bird as she turned the invitation over. There was a crude drawing of an very happy Yak that was obviouslly supposed to be their host. Little pink hearts emerged from the yak's head as she bounced about in yakky-happyiness. Next to the sketch was the words BRING BEST FOOD! Would these imitation cheese-like puffs cause such an display from their O&O Overlord? Only time will tell. "I'm playing an elf-unicorn evoker named...", She had not though of a name! Crap! Ponies usually had silly names. Princess Shiny-Butt. Bubbles. Seawinkle. Tootsie. Ugh. Her eyes quickly scanned the room. Her character was a mage...That Kirin has a cute hinder..And bouncy girl is from the sea...Mag-Butt-Sea? "Majesty...she has a familiar named Lucy and while she normally sticks with combat spells, I'll give her a support or buff spell or two, so you dumb warrior types don't die right away." She looked rather pleased with herself as she showed off her character. Complete with an decently drawn orange mare clad in a wizard's robe and cap. She was accompanied by a somewhat familiar, derp eyed blue cat with stink lines coming from her mouth and a couple of swirly lines over her head. Smolder also made sure their 'Game-Master' got a good look at the sheet for approval.

Gallus was shameless. He didn't know much about roleplaying games but he knew he wanted to be good at them if he was going to so much as roll a single die today, so he had done some reading of the rules. Yaks were strong (not too smart) and Berserkers were good at dealing damage and all that seemed simple. More importantly, he knew who the GM was and wanted to get on her good side. Gallus knew Yona and knew what Yona liked, and that was Yaks- so it was easy enough to decide what he wanted to do. Some creatures might call it a shameless move and they were right, but Gallus wasn't above cheesing his way to victory. Besides, this was a cooperative thing. His cheesing was really more like the group's cheesing. They should thank him. "Good choice, right? I think that if anycreature could rock an adventure, it would be a Yak. So his name is Smasher, and he is a Yak Berserker who swings a big axe. Pretty cool right?" Gallus asked, showing off his poorly drawn picture. It worked because it worked. Gallus kept a smooth face on as Smolder came in. She was a cool customer when it came to what was considered more or less acceptable for self-respecting kittens, dragons, and otherwise to do and she didn't look like a dragon who had spent time reading the feat list for level one Berserkers. Not that he did...intentionally. She also brought all the snacks they would need. Neat. He had gained a few pounds since he had moved to the school and it felt like if there was one thing ponies had excelled at without debate it was in sugary snacks and leisure foods. He would partake, gladly. "Hey there Smolder. Good thinking on the snacks. I didn't know whether or not I was supposed to bring something...anyway, yeah, its pretty easy. Easy enough even for you to grasp," he said, sticking his tongue out churlishly. He liked kidding with his friends and with Smolder it was fun to be a bit rough. She didn't hold back, so why would he? Sandbar took his attention next. Good colt, good friend. Kind of the perfect representation of an Equestrian, wasn't he? He was always so understated and calm that it could be hard to remember that he knew more about what was going on than the rest of them. He also seemed to know a bit more about the game too than the rest of them. He wanted to recreate a character? Heh. He was having a hard enough time making a character, let alone recreating one. Good for Sandbar, and of course he'd be a Paladin, the goody-four shoes he was. "Nah, I'm a Berserker. You should be fine as a Paladin. You've played before?" He asked rhetorically. This would put him in the position of party leader. Was he ready for it? Likely. Sandbar could surprise a lot of creatures, especially himself. "Paladins do some cool stuff, right? What do you think Smolder would like to play?" He asked for the dragon's benefit. She'd never ask and sometimes you had to rip the bandaid off, but if anycreature could answer and help, it'd be Sandbar. And he could probably tell Gallus who the stranger was. Gallus was far past his grumpy, non-talkative stage but that didn't mean he would leap to meet anycreature new...especially ones that looked a little old to be playing in a game being played by students and ran by one. What was it they said- young in heart something something? Gallus looked at the stranger as it bounced and talked and generally just seemed rather excited to play. Whatever. The more the merrier? Seemed harmless enough. He also seemed to know a little bit about playing the game. Cool. Well, at least a growing number of them understood the concepts. "Hey," Gallus said laconically. Not distant, not rude, but definitely not very engaging. He didn't know this stranger yet. Keeping your cards close to the chest was a time-honored tactic. His claws stayed close to his chest as Silverstream came in, a single claw lazily playing with some of his chest feathers as she decided to spend all her time talking to and about the stranger. What was so interesting about the stranger? He wasn't so interesting. Not that she was wrong in saying there seemed to be like sixty versions of ponies. He was always told there were three, maybe four, but it seemed like the list grew and grew. She gave him an excited eye and after he remembered to breath and stop playing with his chest floof he smiled and then looked nervously away, back at his character sheet. When she asked whether she could play as the stranger though..."No! I mean, umm, pretty-pretty sure there are only certain options, hehehe, sorry. In the book, since- I leafed through it, you know, I was too busy- flying not...reading the books, you know, working on my wings. Because. I fly, you know."

Spike squinted at Valen's suggestion. That was...a terrible name. Plus it was way to close to Gilda and if she ever got wind this A: he'd never live it down for sure and B: she'd probably be angry that something so girly was almost sort of associated with her name. The dragon opened his mouth to say as much but just sighed and shook his head "I'm sure I'll think of...something." he hoped. Something better than that at least. Since the outfit reminded him of something out of Neighponese manga...maybe he could come up with something based on that?...It'd help if he had read more though, ugh. He'd have to come up with some sort of name for it eventually though. And while Spike was pondering this, it left him unaware of the whispered conversation between Valen and Discord. Baaah, the name could wait. Back to the candy matters at hand Collecting your body weight in candy wasn't an easy task in the slightest, especially since some houses would probably run out of candy long before the night was over. The ever growing group would be hard pressed to collect half their individual body weights! And if more ponies ended up joining, maybe not even a quarter. Still though, Spike was willing to try. And...The dragon eyed the floating candy apple before taking it in a paw...a little energy boost to get him through the long night wouldn't hurt, right? CHOMP! Oooh that was good! Oh yeah, he'd be coming back by here for sure. "Yeah! Once we get more candy, I'll at least come back for something. We've gotta save up a bunch for this legend Discord heard about." he replied to Cain's offer before taking another chomp of the apple. Speaking of tasty treats, it sounded like Berry Punch had some candy up for offer as well! It seemed like Wind Walker had the same idea as the dragon, no time like the present to get started! After all, these bags didn't fill themselves...did they? Spike peeked inside the bag...Yep. Still empty. Not one to be left behind on treats, Spike was quickly over and waved in greeting to the mare. "Happy Nightmare Night, Berry! Really nice costume you've got." they said, completely not realizing the similarities between their outfits at all. While Spike held out the lovingly crafted treat sack, a familiar 'Howdy!' hit Spike's ears. Glancing back over his shoulder, Spike waved to the stallion who...Wow he really went all out on his costume this year! Was he taking lessons from Masquerade? It was top notch! "Hey Big Mac! Glad you could make it out tonight!" It had been a few days since the dragon saw Mac...Not since the...last...session. The realization returned and smacked Spike in the face that Mac hadn't seen him since the OnO session that he got cursed! Did he know he got cursed? He was pretty busy in that game...Okay. Relax Spike, breathe. He was in something girly too! That made it better, it looked good on him, so maybe what Spike was wearing actually did look good on him to. Did Discord plan this? Not the whole curse thing, but the group meeting up? He glanced over at Discord somewhat suspiciously. Spike wouldn't put it past the draconequus to do something that would simultaneously embarrass and help him out at the same time...

Having some what sort out his problem with his mane in his face. Heart Shield galloped on along the path, Seeing a path on the left He darted down it. The path he had chosen seemed to be a bit of bad choice. The path was narrow, and completely covered in leaves which hide the puddles of sap, Broken branches lie on the path. Huffing along Heart Shield continued in his gallop along the narrow path, Leaping and bounding over obstacles. "I never should have went this way!" He said to himself trying to avoid puddles of sap that he couldn't see. Eventually it lead back to the main trail. Sighing in relief Heart Shield looked behind him. No one was there, Ahead of him he could see some ponies. He focused in on the ponies he could see. There was a pink colored pony, and a griffon up ahead in the far distance. It appeared there was some sort of stand ahead. He wouldn't let that distract him, They where still quite a distance away. This was no time to be taking in the sights as much as he would like to, there was still the problem of sap puddles everywhere.

The pack quickly entered the ‘Whitetail Woods' section of the race. Fire Walker could not help but feel a little on the paranoid side. Something silly was going to happen! This forest was probably the nearest area one would call the direct opposite of the 'Everfree Forest'. While the dark forest was home to all kinds of dangers and darkness, the 'Woods was as safe as they get. The Whitetail deer did a pretty good job at keeping the spooky and weird away from their tidy bit of woods. Well, maybe tidy was not a good word to use as there was a good deal of free sap to be seen. What in the world happened? Was there a tree-sap-collector strike going on? She would simply need to watch where she was going. Her running suit had moisture-managing Dri-FIT technology and was supposed to be resistant from water, mud, wind, and rips...But she did not believe it could handle nasty ol' tree sap. As long as she kept her eyes on the path in front of her, the sticky stuff should be easy to avoid. And this fueled her paranoia. Something else was going to happen. It wasn't going to be the sap that would try to stop her, it would be something else. Something weird. But what could it be? They had a crazy storm. Giant flying bear. Collapsing underground path that she wisely avoided. She could only imagine what was next. Pygmy ponies pouncing on pogo sticks? Dangerous dragons digging ditches? She would only have to keep running...And something was bound to pop up.. ...Thankfully Fire Walker avoids the (tree) sap during her trip..per the dice roll....
