DH Central - Mane 6 - Fighting is Magic Preview

Indie game developer Mane6 hosted a 1 hour preview of Fighting is Magic, an MLP:FiM fighting game.  Sadly at this time we don't have any text details of the game, I am currently checking to see if any of the staff was watching and could report (long story short, my internet has crapped out on me, can't youtube or stream...).

So the only thing I can report on is what I heard from my usual haunts.  General review was positive, and it seem the game flowed like a classic fighter should.  Heard a few things on little details, such as feathers coming out of the chicken coop when someone got ground slammed near it.

The livestream itself netted over 3,000k viewship.  I also heard some grumblings from some fans about the fact someone is developing a fighting game (since its somewhat anti-moral to the show).  But from what I've seen from the PreAlpha a month or two ago, its sticking to your classical fighting game, there is no blood or gore (Street Fighter over Mortal Kombat).  I could see if maybe Applejack was literally kicking the head off doppelganger AJ.

EquestriaGaming - Equestria Tales

Equestria Tales

An exciting new game project has popped up, a really neat looking 3D one. This game is currently being worked on by Byrpheros, and still in very early development. He's gone ahead and compiled a Document of Q&As that answer a lot of questions about the project.

The characters available for play will be all 6 of the mane cast, though you will be limited to which ones you can be until a certain point has been passed in the story. Minigames are also being planned, possibly some where you can play as other ponies for a short while. The world itself, according to the creator, will be a limited open world. The world will be almost completely open for exploration, except for areas directly relating to the story, areas you're not supposed to go to until later on.

The current 'expected' release date of the Full completed game is sometime around June or July 2012. Though don't worry too much, the creator is expecting to finish sooner than that, it's just hard to put a final date on a project so early on.

In the end, it's way too early to say too much about the project, but hopefully there will be a lot of updates along the way. It's a great looking project that we're already excited for.

EquestriaGaming - MLP Online Demo Update 8/21/11

MLP Online is a fan made My Little Pony Friendship is Magic MMO, currently being produced by Urimas, Salty Justice, and their team of programmers, spriters, and other members in a custom made C++ engine. The project has been in development for a while now, and when finished, will be 100% free to play.

The MMO is still in its early stages, but a lot of the features are already nearing completion The game currently has eight different movement directions, functional NPCs, flying, bucking (Kicking objects around) and several maps.


Currently, the sprites are a major developing point in the project, many different sprite sheets have been made for the mane cast and many other ponies who will be in the game. You can find a demo showing the current progress of the game HERE.

The battle system is currently being worked on, you can play a short demo of what it might look like HERE.
