You CAN go all over the place, but you will have to compromise, this site has worked very hard on it's lore and rules, and I don't think it's too much to ask that those be respected.

Which is why it's such a hard decision on my part. If I go there, I'm basically giving up EVERYTHING I've worked on for the past five to six years and starting anew... If I don't, there's nothing done, and nothing will be explored. No new friends or anything. *sigh* I really shouldn't be going on about this, it's pointless really. I respect the choices made here... which is part of the reason why I'm not sure if I should join or not. I fear that, anything I do...

Sounds like you have to decide what is more important, pride, or making new friends? Because your lore and hard work don't go POOF just because you play where you can't use them, there are tons of other sites, and other places you can express them.

To be fair, if it doesn't it's probably nothing to do with you. The FFA section is a ghost town here, and Canterlot itself feels deserted at times actually. I mean, our other RP attracted a lot of attention from newbies. So what's more likely? That complete strangers are purposely rejecting you or that there's just nobody there? Or if there is, they're probably just busy with Christmas or other roleplay. Still, if you feel too restricted then you might want to find a diffe...

Still, if you feel too restricted then you might want to find a different site to RP on. Canterlot is pretty bad, especially with all of its weird restrictions and rules (which I still maintain are annoying and pointless). Perhaps it's time for a change of scenery.

I myself am not a huge chat RPer and I prefer forum. That having been said, RP is 90% about the people I play with and 10% about how we communicate, so I'm down for it.

There is no obligation inherent in joining the chat. Skype RP is another tool in an RPer's toolset, not a demand nor obligation.

I was mainly talking about the 'official' RP areas that everything happens. And I have loads of characters, most of them unable to be within those reaches of CC or WoE. *sigh* aw well, I guess I can make my own story with others here. Hence why I stick to FFA. My characters simply don't fit in any of those. I inspire myself from too many things to make a character and not only from the show. Thing is, when I make a character it's often on the spot and the development comes after, but it's never just a pony XD

FFA is anything goes, like Fransh has constantly said. And i doubt anyone would put down your char's(so long as it isnt that bad). This community isnt like that

I am a Writer at heart. I do my own stories, my own characters, my own everything. Lore, locations, events, you name it. The only thing I'm worried about is my character/s in and of themselves. My writing is alright for my kind of level, even though I tend to write like a book at times when I really get inspired by something.

I get it, you're a world builder. I completely understand, I love coming up with my own stuff. It's my own little world that I've created. Hehe. If you're worried about them coming into their own with the restrictions of MLP then maybe just try new character ideas. Work with the world instead of against it. You know what I'm saying. Anyway, if you wanted to continue this probably best to move it to PM. My inbox is always open.

Heh, I haven't talked to a doctor in years. Never had to. My mom always does her best to cheer me up whenever I'm down. But my saying still stands, because having a fear of the unknown isn't good for anything.

I'm willing to take a look, though I'm not simply going to ignore the fact that the character is an alicorn. What I can do is have some parts of the analysis set aside the character's species entirely. I would like to probe the question of you chose this character to be an alicorn, however I think it's important to the overall character.

Heheh, I never said anything about ignoring the race. I just said an unbiased standpoint. I'm not going to change his race, mainly because I've worked hard and long on this character; ever since I started writing to be precise. Message me if you wish to actually take a look at him. Though do take note, you're only getting what information everyone else gets.

Up to you Avery. I'm having a lot of fun with our roleplay in FFA and it would be great to see more of you. Granted I'm full for roleplay spots at the moment, but still. I say go for it. My opinion of Canterlot isn't great, but it's still not half bad from time to time.

Though... the fact that I wouldn't be able to immerse myself into that world as much as I can, it kinda puts a dent into my plans. I don't know really. I just need to think. Well, any video editing software could do something like that. I would suggest recording the cutscene with special software that can capture what is rendered and play the scene with the volume for music muted. Then it's just a simple matter of putting an audio track over some video.

Pfft, I asked that in the sense of Final Fantasy having these epic fighting scenes happen. So... Adorable music doesn't exactly match up with it at alll... But I found a song that'll work... I hope. heheh
