    Griffon Lore.

This came about based off what I've seen from the show and is meant to counter the idea that Griffons are represented in fanon sometimes as part of a warrior empire. Griffons are highly independent creatures that have no significant form of a society of their own. Their once prosperous kingdom fell during the reign of King Guto when the Idol of Boreas was forever lost. Griffonstone is the last remnants of what could be considered Griffon society, but it is merely just a hotspot for Griffons, many having homes and remnants there from their families. Most modern Griffons are intermingled among other species. Griffons may mate and start families, but it is usually expected that the pair is the largest and that the offspring assert their independence as soon as possible. Their stereotypical demeanour is one of greed and self-righteousness, yet that is not a trait that necessarily all Griffons possess. There have been efforts to restore Griffonstone to it's former glory, but efforts are futile while the Griffon independent ideology lingers.

    Changeling Origins.

This was brought to me over the question: Why do the changelings feed off of emotions and stuff? The original deceptive predatory nature of the Changeling seemed pointless when the Changelings could have just integrated themselves with the pony society. It's such predatory nature that is the reason why they were feared by ponies in the first place. Changelings weren't always, well, Changelings. They were originally known as "Love Bugs," living in conjunction with the ponies. They looked kind of similar to modern Changelings, but without the transformation magic. The appearance of themselves was based upon the reigning monarch of the time. This metamorphosis is reflected in the show when the changeling's change to Thorax's new scheme. Chrysalis came to power prematurely when the previous queen died of an unknown ailment. Chrysalis was not ready to take over the throne, she was still going through a bit of a rebellious phase. Her appearance was considered by herself to be radical and cool, a feat achieved by her development of disguise magic. She did not see anything scary about it. When she took over, this appearance was forced upon the Love Bugs. The ponies feared these Love Bugs, they did not look cute and cuddly as before, in fact, as far as some ponies were concerned, they were a separate species altogether, they might have gotten rid of the Love Bugs. Chrysalis did not understand this, what was quite so wrong with their current appearance? Apparently, ponies did not share her opinions, but rather than change their appearance, she spread the Transformation magic upon the hive. It would now be standard practice to change their appearance around others, while deep down their appearance was still the same. They were now proper Changelings. And Chrysalis was pleased. Of course, Changelings weren't perfect, and some of their disguises slipped through. The changelings were discovered, and that made their lives harder. Chrysalis was too stubborn to change themselves. Of course, how could they go back to being Love Bugs anyway, how would anypony believe that? AS far as she was concerned that would never work and she hated it. Basically, Chrysalis. Of course, most of these Lore things pop up randomly in my thoughts and are refined over time. I might go back and edit this one if I find something I like better.
  3. Man, this episode just restrengthens my love for Cozy Glow even more. She's quite the master of the cheeks. The Talisman must have been placed in an expository sense for the audience otherwise I find it hard to believe that Grogar might not have noticed it there. I get that Chrysalis was the Changeling Queen and she's supposed to be real good at magic and stuff, but I'm not sure how I feel about the increasing notion that changelings can basically transform into whatever they want. There must be some limitations unless just pure magical power is enough.
  4. When Grogar deploys his legion of doom on a mission to become allies, his plan works too well and they almost become friends. 5. Aw sweet, fresh, meat minds. You will not hesitate your stay here. Unless you do. Please stay. Show me what you've got. @Kahoot we summon you. You are needed.
  6. This episode was the most blasphemous and is offensive to Yak culture. This episode must be censored immediately. For some reason prior to going into the episode, I expected more Sandbar than I should have considering that it was literally about Yona and I kind of knew that before going in. The Mane Six actually managed to do a good job at helping her as she requested exactly. No kiss. Not a wedding episode so it's totally not allowed. Kiss #4 will have to wait. Unless I missed one somehow.
  7. After Sandbar asks Yona to a "pony dance", she goes to Rarity and her friends in hopes to ponify herself. This thread is dedicated to discussing the episode before, during, and afterwards. 8. Man, I loved the dynamics in this episode. I didn't even need to know about Alice Oswalt to notice that it was a straight up child voice acting.
  9. In this episode, Quibble Pants asks Rainbow Dash for help to bond with the daughter of his new special somepony because, like Dash, she's a real sports pony. 10. Right after she spoke her words felt like she might have gone out for a moment there because she felt a skip in her hearing. As strong as one could be there are still ways to get a concussion. Luckily this one wasn't so bad. "Hey... is that the light?" She joked to herself, that was the expression right? She was aided by the forces of the two pegasi as they pulled the rubble off of her. "Yeah, yeah... yeah... yeah... everything's fine. Not dead at all. Thanks. Yeah... yeah." She probably didn't sound alright, but she definitely was. Honest! "Is this stuff all yours? I didn't put anything up there. Just my luck to be standing under there." She wasn't really in the condition to investigate but she said she would. She got up off the ground and stumbled her way over to the door for a moment. Yeah, it was cold, in comparison to the indoor temperature, no big deal, for the moment. She could definitely hear the sounds louder. Sounded a lot like the connection. But she couldn't really tell in her current state, the wind was messing up her accuracy. She almost reached down to touch when she heard Daze's observation. She jerked her hoof back. No, she wasn't messing with it anymore. She went back inside. "So my random arbitrary knowledge has made me the expert in this situation? Man, you must totally be relying on my excellent observation skills. My conclusion? We might be hanging on barely. But maybe we'll be ok-" Wait, that didn't feel right. Were they slowing down? That might be a good thing actually if they're stopping to fix the connection. Although how would they know. Unless... wait, what two cabins? "Wait, what did you say?" She asked the Griffon.
  11. Just realised I never put No Vella up on this site. I think I almost did, but I never finished her all the way.

  12. "Ah gotcha. My random knowledge came helpful for once," she replied to Khamsa, (or Fiver, she honestly preferred Khamsa in this situation). Her mother was the type to often learn about and remember arbitrary facts that got passed down. "Well, more than once, this isn't the first time, but whatever." She shrugged. "I want to say it's Griffon's integrated into pony society, but that's just judging from my own knowledge. There's still much more for me to learn about Crystal Empire lore," she said to Zelda. "I didn't hear much about the griffon settlement you talked about, but maybe I did and I just forgot about it." She could feel a chill go through herself. The air from the outside seemed to be seeping through inside now. She wanted to trust the authority of the train service. There's no way they would travel in these conditions. However, it felt like the conditions were very borderline. She went through her bag again. A bunch of winter gear including a blindfold for the potential weather. Her eyes were not completely dead, they still had feeling, a bit too much feeling if you would ask her and that would not pair well with her habit of keeping her eyes open. No problem with sunlight, but in cold weather, the wind and frost can suck. "Right, well, it seems you better get used to it because I don't think they're gonna end anytime soon," she replied to the flying pegasus. She thought for a moment. "I think there may be a pattern to the turbulence. Haven't quite figured it out yet..." "I think the clicking is coming from outside. I'll go check it out. I don't see what could be so scary about going outside for a moment, not like you're going to fall off, and as if that would be much of a problem for you." She pulled on her blindfold and got up from her seat moving into the aisle. A moment not too later, the train started shaking and she went down flat onto the floor. It was not the shaking, but the sudden barrage of items on top of her. "It... would seem... that the inside is more deadly... yeah."
  13. Lol, the best way to protect the crown is to stand near it. Who would have guessed? Nice work Shining Armour. The shards of the throne are supposedly anti-magic yet Starswirl just levitates them like it's nothing. Do they have some sort of toggle?
  14. Soz for the big delays. Can't say when I'll start posting again. Might do something small.
