  1. Raven nodded as the elevator started flowing down, listening to Icy. "To be honest, most of the books are journals that were kept by my family, but they were useful anyway. Like for example, I have a couple of journals that describe living in the Castle of the Twin Sisters. After the whole... Nightmare Moon thing, and the castle was abandoned, they go on to describe some theories how the Everfree forest came to be, and some of the best ways to deal with the monsters in it. One of the ones I think was most interesting is that because of the Elements of Harmony were in frequent use during that time, they formed a barrier that kept a source of dark magic restricted, but when they were lost during the fight, it allowed the dark magic to seep into the land, and create the forest." She said, before looking off in thought. "As for equipment, the only things I know for sure I need right now is some Aetheric monitoring equipment, and a lot of crystals, as well as miscellaneous magical research supplies..." She shook her head, thinking more about what could be being built that was underground, and would need to be dug out afterwords...
  2. Raven followed Icy, nodding. "It's more my family's library that I'm worried about transferring... They have detailed spell manuals and tactic textbooks... anatomy books... Basically, you know that story trope about the monster hunters that have a library full of information on the things they hunt? That may actually have been based on my family, from way back in the past..." She said as they headed back into the building. "I'm sure that any equipment that you can acquire would be better than what I'm messing with, though having the stuff from my home would at least help with setting up any particular magical arrays and such..." She finished, as Icy pressed the button on the secret elevator. "There's another big thing you're building? I can't wait to see that too!"
  3. Raven held Icy close throughout the last song, a warm smile on her face. It wasn't as exciting as when they kissed, but that didn't matter as just being close to Icy was enough for her. As the song wore down, Icy mentioned her shield, and she blushed slightly again. "I... I didn't actually mean to cast it... For some reason, certain spells of mine are always right there, ready to be cast at a moments notice, and that is one of them..." She said, right before the crowd started to applaud, drowning out any other words she would have said. She applauded too, as the show was every bit as amazing as was advertised, if not more so. When the applause died down, and the crowd started to disperse, she followed Icy, who headed down to meet with the performer. It took a second for Raven to remember that Icy said she'd hired her before, so they'd likely be friends. Sure enough, Wind Dancer almost immediately recognized Icy, and the two had a short conversation. However, Raven was surprised when Wind mentioned her spell, and couldn't help the blush that happened. Before she got a chance to respond, however, somepony else caught Wind's attention and she'd left. Icy then mentioned looking at the lab, and Raven smiled, nodding. What followed though was a bit of a shock. Icy... Icy wanted them... to live together. The idea was amazing, and Raven realized quickly how much she loved the idea, though it was quickly followed by some slight panic at the thought of what would need to be done. She had a bunch of stuff in Canterlot, and depending on the size of her lab, she wasn't sure how much she could bring... plus, she couldn't just sell her family's home... The land it was on had been a gift from the princesses, long ago. She'd need to get a caretaker... A few more thoughts ran through her head before she realized she'd been silent for a bit, and blinked, hoping the look of shock on her face conveyed just how unprepared she was for this, and not that she didn't want to do it. "Sorry... I... I just... Wow... I mean of course, Yes! I... I got lost, thinking of what I'd need to do... I would need to move the entirety of my study... And some of the stuff in the training room... And... and hire someone to take care of the house..." She said, trailing off before she quickly gave Icy a passionate hug and kiss. She thought she heard some random pony say something about getting a room, but she had one now, and it was with this amazing and beautiful mare she was embracing...
  4. if you're looking to do more armored pones, I would like to request one of my on-site version of Raven. I don't have any particular idea for how the armor should look, but it's been in her family for generations. Here's some pics of the way she looks on-site.
  5. Raven blinked at Icy's revealing of the surprise. "You... You made a lab... for... for me?" She said, disbelief and happiness in her voice. She didn't get much of a chance to say anything else though as the lights around went out and the music started. She was familiar with the first song, having had to attend a few operas due to her obligations as the last heir of her house. However, seeing Wind Dancer dive and soar in time as well as the volcano go off with the music brought something special to it, reviving the song. She watched with rapt attention, even as some of the spray of water washed over her, a wide smile on her face. "I know, you weren't kidding, She's amazing!" She said, responding to Icy. Soon, however, it wasn't just her smile that was wide, but her eyes too as the wind started to pick up, pulling the water into a swirl of rain clouds. She'd never seen a hurricane before, but even she could recognize the structure of one, and she couldn't believe that one mare alone was fast and strong enough to generate one. She was speechless, especially with how the winds whipped around them, seemingly like a very strong summer breeze. Then, Wind Dancer left her even more speechless as she soared through the explosion of the volcano, even though in her mind she knew it had to be safe, she was too wrapped up in the moment. When the next song came on, Raven found herself drawn in, despite not particularly liking the song. The energy of the performance and the crowd drug her along though, especially with how into it Icy seemed. She felt Icy give her short little pecks on the cheeks, and smiled, the energy making her bob a little. However, she very quickly snapped out of it when Wind Dancer started to drift down with one wing closed, a quick thought of Wind being hurt being banished by how serene she looked. It was planned, and so was the graceful fall backwards, though she couldn't help the soft smirk that crossed her face as she felt Icy shift nearby. She'd recognized the poise thanks to her family's hoof-to-hoof training, even if she couldn't recognize the exact intent. However, her jaw dropped as the mare was shot out of the volcano, a massive spray of water coming. She was so focused on the mare, that up until the wave was right on top of them, she wasn't aware of it. A quick wave of panic crossed her face as a smoky green wave of magic flashed on her horn, wrapping her in a quick shield... and diverting most of the water onto those around her... including Icy. She looked over, but she didn't seem to mind, enjoying the performance still. She really needed to get that spell under control, and she blushed at the slight embarrassment that the accidental cast had brought to her, not that many seemed to even notice. Still, it wasn't a shock of magic shooting across the arena, so so far, everything was good... especially when Icy told her she loved her. She smiled and gave her a quick peck, leaning into her. "I love you too." She said, watching for the next part of the performance. The next part was a little much for Raven, the flashing lights hurting her eyes a bit, but she could tell still how much work had went into this part of the routine. Not only Wind had to be spot on with her dancing, but the ponies operating the lights and effects too. When it wound down, she smiled again, leaning her head onto Icy's shoulder as Wind seemed to stand on the surface of the water, an amazing effect. Soon, the next song began, and with, came more special effects. The jets of water and flame added to the spectacle, and she couldn't say that she didn't enjoy how Icy snuggled up to her as the jets of flame near them went off, though she knew it was from fear of the heat, and did her best to comfort Icy, drawing her into a kiss to try to distract her from the flames. As the flames died, she let go, a slightly goofy smile on her face as her sparked a bit. She was soon back to normal though, just in time for the last of the performance. It was a great song, and seemed to sum up everything that she felt for Icy, how every touch of theirs was electric, making her heart beat, and she hugged Icy close, eyes closed as she leaned into her...
  6. Raven walked beside Icy, resting her head lightly on Icy, partly not to lose her, and partly so as not to get separated in the crowd that had started to form up around their destination. She could see a pegasus over on their own in a protected area, wearing a flight suit, stretching. That must of been the performer they were going to see. As they came to the crowd, she was surprised to see they were waved over and let through fairly quickly, before realizing that with Icy being an owner of a casino here, she'd of course be a known figure, though she did blush a little at being called Icy's significant other. She'd have to get over that at some point, if nothing else than because Icy was an up and coming figure in Equestria's nobility... Not to mention the fact that she was friends with some of the princesses... She smiled as she thought of that, excited to see just how far her marefriend could go. As they took their seats near the top of the arena, she thought back to what Icy had said, about them not seeing each other in a while. "You know... I... I wish I could spend more time with you... but... but all my research and books and stuff are in Canterlot..." She said, a wistful look on her face...
  7. Raven nodded. "Someone who's well versed in crystal based magic might be of help. Honestly, I've been doing most of this on my own as I haven't the fainest clue when it comes to academic studies... being expelled and then home schooled will do that to you." She said, before noting Icy's next words. She let out a soft giggle, a warm smile coming to her face. "That's... I don't know what to say... It's just... I mean... We're on a date right now, So I thought talking about my day job wouldn't be all that... Exciting, you know?" She bit her lip as she realized what she was saying, but luckily, Icy had remembered something, and slid another brochure her way. The mare on the front looked like she was having fun, and a show sounded nice... especially since a show was what had led to their dating, and their first night together... "That sounds lovely, and maybe even better than the jousting show... after all, I doubt there will be a kiss cam at this one." She said with a playful wink, having long gotten over the worry and shame that even had caused her...
  8. Raven slowed down her eating as she thought about it for a second. "Hmm... I always thought that the spell casting would work as a vent port, but maybe... hmm... if I put a small port in, and restructure the shape of the container to produce a steady flow... Could always make it to where it acts simply as an amplifier... would need to find a way to bleed it off if too much is poured in, as even a port can only bleed off so much... maybe a series of ports..." She said, before shaking her head. "Sorry, I sometimes get carried away when a thought strikes me... We can discuss the boring things later... You were right about how good this food is!"
  9. Raven smiled as they watched the show, the act and flames making her smile warmly as she felt something inside her react to the flame before feeling Icy lean into her. She wrapped a hoof around her, remembering how Icy had said that heat is one of her major weaknesses. Once the show was over and the food in front of them, she felt Icy kiss her before asking about her research. "Well, I've had a little bit of progress... The main thing I'm working on is figuring out what type of crystal and which matrices can hold the most thaums, as every time I think I'm getting close to some kinda enchantment, the focus shatters... To be honest, My study's becoming a bit pot-marked with the shards... Luckily, that shield spell that popped up back when we spared up north can be cast fairly quickly, and is fairly solid..." She said, before the smell of the food became too much, and she dived into eating, clearly enjoying the food...
  10. Raven smiled at the hostess and asked for some tea, before looking at Icy, letting her guide her hoof on the food. She'd never been to a place like this before, where apparently they cooked the food right in front of you. Though, now that she thought about it, wasn't saying much as most of her restaurant experiences were deliveries or small cafes. Once Icy had helped her pick a dish, she settled for sitting beside her, smiling at the warmth she felt just from being around her marefriend...
  11. Raven smiled as they slowly made their way to the restaurant, slowed by her looking around at all the sights and sounds. The sounds were doing a slight number on her with her instincts, her ear flicking at each new sound, trying to locate where they were coming from. "It's... It's a little loud and distracting... but I suppose in a place where everything is, that's the best way to get others to spend their money here. I haven't really ever been in a place with this many sights and sounds... Wait... My surprise? You got me something other than this time with you? You... You didn't have too... I mean... Most of your finances are probably tied up, right?" She said grinning a bit as they arrived in front of the restaurant.
  12. Raven giggled as they headed for the elevator. "I'd hope not... Would make it tough if we wanted to do something tonight like dancing. Though, I'm sure that you have the finest chefs." She said with a smile as they went down to the lobby. She couldn't stop from giving Icy another kiss, and leaning on her, a soft warm look on her face from being near her marefriend after so long being apart...
  13. Raven blushed as she blinked in surprise, completely floored by Icy's reaction to what to her was a simple pair of earrings. "I love you too." She said when she finally got her wits back and hugged Icy back. She smiled warmly, and drew back a little so she could kiss her, her horn sparking slightly at her feelings of passion. It was lovely, and she would have preferred to stay there in that moment, but her stomach had other ideas as it let it's emptiness be known. She giggled a bit as she sheepishly pulled back, smiling at Icy without saying anything...
  14. Raven grinned as she turned, hiding the small box behind her as she took in Icy's new dress. "Yep... I saw them in Canterlot, and couldn't help but think of you." She said, before showing the earrings to Icy. She'd also picked out a simple dress that followed a similar pattern to Icy's, but from a gentle red to a faded orange. Deciding to change while Icy was looking at her gift, she smiled warmly, happy to be able to spend time with Icy...
  15. Raven looked around in awe as they headed into Icy's penthouse. It was very well themed for the mare who owned, and she couldn't help a slight smile forming on her face as she took it all in. When Icy mentioned getting comfortable, she looked around for a out of the way spot to put her luggage, and started looking through them, looking for the ear rings to give to Icy, as well as a simple dress to wear out on their date tonight. "Take your time, I've got a little bit of a surprise that I've got to find..." She said, a knowing smile on her face.
  16. Raven smiled at Icy mentioning their suite. However, that would have to wait as she was asked to pick where they ate tonight. She took the brochure as they stepped into the elevator, looking over it, noticing there was a few chains, but it seemed to mostly be restaurants that were constructed for the casino. "Hmm... How bout this Neighponesse place? I've heard they have a lot of good food dishes." She said, looking up to see which floor they were going to.
  17. Raven blushed as Icy gave her a hug and a quick kiss but smiled before returning the favor. "That's good, my research is going well... least, as well as it can with what little resources I've been able to acquire my self... But, that's something I can think about later. After all, I'm here to vacation with you, even if you need to manage this wonderful place." She said before remembering her bags and quickly bringing them over. She had a few fancier dresses in there, but it was mostly just things she always traveled with. A few books, her armor, a few little things from her home to make the hotel rooms feel more lived in... Not that she was sure she'd need them, depending on where in the casino she was to sleep. She also had a small surprise for Icy, a pair of snowflake shapped earrings that had a small flame engraved into them... She smiled in excitement as she followed Icy...
  18. Raven smiled as she trotted over to Icy, her luggage temporarily being forgotten by the door. She stopped just short of hugging her though, not wanting to mess up Icy's nice dress. "Hey. Sorry I took so long getting here... Never been to Las Pegasus before. It was a little more than I was expecting... Busier than Canterlot, at least. How have you've been?" She said, smiling warmly at Icy. The lobby looked nice, the games off to the side, and a few shops and restaurants off on the other. There was a bunch of restaurants that looked like they'd be interesting, though she'd not brought a lot of bits with her...
  19. Raven smiled as she headed down the street, a little ways off from the main strip of Las Pegasus. Icy had finally invited her to visit the casino and the hidden bunker underneath it, and said something about packing for a decent stay. She wasn't sure what exactly that meant, maybe Icy was planning on them spending some time together, which she was more than looking forward to. It'd been a while since they'd last had time to spend with each other, and she was getting mighty bored sitting around the house, just training and working on her research. Soon enough, she was in front of the casino, and with a huge smile on her face, she headed in...
  20. Awesome! I've been needing new versions of her. lol.
  21. Hmm... I'd love to request one, but before, I have a quick question. Is it okay if I request one of a char not on this site? I have a ref sheet for them.
  22. Raven smiled as she took her ice cream from her marefriend. "Well... If I wasn't so busy with my research center, and you with your projects, we could hang out some more... Spend more time together, maybe at a restaurant, then go see a movie... When's the next time you'll be free? I would ask about tonight, but it's such short notice, and I don't want to put you on the spot anyway..." She said, a soft smirk on her face before she started to eat.... (Well, that might give Twilight something to Twilight about :))
  23. Raven nodded, seeing no other course of action at the moment. She closed her eyes, trying to feel the area around them with the force, though it took a little bit to put her emotions aside so she could. She quickly located what seemed to be part of an old support strut, and glided it over. It seemed to be tapered, and she smiled slightly at their good fortune as she slid the small end into the crack they'd opened...
  24. Raven smiled. "Hmm... About the time someone addresses her, or she realizes that she used a wing there..." She said with a slight giggle. After watching the others for a second, a look of thoughtfulness crossed her face. "You know... I don't think I've ever managed to have some of your ice cream..." She looked at the counter for what flavors Icy could make, before smiling. "Some Butter Pecan sounds nice..."
