I finally did it.
After 6 or 7 years or so as a brony and something like 30+ OCs.... I finally made my ponysona.
Her name is Paige Scribble.
Isn't she amazing! I love it so much! And it only took me like 1,000 hours to do (that hair was a nightmare lol).

How (in)active has the community here been lately? I've been gone a while, so I guess it'd be prudent to also ask if there are any major changes since... when was it? Idk sometime last year.
If I decide to become active again, should I make an intro post? I'll likely read or at least skim the rules over again to re-familiarize myself.

Oh, hm. um, you may have misunderstood some things from my post in the thread. As well as his character bio.
Stellar is an adult. Not a colt lol.
Also, cutting the line was not meant to be a part of the rp. I didn't realise we'd started rping the wait in line. Maybe I should've read some of the posts before mine. I would've done mine differently.

Cool! I've thought about getting some of the Daring Do books, myself, but I never really had enough interest to actually go looking for them. *shrug*
Tho, now that the series is over, I'm thinking about getting into the comics.

Finally getting around to apping my mane OC (still WIP).
What's that? Why, yes. I did make apps for a bunch of randos (including new OCs I made specifically for Canterlot) before I even made one for my mane OC.
Why's that? Well, it may be more obvious if you knew me before Canterlot, but I'll leave that answer up to your imagination.
Let's just say I've had to make adjustments to her character.
Anywho, y'all can finally meet Flower Love (who is in my pfp).

Honestly, I had the same problem and I let it stop me from doing anything for a minute.
I say just make a new thread (sign up thread where you ask for people to join you and you can include that you may be a little rusty if it helps you feel better) and start rping with someone. You'll get back into the swing in no time.

Been brain storming for another character idea. I feel like all of my OC's act almost exactly the same. Always looking out for others, and staying out of trouble. I have been wanting to come up with a Oc that lies in the middle ground of good and evil for awhile now. Kind of like a antihero, But i have yet to come up with a good idea. I think most of my Oc's are kind of generic, and i want to come up with an Oc that will stand out among all my other Oc's.

I can certainly understand being discontent with the monotony of characters whose personalities don't defer much from each other.
I find what's helpful is to come up with something each of your characters has that the others don't.
For instance, I have a character who is blunt, gruff and just generally rough around the edges. She's nice, and fiercely loyal, but she doesn't joke, or goof around (she's a lot like Marble Pie, but I made her before she was introduced).
Then I have her best friend (and secret crush) who's basically the opposite. She's hyperactive and silly and she's a little eccentric. (this one, I have an app for)
I also have a character who's a scaredy cat. He's skittish, and generally a nervous wreck. He tries to be brave and do new things, but he's scared of almost literally everything. (not quite the same as Fluttershy. He's got reason to be as nervous at he is)
So yeah. The point is that I usually try to give each of them a quirk that makes them unique from my other OCs. The mane 6 from the show are a pretty good example of a group of characters who each have their unique quirks that break up their monotony, and give them depth.
You can, of course, also give them different motivations and an ambiguity to their morals. I'm just saying there's also more options for making them feel more like different characters.
In any case, happy character building, and good luck with making characters you'll have fun with playing. ^v^

Are these events beholden to WoE standards, or only by their own rules?
