Residence: Originally from Phillydelphia, but tends to travel often Occupation: Wandering bard/minstrel. It's not a very good job, but the benefits outweigh the pay. Motivation: To travel the world and share his musical prowess. Likes: Freedom, music, nature, traveling, playing his lute, running Dislikes: too much restriction, hard labor, the hoity toitie crowd, soup Character Summary: Born into a family of blue collar, working ponies, he never felt like he fit in. While most of his family was drawn to the appeal of construction and the opportunity the bustling city of Phillydelphia offered, Cadenza's spirit was always elsewhere. He often found himself fantasizing about how it may feel to be a leaf caught in an updraft; Traversing Equestria and flying free, the wind at his back and never knowing where he may end up. Time and time again, his father would encourage Cadenza to accompany him on his work route to pick up the family trade, but as a free spirited foal, his father's hopes were only met with disinterest and daydreaming. One afternoon, while sitting in on construction project, Cadenza cleared his mind and noticed the sounds of industry around him. Before long, he began compiling every "clink" or crash and the rhythm of life was revealed to him; he was instantly addicted. Music filled the void in his heart, and with so much music in Equestria to experience, he finally knew why the world seemed to be calling out to him. Because Cadenza's family was so large their income didn't allow for many privileges so he often found himself attempting to sneak into theaters and concerts, desperately trying to feed his addiction. He knew he had to find a way to bring music into his life; he needed an instrument. Desperate to buy himself an instrument, he traveled the city doing odd jobs saving and scrounging any money he could to purchase that which he desired more than anything. Despite his hard work and tireless efforts, he was always short of his goal and spent every night staring in the windows of the Music shop with longing eyes and a heavy heart. Surprised with his son's sudden work ethic, Cadenza's father took notice to the foal's struggle and knew what had to be done. On the eve of Cadenza's last birthday before he would enter into colthood, his father returned home with an elegant Lute of the highest quality. Overjoyed at the surprise, Cadenza found himself embracing his father with tears welling up as he read the engraving on the back; "The music is all around us; All you have to do is listen". Finally understanding his boy's calling, his father instructed Cadenza that it was his destiny to travel the world, bringing music and joy to those around him and experiencing the rich sounds it had to offer. The following morning, Cadenza's father sent his son into the world to embrace his dreams, and as he turned to look at the family that had so lovingly set his spirit free, a musical score appeared on his flank, almost as if it were marking the beginning of his new life. Cadenza is a very laid back pony. In fact, he's so laid back that it's actually become a fault. Now, it's not so much as he's lazy as it is he has a short attention span for actual work and becomes distracted quite easily. The only time he can find focus is when playing or preforming. Thankfully, his lifestyle is manageable considering his concern for money or material possessions is limited as long as he has his lute. He spends most of his time traveling from town to town and often stays as long as he feels the need. In his travels, he's become accustomed to many instruments and can play almost anything you place before him but his loyalty will always lie in the lute his father had given to him. Because of his good looks and care free attitude, phillies seems to flock to him.Sadly though, he's developed quite the reputation as lady killer as he captures the hearts of the girls then just as suddenly as he appeared, he leaves on the winds for his next destination. Being unemployed, he can sometimes be a bit of a mooch or try to bargain goods for songs or performances. Most often it doesn't work, but it's always worth a shot right? His optimistic nature seems to blanket him from reality at times which can irritate those around him but otherwise he's one of the friendliest ponyfolk you'll ever meet. Character Reference:

Hey everyone, I'm new around here, obviously and I thought it may be a good idea to drop in a introduce myself before I did anything else, haha. My name's Anuvia, or Sam. Either way, I don't mind be called by either c: I'm a long time fan of the My Little Pony series as it was a staple to my mornings growing up. Over the years, MLP and I kind of grew apart, but the new FiM series has reunited us, ~AND IT FEEELS SO GOOOD~ I'm not going to lie, as a 21 year old adult, I feel awkward running into walmart for pony runs, or spending my days on ponychan or MLP RPG sites, but I just can't keep away ;u; Outside of ponies, I like to consider myself an artist, haha.
