  1. 1. Had to go with Twilight on this one. Being the main character, she's the one who gets the most screentime. With the most dialogue, and her relationship with the other characters, little girls would likely see her as a mentor of a sort and maybe even a kind of second mother figure (even more than Celestia). 2. Of course I went with Pinkie. She's PINK. Little girls adore pink; I swear to god I think it's genetic. Even without being told, they gravitate toward it. That's why Hasbro made Pink-Lestia and put pink highlights in the manes of nearly all the mane cast toys, as well as the playsets. Hasbro's done this a long time; they know what sells.
  2. Oooh, another Pinkie Pie fan! Who can deny how epic she is? I mean, she breaks the fourth wall, the fifth wall, and can think inside the chimney! Anyway, welcome to the herd, pegasister. I'm new here too so poke me if you need anything.
  3. Hey, another relatively new brony, good to meet you. It's amazing just how many people have found out about the show in the final few months of 2011; it's a sign the love is spreading faster and faster. I'm brand-new here too, but I think we're both going to enjoy it. There seems to be a higher standard of decency and respect here than some other places.
  4. All credit for my av goes to Braukoly: http://braukoly.deviantart.com/ I did not make the image it comes from, and if he notifies me that he wants it removed, I will do so immediately.
  5. About myself.: I'm an editor at a semi-large newspaper in Western Massachusetts, USA. I'm in my early 30s, haven't really found anyone special (yet), but it's OK because most people know me as someone who can handle problems pretty well on his own. I've actually been a "furry" (whatever the definition of that is now, it keeps changing) all my life, almost literally. Once I saw Don Bluth's "The Secret of NIMH" when I was 3 for the first time, I was hooked for-EVERRRR. That then blossomed into a love for the Sonic the Hedgehog Saturday morning show when I was about 13, then the online furry community once I got online for the first time in 1997. It hasn't been easy for me -- let's leave it at that. But I'm altogether genuine and honest. I've drawn a good amount of art in my life, too. I have a bachelor's in it (natch) but am still learning and my random attempts can be seen at various galleries around the 'Net. I'm also a devout fan of Evangelion -- I'm staring at a figure of Asuka Langley Soryu right now. Like FiM, I felt that show defied expectations and brought something new and fresh to the animation industry. And anypony who really knows me well know I'm big into symphonic metal, especially Nightwish and Epica. It's just such sweeping and powerful music that makes you think of stuff like fighting dragons and going on quests for ancient swords and... well. yeah. Nothing beats a good round of Skyrim with NW in the background. How did you hear about Canterlot.com?: Equestria Daily made regular references to you guys. How did you became a fan of FiM?: Looking for Skyrim parodies, found Fluttershy and off I went. My one favourite main cast pony?: Rainbow Dash So, now that you know a little more about me, hello everypony! I have absolutely fallen in love with this show. I came to it late -- it was just early November when I found out about it. But oh the things I've learned since then. I've been through the ups, the downs and everything in between. I've seen the love, I've seen the hate, I've seen the world that we cr... well anyway. You get the idea. I browse around image boards like Ponibooru and blogs like Eq Daily almost every day looking for new pony goodness. There's just so much that can be done with this world, in my opinion. It's an open sandbox universe, with so much epic content and wonderful little personal stories just waiting to be told. Between the humor and the heartfelt warmth I get from the show, I just can't resist the ponies. I deeply respect Ms. Faust and the creative team behind the show -- this is a phenomenon that comes around once in a lifetime, maybe twice, and they've worked their flanks off to make it magical. I love all the little memes we make, the unique spins on characters, the mashups, and just how we've basically taken this show into our hearts and snuggled it close. I even managed to rope my mother into the show -- she's seen up through S1E24 at this point, and i suspect she's becoming a closet pegasister. I even found out at my newspaper the other day that I work with two people who know about the show and may be fans. So I'll be hanging around as my schedule allows me to. Feel free to ask me anything about my opinions on the show, why I do what I do, how many ponies it takes to screw in a magical light bulb, etc. Nice to meet everypony!
