Well that's nifty. ^^ Good for her. Hopefully everything goes smoothly!

I won't be able to see any new movies until at least October, unfortunately. (The nearest movie theater is a two hour drive from here and in another country, so I don't make it very often [ever].) But I hear that it's good, and I am excited to see it when I can.

Tales, right? I've figured it out. I'm using an app to browse the forum, not a browser window. I didn't see any icons (and still don't) but that's okay. If I tap on my post's title several dialog boxes pop up, one of which is called Modify. ^_^ Will give it a go tomorrow, it's bedtime for me.

[Pony Related Character] Name: Gypsy Breeze Gender:female Age: mare (~28 in human years) Species: Pegasus Pelt Color: orangey gold Mane/Tail Color: teal with lime green streaks; long and layered with feathery bangs, mane usually under a yellow kerchief. Eye Color: Red-orange Cutie Mark: Physique: Average to athletic. She appears sturdy and strong. Residence: Her home is located in Trottingham, but she is rarely there for any length of time. Occupation: Traveler Motivation: To see the world! Likes: Adventure, meeting new ponies, food, good conversations, poker, music and dancing, helping flowers to grow with her weather skills. Dislikes: Competition, studying, work, boredom, uncooked tomatoes, rude ponies. Character's Personality: A happy-go-lucky pony who is always most interested in what lies over the horizon, Gypsy Breeze is a stalwart companion - as long as the going doesn't get too tough! Perennially lazy and lover of a good party, Gypsy is constantly moving about from town to town, making new friends and memories as she goes. She is generally upbeat and positive, always seeing a sunny side to everything. Character Summary: She is an intelligent and curious pony, and she was nearly the last pony among her peers to get her cutie mark. This was mostly due to Gyp's enthusiasm and interest in a wide range of topics; why pick just one talent or skill to focus on? This led to some amount of friction between her and her parents, who felt their daughter's frustration but were unable to ease it. They reasoned that her angst would end naturally, and if it took a little longer for her cutie mark to come in than had their friends' colts and fillies it wasn't the end of the world. They loved her, the same way they always had. Thus her home was a sanctuary from mocking cries of "Blank flank!" and the like. One spring afternoon, while on a picnic in the forest with her parents, Gyp wandered off while exploring. She did this often on outings, and as she grew toward her teenage years her parents worried less year by year when she disappeared. Usually she would reappear just as quickly as she'd gone. Often she would tell her parents with delight about some flower or creature that she'd seen. On this day, Gypsy stumbled over an owl made out of stone which was lying across her pathway. "How strange!" she thought, "Such exquisite carving, it almost looks real.. I should tell the others!" She retraced her steps to the clearing where she'd left her family, only to find two statues shaped just like her parents, and nopony else! Poor Breeze had never learned about cockatrices, so she didn't understand the danger she was in. If she had she would have frozen up with fright! But she did know that they weren't far from the outskirts of Ponyville, so she decided to go find help. She led the party of rescuers back to the picnic clearing, and they drove off the cockatrice. Once her parents were back to normal she felt a curious tingling sensation on her hip; turning, she saw her brand new cutie mark for the first time. There was a scroll, no, not just a scroll, it had a brown-colored grid of lines: it looked like an old treasure map! A small dashed line ("the same color as my eyes!" she thought with delight) which led to a ? shape could be seen on the map as well as the grid. "I did it! I got my cutie mark! It's because I love to explore so much . I was safe when the cockatrice got here and was able to go for help," she gushed to her parents, while they glowed with pride. "If exploring and helping ponies in need is what makes me special, then I think that's what I should do." Her parents agreed with her, and from that day on Gypsy Breeze has lived a largely indepentent and nomadic life. She still finds time to visit her parents occasionally, which always brings a smile to their wrinkled faces. But her biggest love in life now that she's fully grown up is still exploring new places and making new friends.

I work in Alaska between the end of April (right about now, yes; I just finished my first week) til the beginning of October. That is: TOURIST SEASON-n-n-n. If you have ever been lucky enough to take a cruise to Alaska the chances are very high that you've been in my summer town, as we're the furthest northern port on the Inside Passage. 2011 is my third season/summer up here and I find I enjoy it very much! As for what I actually do, I run a small buffet line at an outdoor dinner theatre/salmon bake outfit. It's pretty easy work, although it's outdoors; I have lots of convenient roofed patios to hang out in, and the huge central fire where we grill the salmon where one can warm up cold fingers. Winter sees me safely ensconced in my Pacific Northwest home, supporting myself on commissions and part time odd jobs. Or unemployment, possibly! It varies from year to year with what's available.

Well, I've gone and made an account. Name's Pan: artist, nature enthusiast, and dork extraordinaire. I've been a fan of the MLP franchise since childhood, and it's so fun to get to experience a resurgence in its popularity now that I'm an adult. No pony characters yet, but I have a few ideas rolling around in my noggin. :} About the RL me: I'm in my late 20s, am an artist as well as being a huge nerd. I like all different types of music (favorite of the moment is The Decemberists) and generally enjoy a nice hike or getting out into my garden more than a movie, though those can be fun too. Other things I like include cooking, various fandoms, dragons, reading, and long walks under the stars. Nice to meet you all!
