  1. Since I was finally won over by watching gameplay vids of AudioSurf, here's my info! Name: SpiralFever Most played game: AudioSurf Favorite Game: Portal 2 (TAKE THE LEMONS) Group: None yet! Give me groups! I need communities to be a part of!
  2. Still here! I just haven't had the time to establish threads for my latest characters. I've been running around trying to find jobs in my area (With no hits at all) and free time has been pretty rare. I'm slowly chipping away at requests and my one commission at the moment, and I should be getting those up within the next few days or so. Not sure how much longer my inactivity will be though. I have good thoughts about a photography studio I applied at, and I am hoping to hear back from them within the next week or two. If/when I get the job, it will take me a week to figure out my own personal schedule and work around the job.
  3. Aaaa, this is adorable! I've never seen something like this before! I've had Rainbow Dash playing around on my screen for nearly an hour XD It's like having a micro pet. Every time I see her moving, I almost have the urge to pet her mane! I wonder if anyone has made something like this outside of the pony fandom. I'm rather tempted to make a little Toothless to wander across my screen! Dash and him could be racing buddies!
  4. Omg omg omg, I seriously got a little teary-eyed when Fluttershy started to cry! ;A; I swear, if she ever cries on the show I'm going to lose it. I really liked how they pulled a Harry Potter moment in this episode! That was great! I just know that's what happens to folks who see a phoenix at the end of it's life cycle. The design for the phoenix's reborn form is just PERFECT! All in all, a super cute episode! I pretty much lost it in a fit of giggles every time that bird *POIK'D* out a tuft of feathers!
  5. This so much! I'm a big supporter of pirating and viral vids. For the right reasons of course. The people that really care about and love the show will always buy the products. I know I do! "The system of piracy and filesharing supports artists more than any label or promotional endeavors could ever hope to." -Renard Renard was referring to music pirating of course, but the message can be applied to anything! Half of the battle of advertisement and television in general is to make people know and remember the product. In this case, the product is a cute child's toy. When it comes to musical artists, most of their profit is from advertisers and concert venues. When it comes to children's programming, they get their profit from television advertising and product sales. You'd be amazed at the profit Hasbro gets on it's toy lines. Of course, they are a company founded on the sales of kids toys. Even if the Friendship is Magic series was on the internet only, they would still make an amazing profit from toy sales. The kids would see the show, see the ads for the show's line of toys, and demand that their parents buy the toys. See? PROFIT! Hasbro would do just as well if the show went completely viral. They would lose so little in sales, if any at all! Hell, they might make more money! The age of TV advertisement and sales is probably drawing to a close, and the digital/viral age is still in it's baby stages. I really love that more companies are beginning to focus their attention on the internet. So much of the world relies on the 'net for resources, business deals and education. Going viral is such an amazing way to get the word out about your product.
  6. Went with Tender Care as suggested by Meow! Thank you all so much for the input! Gave me a lot of other ideas to use! Also, she is no longer a WIP unless mods feel I should change anything
  7. Keylime Dream: All of her food would turn out sour or salty instead of light and sweet! Danny Fae: His piano skills would go down the drain. He wouldn't be able to carry a piano tune in a bucket with a lid
  8. Ooooh, I like the idea of Tender Heart! I used to LOVE Care Bears!
  9. http://devhalena.livejournal.com is me!
  10. Decided on Tender Care as suggested by Meow. It sounds so cute, and matches her personality perfectly! Thank you! (Tender Heart was a good idea too, but I'll leave that name to the sweetest Care Bare in history <333) [ Pony Related Character ] Name: Tender Care Gender: Female Age: Mare (Probably somewhere around 25 human years, new nursing graduate) Species: Pegasus Pelt Color: Very light chestnut with light brown wing tips Mane/Tail Color & Style: Light pink, mane is set in a messy bun, tail is tied near the bottom (Similar to how Applejack ties hers) She also wears a little nurse hat when on the job. Eye Color: Violet Cutie Mark: Cross made of band-aids with a dripping syringe in front of it Physique: Skinny, very athletic Residence: Cloudsdale Occupation: Emergency Aid, Nurse Motivation: She always loved helping other ponies when she was young, fixing small scrapes and cuts on the playground. She was always covered in band-aids herself because her caring comes at a fault. She's incredibly clumsy. Always dropping supplies through school, tripping over the tiniest bumps of clouds, crashing into doors and other obstacles... Despite her clumsy behavior, she's very good at what she does. When she gets her mind on the job of nursing sick and injured ponies, she never messes up. Her cutie mark is a pair of band-aids crossing over her flank to show her clumsiness, but the syringe to show her love for nursing. Likes: Helping others, sweet foods, cute animals, sunshine, rainbows Dislikes: Math, manticores, pollen (Very bad allergies to every flower known to ponykind) Character Summary: Tender Care was born in Cloudsdale to a family of very gifted doctors and nurses. She always loved caring for hurt ponies all through school, and knew early on that she would someday become a nurse. But she was so clumsy, all of her classmates always teased her and said she would never get through medical school. Tender Care never let this get her down, and studied hard. Despite her clumsiness, she's very smart and knows what she's doing. It's the paying attention part that needs work... She's very kind and always apologizing for her mistakes. Tender Care absolutely loves flowers, but can't get anywhere near them because she's violently allergic. She has filled her home with paintings of flowers to make up for it. Right now, she is living in a cloud home inside of Cloudsdale. She works at a clinic in the city, and occasionally does work in other places like Ponyville, Trottingham and Canterlot. 11. [ Creature Related Character ] Name: Danny Fae Gender: Male Age: Adult Species: Peryton Eye Color: Bright Blue Physique & Colors: Thin and lanky. His pelt is meant to reflect the colors of a piano. It is medium grey with darker freckles and muzzle stripe. His muzzle, neck and belly are a lighter grey. Danny has a tuft of straw colored hair between his small antlers. His hooves, nose and horn are a dark grey, almost black. His wings primary feathers are light grey. His eyes are a bright blue, and he wears black square glasses. He wears a black vest with a white shirt underneath. Residence: A small home on the outskirts of Roughrider Ridge (Of all the places for a Peryton!) Occupation: Danny gives piano lessons out of his home. He's very skilled with the Honkey-Tonk and Ragtime music genres. Likes: Quiet evenings, desert sunsets, wild stories from the locals Dislikes: Rudeness, bullies, cold weather, wind storms Character Summary: Danny is a very sweet peryton. He always does his best to help those in need, and loves to make people smile. He's very quiet, and doesn't speak much. He generally relies on his actions to speak for him. Danny originates from Whitetail Wood. When he was very young, a real rough rider pony on his way west passed through the woods and Danny helped him through to the edge of Ponyville. The rough rider told Danny that he was headed to the desert to make a name of himself. Danny listened to the amazing stories of buffalo, griffins, rough-and-tumble ponies and legendary adventures that happen in the west. Many years later, when Danny was strong enough, he began his own journey west, and settled in Roughrider Ridge. He was a very odd sight in the harsh environment, and his first day, we was robbed of what little gems he had by a gang of diamond dogs. Danny wasn't shaken by his bad first experience, and made the best of it anyways. He worked at some small jobs to gain some bits and eventually built a house of his own. He was offered a piano by an elderly griffin who was moving away from the harsh environment, and couldn't take it with him. Danny slowly taught himself how to play after hearing performances in local saloons and at traveling shows. He now teaches any young ones who want to learn. Character image:
  12. That was pretty much what I had in mind, the kinetic force that is. There's a theory out there about how the pyramids were built that suggest the Egyptians made some sort of pulley system, or possibly an engine that used kinetic energy to help move the giant blocks. Once there was enough force going behind them, the workers didn't have to push/pull the stones as hard as before. I can see that method being used as an effective train for the ponies. Sounds like a good way to cut down emission costs too. If you have ponies pulling 75% to 50% of the work, your engine won't require as much fuel (Like coal) As for single ponies pulling carts, I like your idea of magic to help carry them. It would require an awful lot of torque for a single pegasus to carry a cart like that. Torque that I think we've only seen from characters like Rainbow Dash. I bet there's a factory somewhere in Cloudsdale that makes specialized carts and carriages made from light wood and probably a little something else (Cloud magic of some sort?) to make them stay aloft.
  13. Oooh, I think you're right! The resemblance is uncanny!
  14. Oh man this was awesome! I've been itching for a 'Wild West' style episode for some time now! Finally, I have something to run on for a character Ive been working on for RoughRider Ridge! This was a pretty damn cute episode too! I loved the buffalo! And who in the world did the chief's voice!? I KNOW I've heard it somewhere before! My mind kept screaming "WARCRAFT, HE'S IN WoW SOMEWHERE!" But I think I was just going to that because of the Tauren and their similarities to the buffalo/natives. And Applejack, I love her more and more with each episode!
  15. Aaaa, you have such an awesome style! Totes watching you on DA now!
