  1. Well, Princess Dunnie would probably be stuck at home, mostly and looking for something to do. Maybe call over a writer to ask about the writing business, maybe pitch some ideas.
  2. Alright x3 Would Pennmin advertise working? What kind of writing would they do? Would they want to meet the new Princess?
  3. Dunnie flinched a bit as Bevel approached and touched her shoulder, throwing her out of her panicked stupor. "Y-yes, you're right." She lowered her voice and started throwing her gaze left and right, looking for anywhere that could provide sufficient cover from the growing number of eyes on the trio. Inevitably though, she would be distracted by the red ex-mare or more specifically her hands. The red fingers pushed against each other, slipped, and made a snap reminiscent of pine wood cracking under pressure. "What...in Tartarus?" Dunnie was appalled, confused, and a little scared by what Fire just did. "Maybe...we have magic afterall." Her tone was thoughtful as she scratched her scalp under her still pony-esque fluffy hairdo. "Also a dragon got turned into a dog?" She raised an eyebrow. Her hand came to her chin as she pondered. "What would a dog be turned into, then? And could a dog from here be turned into a dragon? Do the dragons here talk and smart enough to-- Hey! Stop doing that!" She said after Fire smacked her extended chest bits. Dunnie motioned her hand at them "Those could be important! We don't know wha--" she paused as she looked down to Fire's. "What the...? Why are yours bigger than mine?" Dunnie looked over to Bevel, scrutinizing for a moment, "Bevel's too?!" She put her hands to the side of her head in disbelief, though her distress about this would be cut short. Another sensation took over, her hairs on the back of her neck standing up. A bead of sweat formed on her brow and slid down her face as she turned slowly to see the source of the familiar voice. Brass Hat! Immediately Dunnie turned and stood at attention. Looking goofy in her sweater vest and pleated plaid skirt. As he approached, Dunnie's eyes got bigger as she locked on, staring up at the man. Somehow, this cursed world made him even more intimidating! "Oh, er..." Her face flushed red and her stance dropped immediately after being addressed, "Yes, Blixem! It's...er...with an 'm' at the end, sir." She corrected in an apologetic tone. And as he continued about how this world's Dunder had broken up with this world's Fire. She took a sharp inhale, then held it short as the sadness welled up in her gut. "Y-yeah..." Her tone dropped and gaze turned away to the ground, "He was pretty torn up about it, locked himself up in his room, cried a lot." Her hand came up to her arm, soothing herself as she spoke. "But, yes!" Some vigor coming back to her as she looked to the man "I'm--er, he's the best sword....wielder in all of Equestria! And makes the best hayburgers out there, without a doubt!" "Demons?" Her brows furrowed into a determined look, "Yes! We're here to check it out!" Her arms came out akimbo, one for Bevel and Fire each as she pulled them both into an embrace, her face becoming partially obscured by Bevel's particularly fluffy hairdo. "Bevel's super smart with her inventions and science, and Fire's got the grit and know-how to take on any situation!"
  4. Hello, I got two ponies. A princess based in Canterlot and a noblepony in the Tenochtitlan basin. A couple of mid-rank nobles if you think Pennmin would be interested in either.
  5. "You don't smell like an aged cheese, maybe you're more aged like wine!" She said to Discord after hearing his refutation. What she would do for a glass of wine... Dunnie smiled as the tiny dragon enjoyed her spot under her wings. The appendages were indeed fluffy and warm, perfect as a pillow or a blanket. "Yes, yes." She soothed the once grumpy dragon with some light petting with a wing. "Ferocious dragon you are! Even I would have feared you on the battlefield." Dunnie humored the orange creature until she was beckoned forth by Blueblood. "Enjoy the wedding!" She said with a smile to the dragon before trotting off to meet her stallion and Fire. Brown eyes scrutinized the parchment as Fire gave the griffon a light grilling on the tenants of the REA. She blinked and read the blue griffon's signature over and over again, "Well, you should work on your penmanship. You won't get very far in becoming an officer if your writing is this illegible." She stated. "Oh, and a letter of recommendation will help with becoming an officer." She gave Fire a wink. Though, Dunnie hadn't become an officer with Fire's help but it was probably still true! "Who, knows, maybe by attending the School of Friendship you could get a few extra ranks." When Squall approached she was just about to tell him this was an internal affair, but he dropped some facts onto Dunnie's ears. "WHAT?!" Her ears stood up and wings pompfed out, almost striking those next to her. "Drinking? A griffon kid?" She frowned as she snatched up the recruitment papers. She read the recruiter's signature again, "Very well." She closed her eyes, "By my decree as princess, I will have this recruiter reprimanded and demoted. Upward mobility within the REA's ranks to be severely limited." She punctuated her point with an outstretched leg. She didn't actually know if she had the power for this, but she would try!
  6. "Yes." Cemmoyahua nodded in agreement with Norton. She didn't really understand what Rose was saying, but it seemed she was addressing the problem. "Alchemy is an aid, not relying on." She took the note in her telekinesis and gave it a look. She then floated it off to Norton so he could see it too. "Of course, if there is any other way to help I will like to see. Not just with the ground, but with growing and fruiting for plants." She explained as she dug in the ground with her hoof some, examining the soil. "Many of times, there are many solutions, yes?" She suggested then looked to Rose, "You seem compotent, do not restrict yourself."
  7. Memories of the 'foothills' came back to Dunnie as chaos incarnate brought the incident back up. 'Foothills' was certainly a curious way to put it, which Dunnie should have expected since it came straight from the noodle's mouth. "You know, any pony would turn that color!" Flashbacks to bumbling through Chaosville and landing on what seemed like perfectly trustworthy grass and dirt, albeit pink grass. Only for her weight to fall unhindered. Instead of landing on a curious hillside she felt like she splashed into a pink pool only to emerge with her coat stained the color of the deceptive grass. "Not that I didn't like the color!" She stuck her hoof out and turned to punctuate her point, "But it didn't fit me, y'know? Changes in foal steps and all that" The irony was lost on the mare. "Also I did kind of deserve it, I was very insistent on finding out what was in that book, and I found out." She giggled lightly. When she caught sight of Discord's new coffee brown backpack, who not-so-curiously mentioned coffee, Dunnie gave her an amused look. "Of course! It only makes sense you'd come given those experiments all those years ago." She explained as she returned the hoof bump with a wide grin, the silver bangle on her foreleg danging for but a moment. With her other foreleg, she pushed herself up to her haunches, then launched herself into the air with a powerful kick off the ground. As she floated in front of Discord, she gave his little white beard tuft a playful cat-like smack and giggled. She wrapped a leg around Discord's noodly body and slid down to meet Bevel where she was perched. "So, thanks for coming." She leaned in and gave the floofy, fuzzy brown mare a nuzzle, nose to nose for a moment then went back to hanging off the draconeqqus. "Of course, we supplied the wedding with only the finest of Canterlot's instant coffees for our guests!" She declared while hanging off the chaos being, free hoof pointed out to declare it proudly. With that, she dismounted then brushed herself off, straightening out her dress and adjusting her crown of flowers with her feathers, "Oh! Also you should ask before climbing upon Discord. It's only polite!" She leaned in close, getting on her tippy hooves and with a leg sticking out for balance to whisper to Bevel, "He is old too, don't want to accidentally break something." As she turned back to the crowd she made way for the crowed that was gathering around her husband to be. She pranced on down, making sure to make a stop for her ol' crimson comrade. "Thank you for making time. I know there were a lot of weddings at once, but, that's just how it is sometimes." She stood wing to wing with Fire and gave her a nuzzle on the neck, then continued on her way as to not distract the mare too much. With some of the chancellorship's students present, Dunnie stood between them and draped her wings over them both in a feathery embrace. "Ah, yes. It's very good to finally meet some of Bluey's beloved students." She said softly. "Just be sure to make some time for the merriment! Balancing work and play, and all of that." She chuckled lightly, "The food and drinks are free!" then would give a well needed warning to the younger creatures "Just be careful not to drink too much, you'll get yourself siiickkk!" Of course she wouldn't want that! Not at her wedding. She did also overhear the name of the unicorn she had helped in, and was sure to give a smile and a wing-wave to the stallion.
  8. The air inside the brides' room was thick with nervousness. Mostly from Dunnie. She sat at the vanity mirror hanging on the pale purple of the crystal wall behind it. She was usually an easy going mare, taking like as it came. But now life was here looking the pegasus in the face and Dunnie was sitting in a room, mulling over all the things that could go wrong. With a heavy sigh, she turned to Star, "I'm heading out to the wedding." She slipped up out of her seat and got to her hooves. With her wings, she smoothed out her dress. "I'm sure it's not as bad as my nerves think, right? Even in this crazy town?" She trotted over to the door, the sunlight outside peeking in. "And it's not just because you ate half my chocolates." She clarified with a grin to her fiance and then slipped outside, closing the door behind her. "But there's more food out here, including chocolates." She adjusted her flower crown and took off into the air, circumventing the castle to fly to the front door. Off to the horizon, she could see the silhouette of a Sphinx. Was that Nil? Talking to Spoiled Rich? She must have run her mouth, Dunnie thought, got upset and now Nil is setting her straight. Away from the crowd to not embarrass her. Dunnie grinned at the thought and landed heavily on the dirt in front of the golden steps. She brushed herself off again and made her way up the steps, like any other guest. But there seemed to be an issue. She saw the guard accosting some unicorn. Actually, was that Shining Armor? No, this stallion was too skinny. Dunnie hurried up the stairs and having caught some of the conversation she interjected. "Come, now." She said as she slid up, side by side with the guard, "The invitations are just a formality, they aren't actually needed for entry." She explained. True or not, she gave no room for the guard to interject as she beckoned the stallion inside. "Get some food and drinks, and have fun!" She instructed the stallion. Even before turning to face the room, she could feel the energy in the air as ponies were about chatting, socializing. She grinned wide as she soaked in the scene though her eyes set on the group just ahead of her. "Fire! Bevel!" Two mares she could recognize easily, "Swift, Presy, Bluey!" Who were huddled up together. She trotted up to the group up behind the other two who caught her eye instantly, "Fluttershy and Noodle, too!" She smiled at them both and gave Discord a hoof-bump on his single cloven hoof. "I'm glad to see all of you here, it means a lot to me!" She trotted over to to her stallion, giving him a kiss on the cheek and then gave him a loving look, "Means a lot to us both." She was sure when she said it. But now looking off to the side, she could see another pony she hadn't seen for a long while. Magenta coat, and clad in that distinct garb. But she was talking to another pony, and wouldn't want to interrupt, lest she get punished to do pushups!
  9. All I've heard of the new movies is that they want to dive deeper into the lore of Equestria. Which I think is super cool
  10. I'll take your entire stock
  11. Cemmoyāhua grinned as she was complimented. Though, only for a moment. She went back to watching the mare work, not wanting to be taken off guard. As she saw the mixture with the white fluid not work, her eyes went wide. That definitely didn't look good. "Was that alum and water?" She asked, looking to Rose. The crimson mare herself knew that there were many white crystals that could be dissolved in water. Cemmoyāhua floated the note over and opened t between herself and Norton so they could both see. She looked at the writing once and remembered quickly that reading non-type face Equestrian was difficult. She looked over to Norton who gave his harrowing opinion of the concotion. To it, Cemmoyahua nodded. "Yes, this flaw is too critical and simple to make." She said, "We cannot rely on it in the long term, and perhaps should only use it for emergencies." After her own two bits she looked to Rose. "What about it? Can you configure it to not be so potential dangerous?"
  12. The mare looked to the other for a moment, then cast her gaze down to bottle as Rose performed the experiment. She did notice the shift in color of the soil, and her eyes went wide for a moment before resuming her previous expression. "Yes, the exotic resources here are interesting. They will be useful." She said, "Your technique is promising, if it works." She moved over to Norton who she stood next to. "Yes, keeping pests away would be useful. Increasing our food supply could help Griffonstone." She turned to face Rose once again. "Have you done this before? What do you know about it? Does it affect the food at all?"
  13. The crimson unicorn raised an eyebrow as she walked along Norton. Though, she couldn't say any protest as it was too late. She kept her posture straight, only taking a glancing look at Rose's hooves as she mentioned shaking them. She gave Rose a knowing nod, "We do not carry the same traditions as the Equestrians." She stated. She trotted past Rose, looking to the bottles, beakers, soil collected that were hauled in. Did she bring in all of this? She scrutinized a beaker before being spoken to. "Emperor Norton mentioned this." She said and turned to face Rose. "Speak and I will hear you." She gave a neutral expression and gaze back to Rose. She wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth.
  14. Cemmoyāhua followed Norton, her jewelry of gold and silver inlaid with precious stones jingling lightly with each step. She had a worried look upon her face as she followed alongside Norton, "Are you sure? This pony could be a spy for Ridge." She said, just out of earshot of Rose. AS they trotted along, she saw the pony Norton had described. She appeared completely innocent, exactly what one would expect! She shifted to a neutral expression, trotting up to Rose as she sized her up from close. "Greeting. I am Cemmoyāhua Tletl, representative of my city of Tenochtitlan." She also spoke very formally, professionally. Though she did have a distinct accent.
  15. Dunnie's face was serious as she listened intently. Fire knew more about this than her, certainly, so anything she had to say was of value and Dunnie always trusted her ol' crimson coated comrade. She nodded along, listening and absorbing every word intently. "Or we could be the pony equivalent of this world!" She stated with confidence, finger sticking up in the air to punctuate her point. "There could be dragons or griffons about, we should keep our eyes out still." She only kept her voice down a little, more concerned immediately with sorting out what was going on. "Grabbed by a zappy hand?" Dunnie asked, "Well, what if that monster had those hands? Could be a spell." She lowered her voice some, eyeing the aquamarine woman. Though, she seemed docile now. Could it be an effect of the mirror? Curious. "Oh! Bevel!" She turned around and spotted Bevel who just fell over on the ground. At least she looked like Bevel, the same way that Fire looked like Fire. And the fall seemed to be at least somewhat cushioned. With the urgency of dealing with a threat waning somewhat, Dunnie relaxed some. After turning to help Bevel, Dunnie leaned forward, arms outstretched toward the ground to resume her normal pony stance, which she was unaware she had departed from. When she hit the ground, she immediately flopped onto her side, "Ow! What in the---?" She looked to where her forelegs should be, "Agh! What are these?!" She shouted then suspiciously did not start to ascend into the air. "What?" She looked to her back as best she could, rolling over as she struggled to. "My wings are gone!" Half in disbelief and half in panic. Her head snapped to Fire, "Your wings are gone too!" Then down to Bevel, "And your horn! What is up with this?!" She instantly crossed her arms over her eyes, rolling onto her back, utterly defeated. Of course, her shouting was not conducive to staying incognito and Dunnie's upset state was drawing a lot of curious gazes.
  16. Dunnie felt she was being pulled through a whirlpool. Eyes closed and mouth shut as she drifted, but only for a moment. As soon as she had been sucked in, she was spat out onto the hard ground. Though, this was not the cold castle tile floor, it was a lot more rough. But Dunnie, sprawled out on the floor, didn't notice this right away. She was still out for blood! She was still looking for whatever snatched up Fire, and the first unfamiliar thing she was was standing tall like a dragon. Dunnie scrambled to her feet, not realizing how strange that was as her mind was focused on getting the upper hand on this unknown mirror creature as it was turned around. But her surprise attack halted as she saw that braid of rust red hair and heard that familiar voice. Dunnie's gaze softened instantly, "Fire...?" She asked softly. As her tunnel vision lessened, she saw the cyan haired creature that Fire was shouting at, "Was that the monster that took you?!" She was ready for a fight again, body squaring up as she prepared to take a step toward her quarry.
  17. "Yeah, there are publishers. But then anypony could be their own publisher, then! Extra convenience. Libraries can still be around, it'll just be easier to spread the information." Dunnie resisted the urge to suggest that each libraries could be connected by pipes. Then the whole apparatus could be a 'series of tubes.' She thought of it as they continued onto the next room. She listened to Fire explain the filly who nearly choked on a cookie. "Yes, that's a good reason to not have food at that table." She shivered at the thought, "Did you help her? Or were you not around?" Of course, no assumption that Fire would stand idly by. "Also the cutie mark crusaders? I thought they were all earth ponies." Dunnie already had her cutie mark and didn't spend much time in Ponyville. When they entered the room, Dunnie's eyes went wide, "Whoooaaah!" She said as Fire opened the door "So cool! A mirror!" She said with a big grin, "Though does this count as a room? I think it's a storage closet." Though, When Fire seemed alerted by what she found on the other side of the door, Dunnie's wing fluffed up and she looked to the strange piece of furniture. "W-what?" She asked, looking up at it. "How'd it get here, then?" Suddenly, the thought crossed her mind that the mirror moved on its own. Fire knew what it was, and it seemed very important. Possibly magical in this already magical place. Fire seemed wary of this discovery, and Dunnie was trusting of her crimson friend's judgement! "Alright, let's go." She turned to the side, away from the mirror and toward they way they came. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Fire's red coat suddenly disappear after letting out a sound of surprise. Instantly, Dunnie whipped back around to where the guard once was! "Fire?!" She called out, "FIRE?!" A part of Dunnie's brain suddenly unlocked. The overwhelming urge to make sure that Fire, her comrade in arms, was alright. Just like in their adventuring days. "Stay here, Bevel, unless I call for help." Dunnie's face suddenly became very serious, sharpening into a scowl as she prepared for facing any danger that may have snatched up Fire. The pegasus slid up to the mirror, checking left to right to up for any hidden creature that could have Fire hostage. However, while checking her corners, Dunnie made the error of assuming that the mirror was a solid surface. As she leaned against the mirror, to continue her path of checking the room, she was suddenly finding herself falling into the mirror! "Agh! Bevel!" Dunnie held a hoof out, but physics weren't on her side and her wings were useless to save her as her back slipped through the silver surface. That was the last thing she said before her whole body fell through.
  18. Dunder was more than glad to give Fire a hug, and he even nuzzled against her cheek. The hug broke some and he looked down into her eyes. "Oh..." He said in response to Fire explaining that the Twilight Guard dissolved. His eyes drifted off to the side, away from the bad news. "Oh?" Dunder smiled, wings fluffing up at that. He looked back into her red pupils. The brown pegasus was gonna guess that she was going to get her appendix removed so she could take on more extreme missions in the REA. But then she went on to explain what she really meant, something much more serious! "OH?!" Dunder's right wing flared out in surprise when she said she was going to have a foal. His face flushed red at the news, what were you supposed to say when you got told that news? So many things were happening nonstop! When Fire told Dunder not to worry, his other wing shot up "Huh? Wha?!" Until he was told it was about the cake, "Oh, heh, yeah...." He scratched the back of his head, "Cake! Still, that means we can just get more than one piece, right?" He looked down to his crimson friend and smiled, "You should get double every time, since you're eating for two!" He said with a hint of awkwardness and chuckled softly. "Oh, yes!" She looked to Blueblood, "We are more than happy to help Princess Celestia with extra tricky situations." Nothing like a little espionage and unorthodox tactics! And with the perfect cover, a pompous diplomat and her casual guard. When Discord dropped in next to the trio, she looked up to him, "Oh, noodle!" She smiled, "It's good to see you, too!" She nudged her elbow against the draconeqqus' bird arm. "Not causing too much trouble, are you?"
  19. Cemmoyāhua sat beside Norton, as it was the polite thing to do. Though, she couldn't just relax as it seemed Norton was doing. She put her elbows on the table, resting her head on her hooves as she concentrated on what the next move will be. Ridge wasn't taking this, that was known. But what can he do, other than try to get Equestria involved? She rubbed her chin as she concentrated, but when she was addressed, she looked to Norton. "Good. Your base will need to be as loyal as you." She sighed hard and scratched her chin again, "Equestria shouldn't do much, then. I suppose all we can do is wait." Wait and ponder, which is what she did. Her entourage continued to distribute the 'gifts' from Tenochtitlan until they ran out. At which point, the Tenochtitlan ponies mostly stuck to themselves, with few venturing out to get food and drinks provided by the now gone dragon.
  20. Cemmoyāhua did not think to offer Ridge a response, other than a respectful bow in return. Afterall, he didn't really respond to her and this conflict was mostly between him and Norton anyhow. Now, he was leaving and she didn't want to provoke him further. He was clearly angered by how the night had transpired. She looked to Norton and lowered her voice, "I spoke a lot of talk back there." Her accent became heavier, concentration on her voice waning. "I hope you should let your Griffons know to give you support. They will be the stone which you land on." She gave him a somewhat concerned look, then sighed out heavily. "And we have to anticipate the next move, Ridge will do something." She hoped she was doing the right thing. That she was going about getting what she wanted in the end for the griffons or Griffonstone.
  21. The crimson unicorn looked to the dragon as he spoke. Her glower was unrelenting, even has he explained to her that there was no 'Emperor of Griffinstone.' Merely, griffons humoring Norton. When the dragon finished speaking, her unchanged gaze shifted briefly to Norton as she gathered her thoughts. The warnings of a smooth-scaled, smooth-talking dragon were not underplayed. Fortunately, her knowledge of the common tongue was strong enough to grasp this poison hidden in his words as well as understand his offer and argument. "Worry not, your pronunciation is more than adequate." She relaxed her expression, closing her eyes as she formulated her own formal voice and translated them. "I have been tasked with securing a source of gems for our city. That is what my city has asked of me." She opened her eyes and set her gaze back upon the dragon, a much more relaxed, neutral one. "I have no doubt you would match Norton's promise of gems for the cooperation of our city." She continued, then paused briefly. "I apologize, my Equestrian tongue is not flexed often. I assume you did not make the mistake..." She let the word hang for a second, marked with a rise in her volume, "That our tlatoani and our pilitin would be so easily duped, tricked into an agreement with a 'squaking griffon' as you put it." She turned and began to trot out toward her guards. "Our ancestors survived without home in the jungle. Now we thrive in our expansive city, Tenochtitlan, we call our home. We had to build it with our own hooves, magic! We had to farm our own fruit, hunt our own game, search for own own jade and gold." She trotted out toward the griffons, looking them in the eye, looking at the buildings behind them. Squalor, decrepit structures, sorrow as far as the eye could see. "These griffons are lucky, a city build atop a gem mine. And the means to extract it provided by a dragon, a perfect recipe for prosperity." She grimaced, her horn started to heat, smoulder. "Yet, I see no trace of it." She turned back to Ridge, gaze back to a hardened glare as she stared down the dragon. "Norton swore his pact in blood. He swore to help his griffons out of poverty, and to trade us gems for incentive. He knows if he cannot deliver to my emperor, he and his closest conspirators will be fed to the sun!" She stamped her hoof to the ground, while her eyes locked with Ridge's. "I am in no interest in entering such an agreement with you, for you have already failed." She trotted up to Norton, to stand by his side. "Maybe what Griffonstone needs is an emperor! An emperor of the griffons here!" Her horn's smouldering ceased as she took out a hard breathe, "I speak on behalf of my tlatoani, and the tlatoani's decree is no trifling matter. I will uphold the agreement made with Norton."
  22. Norton wanted to have his grand entrance, and Cemmoyāhua was more than happy to oblige. He had bought the furs, jewelry, and plumes with his own gold that he so ready shed to his fellow griffons as an expression of good faith. Indeed, that was his task to perform to a great reception from the crowd. She had seen insincerity before, and to her, the 'emperor' really did want to help the griffons of Griffonstone. Besides Norton's concern for his fellow cat-bird, this arrangement was a tenuous one for those ponies of the Tenochtitlan basin. A serious risk to the ponies involved if this agreement between cities did not pay off, with payment in both reputation and status or maybe worse. As well, vultures would be circling overhead, waiting to pick apart the whole deal if it fell apart. Norton's entrance into Tenochtitlan was not unnoticed. With the basin being so insular from the hostile terrain surrounding it, it was the first time many inhabitants had seen a griffon. Of course, they were still welcoming, but his presence had garnered a mixed response. Distrust as well as hopefulness from all strata of society. And his proposal for trade with his impoverished city of Griffonstone was received as a misguided hope as best by those in power in the city. Why would any trader bother to make their way there, risking life and goods in an expensive expedition? That was until Norton had brought up knowledge of gems in the mountains of his city, which changed the tone of Tenochtitlan's own Emperor. The emissary was, however, on board with Norton. Monetary gain was nice, but many in her city already had comfortable live brought out through hard work. She wanted the griffons of Griffonstone to enjoy a life out of poverty, and Norton, she felt, would help them. So, she was tasked with making this agreement pay off for her fellow nobles who wanted to collect more taxes as well as the traders who were eager to establish a new market. After his grand entrance and small exchange with the dragon, she made her way through the gates as well. A hastily organized and rather small caravan of goods from Tenochtitlan. Though, an outside observer wouldn't be able to tell. Especially the birds of Griffonstone. Cemmoyāhua would head the group of ponies. She was clad in her deep blue cape, and a small diadem made of a single piece of blue stone. She was followed by a group of ponies, about 50 in number. Inside of the ovular formation were ponies either naked or clad in white or other dull colored capes. Each had saddlebags, large, almost bursting on their backs they were stuffed. And marking the perimeter were guards, each with clubs or wooden swords or spears embedded with sharpened obsidian. Each guard had a vibrant headdress and cape of bright colors and fine necklaces and bands. Of course, these would draw their own attention from the crowd. A wanting gaze, curious as to what could these ponies could be carrying. The armed ponies were doing their job, of keeping watch on the crowd, but were outwardly not on a heightened state of guarding. This dragon, though, was going to be a pain in the neck. She could tell from it all that they knew each other, and were looking to one up each other for the crowd. Norton was on the offensive, and she was looking to keep it that way. She looked to the crowd and waved to them, "Xitlacuacan! Our gifts to you!" She called out, then gave the signal to the ponies. Some of the ponies in the center began to take their bags off their backs and got to unpacking. Soon, they began offering out whole ears of sweetcorn, and fresh squash to the crowd. As well, whole chunks of brown, sweet smelling substance. Chocolate. She looked to Norton, expectantly. She knew it wasn't much from her city, but would hopefully strike a chord with the griffons there.
  23. "Oh! Really?" Dunnie returned the embrace with a nuzzle into Bevel's cheek. "Well, I know I'm pretty cool. And of course, my ideas wouldn't matter if you weren't here to make it a reality." And of course, the fuzzy little Fancy pony was fun to be around! "Oh, Fire, don't be so doom and gloom about it." She insisted, then trotted up next to the guard. "These books could be bound and distributed to libraries and stuff. Isn't that the point of writing? To spread the knowledge around?" I mean, why would one write a book if they didn't want it to be read, seemed silly to the mare. "Or authors could make copies themselves, you know? It's a good idea." She insisted. She looked over to Bevel, not surprised the pony had zoomed across the room as silent as a ghost. She looked back to Fire, frowning a bit, disappointment, "Aw, really?" Her wings and ears drooped some, apparently this tour was bound to be mundane. "Oh, well. That would have been exciting. But if that's how it's meant to be... Oh! Have you met them all? Standing intimidating while protecting the Elements of Harmony?" She grinned to Fire. "Next room? I'm ready. This table is just a table when you get past the lights. Or maybe you could play a game on it." It was a map after all. What was that friendship ruining game? Actually that probably wasn't a good idea in this palace. The mare looked back over to the Fancy brown mare, "Bevel! We're moving onto the next room!" She called out, "You don't have to come along, but don't be bummed if you miss something cooool."
  24. 'Cemmy' as she was known be being called by the Equestrian, was clueless to the words' meanings. "Any Equestrian that's simple enough, I can read. I will like." She said, though she knew that the conversation thread should be cut soon. The room for superfluous conversation was getting thin, as they were getting closer to danger directly. The mare was lifted up by the pegasus with some efforts. Though, the overzealous pony seemed to lift her up too high too quickly, and the pyromancer kicked her hind legs, "Too quick!" She begged, pleading above the boxes of the warehouse. Part of the fun was Pathfinder's excitability. And her little humming song was no exception, but now it only caused her comrade panic as they had flown too high in the warehouse.
  25. "Oh, crabapples!" Dunder crested over the hill to the venue: Sweet Apple Acres. The venue hosting the wedding, which the sudden cheering let him know he was woefully late. "Darnit! I guess Bluey was right." There simply wasn't enough time to get his red suit dry cleaned. And stopping for an appetizer of a double-hayburger combo didn't help his punctuality either. Fortunately for him, the crowd was breaking from their seats and forming an amorphous crowd, providing the perfect opportunity to slip in. He descended low and landed, transitioning his flight momentum to a casual trot and whistled innocently while joining the crowd. "Seamless." He complimented himself while running a wing through his fluffy, fuzzy mane to flatten and straighten it out from the frazzling done by flight. He scanned the crowd for red, red of the dress that matched his suit. A dress worm by a white unicorn mare. At least, she should be a mare. His almond-shaped eyes opened as much as they could and his muzzle cracked into a grin as he spotted not only the red dress, but a red mare. He quickly trotted up. "Fire! Bluey!" He approached from behind the crimson mare, then pulled her into a tight hug with a wing and foreleg both. He pulled her head in close and nuzzled her neck as hard as his embrace was tight. "It's great to see you here! Unexpected, but welcome. Well..." He trailed off, still hugging her, getting lost in all the words he had to say, "I guess it makes sense, with you being Twilight's new guard and all. And with her officiating the wedding. At least, that's what Bluebelle told me." He explained, his foreleg moving down and off of her, and his wing letting her go as he looked to Bluebelle, "And I guess you were right!" He grinned apologetically to the mare, "No need to remind me. Now or later. Oh!" His ears perked up and he lifted himself, rearing up to peek before slamming back down. "They're cutting the cake! We should go before everypony else steals all the good slices." He rubbed his hooves together excited, "And we can get carbed up for the 'good stuff.'" The good stuff. The bubbly cider, and other fun drinks made with or without apples. Of course, he didn't notice the stained cheeks of Fire, or any concern on Bluebelle's face. As they would both know, something that he'd miss anyway even without all the extra stimulation grabbing his attention.
