  1. Onyx was a little nonplussed to be the center of Allegro's full attention, but she rallied as best she could. The unicorns of Bridlewood had been no stranger to bouts of extreme negative emotion, and already a strong line of understanding therapists were filtering out into the earth pony and pegasi communities. She herself wasn't so highly trained, but she knew a panic attack when she saw one. "Breathe, deep, slow... Don't worry...." She moved to brace his back, looking up at Sugar. "You have some earplugs? I know we would want them if we were standing close to the... what do you call them, amplifiers?" It was a measure of her concern that she wasn't rhyming right now. Once the stallion was in a less anxious state of mind, Onyx would step back, looking apologetically up at Jazz. "Thank you for the kindness you do not lack; and I'm sorry that we'll be likely standing in the back."
  2. Onyx was as new to the world of metal as... well, pretty much anypony, seeing as the style was pretty new. "It is a hybrid come into the world, boldly it marches with banners unfurled. But when hybrids go off to the races, they're not always greeted by smiling faces." The unicorn didn't know about Allegro's parentage, of course, referring only to the style and why it might grate upon unfamiliar ears. If anything, she was probably the most sympathetic of all mares present to his plight, and was willing to sacrifice a place in line to talk a little more with him. "The festival is at least all day, and then perhaps another. I doubt you'll find it quite as quick as the great swimmer, your mother." Wow, were her rhymes on fire today!
  3. Onyx blushed a bit alongside Sugar, but managed a retort to Jazz, "You are right, though you may titter; but why is there no edible glitter?" It would certainly make cleaning it up easier, since if was made edible, it would also be water-soluble. Not that Onyx minded her treehouse getting a more sparkly redecoration since Sugar moved in, but still, you did have to clean that stuff up eventually, since it would get everywhere. Following Sugar's lead down to the beach, the trio of mares would eventually encounter the distressed-looking Allegro. Seeing him anxious in the midst of joy did strike a pang of empathy in her heart, coming out in another couplet. "The same songs as us he hears, but it is not music to all ears."
  4. Sky Sailing was, of course, accompanying his wife on this vacation trip, which was honestly a much-needed one for the both of them. Big city life was not something that the teal pegasus had ever really gotten used to, always more comfortable spending time at home either in his studio or with his family than going out on the town. But the Crystal Empire, for all its grandiose name and sparkling architecture, had something closer to a small-town vibe than one would expect. It may well have to do with its culture being considerably more rural than Los Pegasus, or other major Equestrian cities. "I hope you'll forgive me if I get a little too professional on our little getaway." He remarked to Windy as they both exited the station. "But crystals like these are kind of essential to my synth music, so I might be doing some shopping to take some high-quality ones home for upgrades." The sudden advancements in magitek that had been made possible by the Empire's return could not be understated, as magic-holding and spell-storing crystals were cultivated here at a level of quality absolutely unparalleled in the world.
  5. Smiling, Blueblood had opened the door to the room upstairs, going ahead to kiss Dunnie's muzzle as she peeked her way around the door. "Oh, I hope I didn't wake you. Icy was visiting because we had to discuss a matter of state, but I felt that she shouldn't go before she got a chance to be introduced to little Pax. And see you again, too." Dunnie had opted for c-section, on the not-unreasonable grounds that a cut healed better than a tear. That did mean her recovery was a little extended, and Blue hoped he hadn't prompted her to overexert herself.
  6. Learning that Jazz was an old friend of Sugar's let Onyx be a little more at her ease, and she put out a hoof for the other mare to shake. "So you're the mare I have to thank for waking up with glitter on my tongue?" Her tone was mock-serious, but her eyes were sparkling like her marefriend's mane with humor. "I shall thank you all the more for lodging after all the songs are sung." Rhymes were to her second nature, and it always filled her with a little pleasure when she could set her life to the meter of her poetry. As buoyed as her mood was, the years of her life spent as Gloomy Sonnet had done much to increase her sensitivity to negative emotions. And in the midst of this celebratory festival, there came to her extra-aetheric senses the discordant note of distress. She frowned suddenly, looking around the town and bay for the source. "Is there something quite the matter... with that stallion in the water?" She pointed out into the bay, where Allegro was treading water, and appearing to not enjoy the show in the least!
  7. Ambrosia was going into this conversation almost certain she'd come out of it with a new friend. Mostly this came from the unspoiled innocence of a young filly, though being raised as the child of two of the Elements of Harmony would have something to do with it! Anyway, she was sure that the two of them had things in common they could bond over, like how cute their horns were and how stinky colts could be sometimes. "Thank you! Yours is too!" If there was any latent hostility coming from High Bar, Amby seemed utterly oblivious to it as she trotted up to the edge of the ball pit. She giggled a bit, watching Zappers flounder in the balls. "Is your momma here? Mine's right over there!" She pointed at Applejack over at the table, before looking around the restaurant to see if she could spy the family of her new friend-to-be!
  8. Yawning and stretching out, just as a couple of butterflies landed on each ear, Ambrosia gazed up at Twilight, not with the starry-eyed worship of a little filly seeing a Princess, nor even that of a faithful student to a trusted mentor, but the honest love of a little foal for a mare she thought of as family. "Yes, this was the best tea party ever, Auntie Twilight!" Her mother would have to come up soon, and put her to bed. Little Amby's dreams would be filled with pink, pansies, and puffy dresses, all in a general atmosphere of free and sparkling magic. The world was still a place like that for her, and it was a world which Twilight had helped to make, and was responsible for guarding. Perhaps it was not just one set of indelible memories made today...
  9. The last time she was in Maretime Bay, Onyx hadn't seen much of it. Although, in one sense, it was worth asking if Onyx had ever been to Maretime Bay in the first place; since the mare now going by that name had used another when she first arrived as a much sadder and lonelier pony than she was now. The change that had come over her ever since she had met Sugar Moonlight was so remarkable that Sunny Starshine could well use her as the poster mare for friendship, with nicely-framed "before" and "after" shots. Whether or not the uniter of tribes had a photo booth reserved for her, the poet-formerly-known-as Gloomy Sonnet was looking forward to this music festival. With a full range of emotions now able to power her own work from within, she was ready to take on some external inspiration, maybe even get a chance to sneak backstage and talk shop with some of the lyricists. Add to that spending time with the most wonderful Marefriend a pony could ask for, and this had all the makings of a perfect vacation! Sugar had expressed curiosity as to why the new genre was called metal, and Onyx had a few thoughts to say on the matter: "Lyrics cast in iron bars, Steel strings strapped on rock guitars- HEY!" The unicorn was a bit put out at the interruption, first because she wasn't a fan of Sugar getting knocked down, and second because her extempore poem had been interrupted. She was quite proud of the 'iron bars' wordplay, for something thought up on the spot! Supporting Sugar's head with her hooves, she looked up at the... oddly attired mare with some curiosity. "A friend of yours? I seem to recall the name of Jazz, but I can't put much to it."
  10. I took the liberty of fixing up the grammar in the highlighted areas. If you're alright with the changes, let me know. Please keep in mind, that if you do not pay attention grammar in your posts, a lot of folks will not want to play with you.

  12. Okay, a few points before this is RP-Ready. Just so you know, the Roleplay type is there to indicate whether this character is meant for World of Equestria (Friendship is Magic G4 show setting), A New Generation (G5 show setting), or Free-for-All (Any setting). Given that changelings don't normally have cutie marks, I'm assuming that mark is for her disguised form? Which sort of pony is her favorite disguise? That can go under unique traits. (Kindess is not really unique: it's Equestria! Most folks are kind around here) The history could be expanded and cleaned up. Where were her parents? Did she and her brother move after they passed? Why did her brother leave? What is the closest city/town to the cave she lives in? Also, please use some proper sentence punctuation; a lot of folks prefer their RP partners to have good grammar.
  13. "Yes!" Ambrosia cheered at the sight of the magically conjured tray of treats, proceeding to give the most polite version imaginable of the stereotypical foal with an appetite going to town on a table. A Princess in the making Ambrosia might be, but Applejack's daughter she certainly was. "This is gweat!" She said, after swallowing down a bite of cake, licking frosting from her lips. The two of them supped and sipped together, framed by butterflies. All good things, though, must come to an end, as bellies fill and teapots empty. Ambrosia would lean back in her chair with a satisfied sigh, smiling up at Twilight through tired eyes. It was naptime soon for the little filly, but today had been a day that she would carry for the rest of her life as a treasured memory.
  14. Shining was absolutely delighted to see the two young ones in the store warm up to Flurry Heart. Being a Princess gave one a lot of advantages in life, but it did mean a dearth of ponies available for playdates and such. He and Cady honestly worried sometimes about how much socialization she would actually get outside of the family and castle, so her making friends on vacation was a good thing to see. As he waited for the candy corn, he took in some itinerary suggestions from Golden Bit. "I believe we already have reservation at the Fire and Ice; Ice Storm is a friend of the Crystal Empire, just based on the work she's put in defense of us." He didn't want to talk too much on that subject, given that this was supposed to be a happy time. "I will make sure to get tickets to Wind Dancer's show, though! Hm, and perhaps the one Mizuki's family will be putting on too- oh, thank you!" He accepted the corn, popping a kernel into his mouth, savoring the sweetness. "Mmm, delicious! What do you think, Flurry? It's good, isn't it?" Looking down at his daughter, he noticed River Wisp back off to take his leave. He gave a little nudge to Flurry, prompting her to either say goodbye, or offer a future visit. If she wanted to make friends, she'd have to step out herself, and not rely on her parents to make them for her.
  15. "That's the spirit." Bluebelle said in a voice of quiet encouragement, pretty certain upon hearing it that she knew exactly what was going to be Ice Storm's destiny. Humility was the final test of whether the Princesses granted ascension, one not every candidate passed (e.g. Sunset Shimmer). It wasn't that Bluebelle wasn't happy for her friend, but she couldn't help but feel in some way that she was falling behind, and she didn't like thinking in that way. Shaking her funk off of her, Blue decided that she could at least show off one way in which she was ahead. "Oh, to change the subject, I don't think you've seen my new foal, have you? He's being watched by Dunnie right now, but I can take you up to them! Little Pax is just so wonderful!" Glowing with the enthusiasm of a new parent, she hardly waited for assent before getting up to lead the way into the manor, excitedly prancing up the stairs. "Dunnie, Dear! We have a visitor!"
  16. It took a moment for Ice to realize what Bluebelle was getting at; it was amusing in some way for the Princess to watch it dawn on her. "You're doing what almost everypony thinks they would do in your position, given power, resources, and influence. Most prove to incompetent to use them well, or fall to some temptation along the way. Or else end up preferring the safe to the heroic. And as you just said, you were only one or two bad decisions away from falling yourself. I don't presume lightly upon the intentions of my aunties, but it has rather occurred to me that, as Equestria was founded as a Diarchy, and functions best as one, it didn't make much sense to have Twilight rule alone after they retired." There was, if Icy cared to listen for it, just the faintest note of envy in Bluebelle's voice. She couldn't help it, even after all these years.
  17. Ah, right. That... little issue. Bluebelle could quite understand the desire to avoid complications in that respect. "Quite, quite. Although, I must say, I'm not sure if pregnancy would have any less an effect, just based on all testimonies and observation. But, I'm no medical pony. In any case, I do hope to see your own herd with some little ones soon; it would be nice for Pax to have playmates his own age among family friends, you know?" There was a slight strain of pleading in her voice, that of a mother wishing to provide her foal advantages she herself had not enjoyed. Listening to Icy recount her potential villain origin story, and what ultimately disrupted it, Bluebelle couldn't help but reflect on what parts of it she herself had observed. Star Crusader, her other mate, had served with her together in the brief period of time that Icy was a part of EPIC, before she branched off to create STAR. She too had left, though more to serve domestically without being taken so far and so long away from her new family. As far as the Princess knew, that left EPIC either defunct, or just Twilight's personal Black Ops team, just as STAR was closely associated with Luna. It seemed redundant, but perhaps having some redundancy was key to resilience. Blue was just grateful that other mares more competent in that area than her were handling it. "I knew you were close with Auntie, but I hadn't known it was that close, hm." She mused, draining her cup again, not refilling it this time. "If... I may ask, that sort of close mentorship is the sort of thing that makes one an... ascension candidate. Has anything of the sort been mentioned to you?"
  18. Ambrosia was about at that age where asking her favorite treat would be like asking a parent about their favorite foal. Not that she herself had any doubt that she was Applejack's favorite, she knew by instinct that insisting on that fact would make home life considerably more awkward and unpleasant. Anyway, Zappers was clearly Rainbow Dash's favorite, so it all balanced out in the end! But back to the matter of food, she had no preferences. She was the sort of filly who'd happily munch anything her mama put in front of her (provided it wasn't too messy!) She'd even grow up to be the sort of mare who would unironically like the taste of whole grains and grass. "All of them!" She replied to Twilight with enthusiasm, and indeed she would delicately but thoroughly sample all the little delectables provided. "What's your favorite, Princess?" Amby asked, genuinely curious as to what a Princess like Twilight Sparkle enjoyed. While they all might be her favorites, she might try to like the ones that Princesses liked more.
  19. Hello! Friendly neighborhood admin here, let's take a look at this app. I notice you double posted it; I've taken the liberty of archiving the other one. We ask that each application be titled with the name of the character, just to make it easier for other folks to look up! I can edit it for you if you don't know how. What age is Renesmee? The story seems to focus on her fillyhood, is she a young pony? Where is she staying? Ponyville, or another place in Equestria? World of Equestria tends to be more of a tighter moderated setting (as opposed to the Free For All Boards here: https://www.canterlot.com/forum/427-free-for-all-roleplay/). So, there's some things in the background that I'm going to need cleared up. Right now, only alicorns are able to actually move/manipulate celestial bodies like stars, the sun, and moon. Is the story depicted a dream? Because if its not, it will need some adjusting to play in WoE (though you can go to the Free for All boards right now if you want!)
  20. "Mmm, yes... pregnancy is not a good time to be the test subject of medical experiments." Bluebelle nodded in agreement. "And, as far as my curse goes... I mean, technically you'd only need the transformation to be valid for one night, since you're all mares. That means that using alchemical potions is pretty riskless, actually, as you don't have to maintain integrity of the transformation for a full 11 months. I do have a supplier, if you're interested... and even contacts for the more permanent means of gender-swapping. I mean, as I'm sure you're well aware, Dunnie wasn't born a stallion." Indeed, given that Ice Storm was an ex of Dunder back in the day, she would know that quite well. Perhaps it was for the best that she was currently busy upstairs with the baby. "None of us need help going insane, if we ever decide to do so we could do a bang-up job of it all on our own!" Bluebelle chuckled. "Can I just ask... did you ever entertain villain fantasies? I'll admit I did, in some of my darker times. They never amounted to much, though. Basically getting my hooves on some artifact like the Alicorn Amulet and forcing all the peasants to bow to me. I really didn't have any other plans beyond that; all I wanted was respect, and, well, I think I've actually earned that legitimately now."
  21. "To Fweinship!" Ambrosia was usually pretty good with her enunciations, but her innate adorableness gave her an instinct for when mispronouncements would be cuter. The old 'w for r' trick never failed to get a 'D'aww' from adults when properly deployed. For all the fantastical talk of her becoming a Princess when she grew up, being able to maneuver to catch the best possible reactions would serve her well if she ever decided to go into diplomacy or public relations... As for the tea? Delicious. Apple-cinnamon-maple was a combination of everything sweet and country and homey and good, and honestly could be marketed as a flavor in and of itself. There had been talks of whether flavor additives were heresy or not when it came to apple cider, but bottled teas were less sacrosanct in the Apple Clan's eyes, and there was a market opportunity there that Twilight might well want to take up with AJ...
  22. Ambrosia winced at the sharp sound of the whistle. Her young ears were still sensitive, able to hear sounds of higher pitches than the more hardened eardrums of adults could pick up on. What's more, it had been a pretty magically taxing day, and it was beginning to show on her face. But if she let on that she was tired, Twilight might cancel their tea party and make her take a nap! That couldn't happen, not yet... "I'm good!" She said, smiling as best she could as she rubbed her temples.
