Personality: Split is cold, and tends to keep ponies at hoof’s length, the only exception to that rule being Ajax whom she is quite fond of, and often reliant upon. She will speak her mind often, and it will usually be sarcasm or light insults to the weakness of another pony. Despite all this she has a soft spot for the down trodden, and a strong sense of right and wrong. Her morals dictate her actions, and unlike Ajax, who leaves everything to luck, every choice she makes weighs heavily on her. But she keeps on moving despite this because she truly believes she can help other ponies. She loves explosions, to the point of obsession, and will almost always insist on watching them, leading to a slightly poor eyesight. History: Not much is known about Split’s past, mostly because she never talks about it. She finds dwelling on the past unimportant and a waste of time. The most anyone could know was through asking Ajax about the time they met, when a quiet battle scarred wastelander showed up in Dise with the valuable platinum chip and a single objective. Kill Mr. House with a system destroying virus. But during the load up of the virus she was stopped by Ajax, and after a brief scuffle he quickly overpowered her and forced her back to the room she had been given for accepting to kill House. But Split had rigged a trap that shot Ajax with a syringe full of Med-X knocking him out for long enough for her to tie his up and explain her actions to him. About how House was taking money from the nearby towns, but then letting them starve or be set upon by raiders. She told him how no pony should be able to be a tyrant, and how what she wanted was for the betterment of the many, over the wants of the one. In his own way, Ajax accepted her ideals, and after their attempt to kill House failed a second time, the two fled Dise, with the intent of returning and finishing their job one day.
2. (For reference, invited by Cainiam) Name: Barricade Age group: Late twenties Gender: Male Race: Earth pony Mane colour and style: Barricade’s mane is dark blue, and cut short so that it won’t obscure his vision, the back part is a little longer and tied into a small ponytail. Coat colour: Bright orange Eye colour: Steel blue Any permanent accessories: A large scar runs up his shield leg, several adorn his torso and the tip of his right ear is missing. Cutie mark: A worn shield with an arrow embedded in it Talent: Barricade’s body is unusually sturdy, and can shrug off many forms of physical damage. He is also exceedingly loyal, willing to lay down his life for others in his party. Class: Warrior Specialization: Guardian Fighting Style: Barricade’s favorite weapon is a large metal round shield that has a long protruding spike in the middle that is almost constantly strapped to his leg, and never let out of his sight. He also carries a long sword with him, but his favorite method of fighting is charging the enemy, shield out front, and putting his entire weight behind the spike. As a guardian, he constantly tries to keep the enemies focus on himself, and will charge headlong into several armed enemies if it means those weaker than himself will be safer. History: Barricade had always been large, even since he was a young colt he was larger than everypony of a similar age. And by the time he had reached his middle teens, he dwarfed nearly everypony in the small farming village where he grew up. But he was quiet, and soft spoken, keeping to himself for fear that his large size would cause him to accidently hurt those smaller then himself. He worked hard at his parent’s farm for most of his young life, and his free time was spent with one of the village’s elder ponies, a mare that was bigger in build then even the strongest of farmers. Her name was Rampart, and she was a retired mercenary that had settled in the village to live the rest of her life in relative peace and calm. As a colt, Barricade would rush over to Rampart’s house after he had finished all his chores, and sit on her floor, listening eagerly to her recollections of her adventures throughout Equestria. As he grew older, and became lager in stature, Rampart offered to teach him some of the skills she had gained over the years, an offer which he readily accepted. The first lesson was how to use a shield, as was the next, and the one after, and so on. Eventually, Barricade questioned the old mercenary on the lesson, asking her when he could learn to use a sword. Rampart snorted, and told him that anypony could teach him how to use a sword, but she was teaching him something invaluable; how to keep himself and others alive. She taught him to use his size, not to worry about hurting the ponies he cared about, but using it to protect them. Upon reaching stallionhood, Barricade made a conscious decision that the farm life wasn’t for him, and he wanted to experience those tales of glory and adventure that Rampart had, for himself. So the next time a small trade caravan had come around to the village, he offered his services as a mercenary. That was the last time he saw his village, looking back over his shoulder, with Rampart’s old shield strapped to his leg, and excitement in his chest. Since that day, Barricade had been living a typical life for a mercenary;, guarding caravans, escorting the high class, and protecting stock. He’d made quite a name for himself, rumored to be unkillable, and unshakably loyal. Starting Location: Ostagar
3. (I guess I'm second for Cainiam's crew? Resident doctor of The Languid Sophisticate, ready to set sail.) Name: Patches Gender: Female Age: Young mare (17) but she acts much older. Species: Unicorn Looks: Patches is small, even for her age. Her mane and tail are long and light orange, meticulously combed to unusual straightness. Her mane falls to the left side, neatly over that eye and almost touches the ground, but in certain situations she will tie it up in a loose ponytail. Her coat is a deep blue colour. She usually wears a lab coat, except when completely off duty. Personality: Patches is a calm, intelligent and social mare. She loves to chat with the members of her ship, but also loves to spend time alone in her medical bay cleaning. Patches has OCD when it comes to clean and order in her workplace. She is also feels like she has something to prove among her crew due to her age. Despite her young age she shows some of the mental scars of being part of a crew. She is exceedingly paranoid of new ponies, and in general, constantly checking over her shoulder and re-checking her medical equipment. Cutie Mark: St. John’s Cross Random Fact: Patches is terrified of fully operational clockwork limbs. Your Ship: The Languid Sophisticate (See Cainiam's post for full ship detail.) Rank: Doctor Weapons/Fighting style: Patches has a small clockwork revolver that she uses mostly for self defense, a large cutlass, and she has a sharp scalpel concealed in her lab coat, and her hair tie could be used as a garrotte. Lifelong dream or general goal: Patches is simply on this ship to experience life, and have some fun. Plus it's a way to make a living. History: To be explored in the RP
4. Not mad, just saying what your character said makes no sense to anyone in the context of the world, so no one will know what you are talking about. And with such, anything to do with T.V. or similar media should not be brought up, or used as a comparison. Try and keep the RP realistic for the time, place, and technological level already described.
5. Fireraven, with the level of technology in our version of the world, there being no T.V. the movie Finding Nemo would not exist, just so you know.
6. If there are positions, we will go over both your friend's and your applications, check to see if everything is cool, and then give you the go ahead, however your friend, if he wants to play Rainbow Dash must play as his OC solo for a while, so we can decide if he can portray her character, while still keeping with the type of RP we want.
7. Sorry Nova, but this forum is closed for a reason, we are currently testing out the RP with our current nuber of applicants, and really don't know if we can handle any more, but thank you for showing interest, and we will let you know if positions come up.
8. Name: Psyche (Earth pony) Appearance: (As human) His height is around 6” 2' and quite skinny. He has dark black hair that hangs over his eyes and stops right below his nose and his eyes are a cold steel blue, if you ever manage to catch a glimpse of one. He usually wears a black long sleeved hooded sweater with the sleeves hanging past the palm of his hand, old blue jeans with rips in the knee and near his ankles, heavy hiking boots and a random coloured t-shirt. He is almost never seen without his backpack, a model designed to distribute weight along his back, usually meant for cycling. Personality: Psyche has a constant need to speak his mind, whether other people want to hear or not. He will often make a situation very uncomfortable for others in his desire to convey his opinion. He is quick to anger and take offence, but will seldom resort to physical confrontations. He is bluntly honest with everyone, whether talking about himself, or them. He prefers quiet, and usually keeps to himself, unless forced into a situation where he has to confront someone, or he feels his morals are being challenged. He has particular distaste for people who show themselves to be mindless, and follow societies constructs without question. On the flip side he finds himself intrigued by the 'rebels' and 'outcasts'. He is not particularly smart, but can use logic very well Slight history: Psyche was born to a family of bakers, both his mother and father running a small bakery in the town of Manehatten. Though he never really enjoyed the idea of baking, he still followed in his families footsteps and works there part time. Psyche grew up with an intense social phobic disorder, meaning every time he would talk to someone, present something or even see someone look at him, he became paranoid that they were judging him. His social skills suffered because of this and he became a recluse. As he grew up however, the fear changed into a minor form of misanthropy, in which he thought he should judge others before they could judge him, and he ended up disliking most. This caused his social skills to dilute and helped contribute to his uncaring and blunt nature. Current life: He is attending this school with the intention of studying psychology, as well as a feeble attempt to become more open, and less socially awkward. Part time job: Psyche works in his small, family run bakery, something he doesn't really like, but does anyways.
9. While that is true, we would like to see everyone's skill in controlling an OC and give them somewhere to flesh out an OC's personality. Plus it lets us spread out the cast amoungst RPers. No two canon characters for one RPer, we discussed and found that it could lead to people trying to buddy up to the two canon characters, and ignore the rest.
10. I'm out with the other two, not your fault Shadow, just next time, do an app and screening process for all the RPers, keeps it clean and free of... explosions.
11. Question Mark nodded with his eyes closed, before opening them with slight relief. "That's great, I thought... you know differences between work and life would stop us... interacting on the outside." He smiled softly and got up from his chair. "I think I'm going to go out tonight, maybe meet someone new..." He nodded and made his way towards the exit. "Oh and Heart Healer... thank you."
12. Question Mark tapped his hooves together in thought for a couple moments before shaking his head slowly. "Nope, I don't think there is right now. Um... but if anything does come up, you wouldn't mind me coming back right? I kinda like this place." He punctured the statement by looking around the room. "And... if I see you, on the street, would you... mind if I said hi?"
13. Question Mark nodded his head in agreement with Heart Healer's words. "Yeah, you're right. I think... no I know I can do that now." He smiled, a real smile for once. "Well, I guess this was a lot more then a simple learning experience about magic and psycology. Um... thanks a lot, I really think that this helped, and I'm really greatful, for everything."
14. Question Mark tilted his head to the side as he thought of the question. "Well... I guess I should talk to more ponies... outside of an office of course. And maybe "chat up" as my dad calls it, the customers in the cafe more, and try to be intested in what they are saying." He smiled slightly. "Maybe I'll get out more, and stop spending every night at home." He looked up at Heart Healer with a puzzled look. "Those are all good ideas right?" He scuffed the chair slightly with his hoof. "And I'll... try and stop being so scared of everypony."
15. Question Mark sniffed and slowly looked around the room, as if his answer would be there. "I- They'd have to be smart I guess, someone I could have a conversation with, and wouldn't stare at me weirdly when I talk. And they'd have to be..." He hummed and looked at his hooves. "I guess anypony who would accept me for who I am, and be able to put up with me not always being... average I guess." He shook his head slightly at the thought. "Like I said, it's useless to dream of ideals... but I think that would be it." He looked up with a hopeful smile "Do you really think it's just like being a detective? Like a pony detective? That could be interesting way of seeing it... do you really think I could be better?"
