  1. Sounds good to me, I’ll have to peruse my selection of characters.
  2. Feather smiled wider at Myth’s praise, the wink drawing a bit of a blush out of the pegasus. She stayed that way until Raven spoke up again about living up to her mother’s legacy. “Yeah, I feel that. You need to make your own path though, not just relive your Mom’s life. My Mom was a great fighter, and a great merc, but that merc life isn’t for me, so I’m doing this. Getting to use my skills to help Equestria and my friends, it’s great!” She said, giving a nod to the other two and pulling them both into a group hug. ————————— Ishi frowned slightly as things kept going between Nira and Shiroi, but thankfully it seemed like those were the closing remarks on the subject. Breathing out a small sigh, he put on his professional smile again and turned back to Ice. “A wonderful suggestion, Commander Storm. If there is nothing else you wish to discuss right now, you may begin your search under Nira’s supervision.” Ishi nodded to Ice.
  3. Vera rolled his eyes as the deck was taken from him so Rose could do it with more style, but he said nothing about it as she talked. Well, the fact the hydra was already dealt with certainly made things easier, and it made him actually consider taking the job. He remained silent as she dealt the cards, aside from some hums of thought, though her mention of using the scales for decor did make him laugh slightly. "Do I strike you as the kind of guy to settle down anywhere long enough to need decor? Nah, at most I might use them for armor or some other gear. Still, that does sound doable, I'll probably head that direction after I'm done here." He said, looking down at the pile of cards that had ended up in front of him. "So, what game we playing?"
  4. Vera followed her into the room, taking the other chair and sitting in it. He looked at her for a bit after she was done speaking, thinking about what she had said. “That depends, what kind of services would this ‘Nautilus’ require? Harvesting a hydra is no simple task, especially in a region like that. I am not in the business of risking my life unnecessarily.” He said, beginning to shuffle the cards.
  5. Vera raised an eyebrow at the mention of adventure, following her to the door and peeking into the other room. It seemed safe enough, just a table and chairs in a quaint room. He let her walk into the room first though, just in case.
  6. One second Vera was examining their work, the next he was on land again and rapidly returning to his land form. He had to blink a couple times again, looking around to get his bearings. Seemed they were back at the shop, which was fine by him. “No problem, thanks.” He said, rolling his shoulders a bit as the changes finalized and he was back to his land form. “I suppose now is as good a time as any to do that card game, and discuss the payment for the last part of that job.”
  7. “Very well, I don’t see anything better to do.” Vera shrugged, getting to work again. It shouldn’t be too hard to do, especially with a magic user helping out. Fortifying the structure was a simple enough task, though he wasn’t entirely sure how to make it more livable. He wasn’t exactly an expert on how modern amenities worked, especially not underwater ones.
  8. “Well, I was working under the impression this was just a demonstration, not actually a home for multiple creatures. Not like I’m experienced making those anyways though.” He said, accepting the hoof and shaking it. “How much longer on this potion, anyways? I wanna be ready to let the shard take over.”
  9. “I mean, it’s nothing fancy, obviously. Should work just fine as a shelter to keep stuff out though.” Vera shrugged, looking over at the mare. He swam over to the door, opening it up and looking around the inside. He hadn’t really been making this with three creatures in mind, but they would probably all fit in there.
  10. “Well, the game’s not over until you run out of cards, and you put all the sets down when they are complete. When the game ends, the one with the most sets wins.” He clarified, starting his work again and soon enough he finished. It wasn’t exactly a mansion, but it was functional to keep things out. It was good enough for him, especially as just temporary shelter.
  11. Vera paused for a moment at her questions, his mouth moving with no sound as he tried to process what she had said. After a moment, he just started laughing, forgetting about his work for the moment as he tried to catch his breath. “No, there’s no actual fish involved.” He said after his laughter had died down a bit. “It’s a foal’s game, really. The point is to get groups of four, which you normally do by asking the opponent if they have a specific number of card, like 3s. If they have any, they give them to you and you go again. Otherwise you draw a card and it’s the next player’s turn.” He explained as best he could from what he remembered.
  12. “Yep, and yet they get upset anyways.” He chuckled, continuing his work until he heard her ask about what he usually played. “Oh, different stuff. The kinds you see at casinos, oftentimes. Poker, Blackjack, that sort of thing. We could even play Go Fish, if that’s more your speed.” Vera said, giving a teasing wink at the end.
  13. “Concerned? Not at the moment, no. Pretty sure I lost my pursuers before I even got to town. Plus, it was just a card game, they probably won’t be looking too hard anyways.” Vera shrugged, continuing his work. Hideout he could understand raising red flags, but shelter? What was wrong with that? Everyone needed shelter, especially if they were trying to escape the rain.
  14. With Morning situated on her bed, and Kettle still talking to Chipper, Caramel decided to start unpacking. She didn’t want to leave Morning alone, just in case, so she stayed in the room and began unpacking her things and putting them around her side of the room. It was organized chaos, really, but she knew where to find stuff.
  15. “I did a lot of exploring back when I was stuck underwater, you learn to spot these kinds of things when they’re the only form of shelter around.” Vera shrugged, looking over at Rose. After a moment of consideration, he started to build around the hole, explaining things as he went.
  16. Ishi remained silent as things progressed. He did know about Nira's desire to work with the general public, and he had helped her with that in the past, but there wasn't much he could do right now about it, not with all the guests and official expectations around. He wanted her to be happy though, so he would have to talk more about how he could help her later. Shiroi made a good point, but he still wanted Nira to be happy. A pony that was unhappy with their position was less likely to be doing their best, and he would rather have a healer that wanted to be there than one just going through the motions while they try to find a way out. "Perhaps we should save this discussion for another time, Nira. One where we are not chasing an evil sorceress. I wish to help you though, as much as I did before." He said, giving Nira a nod and a small smile. ----------------------- Feather smiled proudly at the praise from Raven, nodding a bit about the sentiment of it taking a while. She had to pause at the question, thinking about it for a bit before she responded. "I think you're doing great, Raven. The boss trusts you to do a great job, or else she probably wouldn't have asked. I trust you too, you know, you've definitely earned it." She nodded, smiling encouragingly at Raven. "And if you ever need my help, I'll gladly help out however I can."
  17. Vera was swimming around the lake when Rose appeared again with various materials. He had spent part of the twenty minutes gathering some local materials as well, but he had to raise an eyebrow as she came back with what looked like ruins and clearly wood from a swampy area. Well, whatever, it was here now, so it was time to make use of it. "Mostly stone and local plants. There is a small cave-like thing over there that could work well as a starting point." He said, gesturing towards the cave where he had also started piling the resources. It was usually easier to add to a pre-existing feature like a cave rather than construct something entirely new.
  18. “Well, I mostly used natural materials, since this was before I could go above the water. Whatever I could find, really. Rocks, coral, pieces of shipwrecks.” Vera shrugged, blinking a bit as they suddenly moved to a larger body of water. Right, teleportation was a thing that could be done, but he had never experienced it himself. “Right, I’ll go do that then.” He said, swimming off to go explore the lake they were in. The good news was that it would be even harder for any pursuers to follow his trail since he had been teleported from one body of water to another.
  19. Even with her magic sight, there were places Solar Flare was pretty hesitant to go to. Places like an airship where the only living things would probably be her two new friends, and possibly a crew. She had her bird to help guide her through obstacles, but it wasn’t a perfect system, especially in tight spaces. Still, she wanted to help other blind ponies gain some modicum of sight, so she had arrived at the ship on time. The blind unicorn sighed slightly at the bottom of the gangplank, psyching herself up to leave the ground behind and not even be able to see what she was walking on. After a few moments, she followed Sunny up the ramp, the bird chirping encouragingly. The two ponies at the end also helped get her going in the right direction. Well, one pony and one that looked like some kind of changeling, but Rose had been nice so far so it didn’t really matter. “Greetings, you two. I am still not sure how much help I will be, but I am willing to help make other ponies lives better.” She nodded as Sunny landed, perching on a nearby railing.
  20. Dox shrugged as Hou stopped her magic, canceling his as well. He had wanted to see how far Sombra would go to disable the scrying, but oh well. This was Hou’s show, mostly, so he was content to play along for now and see where things went. It was interesting to hear what she knew about their two pursuers, especially the pegasus that was apparently quite knowledgeable. He always did enjoy meeting a fellow scholar. He nodded as she finished, walking towards their destination with her. ——————— Dox looked up from his book as Hou emerged from the shower, humming a bit as she began going over their advantages and a possible plan. “Seems somewhat strange to have a creature that doesn’t like sunlight to be wandering the desert during the day. I’ll have to think of something else.” He chuckled at her suggestion, though the arrival at the door interrupted any further conversation. Dox examined the stallion silently as he spoke to Hou, looking at the briefcase as he left. Tongue Twister was Hou’s experiment now, hmm? Interesting. “IDs, hmm? Those certainly are useful.” Dox nodded, sorting through a stack he was floating in his magic. His were, of course, a bit more varied. The benefits of changeling magic. Still, he smiled a bit at the memories, some of these had provided very fun times.
  21. Name: Khunne Gender: Female Age: Young Adult Species: Sphinx Eye Color: The right eye is red and the left is blue. Character Color: Her body is mostly a light bluish-green color, with darker green marking along her body. Her wings start out the bluish-green, but become the dark green partway down. Mane/Tail: Her mane and tail are a solid lighter purple in color. The mane is somewhat messy, swept to the right and ending around her cheek. It mostly covers the eye on the right side. The back side of the mane is pulled into a long braid that goes down past her wings and has a golden bangle on the end. The tail simply ends in a small puff of hair at the end of her feline tail. Physique: She is shorter than most sphinxes her age, though still towering above any pony simply by nature of her species. Residence: She wanders the globe Occupation: Vagrant, occasionally a singer Cutie Mark: n/a Unique Traits: Jewelry: She doesn’t wear much, but she does have a couple earrings and a few rings around her neck, all gold. Music: She can’t really play instruments, but she has been known to write the occasional song History: Her early life was rather boring, really, growing up in a temple to a moon goddess and being trained to be the next guardian. It was not fun for her, most of the time, but it had its moments. As she grew, she wanted to stay less and less, and she eventually just left one day. From then on she wandered to wherever seemed most interesting, doing whatever she wanted. She picked up her love of singing early on when she stumbled across a concert nearby a town. Personality: She is a rather brash individual, not usually thinking something through before doing it. She tends to take what she wants, though that’s usually just food or shelter since she has nowhere to really store anything long-term. She enjoys showing up at concerts and letting the music take over, mostly rock or punk, though she can appreciate anything that gets her dancing or singing along. She highly values her freedom, and doesn’t like it when others try to tell her what to do.
  22. I say you can never have too many backup characters. Just look at my log.
  23. Sorry for the delay, there's something now at least.
  24. Dox simply hummed, listening to Hou's speculation about Sombra as he watched the scrying spell. He narrowed his eyes a bit as he saw Sombra's horn start to light up, pausing a moment to consider his options before his own started glowing as well. Weaving his own spells into Hou's, Dox made it much more difficult to counter as well as activating sound so the two ancients could hear Sombra and his companion, and creating some backups. No need to underestimate Sombra's abilities at countering magic, especially Hou's, since the former king was more familiar with her. "There we go, that should hold him back for a while if he wants to stop our surveillance." Dox said, nodding. He was tempted to provide more physical obstacles, but conjuring something that would provide a challenge over such a great distance would take more time and energy than he cared to put into it at the moment. He had to make sure he was ready for when they arrived, after all.
  25. Well, that was an... interesting story. Caramel wasn’t sure what to say in response to Chipper’s tale, but it was taken out of her hooves anyways as Morning Glow proceeded to faint. Caramel blinked a couple times after Spearmint lowered the filly to the floor, then sighed and moved over to pick up Morning. Carrying the other filly on her back, Caramel went back into her room and carefully deposited her load onto her bed. Thankfully they had been pretty close to the room, she didn’t want to move Morning that much right now.
