  1. One time I was doing some grocery shopping when I overheard two little girls talking about chocolate rain. They were quoting lines from the season 2 premier and they couldn't of been older then 9 yrs old. I found that really amusing.
  2. Pinkie Pie encompasses the spirit of all of us on Halloween. Crazy and always up for free candy. Anyway, I liked the episode; Luna's royalty out of touch, the fear angle, the Pumpkin Chucking. Though the jump from "we're horseapplesting our pants" scared to "we're scared because it's fun" at the end was rather quick. All in all, this is one of my favorites as it feels different; the colors were a lot cooler then normal seeing as it was night time and it was nicely contrasted by the bright costumes. It was the festive side of halloween. And as a note I'd love to nitpick as to how long the Nightmare Moon legend has been used in Nightmare Night if no one knew who she was outside the MAre in the Moon legend. But it was just so awesomely presented I can't not love it. Also for a Princess trying not to scare people Luna sure does like to arrive in a swirl of dark clouds, thunder, bats, and a gothic chariot pulled by demon ponies sporting bat-dragon wings. Image Luna, Image! Sure it's cold in the upper atmosphere but the cloak didn't help.
  3. Let me sum up this, and the previous episode, with one sentence. This should of been a movie. This isn't me saying it was so good I need more. Fact is a lot of the episode was rushed. Friendship Restored? Rushed. Discord Battle? Rushed. Ending? Rushed. This episode had a lot of good moments, and Discord is as great as ever; but it was matched by numerous moments where solutions seem to come too fast or the scene ends before you know it. So yeah; great episode and Discord is as great as ever. Should have been made into a feature length movie. Would have fit with the Star Wars reference at the end.
  4. Uploaded first image to the gallery; just thought Id let you know.

Art of things, characters, and places that you've seen somewhere before; most likely the show.
  6. I loved Discord, especially how he has the power to do whatever but would rather play mind games in an act of hubris. I loved the first scene where he spoke to them in the stained glass. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be outside in the chocolate puddles with a giant swizzlestraw.
  7. Honestly, so far it seems a little faster paced then I would like. Though I expect that of Second Season Premiers. Gotta love that Discord though.
  8. I'm voting Obama again. He may have not been strong these past 4 years, but that's partly because the Republicans have acted like such sore losers and fought unfair fights to diminish his popularity and get him out of office. Add to that the GOP, where the only sane candidate seems to be the one no republican or news outlet seem to care about. All in all, I don't agree with many of the republican's policies, especially the ones influenced by the Tea Party and Extreme Conservatives. I want Obama in the office and I really want a lot of his Policies to take shape in one form or another, I just want him to be stronger. I still feel he's going to win; the silent majority in this country doesn't take to loudmouths and extremists. Plus the overly Christian overtones of the Republican base will turn off a lot of non-Christians.
  9. In the poll? Twilight Sparkle, with Rainbow Dash a close, close second. In the show? Artist Rarity. In episodes like "Suited for Success" and "Green isn't your Color," whenever Rarity essentially goes all Crazy Artist on everypony.
  10. Well you see a long, long time ago the earth was ruled by dinosaurs. They were big so not a lot of people or Ponies went around hassling them. Then something happened, a giant meteorite struck the earth. Goodbye dinosaurs! But... what if the dinosaurs weren't all destroyed? What if the impact of that meteorite created a parallel dimension where dinosaurs and various other creatures continued to thrive and evolve into civilized beings just like us? What if dinosaurs evolved into Dragons and the equine mammals developed advanced brains that allowed for the manipulation of the world around them. And hey, what if they found a way back? Well they did, in the original MLP they worked with humans many times. Soon after communing with the humans in the original series, the monarchy is taken over by the evil King; King Koquine Discord; sought to overtake the human world by merging the two. He then stole a precious gem known as the Merge Stone, a piece of the original meteorite that split the world, and reunited the two dimensions and the resulting chaos killed all the humans. After the human massacre, the ponies revolted and a revolution began to overthrow the evil king and put the rightful airs to the thrown, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, back into power and he was defeated by Celestia and Luna with the power of the Elements of Harmony. Celestia and Luna were victorious and harmony returned to the land, but nothing could wipe the memories of the massacre from the civilian minds. Never the less, they adopted some of the human design elements into their modern world which is why you see them today. And that's how Pinkie Pie earned her Cutie Mark. (Updated for Season 2)
  11. 21 Male Illustrator and Graphic Designer. For my own reasons I use AdamRB (or AdamRBi if the prior is taken) as my online moniker in most of my online identities. I first heard it from my older brother, who is a professional animator. I dismissed it for the normal "good animation can't save bad kid show writing." A few months later I checked it out after reading some blog posts about it on various cartoon blogs. The writing surprised me as it wasn't what I expected at all, as was the animation which I heard was good but initially blew off as "good for a kid's show" good in the months prior. It was the writing and characters that bought me in and I've been a fan ever since the first half of season 1.
  12. Recently I've improvised my own version of a dish I had at a Japanese restaurant called Pad-Thai. Improvised, meaning it's recipe is very loosely stitched by my own assertion of how much is the right amount when I cook; this is how I make it: 1 pack of Linguini (or noodles of your choice. 1 Egg (egg white if you want to cut the calories) Soy Sauce teaspoon of Salt 1/4 cup of Sugar 3 or 4 boneless/skinless Chicken breasts 1 small pack Frozen Broccoli Peanuts Heat your oven to 450 degrees and move the chicken into it. If the chicken is frozen, it may be a good idea to par boil it for up to five minutes in a pot of rapidly boiling water. The chicken should be in the oven for up to about 10 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees (no pink, fully cooked insides). While that cooks, boil the Linguini until done; set aside and start cooling it with cold water. Once cooled, move to a bowl and add a touch of salt, soy sauce (up to 3 tablespoons, and the egg. Mix them up for an even coating of egg. Also remember to take out your chicken once it's cooked so it can cool as well. Once cooled, chop it up into chunks or throw it in a blender to chop it up. set aside. Heat a thin layer of oil in a large skillet on about half heat; if you only have smaller pans to work with, divide the cooking up as you'll need room for all the noodles plus the chicken and broccoli. Once heated, add the frozen broccoli and cook for about a minute. Then, add the noodles, making sure to mix them around so that they all have a chance at the heat. Now, sprinkle 1/4th of a cup of sugar into the noodles and mix, trust me on this one. Finally, add your chicken and continue to cook, adding additional soy sauce if you wish. Cook for about 5 to 8 minutes and remove from heat. Finally, chop up some lightly salted peanuts (blender preferred). When serving, sprinkle the peanuts over each dish. I am in no way a professional and I do a lot of improvising when I cook, so if something turns out wrong you can let me know, but I humbly urge you to try this dish. It. Is. Delicious.
  13. I'm trying to remember how I actually got linked here, but I opened the window as an "I'll check this out later" moment. Joined because I figure I'd try to get more into the community, it's a big moral and motivation booster. Thanks.
