From the album: Requests, Gifts, Commissions
Another 'thank you' gift for someone who's been dropping off 'Like's on nearly every art piece I've submitted, since the beginning. This time it features Pocket Change, a hopeless romantic at heart as he presumably pours out his heart to his marefriend. (I was going to included a disgruntled Nocturne Wisp in the background, but got lazy.) I also used this picture to practice some animation. Click on the picture and scroll a bit to get it started. The program I'm using now is a whole lot easier than the other one I was using to animate, but it's still pretty difficult for me. Baby steps! Pocket Change © Tacobob- 8 comments

From the album: Doodles 'n the Like
Both Zelda and Inkbrand have made comments about how plush/cuddly/soft the other's fur or feathers are, so I made a little doodle/animation of Zelda cuddling an Inkbrand plush. ...That is all. Zelda © Tacobob- 7 comments

From the album: Doodles 'n the Like
Was talking with starswirlthebearded today about how his version of Celestia could potentially be convinced to get a temporary tattoo from Inkbrand, which led to this little animation. I know some people don't really like Trollestia, but I mean. Really. I couldn't help myself. This animation is definitely too large to play in the gallery - click on the picture and scroll a bit to view it! Celestia © Hasbro- 8 comments

From the album: Doodles 'n the Like
Another animation based of a suggestion by someone. Click on the picture and scroll a bit to view it! For those of you that don't know it, Dawnguard is actually very similar in appearance to Dubstep's character Dark Core, with a white body and golden hair - the unicorn simply dyes himself darker colors. In this little animation though, Dawnguard happens to catch Dark Core without his dyes, leading to some confusion over an obvious kindred spirit (not). Dark Core © Dubstep- 3 comments

"Yeah, I'm being cute. What about it?" I dunno, I hadn't drawn Inkbrand in a while, I was bored, things happen. I take no responsibility for my actions.- 5 comments

I don't know, I was bored today. Maybe his fox pet got lost or something? This is actually a very simple animation - click on the picture and scroll a bit to get the animation started.- 5 comments

Inspired by Tacobob's recent post in the Spellbound RP, this is another simple animation. Click on the picture to get the animation started. I'm already in love with Dazzle Dawn, one of Rarity's OCs, and Nocturne Wisp's dynamic, and they've only had about two posts together. Nocturne is kind of a broody guy, and Dazzle's sunshine is a perfect compliment. Can't wait to RP more with this character! Dazzle Dawn © Rarity- 5 comments

New animation, the most complicated one I've done. Smaller size, so the gif actually works in the gallery without someone having to click on it first~ I think this ended up at about twenty frames or so? Still really simple in terms of animating, but more difficult for me to try and draw the frames for smooth transitions. Maybe next time I'll be able to figure out how to move different parts, like hair and accessories.- 7 comments

Uploaded a small size so the gif should be viewable right from the album. If not, click on the picture and scroll a bit to start up the animation! I'm still doing frame-by-frame animation - haven't even begun to look at actual animating programs - but I wanted to practice hair movement. And, what a pain that was. I can visualize and see how hair moves...but then trying to break that movement down into individual frames that, when put together, will create the exact movement, is extremely difficult for me. Still, this actually came out a lot better than I imagined it would. Obviously rough and unpolished, but for my first time animating major movement, not too bad.- 5 comments

Felt like fiddling around with animation today, so out came this little doodle. Click on the picture and scroll a bit to see the animation! For those of you that don't know, my eastern dragon Yuri is just a little bit fascinated with ponykind. She and another dragon are currently traversing Equestria in hopes to meet several different kinds of ponies, and their first run in is none other than Prince Blueblood. For having to deal with two strange dragons essentially barreling their way into his home (including one that has a very poor concept of personal space), he's being a pretty good sport about it. (Also no, I didn't forget about his horn. It's there...somewhere). Prince Blueblood © Hasbro- 10 comments

First off, apologies in advance if this thread is in the wrong section, so mods feel free to move it if you can. Anyway, if you haven't yet known by now the team at Silly Filly Studios (link) premiered their new fan made animated project titled "Snowdrop" earlier today with a premiere stream on Bronystate. For those who aren't in the loop, Snowdrop is a story about a young, blind pegasus who, long ago, changed Equestria's winters forever on her quest to find herself. I watched the premiere this morning and well.....I'm lost for words. The feels, emotion, liquid pride and even a little bit of being emotionally attached to Snow Drop. Especially in the scene in my opinion that stole the show (spoilered for anyone who hasn't seen it yet): Overall, this fan animation project has to be one of the best I've ever seen. If you haven't yet seen it, do so, but bring a box of tissues along just in case the liquid pride starts to show.

Before you go....Meh. It's done by JanAnimations..The same guys who do the other pony toons that you're almost 99.99% sure are done by DHX Media. (Picture Perfect Pony, the animated bits in the Brony Doc, etc..) From their Tumbr: Introducing the upcoming mini-series “Button’s Adventures”. Following the young colt Button Mash and his everyday life in Ponyville. The episodes will be about 3 or 4 minutes in length and will be released periodically, they will consist of several different small skits starring Button, his family, and friends. Directed, written and animated by JanAnimations. Co-written, audio design, music and the voice of Button by ShadyVox. - http://www.youtube.com/ShadyVoxYT Featuring the voice of Button’s Mother by EileMonty - http://www.youtube.com/EileMontyVA http://youtu.be/Nu09clCfX20 It looks to be really cute...Not a fun of Button's voice. It just sounds like an adult doing a kid's voice..An annoying kid's voice...Sometimes it's worth it just to get a kid (ala Adventure Time and Friendship Is Magic)

So I was wondering if anyone on the forums will be making their way to A&G this year? Its my first convention to be honest and if anyone was planning on being there i thought it would be cool to hang out or at least say hello. Granted its not the biggest con and im not sure if it showcases pony fandom much but i know of a couple groups that fly the MLP: FiM flag that plan on making an appearance. So anywho anyone have plans on going?

[Closed to new requests until I can catch up] Hello there! I’m fairly new to the site, and I figured I could use this part of the forums to get some drawing practice. I’m an animation student, currently attending Westwood College, but with my school’s heavy focus on 3D art, and my tendency to get distracted when drawing on my own time, my fundamental drawing skills have gone a bit stale. Fortunately, I tend to do better when working for someone else, and so I would like to take your requests (preferably stuff with OCs). This is my first time taking requests, so I welcome any advice on doing so. I also welcome critique on my work, regardless of how brutal. As I mentioned, I am a college student, and also already working on a side project, so it might take me a while to get around to and complete requests, so please be patient. I draw with vectors directly in Adobe Flash, so it’s possible to add animations to the drawings (I’d prefer to keep these as simple as possible in the interest of time). Here’s a link to my DeviantART gallery for samples of my drawings and animations: http://eben-swf.devi...rt.com/gallery/ Queue: - BlindJester - BrainedBySaucepans - ArcadePerfect - Starbuster

So, I'm head animator1 for a fan project by the guy who got me in to the MLP in the first place.2 I sometimes livestream when I work, so he has some idea of how things are going.3 Since I'm part of the community now, I thought I may as well post a link to the livestream here, in case anyone is interested in watching as I work.4 I'll also be on Mumble5 while I work, so if you fancy joining me for a chat and keeping my spirits up, feel free. A word of warning: I listen to music as I work, and this makes it very likely that there will be some NSFW content on the livestream.7 Links and details are below. One final note, I'm using a free Mumble server I haven't used before, so I don't know whether it'll work well, or how many connections it will allow. Please try if you can, it'd be nice to chat to people as I work, it keeps my morale up and reminds me why I do this. If enough people join me, I may consider doing this again.8 Livestream (NSFW): http://www.livestream.com/misterdunn Mumble: Host Name: mumble.typefrag.com Port Number: 47150 --------

The video below proves it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDdL4z5qfr4&feature=channel&list=UL I remember when the same person released this video. I thought it was genuinely from the show. I thought to myself, "This is like Hearts and Hooves Day, but where's Cheerilee... My God... ITS FAN ANIMATED?!" Now, this person has outdone themselves with a complete music video! What are your thoughts (seeing as I can't have any with my mind blown and all...)?

Hi, everypony! I'm pretty new here, and as I mentioned in my introduction, I happen to have Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, which ran me about $300... I haven't used it that much, due to the lack of motivation. But I think you guys can help solve my problem. I could do some OK animations back when I used the program in school, but since then, I have pretty much forgotten everything in Flash. So my question is this: do any of you ponies know where I can get up to speed on animating stuff in Flash for the brony community? I've heard that able animators are needed, and I could be a potential candidate, if I could learn how to do it... I mean, who knows, when the show is cancelled (hopefully not for a LONG time), it would be cool if the fandom could continue making episodes or something like that. If animating doesn't work out for me, I'll have to go to writing fanfics, which is perfectly fine, since I'm a pretty good writer, but I've been leaning towards animating things. Thanks in advance.

I've been an animator (actually working as one) for only a few months, at about the same time I got illustrator I had Just started getting into MLP. before that time I was a musician, guitarist mainly, but I set that aside (as just a hobby now) because I love animation. I was wondering if there were any flash-based animators on the site, I'd love to meet you guys!

Okay, so I finally desided to make an animated Gif of Flim doing his "Locomoooootion" arm wiggle. I would LOVE to upload this, but the ONLY issue is...When I try to upload this new avatar, it just doesn't work. Can someone tell me the max dimensions and file size for avatars so I can snip this down abit more so it fits? Or possibly there's some other problem? Any help would be appreciated! And here it is!

So, I was thinking that I might like to start up a pony animation group thing. I've only seen a couple out there, so it's not really a big thing—probably because it takes a lot of work! I was just wondering if anyone would be at all interested in helping with something like this. I was also thinking of calling it 'Epic Animation Time!' The idea would be to start off doing pony animations, however this could possibly move forward from that and we could work on different or even original projects. The main thing I think that would be needed at this point would be ANIMATORS. I don't do any type of art because I am kinda terrible at it. But, I have story ideas and I can do voice work. So I'm not entirely useless. I can also be good at organizing things, like Twilight Sparkle. Anyway, post below if you're interested, and please answer the polls. If you are seriously interested in helping rather than just interested in seeing what we could produce, please use this format (you can also make other comments in addition): Name you would like to go by: Skilled in: Animating, writing, voice acting, other (can choose multiple): Examples of work (if you don't wish to post they can be emailed to epicanimationtime@gmail.com): Skype, Messenger, AIM, other-online-chat name (Skype is preferred): How many hours you think you'd be able to dedicate on average per week: This is still just a general interest query, nothing is final yet.

So, I finally decided to make a topic about Netflix. For those who don't have Netflix, I would recommend it if you enjoy movies, enjoy old cult TV shows, or really anything that pertains to cinema. Netflix has a way of bringing attention to lesser known titles to you that you may not have ever known about otherwise. I call these flicks 'gems'. Some of these gems are independent. Some of them are documentaries. Some of them are probably movies you'd never watch in a million years, but for some reason, you sat down and watched it in the perfect mood, and loved it. Periodically, I am going to share some movie titles from Netflix that I call gems. I highly enjoyed watching these movies, and I must recommend them for someone else to watch too. If you have a gem that you would like to recommend, I encourage you to share them too. Just note that it's best to recommend titles that can be seen instantly, as they are much less hassle to get hold of and that movie titles like "Apollo 13" because they are clearly a good movie that most people have heard of. Try to share titles that no one has heard of. I have do have one rule for this thread: Please place movie descriptions in spoiler tags, even if it's not a spoiler. The reason is this: I feel that it's usually best to watch a movie without knowing exactly what you're watching. It allows your focus to be entirely sucked into whatever the movie is about from the beginning to the end (assuming it is enjoable). And if you want to copy-paste movie summaries, that's fine. However, listing the genre and movie type is of course fine to place outside of the spoiler tags. For an example, here is my first share. It is a documentary: Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (NR) Independent Documentary Emotional, Controversial, Heart-pounding My thoughts:

So, this just popped up on YouTube by Flamingo1986. Looks pretty good, and this is totally fanimation, not official.
