1. Journalism. If there was ever a way for a pony's reputation to be ruined, or immortalize, it was through the written words of the papers, and Ice Storm despised this. It was all to easy for somepony to start a rumor and spread around through the paper that something is happening when there's really nothing going on at all. However, Ice also was becoming increasingly aware of the fact that having a journalist on your side and able to say things in your favor, was important. Tempest had brought this to her attention several times in the last few months, as well as Sombra, and most of the ponies that she sought advice from. She hated dealing with them though, especially when she thought back to how they turned the attack on the Crystal Empire into a propaganda attack on the sisters themselves. Ice Storm let out a sigh as she leaned back at her desk. She absolutely hated being here... She loved her hotel and casino, and her organization and everything that came with it, but she was a mare of action... not a mare to be stuck behind a desk waiting for others to arrive for a matter of potential business. She pulled out one of the articles from the pony of whom she had summoned to meet her here today. It was the article on the Crystal Empire attack. In fact it was multiples of them. There was one talking about whether they could trust the Caribou and whether the aid that they sent was a ruse for them to let their guard down once more. There was another talking about the conditioning of the guards and how they were woefully unprepared for defending Equestria and her ponies in time of need... It was one of the few articles she found that she actually agreed with from the attack. Then there was the one that Bluebelle had shown her. The one that tried to shoulder all of the blame for the attack onto the princesses and tried to question the leadership of the ponies that had lead Equestria for millennia. She stood up, unable to keep herself seated anymore as she waited and she walked over to her window that overlooked downtown Las Pegasus. The lush padded carpet sank under her hooves. The design itself that spread across the floor looked like a pool of magma trying to spill through a rapidly melting sheet of ice. Ice could see the ponies outside going about their daily lives and she smiled. She knew that everypony in this city had a secret to hide, but that didn't mean that they were all bad ponies. Just that sometimes you need to do a few things behind the scenes to get things done. A sentiment that she knew herself very well, considering what most of these ponies were walking on without even knowing. Then of course, you have the three hour walk from the stop of the elevator to the ship yard where her supership was being built. It was coming along nicely at this point hull wise, but getting some of the internal parts and getting them into the shipyard unnoticed was proving to be a bit tricky. She took a deep breath and then looked up to the clock. "He should be here any minute," she said letting her spheres break away from her necklace, and orbit her neck, dropping the air temperature a bit in the room to make herself. She would worry about the comfort of her guest once she got the answers she wanted.
2. It hadn't been since she had been here on vacation way back when that she had a chance to come to the island paradise that the changelings were running now just off of the Equestrian Shoreline. IT wasn't that she didn't like the spa resort. On the contrary, she loved it. It had just been a series of events that had kept her quite busy within her own volition. She had deadlines that she had to meet after all. Granted, they were self-imposed deadlines, but they were deadlines never the less. She wasn't going to become Equestria's top defense force if she just let everything happen when it was going to happen. No, she needed to be ready to go as soon as possible. So far they have been right on schedule. She had to push a few things back because some of the deadlines that she was thinking about before hoof just wouldn't have been feasible. She was still new to this whole orchestrating defenses thing. And that was actually partly why she was here today. The twin green suns in the sky beat down onto the islands without a cloud in the sky and was a perfect day for lounging around for the tourists that had come to partake in such activities. Something that she had to admit she might part take in some while she was here. Not everything had to be business and sometimes a mare did have to step back and pamper herself every once in a while. First thing was first though. She was here to talk to a pony, or rather a changeling of great importance to her. None other than Queen Chrysalis herself. If she could get Chrysalis's support on her organization, and gain her alliance with STAR, then she could possibly gain access to the changeling army. The sheer numbers of that army would instantly bolster her efforts to help keep Equestria safe. She knew that Chrysalis would have a price for any alliance though, and she would have to be wary about what deals she could make. She still had her arcane pact with Luna that she had to uphold. So no matter what it couldn't be something that would cause a detriment to Equestria. At least not one that would end up negating the prospect that she was trying to achieve. As the train pulled into the station and she stepped off of it, she began to look around. Truth be told, she really didn't know where she was supposed to find the Queen on the islands. She had a vague idea from the letter, but this place was so massive it would be easy to get turned around in before a pony even batted an eye. Thankfully she managed to spot a couple of drones that looked to be drone guards and she started to approach them. "Excuse me sirs, I was wondering if you could help me. I have an invitation to meet with Queen Chrysalis," she said hooving over the parchment scroll with the seal on it for them to check. "If I could be pointed in her direction or escorted to her, I would be much appreciated, and would gladly compensate you for your troubles," she said with a smile.
3. It had been several years since Ice Storm had returned to the Crystal Empire. The last time she was here... was a time that she would remember for the rest of her life. It was a day of fun and friends that quickly turned into a nightmare for many, and awoke the fire inside of her that now drives her to protect Equestria, and the ponies that live inside her borders. The memorial that was in front of her... Was a reminder of just how much was lost that day. The ponies that had no way of knowing what was going on until everything was on them, and by then, everything was too late. This was the spot where the spire fell. She could still remember rushing to the airship, and getting on it just in time before it broke. She could remember the days in the hospital that she spent with doctors swarming her trying to make sure the large gash she had suffered while protecting the princess was taken care of. She could still remember how much that salve stung every single time they had to reapply it to the wound. Still though, she considered herself lucky. Many ponies that day did not recover from there wounds and many never made it out. This memorial had the names of those such ponies. Even if it meant that she still wouldn't have been able to cast magic... she wished that she could have gotten everypony out. As she looked over the list she could feel the rage building inside of her. This list right here, justified everything she was doing. If STAR could prevent this, prevent these kinds of things by taking the invasion to them, and eliminating the threat before it becomes one, then it was worth it. She looked around to many of the other ponies that had came to the memorial... She saw what she could only presume to be a mother and her filly sobbing in front of a section of the names. She could only presume that somewhere on that list of names was the father. She approached the couple and she spoke. "I will never be able to understand the pain of your loss... but I am sorry that I couldn't do more to prevent it. I did all I could... but..." she said trying to hold back her own emotions looking to the wall of names. "It just wasn't enough... I can make you this promise though... The days of whomever did this are numbered, and I can also promise that something like this will never happen again. I will personally make sure of that," she told them resting a bouquet that she had brought in front of them before turning to the wall. "I am sorry for your loss."
4. It'd taken a little while for the letter to reach its intended target, and a little longer before he even deigned to respond to it. It was from the leader of STAR, Black Ice, requesting a meeting with him. Having nothing particularly pressing to deal with, especially when a certain somepony who he'd taken a liking to was busy, he had sent back an answer, with a time and place for them to meet. Canterlot Castle. More specifically: one of the small reading alcoves located within the main part of the Archives. It would be private enough for them to speak; ponies rarely ever came to the Archives, anyway. They would be left undisturbed. As the time rolled around, King Sombra had settled himself within one of the cushy chairs with his usual arrogant poise, his forelegs draped over the armrests and his back straight, patiently awaiting Black Ice's arrival- to see if she would arrive on time, or intend to meet with him at all as per the agreement. For the occasion, Sombra had freshly bathed and groomed himself. Even his cape had seen some washing. Its color was bright and pristine, and altogether the shadow king looked prim, put together. Even oddly.. calm and content for such a sour, brooding stallion. This slight change would be apparent enough to the eyes of his guest, whenever she showed. He was looking forward to having some one on one time with this Black Ice, to get to better know this mysterious mare he was to listen to on some.. grand plan to keep Equestria safe where others struggled or failed to. Sombra had yet to see if it would work out any better than these fabled Elements of Harmony and whatever other organizations that had sprang into being with that very desire in mind. He'd learned a little about them, but nothing beyond their basic purpose. He could hardly feel like remembering their names, much less their acronyms. Furthermore, Sombra wanted information and this would be his best chance to get some.
5. From the album: Ice's Art

A pick I drew last night with the new armor that's being custom made for her.
6. The newly risen moon had a soft silver glow that lit up the edges of the few clouds that occupied the sky this night. They were thin wisps of clouds, slowly floating across the sky where a great myriad of the stars still glittered like metallic dust on a velvet dress. The very look of it all was why Luna loved the night so much. It was calming and gentle, and the moon itself so serene- a serenity she could not quite know for herself. Maybe someday she would, but not now. The castle itself was starting to quiet as most ponies began to settle down for the late evening, and there was something about the air of it that Luna found particularly dull. Dull enough that she chose to leave it, when she scarcely had as much to do as Celestia did during the day. It left her free to head out into the night sky, rising up around the spires of the castle, avoiding falling into the same old habits that seemed to have been following her almost every night. Luna always tried to do something to keep both her boredom and her thoughts at bay, always turning her mind towards something else to focus on, like flying or attempting to change out the lavender in the castle almost every night. She felt less inclined to do so these days, for certain reasons that still followed her despite the situation itself having been resolved. The dark alicorn's flight brought her up towards the golden-domed observatory. Luna hardly needed a telescope to view her night sky, but she knew it was there for those who'd want to study it. It was a place she hadn't visited in quite some time or.. ever, if she could even recall it amidst everything she'd had to deal with with Celestia. It would be something new again for her to venture into just as something to do. Landing outside the door along the outside, Luna moved into the dimness of the observatory room, only lit by the light of the moon that came through the wide gap in the ceiling the telescope protruded through. She navigated easily enough by that scant light, her wings slightly held aloft as she looked around at the round room with curiosity.
7. Las Pegasus.... It was definitely a unique place in Equestria. It wasn't the normal type of city that Ice Storm was used to. It was.... dense, and that was putting in mildly. How Swift had managed to get her real-estate, and sizable real-estate in the center of the city. Though apparently from what she had heard, it was a casino that had just recently been demolished. Apparently it was one of the casinos from "the old city" and it just wasn't up to code any more. Otherwise with that location, there shouldn't be any reason that a casino here should falter unless they weren't doing things right. Right now Her wife and here were staying at the Mareage in one of the VIP Suites. This Suite in particular overlooked the site where their hotel casino was going to be. So much as going to come from that site by the time that they were done with it and when she told the Mareage that she was the deed owners for the land and was a prospective new owner in Las Pegasus, they boosted her from the standard suite to the VIP suite at no additional charge. So far this was starting off to be a great Vacation! Of course she would still have to meet with the contractors at some point while they were here so that they could start breaking ground on the building. That wasn't for a couple days yet though, and the goal was to be here when the brought the first dozer in. Not to mention, she had another, very important meeting that she had to be here for later in the week. A meeting that would.... if things went correctly, there would be no turning back from. She currently was on her way down the elevator, the orbs orbiting very close to her as to not potentially hinder anypony else in the elevator as she was going to the restaurant. The food on the train was good.... as always, but she had heard wonders about the food here. She couldn't wait to try some of it for herself. She already told Fire Heart which one to meet her at, as she was still getting freshened up from the train ride. It didn't have anything at all to do with the fact that Ice had used all of the hot water for her one-hour shower... But hey! Fire heart was a fire mage right! she could just make more hot water!! She made her way towards the Osmareian Coltsta, the super fancy coastal Itaillian Restaurant that all sorts of different pastas, hay pastas, and a few exotic dishes that she wanted to try! some of them even had meat that would entice the griffons that were staying at the hotel. IF she were honest with herself, she kinda wanted to try one of the meat dishes... but she didn't want to waste food if it turned out to be something that she didn't care for. As she walked though, she could hear the wheels and bells of all of the different gambling machines that ponies were just dumping bits into. She could already tell this was a great business decision. Plus the decor here was really nice. There was the downside of the fact that this casino had a Volcano already... so they mihgt have to think of something new for the fire side of the hotel. She didn't want to step on the casinos that were already here. That was a surefire way to make enemies in a city where... you didn't want enemies. When She made it to the restaurant, she was greeted by a waitress that was a pale pink, and and the purest blue eyes that she had seen. She almost looked like Aloe, but the mane was too dark of a blue. And she had a different cutie mark. When asked how many, she smiled. "Two please, my wife should be down in a moment." she responded as she was directed to a table.
8. It had been just over a week since Ice Storm had been to Las Pegasus and struck the deal that would forever change her path in life. The end goal was the same.... the methods now though.... were a little bit different. After practicing a bit more using the technique that Twilight showed her in the guild to focus on her emotions and the orbs she had gained even more of a mastery of them. She felt like she could now use them to her full potential. In fact, the remake of her store showed that. Instead of looking like it was made out of ice, now it was made out of ice that was now permanently frozen. However, the air around them wasn't biting. It was a bit cooler than outside but it wasn't absolutely frigid. The ice was cold to the touch though. Today however, the shop had a closed sign on the front. That wasn't too entirely unusual, considering it was a day that Ice was normally closed on anyway. Everything inside was dark though. Even the ice that was in the building wasn't reflecting any light back out. almost as if they were absorbing the light instead of reflecting it. The reason for this was simple. No pony needed to see inside today. The less that ponies saw, the better for everypony involved. That said, there were many ponies that knew otherwise that there was indeed a bit of light coming from the floor of the shop. It was only visible once you entered the store. These ponies were all ponies that Ice Storm had sent Recruitment Letters to. Ponies that she had done research on and found that they might be a good fit. Ponies of promise, and ponies that... may have no where else to turn other than the streets. If she could give them a purpose, and help defend Equestria while she was doing it, then she was more than doing good for the world. She was sure of it. Once inside, magic in the floor of ice would light up with arrows instructing them to follow a very specific that to a stairwell before descending down into a much brighter lit room with a table. A large table, and Ice Storm was seated at the head of it, her orbs orbiting her freely in a constant, steady motion. She looked down at the lot of files in front of her... "My enemies..... Equestria's Enemies..... they will fall by my hooves.... The waiting is over..." she said to herself looking up at the clock. "The first prospect should be showing up right about now..." she added taking a seat and waiting. Today was going to be a long day, but if everything went right... by it's end.... everything will be worth it.
9. Tucked away deep within one of the Private VIP rooms at the Mareage, sat Ice Storm as she awaited her guest to arrive. This wasn't an ordinary guest that she had invited and the topic matter that they were going to be discussing tonight well... There was a very good reason why Icy Storm requested on of the private party rooms. Nopony else could overhear their discussions tonight. She even went so far as to make sure that the room wasn't monitored in any wat. She looked for cameras, wires, even motion sensors. There was a camera in the room, but she couldn't see any recording devices other than that. That's fine. Ponies can know that they talked, they don't need to know what they were discussing. Ice Storm had been working on and preparing for a silence spell already. It was going to take her a bit to cast because it was going to have to be shaped accordingly. She was going to force the spell around the plants, the table, and leave it just short of all of the walls and the floors to where nothing outside of her silenced zone could hear them. However, Ice and her guest would be able to hear them. Once she was satisfied with the room, she turned to the waiter pony. "When Tempest arrives, direct her to me. Once she's here, three knocks to get in," she told him, handing him a decent bag of bits. "Drinks, Orders, food. Otherwise, We are not to be disturbed, and we are not here." The Stallion looked down into the bag and once he sat the amount in it, he nodded. "Got it. What will you be starting off with?" "Strawberry Moscato, and Whatever Tempest wants when she gets here." He nodded again and shut the door as he left. Ice took the moment to look at the decor. There were four potted trees in the room, and a small vase on the table. Thankfully the vase was clear so she could see straight through it. Nothing in it that could listen to them. One less thing that she would have to warp around. She did however, begin to lower the temperature of the room. She didn't use her magic to do this though, she simply willed the orbs to speed up their orbit around her. The natural magic inside them did the work for her. The room was chilled. She took a seat at the table and waited. As soon as her guest arrived, the silence would start, and their dealings can begin.
10. Once she had made her way to her room and got everything settled in, Ice Storm found herself wanting a little bit more R&R. She had heard mention in the brochure that the spa here was among the best that money could offer. She could only wonder if Aloe and her sister had any hooves in setting it up because as far as she was concerned they had the best spa that you could go to period. They had everything there, and even some extra excitement to go along with it. It was Ponyville after all; always something going on there. It definitely wasn't the small village that it used to be wince Twilight's Castle had been put there. She dare say that it was more like a smaller Canterlot now. She stepped out of her room and started to look at the map to try to figure out how to get to the spa. She wanted to get there as early as she could to get a decent place in line. She already had her idea lined out. She wanted the fullest of the full treatments. She looked at her brochure and well, she might as well have had everything circled on it. She was definitely going to be dropping a good hoofful of bits when she got there. Thankfully she came prepared and pulled out extra for this vacation. If she was gonna pamper herself, she was gonna pamper herself large. After a bit of a trek through the resort she soon found herself at her destination and began to make her way inside. She was more than a bit excited and hoped there wouldn't be too big of a line... but would be a line... she wanted to make some new friends while she was here to and if there was no lone, who would she get to meet and talk with?"
11. It was an invitation that had been long overdue. Not that the princess was only just now inviting her to meet with her. That wasn't the case at all. The princess's invitation had been outstanding for a while now. However, everyt time that Ice Storm was going to get an opportunity to finally take the invite up, something else happened and she had to immediately go into something else either with her shops, or for matters of even more importance such as Equestrian Defense missions or the like. Even today something that would normally have pulled her away was prior obligations in Ponyville, but Ice Storm had decided that the waiting had been long enough. She could easily meet with the princess in the morning before heading to the train station and making her way to ponyville for the celebration there. She had already made some plans in Ponyville to help out with the festivities, plus that's were Luna and Twilight were, both of which were ponies that she had a personal history with so she felt it proper to attend the celebration that they were hosting. Plus it was Ponyville. Something always seemed to happen there. That wasn't to say that the celebration here in Canterlot wasn't just as important. Just she knew less ponies here and felt that she would have a better time with the ponies in Ponyville. It had been long enough though since she had seen most of them that she wondered if they would still recognize her. Those thoughts left her mind though as she trekked through the snow-filled streets somewhat early in the morning. She estimated it was only a couple of hours after sunrise. The air was still delightfully crisp and she could taste the moisture and the snow with every breath that she took. She was perfectly content with the chill that encompassed her as she absorbed the sunshine that, thanks to the snow, was bathing her from all angles. Every step she took, the soft crunch of snow under her hooves could be heard as she made her way up the palace steps. Only this time she wasn't heading to her observatory. When she reached the top of the stairs she pulled out the invitation that Celestia had sent to her. "Ahh, Mrs. Storm, we've been expecting you, Permission to enter granted, enjoy your visit," she heard and entered the palace. She almost had to do a double take. She was here at least three nights a week and the Night Guard still looked at her with some sort of suspicion. Perhaps the night guard were just that much more protective. She wouldn't really have any idea why though, but that wasn't really her business. Without a second thought, she made her way to the throne room where she had presumed the princess to be, and awaited permission to enter.
12. Neighpon. It wasn't all that long ago that Ice Storm had found herself here. Even still, that was roughly a year ago, and on not so legal terms on an island other than this one. One of their operatives had been taken by their enemy, which they had found out had been working in the region. That wasn't the only thing that they discovered, but the main mission at the time was rescuing Pathfinder. She can still remember that rainy night. The rain was good, it covered their tracks well, and made it difficult for enemies to hear them. Still, it wasn't without danger and conflict. Conflict that she wasn't expecting on this trip. That was on the Island of Ryushima, and right now she was on the Island of Horshu, just a ways north of Kyona. The city was great but she really came to Neighpon to take in some of the beauty that it had to offer. Right now she found herself in a small almost village like area that she couldn't pronounce the name of to save her life, but it was quiet, pretty, and the noodles were amazing! She always looked forward to lunch and dinner here. That being said, it was actually right about lunch time and she was already starving. She had skipped breakfast every morning just so that she can get the most noodles that she could. She eagerly sat at the outdoor cafe and and awaited her waiter. Thankfully, they had menu cards that she could fill out because she still wasn't all that great with Neighponese yet. she circled the veggies that she wanted in the noodles and then circled the largest bowl and put the number '2' next to it. She gave the menu back to the waiter and smiled before signalling to wait a second. She had almost forgot to circle her tea, which she liked the red clover tea with strawberries and honey. It was delicious. Once she finished that, she simply awaited for her food to arrive and looked around to the countryside. The weather was a tad bit overcast but nothing that she disliked to be honest. Not that she would ever tell Celestia this directly, but she wasn't a very big fan of the sun. in the mornings and evenings if you even looked in a certain direction you were blinded, and if you needed to look up for a pegasi or anything during the day, you were also blinded. It was an issue that most ponies easily work around, including herself, but she still didn't like being blinded on occassion. Cloud cover prevented those situations. As she looked out, she could see a very, very faint breeze blowing in the distance through the treeline of the forest. She wanted to venture in it, but she had no knowledge of the layout of this land. For all she knew she could get lost in there or worse. She only have a vague idea of what predators could be lurking as well. Nothing really worth the risk of sightseeing. Though she had heard about some tours through the safer parts of the forest. She might look into those. Not that she couldn't defend herself of course, but she was here on vacation. She'd much rather not have to fight some big predatory thing because of a situation she needlessly put herself in.
13. Most of Equestria is filled with places that can be both magical and dangerous for ponies. A standard side effect from living in a world where magic is at the whim of most creatures. Very few decide to use their magic to help others, and most non-sentient beings with magic is more apt to use it's magic to try to kill a pony for food rather than help you out of any dangerous situation that a pony might find themselves in. One of these places, is the Frozen North. In fact, it's dangerous enough that many ponies wont even attempt to go out into it. Not because the don't want to... well, okay, a lot because they don't want to, but also because of the temperatures. It gets it's name for a reason and the frigid temperatures can make an unprepared pony suffer from hypothermia in a very quick manner. This applied to most ponies. Ice Storm on the other hoof, simply used her ice armor as a wind breaker. Her affinity with ice making her much more resistant to extreme cold, but she still came prepared herself. It was likely that the deeper parts of the tundra would force even her to use some provisions of warmth to survive. She was still a pony after all and not a god. However, the fact that she could sustain herself in these conditions much easier than most ponies could was why she was one of the ponies going into the tundra. Aside from the fact that it was where the Crystal Empire was, and the area south of it had been pretty well tamed, everything north was still uncharted. In fact, She had very little information to go off of for what she could even hope to find. The only thing that she could find about the Frozen North in any records that she could find, is that they cold was dangerous, and it's where Sombra was once imprisoned. Otherwise, there was absolutely nothing to go off of. Herself and a few others had taken it upon themselves to venture into the dangerous Frozen Tundra, just to see what was out there, and what they could bring back. Considering that most ponies can't or won't come out here, this place must still be very resource heavy. These resources would go a long way to helping Equestria in many ways. The group that she found herself in was a simple one. A unicorn that she presumed was from the far east, judging by the name but she never verbally tried to guess where he was from. She though she remembered his name as being Nensho from when they first met up for the expedition. One of the other companions with her was a changling. She had met quite a few of them in her time and overall had a rather fond experience with them. there were a couple that seemed to be a bit too skiddish to really interact with, but none of them were hostile. This changling was the same way. In fact, she was a medic. She didn't know how hearty a changling was in regards to cold climates, that the hard carapace would be a benefit or if it would make them easier to freeze. but she supposed that they were about to find out. Naturally of course, they would always have a shelter if things got to nasty weather wise. she could almost instantly summon an igloo for them to stay in and shelter them from wind and provide warmth. The last companion that was with her was an Earth pony named Kappi. She couldn't really say that she knew him very well, but he came to her as a navigator and was interested in coming along. A navigator in a place that a pony can easily get lost in, was very much appreciated. She wasn't a total novice at it herself, but having a pony who's entire thing is navigation rather than a pony who read a few books on how to navigate is much better. Knowing her luck, she would end up getting lost and then EPIC would have to seen a regiment to try to find her. At least she hoped that they would. She looked around to everypony else as they sat inside an igloo that she had made for the first night. Enough holes in the door to let oxygen in and a small fire under the chimney way kept the igloo warm for the other ponies. She made sure to sit as far away from the fire as she could though. "So, where is everypony from? and what made you all decide to come with me?" she asked trying to start a conversation for the evening.
14. To say that there were butterflies in her stomach as she waited at the end of the aisle for her bride to make her way down would have been an understatement. They certainly didn't feel like butterflies. She had faced death in the eyes many times. What with the events within the Spire, the missions that she's been on with EPIC. Her term in WhiteScar, her Tour in Neighpon, Her delve within the Crystal Caves looking for something that could save the entire pony kind from diseases. Her trek through the volcanic lands of the dragons to save her best friend. She had been through a lot of scary things, but none of that ever made her any more nervous than she was right now. Everything that she had aspired to be in her life was leading up to this very moment. Fire Heart. The one pony that she cared about more than any other pony in Equestria. To her, even the princesses were pawns when talking about her. Okay, perhaps that's a bit of an overstatement, but still. Fire Heart was the fire inside of her that kept her going and kept her on the front lines. She she gave her the drive and the will to protect others because in doing so she was protecting her as well. Now, after years of dating, and fights, and wars, and kidnappings. Everything was finally coming to a sense of closure. She stood there in the center of the Canterlot Gardens, at the end of an aisle that had been made specifically for her and her fiance. She boasted a white dress, with frosted embellishments flowing through the fabric, giving the dress the feel of flowing ice. Definitely a dress befitting of an ice mage, her topaz earrings and maneband melding with the ensemble quite elegantly. The cloudless sky gave way for the sun to glimmer off of her dress, and just enough of a breeze to accentuate the flowing design. She paid the weather ponies a good amount of bits to make sure they had absolutely perfect weather for the event Not too warm for her, but not cold for anypony else. She could feel her legs quivered a bit, both from standing there for a bit and because of the nervousness that was being felt. She looked around to all the ponies that had gathered for her wedding and smiled. This right here, was why she did what she did. And she never felt more proud of herself for it.
15. Hello Everypony! This is the OOC sign up for the Wedding threads for Fire Heart and Ice Storm. This has been a plan in the works for a while and we finally have the time to make it come to fruition. That said, the wedding will take place in two parts. One thread will be specifically for the wedding itself that will start pretty much at the wedding ceremony. The other one is going to be the reception for everypony to mingle. Both of them will be set in the Canterlot Gardens. The date that the thread will actually start is still yet to be determined. 16. My how the weather in Canterlot had changed. Just a few weeks ago, Ice Storm was happily in her element. It was still nice and cool, bitterly cold for most ponies. That was then though. Now it felt like the Canterlot Weather Team was trying to get an early start on Summer and skip spring completely. It was really, really hot, and very, very balmy. So much to where Ice would start sweating the moment she walked outside of her shop. True, she was a mare that was equipped to counter this type of extreme weather for a short period such as an evening or two, but there were others that wouldn't. Then again, she also understood that there were ponies out there that would find this kind of weather acceptable. In fact her wife was one of those ponies. With her being a fire mage, she could handle the temperatures in the upper extremes just as easily as Ice Storm herself could be at ease in extreme cold. It definitely had some perks, and sometimes it was impossible to see inside their windows. She also really couldn't say to much about it either as they did have some really, really cold days this winter. Cold enough to where the mare of ice herself was feeling a bit chilled. It was only fair that there was some warmer days as well for normal ponies to recover from such a cold spell. Having just finished in her shop for the evening, and not having to go into the observatory tonight, Ice Storm started making her way towards the park. She would probably head towards the observatory at some point that evening anyway. She loved being there. There was so much to look at and take in. Most ponies would call it studying, but she called it inspiration, and a desire to know. She could see so much more of the stars and the sky from the observatory that the constellations that were here from the surface of Equestria while grand, were minimal in comparison. The more she looked through everything though, the more she realized just how lucky they were that things worked the way that they did here. From what she had studied, most planets orbit their systems stars, but that didn't seem to be the case here. Deep inside she wanted to know why, but at the same time, she didn't care. There was a balance here, and things that could be know that, in the grand scheme of things are better left unknown. The one thing that she knew right now though, was that it was just out right hot! She might have to go the the observatory anyway just to be inside. A small flick of her magic, and anypony that walked by her would instantly see a sheen on her coat from the moonlight. That sheen would be caused by the reflection of the moon off of the thin sheet of ice that was constantly coating her. It was just thin enough to be sustainable without any issure, and the fact taht it was made with her magic meant that she could allow it to conform to her body, and be flexible instead of rigid like ice usually is. It was the perfect way to keep cool on a balmy spring evening in Canterlot as she made her way to the hill that she grew up on when she first came to the city. She didn't know why, but she was always drawn to this hill. No matter where she went, or how far away she was. This one spot in all of Equestria constantly spoke to her, pulled at her, and left her to ponder on the events that led her to where she was today. There wasn't anything fancy about it either. Just a standard oak tree, and a hill that overlooked most of the park. Yet once again she found herself in its presence. She gave a gently smile as she laid her blanket out on the grass. This was even more important now so that she wouldn't get grass in the ice that she was channeling and ultimately get it stuck in her coat. She could easily get it out with a shower, but she'd already used all of her hot water for the shower she just took and knew there wouldn't be any left by the time she got home. A small part of her couldn't help but wonder if it was the steam from her shower that helped make it so muggy outside tonight. Surely one two hour shower wasn't enough to do something like that right? Once she was satisfied with her placement, she laid down herself on the blanket and looked to the stars, zoning everything else out as much as a professionally trained tactician and scout could. She was almost always completely alert to her surroundings and ready for most any surprise. However, that sometimes made it hard to relax because she was always on guard to expect something. It was Equestria after all. There was never a dull night. She had enough secret missions under her belt to acknowledge that. In fact, that would be what she would reflect on tonight. AS she looked up to the stars, she reflected back to the time that she was in Whitescar, right after WRAITH had released what she now called the Rage Plague on Askr, turning their allies into mindless, enraged, monsters. However, just like every disease, it always has a cure if you're willing to work hard enough to find it. Thankfully they did before it created too much of a catastrophe. She remembered taking a good hit that fight as well. She was good at defenses, but that was when she learned not to be over cocky with her defenses. Just because she can manipulate the density of the ice around her, and can make it stronger than most steel, doesn't mean that it can't be broken. She found that out the hard way in that fight, but even then her hoof was force, no one on that team looking back had much in the way of any good ideas with how to deal with the infected bous. With a small sigh, she let her head hang while she lay next to the tree, still deep in thought.
17. ~~~Ice Storm~~~ Only a few moments after the Gala had officially ended, Ice Storm had told her very special marefriend to wait in park for her. She was already planning on throwing a small bit of an afterparty and the park seemed like as good of a place as any. Everypony was already here for the most part so they wouldn't have to go anywhere to be a part of the fun! She herself though had to go to her home real quick and fetch a small table, a cloth, and the five bottles of the Champagne that she had left over from Hearth's Warming Eve. It wasn't that far from the park to her shop and home so she was relatively quick in obtaining it. It looked like a lot of ponies hadn't even made it out yet! She sat the champagne on the now clothed table along one of the park paths. Specifically the one that intersected the exit from the Gardens and the ballroom. That said, she couldn't have asked for a better night to do this with. Luna's moon was high in the sky, and her stars glimmered light down upon all of the ponies under them. Whether they stayed for the after party, or simply walked home, tonight was a wonderful night for stargazing. She would have to make some time for doing just that when she got home. At the moment though, there were a few more important things that she needed to take care of. Once more she looked into the nearly invisible pocket that was inside of her dress to make sure her ring as still there and it hadn't fallen out in her rush to get home and get everything here. Much to her relief, the ring was. She would have been heartbroken herself if she had lost something so precious to her at this point. With a soft smile she let the pocket close itself up and looked around the park. It seemed like the Gardens were just now emptying as well. She wondered how many ponies would end up sticking around. She supposed she wouldn't have to wait too long to find out. With a small flick of her magic, she had the bases of the bottles surrounded in ice so that they would be chilled, and she began setting an array of glasses down along the table as well. She would be more than happy to pour a few drinks for other ponies while she was waiting for her marefriend, in what would be the most important night of their life for the foreseeable future. She also couldn't help but wonder if the princess would make an appearance as well. She couldn't get her hopes up too much though. It has probably been quite a long day for her already and rest would probably be good for her so she understood if she couldn't make it. Although she did note that the gardens looked a bit more scorched now than they did when they first went into the Gala earlier that night, making her wonder what happened in the gardens.
18. It had been a few months since Ice Storm had been to the castle. In fact, it had been most of the summer. For the past several years now, Ice Storm had been running her Snow Cone shop in Ponyville, and while it was an amazing business in the summer time, it wasn't that fruitful in the winter. She had tried opening the store here in Canterlot before but it didn't really take off well in the location that she had. She decided to move it to Ponyville just over about four years ago. Her mother was a bit upset to see her go away during the summers, and truthfully, Ice Storm didn't really like leaving either. However, she couldn't rightly just stay in the castle and just live off of the princesses. Not after her mother had done so much for her. It had been her that had taught her how to refine her magic, and how to manipulate the ice and snow better than anypony else around. It was this mastery of Ice that let her open her business, and is what allowed it to flourish. Ice Storm remembered like it was just yesterday how they had come to be. How she was laying in the park during one of her walks while her moon was at it's peak in the sky. She remembered the following conversations, the flash of light, and her reaction to the story that had been given to her. From that day forward, she had looked to Luna as her mother, taking in her words and following her lessons and rules. She didn't always like them or agree with them, but she was never in any position to protest them either. Especially since for the most part most of the rules were easy to follow and boiled down to treat everypony with respect and dignity. Something that she felt was a given anyway, with the exception of the upper class nobility. Ice Storm always had a distinct dislike, and almost hatred of nobility for what it did to her original family. She wouldn't go out of her way to disrespect them, but she would most definitely be curt when dealing with them when she had to. Most of the time she simply chose to avoid them. All of that was more in the past though. Today she sat on the return train from Ponyville to Canterlot. Ponyville had just seen it's first blast of cold and it's first snow. With that in mind, she said her temporary good-byes to her friends in Ponyville and told them that they could always come see her in Canterlot over the winter months and of course she would be back for Nightmare Night with her mother, as they were every year. The train itself was nothing unique. Just an ordinary train. She was already on the second day of the ride back, and was sitting in the passenger car. The would be pulling into the station soon, so she would need to be ready. She knew that a lot of the ponies would also be getting off here so she wanted to make sure she was ready to go just like everypony else. She imagined that her mother would be waiting of her at the station, presuming that she was able to get away from her courts. Of course it was usually Celestia that took care of the day courts, and the train was supposed to be coming into the station at around noon. It was now eleven fifty-seven. *DING* We are now approaching Canterlot Station. Estimated arrival time is two minutes. For our passengers who are departing us, thank you for choosing The Equestrian Express, for those who are passing through on the way to Solstice Heights or Stalliongrad, please remain seated until the departing passangers have left. There will be a four hour lay over while the train is resupplied and refueled. Please feel free to explore and stretch your hooves a bit afterwards. All departees should report to the baggage car to pick up the belongings that could not fit in their personal rooms. That said, we are pulling into the station now, please remain seated until the train comes to a complete stop, and again, thank you for choosing The Equestrian Express. With that Ice Storm gathered her belongings with her magic and began to organize everything in her saddle bags. Once she had everything where she wanted it, she waited for the train to stop before standing up and following the rest of the passengers outside. It was quite cool outside, but perfect for Ice Storm. Being pretty much one with the element of Ice, her body temperature was a lot lower than most ponies, so she could withstand the cold a lot better than most. It took quite a lot to get her temperature down to a near fatal level, but didn't take much for the temperature to go the other way. An average pony temperature for her, was a near fatal fever. As she stood outside, her saddle bag on her back, she moved to the baggage car which had the rest of her belongings. It wasn't much. Just a few more suitcases. She didn't bring much because she presumed that she would still have a good amount of supplies from her last stay. Once she had her bags, she proceeded through the station to the landing platform and began to look out for her mother, or if she couldn't find her, the lunar guard that she would have sent to get her.
19. A few weeks had passed since the night of the attack on the Crystal Empire, and while it seemed that most everything had been recovering quite well, Ice Storm still had what was left of her wound on her side from when the spear had cut her. She was moderately surprised it was taking as long as it was to heal but at the same time, the salve that she had was going to make it to where it healed without any sort of scar, so the slower the process the better it was working she presumed. She did not that the wound itself had been sealed and mostly the bandages where only there to keep the healing salve in place for it to do it's job. She had already been closed now for just over a week, and she was relying on her funds from her Ponyville store to keep herself afloat right now. Her magic use she felt could get her by now, but it still left her a bit weak at the end of the day if she used too much of it. She made sure to try to use a bit more ever day to try to increase her natural resistance again. With any luck, she could open again in a few days and begin serving all of the ponies here in Canterlot once more. For tonight though, tonight was a night of relaxing for her. she had spent a lot of the day out trying to get things prepared as well as going to the herbalist for a new supply of the salve that she needed to keep on her side. She already had everything set on her, and now she found herself resting under her favorite tree in the park just looking up to the sky. The freshly risen moon glinted off of everything on the ground as the silvery light basked and graced itself upon the landscape, casting shadows that some could describe as spooking while others could explain them as awe inspiring. Ice Storm would always take the latter. She always found everything about the night skies intriguing. She liked how the stars aligned in the skies and that depending on how you looked at them, different shapes could be seen. her own icy blue coat was vibrantly reflecting the light from the moon where it was visible, although holding a more silvery tone than normal from the natural light given from the lunar beacon. The bandage around her waist also glimmered a bit, although was quite obvious to anypony that could see into the park. "So many things have happened in so many different ways... and I'm not completely sure that I even understand them all..." she started to herself, using a small amount of magic to open her saddle bag and proceed in making herself a snow cone. "I can't help but wonder what is going to happen next, but whatever it is... I would very much prefer it not to happen for a while, at least if it's something that's going to cause harm to ponies. I don't think I could handle any major catastrophes again for a while..." she finished with a sigh as she took a lick from her cone and just peered into the sky.
20. Celestia's sun was rising in the eastern part of the sky, though in this region Ice wasn't really even sure that the sun was even under Celestia's control anymore. This was technically on the border so it was possible her reign may stretch out this far, but no pony could rightfully be sure anymore. Ice Storm looked over the terrain that lay in front of them, and it didn't look at all forgiving. If fact, she was fairly certain that with as many dangers as were here, the Everfree Forest was a safer place than trying to traverse this geyser filled, lava pitted, crevice riddled stretch of land. It looked like just about everything here could easily remove a pony from existence. Regardless of how dangerous the task in front of them was, the group of ponies were here for a reason. One of their best friends, and one of Ice's closest had been kidnapped by a dragon. A dragon that was wanting a rather large ransom for the prestigious painter. Ice was determined that this dragon was not going to get a single bit, and that she would do everything she could to help get her friend back. Naturally, Moondancer and Pocket Change felt the same way, and while she didn't know too much about the grey unicorn, as she had only met him during a few of the Spellbound meetings. Outside of that she never really had much of a chance to speak with him otherwise. The few times she had though, she could tell that his heart and mind were in the right place. Right now though, her thoughts weren't about him, or Moondancer for that matter. At least, not in that sense. She was more concerned about Pressy and her safety. After all, as long as they were still together, they knew that they were as safe as they could be. The didn't have the same luxury of knowing if Pressy was even still alive. Ice shook her head at the thought. "Come on Ice, stop thinking like that. This is Pressy we're talking about here. She's definitely no slouch when it comes to holding her own." She told herself confidently. "Then again, we are dealing with a dragon...." she said starting to now second guess herself. She took another gander out to what was in store for them. It was bad enough that they knew that they were going to have to deal with at least one dragon. The tricky part was the fact that there were many dragons here. This was their migration site after all. What if they accidentally went into the wrong dragon's lair and demanded that they released a pony that they didn't have? Sure they had a description of the dragon to go off of, but they couldn't be certain that they wouldn't run into multiple dragons of that description around. One of the geysers not too far away from the went off, and attracted her attention. That was another thing. They would have to be super careful traversing through this. For all they knew, dragons weren't the only things here. While she was fairly certain that they would be able to see something coming after them fairly easily, the same held true for what they were seeking as well. There wasn't a whole lot in the way of cover that they had to work with so anything would be able to spot them, and should any other random dragon become hungry and decide that they would be a good lunch, they didn't really have many options to hide from them with. There were no trees, no bushes, no anything. There was a few areas that had some larger rocks than others but that was about it. Nothing that would provide them any real protection from a flying reptilian with fire. It didn't really protect them from anything else either. The were completely exposed to all of the elements. Thankfully, Ice could at the very least keep them from being roasted alive from the heat given off of the ground itself. If need be, she could cast her ice layer on the three of them that would act as personal air conditioners at least until it melted. She turned back to the other two as the looked to appear to be waking up themselves. "Alright. Now that we are here we need to come up with some sort of plan. This heat won't be a problem for any of us. I have enough control over Ice to make sure that we don't overheat. Or even stay at a comfortable temperature for that matter. With that in mind, I did a quick scan of the area that we're most likely going to be going through, and.... it's a compete wasteland. It's filled with geysers, lava pools, and crevices that could swallow a pony whole. To top it all off, I didn't see anything that we could stick to for cover, so during most of this journey we're going to be out in the very wide open with no where to run should any dragon decide they want breakfast that morning. Not to mention, we need to narrow down the general location of where this beast is in this caldera. The last thing I want to do is go into the wrong dragon cave and make more dragons angry than we need to. One crazy, raging dragon is more than enough for me," she spoke to them awaiting their responses.
21. To say that the expo showing off all of the ancient materials wasn't interesting would be down right hypocrisy. Walking around and seeing how the ponies of the very distant past did things was fascinating, and often times lead Ice Storm wondering why they still didn't use some of these methods. At least to her, they seemed more efficient than what was currently in place. There were many things from wooden pegs to hold everything in place, old tools that were used to make shelters and buildings, and even old books that showed what the earlier generations of ponies were interested in. There was so much culture in this expo that it was dripping with knowledge for those who wanted to find it. A series of older books caught Ice's Eyes as they were still legible for the most part and had an odd title, Expect the Unexpected. "Well, Nothing bad has ever come from reading a book right? Except for maybe a few nightmares," she said to herself with a small giggle. She opened it up and began to take a look inside not sure what she would find. She was hoping for some insight in how the earlier ponies thought so that she could perhaps apply some of their thought process to her own life and perhaps make things even easier. What she found though was a some odd phrasings that she really didn't understand, and some of it was in a language that she wasn't really familiar with. Most of it was fine and she could make it out easily, but the age of the book had made it to where some of the ink had smudged making it difficult to read. "Perhaps I can get somepony else to help me. Another pair of eyes can't hurt either," she concluded as she began to look around the room for somepony that looked like they could be interested in something like this to help her figure it out.

Meet, Ice Storm! Mistress of Ice magic and runner of her own snowcone shop and ice sculpture business!
23. ~Yay yay yay yay yay YAYYYYYY!!!!!!~ To say that Moondancer’s excitement overflowed from every fiber of her body would have been quite the understatement. Her parents had to make a trip out of town for the weekend, so they left Moondancer to look after their cozy three-story townhouse in one of Canterlot’s more scenic neighborhoods. And like any outgoing, slightly-mischievous child, being left in charge of the home meant only one thing; time to let friends over! But this wouldn’t be an ordinary slumber party, for a very special pony close to Moondancer would be attending. This pony was no other than Ice Storm, a mare who up to now had shunned the moon-flanked unicorn’s nocturnal get-togethers. As a matter of fact, Icy and Moondancer hadn’t seen each other for a long time up until a few weeks ago; a reunion at the Happy Bean Café which happened to include Princess Luna of all ponies. Anyway that night under the starts served to rekindle Icy and Moon’s friendship, and as part of that rekindling, Moon managed to finally convince the unicorn of ice to stay the night at her place and have a little party of sorts. Ice Storm wouldn’t be the only pony to attend however; Moondancer got one of her good friends from the university, Dazzle Dawn, to stay the night too. Since Dazzle graduated from Princess Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, the white-coated mare hoped Icy and Dazzle would remember each other. And when then did, Moon was sure that the two would get along with each other just swell! But now was not the time to dwell on what’ll happen; as a grandfather clock rang at 6PM, Moondancer busied herself by scrambling to do some last minute cleaning around the townhouse before it was presentable. And as always, the young mare waited until the last minute to get a start on it. Summoning a broom with her magic, the unicorn hoped she could finish sweeping before her friends arrived.....
24. For Rarity, it had been just another average day at work in the Boutique. Customers had come and gone, placing orders picking up dresses, and offering up cheery smiles and pleasant conversation. It was now approaching evening and the rush on the shop had died down, the shop had cleared out and Rarity now had the peace of mind with which to exact her craft, fashioning the most fabulous of dresses from little more than creative thought and a little fabric. Presently she was hard at work sketching up some designs for a dress ordered by an important client out of Trottingham. With each line she added to the sketch, she became increasingly pleased and soon she was most excited to take the dress of the page and make it a reality. She just needed to add some finishing touches and it would be ready, and she'd be able to move onto the next step. Not that she was in too overwhelming a hurry. She was actually ahead of schedule at the moment, so she could have the luxury to pace herself if she so needed. Why, at that moment, she'd even be delighted to entertain a visiting guest should one arrive. She smiled at the thought but then shook her head. No, she wasn't expecting anyone to visit then. For her it was just an ordinary day; she had no idea at that moment, that for certain other ponies it might be just a little more special
25. Ice Storm woke up early this morning. Lore had been very kind letting her stay there with him while she was looking for a place of her own. than being said, she remembered what the mayor had told her before about a pony named Filthy Rich. She said that he would be the pony to talk to in regards abut a business loan to help her get started with at least enough bits to get the supplies she needs to get started. She was perfectly fine working out of a tent for a while in the market place until she could afford to purchase an actual shop, but she still needed the flavorings and something to at least keep the water contained in. She needed something almost like an aquatic tank to keep the water flowing. It made the highest quality snow when she used her magic on it, and in turn was the highest quality for snow cones, she would also need the items required for smoothies, and milkshakes as well. Looking at everything that I need, I estimate that the water tank and the blenders would be the most expensive. The water itself for the ice sculptures shouldn't be that difficult, since it's just water, and those are done by request anyway. The syrups shouldn't be all that expensive either. In Canterlot an entire bottle of one flavor was only a few bits. Then again, these treats weren't very popular there either so that may have been why they were so cheap. That being said, I should probably expect them to be a bit higher here. so lets say about ten bits-ish for each flavor, and I need... lemon, lime, raspberry, cherry, punch, grape, apple, watermelon, orange, strawberry...she thought to herself as she continued walking towards town hall. The Mayor said Mr. Rich was always by the business bulletins every morning, she she hoped that she would be able to catch him. I think that's all for snow cones, I'll also need a good supply of actual fruit for the smoothies, and a good supply of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry shake syrups. so just in syrups alone, I'm looking at. hmmm... at least a hundred and thirty bits just to get started with one of every flavor. I 'could' probably do without some of the flavors startign up and get multiples of the basics, but then I wouldn't be a true frozen treat stand if I didn't offer every flavor imaginable. She continued thinking to herself on the manner, and before she knew it she was at the town hall. Okay, so to get started with everything to get everything I need assuming all my math is accurate, eight hundred 'should' be enough to get started. That would give me enough for three bottles of flavoring syrups a piece, a couple blenders, and the water tank I'm looking for with a little bit left over to get more supplies if needed. I could go 900 to make sure, but I don't know How Mr. Rich would react to somepony asking to loan that many bits. It is a business loan sure, but that's still a lot of bits, she thought to herself concluding her estimates before heading inside.
