1. (featuring: Lightning Dust! In her first outing in the hero AU. Read her back story for info on where she is from and why!) -OS rebooted- -All systems online- -Enforcer states: Online- -Implants states: Online- -ERROR: failed to content to ECCM- -ERROR: failed to content to CCNW- -Offline mood engaged, follow standing directive- -Directive: content to ECCM, CCNW. Irrelevant to primary directive given.- -New directive: deploy the anchor at break. Unknown ware break is- -New directive: locate break, gather info to narrow search window.- Lightning Dust winched in pain for a moment as her eyes opened, the walls of text fading away from her field of view. She… Was crying? Was she? She was upset about something. Irrelevant. Looking around she started documenting the world around her. Green… Trees… blue sky. It was fit for life, just like she was told. Her home use to look like this in days long ago, forests use to be commonplace books say. She wondered why someone will care so much as to plant so many trees and water them. Seemed like a lot of work when you can just scrub the air faster and better than they can. Looking to the city before her she documented it as a small one, crude and on the dirt like old times. No flying transports or cargo ships can be seen, little to no industrial output can be seen. Waste of space and workers but a fine starting point for her work, leaving the smoking crater in the ground she takes to the skies. Up closer look the city was worthless. She was no city development team but the layout was bad, wasted space, useless buildings, useless intermixing of districts as ponies walked about wasting time. Ware are the overlords to keep the workers working? This world was going to be easy to take over and improve. But for now she must find more info about this world. Where to start? Scanning the streets below she spotted a pony in blue, he was enforcing some laws on some of the workers it seems. This world's Enforcers? Only one way to know. She dives down, slamming into the sidewalk it shatters under her legs as dust and concrete is kicked up. The cop did not even get time to understand what happened as she grabbed his head in her claws, forcing his muzzle shut as he flailed and did all he can to remove himself but it was too late, she already had him gravity locked to her claws. She looked over at the earth pony he was giving a ticket too. “I am Enforcer LDEL6370, I demanded to know where the ECO of this city is found.” She asked in a cold almost robotic tone as the cop let out muffled screams as dozens of small black tendrils forced their way inside his nose as as they emerged from around the base of her leg. “Unless you wish to have me remove what I want by force, it’s painful.” She added with without a hint of remorse as the cop flailed and shivered as if he was having a seizure as she started digging around his brain for useful info. He’d live, but he’d not be himself for weeks… Heroes? A wave of news, stories and everything this cop knew about them flooded in to her. This… This was fascinating. Far more than whatever the whimpering earth pony the cop was given a ticket to was saying to her. From what this cop knew they may be a danger to her and her the directive… -New directive: locate a “hero” and study for risk to directive- So she must. Dropping the cop in a heap she looked around the city and the onlookers as her wings opened up. “Thank you Officer Hot Coffee, you will be recommended for Enforcer training.” She says to the twitching and whimpering wreck of a cop as she took to the skies. She must find a hero and Skull Jack them, the risk they may give to her directive was far to great for her too not learn about them. Now… Where to find one.

3. Name: Lightning Dust Corporate ID: LDEL6370 Citizen ID: IPE-PLU-3-6-56LR Powers: Lightning Dust is augmented heavily with the best magitech from her home universe that is decades more advanced than the magitech in universe TK78 (The Age of Heroes universe) in many fields. The following is what her augmented upgrades allow for. Magic shield generator: A shield that forms around her body that can withstand heavy amounts of firepower but uses all of her reactor's power. As such she can not use other weapons or powers with this up and it can be overloaded. If this happens the shock can temporarily take LD offline. Gravity locks: Bult in her legs they allow her to walk on walls, ceilings or stand on speeding objects without hindering her movement. Can not be used to pick up heavier objects as they only pull her onto a surface. They can be used to pull objects closer to her if they are within a few hoofs reach. carbon mesh bones: All of her bones were heavy reinforced with with magically reinforced carbon mesh that makes them all but unbreakable except for the the most horribly powerful of impacts. Enforcer Plate: Much of her body is protected by an integrated armor that is built for frontline combat, borderline unbreakable it can withstand forces and heat that will shatter and vaporizer steel and only lose some paint to show for it. 2x APSG mk’6 TL: Two twin barreled magitech SMGs that fire tiny magic bullets in a weathering hailstorm. What they lack for in firepower per a shot they make up for in sheer overwhelming volume of fire at a combined rate of fire reaching a horrific 12,000 rounds per minute. But this overwhelming wall of magic bullets is power hungry and she can not keep up sustained fire for long before needing to cool down and letting her LAY reactor recover. Skull Jack: Deployed from her front left leg this tools looks like many small tendrils that can invade one's skull by their ears, nose or other places to slither in to one's brain and read it or worse, force somepony to do something on her behalf. It is not deadly but can leave a pony with a crippling headache for weeks afterwards. Augmented brain: Lightning Dust's brain has been heavily augmented to work faster and handle all the feedback her augmented body feeds her. It is also what enslaves her to the Corporate will of her home universe. Only in a different universe has she found limited windows of true freedom to think for herself and struggles to hold on to it. Augmented eyes: Seeing in the dark? Infrared? She can do both and can with a limited degree zoom in to study finer details or spot things farther away. EL-class LAY reactor: Her heart and source of all her powers and life. Feeding of the magic of the world it far surprises the barbaric reactors of older times and is the most advanced piece of magitech from her home universe and is decades more advanced than what meny in universe TK78 believes is possible for it’s size. Backstory: In a far away universe the finding of LAY unleashed a new age of magitech that spiraled out of control with such speed nopony knew what to do or what was coming. Flying wagons, ships than cities took to the sky. Corporations gained power from it and pushed deeper into daily life as they replaced governments and soon the Corporate wars happened. Devastating the world with years warfair with new magitech weapons ponies were forced to live in vast flying mega cities as the world below them was changed and corrupted in to something horrific. Yet the gears of progress pushed on. In this universe A pony named Lightning Dust was born. Tenacious, cold and driven to be on top she did whatever it took to follow her dreams at whatever cost to others. In a world dominated by warring mega Corporations she found her ideas not only liked but wanted by powers far greater than the famous LAY Racing team “Thunderbolts”, she welcomed the offers after losing out to joining the Thunderbolts to a mare named “Rainbow Dash”. Joining on as a Corporate Enforcer she soon found the job much to her liking and soon started to climb ranks. It was the best day of her life when she was promoted to Lieutenant as she had grown to worship them as beacons of her dreams. Rich, powerful and feared by the working class and even nobles Enforcer Lieutenants were the voice and blade of the Corporations. But she soon found they paid a terrible price for it. She was forced to undergo cybernetic implants and upgrading. Her free will was removed, she acted like her hold self but inside she was just a slave acting free. She had no freedom to say no to her masters, she did as told without hesitation and followed orders blindly hardly remembering why. In time she stopped battling it and found joy. She loved serving the Corporations. She loved the CEOs, they knew best and all were blind that did not think so. They were the true gods of ponies. Chained to there will she proved her worth and soon was promoted to Lieutenant First Class. The leader of the Lieutenants and first hoof of the CEOs she was feared in all levels of pony life as no nobel was safe from her judgment and no homeless outlaw could outrun her forever. It was here she was given her most risky orders yet, their homeworld was dieing. The years of warfare and the use of LAY was killing the world, sucking it dry of magic and resources. So the Corporations in a complex web of dealings and proxy wars began a joint project. Gate Kicker. Some of their most trusted servants were to be teleported to other universes to find new worlds to explore, expand and exploit for the Corporations. The most promising universes was named TK78, it was overflowing with magic and raw LAY, the world was livable and populated by other ponies and looked to be lacking in comparable technology. Feeling confident this was the world they were looking for they called for Lightning Dust and briefed her on her duty. To explore the world, find a weak place in the walls of the universes and deploy the universes anchor to open a permanent gateway so the armies of the Corporations can overwhelm the world and claim it. With pride she took too her duty and using the most advanced minds of the Corporations they built a small one way gate, without an anchor just keeping a gateway open for more than just a blink of an eye was difficult so she had to go alone. Trusting her fully she was deployed. Lightning Dust teleported just outside a major city and for the first time in her life found her thoughts free. All she had done for the Corporations crushed down on her like builders. The faces, tears, blood and her heartless smile. but soon as she had her moment of freedom it was forced away, locked behind doors as the implants came back online. Cut off from her home they were running on autopilot with one order hammering in her brain. Find the weak spot, deploy the anchor… DEPLOY THE ANCHOR, FOLLOW ORDERS, FIND THE WEAK SPOT, FOLLOW ORDERS! … For good Enforcers follow orders. Notable Allies: N/A on TK78 at the moment. Notable Personal Villains: N/A on TK78 at the moment. General Notability: Currently has no notability on TK78.
4. Lightning Dust never usually flew low. It was tacky and plain lame when your maneuvering was ruined whenever somepony was careless enough not to hear or see the shadow across the ground heading in their direction. Not to mention, she couldn't dive at all. Lightning Dust loved dives. While having a pegas-eye view of things from where she was, it couldn't be exactly said that she was flying low, but rather, low for her. There was a certain comfort zone Dust had found in higher altitudes because of all she was allowed to do within them. But cruising over the many towers and battlements of Trottingham was low to her. Simply because she could see everypony--and they could see her right back. Public attention wasn't really her thing...currently...sorta. Not that she cared at all because who cares right? Nopony needed to give two flying feathers about what she did or didn't succeed in. Even if part of it was managing to piss of Spitfire and get kicked out of the academy. Or all of it really. And now this suspension put her on edge. It didn't sit well with Lightning Dust, the way her disgrace was being dangled over dream like a guillotine ready to drop. 'Remedial courses.' Or some other stupidness. Dust was called up to meet somepony somewhere where they were to teach her how to get her act together, among other things. The turquoise pegasus continued to keep an eye out for the teacher, Storm Medley. A darker pelted pegasus mare with a cumulus cloud cutie mark. Simple as pie. And then the air began to shift, and Lightning Dust could smell the precipitation coming on. "...motherfeathers." she mumbled, speeding up and around the large clock tower, almost clipping a wing. ''Get her name, but no friggin' directions. How much more dumb could this possibly get.''
5. A pair of blazing amber eyes glared back into her own, disapproving and disappointed. Though Lightning Dust figured it had to have been more of the former. It wasn't as if she was completely unaware of what they were doing. Spitfire's hooves-off approach had made it easier to get away with, she had thought. But of course, after Rainbow Dash put all their business out in the open, it wasn't hard for the captain of the Wonderbolts to track her down and remove her lead pony badge before directing the AP's to escort (read: shove) her away from the academy clouds. Weeks had passed, while Lightning Dust remained in a serious funk over the whole thing. What was it she had done wrong? The Wonderbolts were about being the best! The fastest flyers in all of Equestria! How could she, who pushed herself harder than any of them, even Rainbow Dash, get tossed out on her flank like she was the one with a problem? The other ponies were just collateral. Accidents that wouldn't have happened if they had just been better at flying. But wasn't the Academy all about making them better flyers anyway? The rest of the cadets didn't have it made like Rainbow Dash and herself, full of pure talent and a handicap of being rather new to advanced flight techniques. And so it had been a rather big surprise when she had been called into Spitfire's office the other day. Not an entirely unwelcome exercise, she felt, given that word had quickly spread about her failure, and hadn't received much in the way of work for her weather pony job. Maybe she'd get put on again. Maybe the captain would give her one more chance. That was a great thought... ...that was quickly banished and put in a cage when she was handed the slip of temporary suspension. The estimated date of release being..."until further notice is given." The drafts around Manehattan were unbelievably annoying. Either they were hotter than the sun, or colder than ice. At some point, Dust concluded that she had made a terrible mistake by taking the jobs few, if any pegasi wanted out in her area in the south. Manehattan was closeby to Southern Cloudsdale, and as such was deceptively easy for anypony who lived in the area to take care of. The operating word being "deceptively". Manehattan would often receive clouds in amounts that many would deem unreasonable, and while Lightning Dust would always be quick to challenge herself and her limits to the fullest, she would readily decline anything that would take as long as the day and a half spent up in the blistering heat or the freezing temperatures to get all of Manehattan clear by herself. With the reputation Manehattan had gotten as such a trouble spot though, the pay for clearing it was jacked up noticeably. Seventy bits to clear Manehattan? You'd walk away with a nice piece of change, that was for sure. Adding onto the non-commission pay from being employed and active during the course of a week? There was no bigger reason to suck it up and head out there. Lightning Dust had taken it upon herself to claim the job, and do it solo at that. The aforementioned hot and cold fronts were colliding, high above the skyscrapers and massive structures that were strewn about the big city. She timed herself to arrive in Chronos Square at exactly twelve am of the previous day, and went to work with nearly no breakfast, no drink and all her motivation. Clearing the clouds around the heart of the place was actually pretty fun. From experiences she didn't wish to go into too much, Dust had managed to set off a more controlled version of her midair twister, pulling the clouds in whilst not interfering with the lower atmosphere, where it could and would land on the ground, and rampage through the city. She sat back on a leftover cloud far off while she watched her handiwork. At the very least, she had managed to get that under control. Of course, at this point, she had decided to take a break and shot down below for a bite to eat. Time spent with her grandparents gave Lightning Dust a sense of direction and culture in this city. She could easily get from Chronos Square to Avenue D where her great-grandmother and grandfather lived and see every inch of the city while she was at it. It didn't take long before she found a stand, and she tossed a few bits to the owner. "One knish, mustard." One savory treat of potato pastry later, and she was back up in the air, dealing with new arrivals on the way to the cumulus conventions at the perimeter of the city. Dust considered clearing it all by shearing the edges and just going round and round until the middle was finished. It was a bit tedious. but she'd leave the prettying up of the city for when she was close to being finished. For now, she would set herself to autopilot. Lightning Dust was in a steady bank to the left, mowing down the clouds from the edges inwards. Eventually, the cold had became only colder as she went, and this high up, she was having difficulty breathing or even staying awake at this point. Cutting thick clouds like these took time. Ordinarily, if scattered and all about, she'dve had this done in a few seconds, ten at the most. Here, with these snow clouds-- "Snow clouds?" she said aloud, eyes widening in alarm. She should have known. Lightning Dust had experience with just about all weather conditions, but out of the ones that gave her the most difficulty, she despised snow storms passionately. Mostly in that they were much, much too difficult for her to control alone. Something her mother had warned her about working on when she had left home. Was it a good idea to call for help? "Nah." her pride simply disagreed with her. "It'll take a while. I just need ten minutes break after this go round. It'll be fine." Lightning Dust continued her task, ignoring the frostbite nipping at her hooves and making her ears go numb. She sped up the process by keeping her wings extended before suddenly, she found herself unable to draw breath. 'I spent too much time this high up! Ponyfeathers!' Dust cursed herself, feeling the beginning of a descent toward ground. Her left wing seized up and snapped to her side, and then the right! Lightning Dust cried out in exertion as she entered the lower atmosphere, struggling desperately to overcome her frostbite-ridden extremities to pull up--but to no avail.
6. Equestrian mornings were always a thing of beauty. From grassy valley, across wheat-blanketed fields, sprawling apple orchards, and vast forest sweeps; from the lowest river plain to the highest mountaintop; from the expanses of the wild blue to the cloudy wisps at the dizzying reaches of the atmosphere, morning dawned. Fire kissed the horizon, a sultry red-orange glow that stretched its lucid rays across the earth, sea, sky, and aether. A lone pegasus gingerly closed the locker door, hoofing the lock into place and giving the dial a twist. A blast of hot breath escaped her nostrils as she stepped out of the locker room. Freshly awakened muscles twitched beneath goldenrod-yellow fur while a jet black mane and tail ruffled softly in the wind. Stepping into the soft orange glow outside, the mare stretched her wings to their full extent, revealing black pinion tips, contrasting starkly with her subdued fur and plumage. Sunrise was different from Cloudsdale. There was little dust or haze at altitude, allowing Sergeant Acclaim to enjoy a full unadulterated view of Celestia’s dawn. The sergeant was free of her usual regalia and appointments. No armor, saddle blankets, hoofguards, lances, tail or mane ties, or helms; only fur, feathers, and sinew. Acclaim smiled. This was was how a pegasus should live! The sergeant stretched her legs and wings, working each appendage through its full range of motion and limbering each muscle as she reached it. She was back in the Twin Cities of Cloudsdale and Trottingham for R&R to be sure, but you could never quite take the army life out of a soldier. Endless PT routines drilled into her head a fixed waking time at “the flank crack of dawn” as civilians would put it. So there she stood, her hooves on the outermost ring of Cloudsdale’s famous Cloudeseum, the sky above, the sunrise below, and horizon before her. Her warm up complete, Acclaim took a deep breath and leaped forward into the blue.
