This one was extra late. I've been pretty busy IRL and for some reason I've been having extra trouble getting things to look right lately. Is that what peeps call an art block? Either way I overcame it! (eventually ) and I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. I feel like the gems in her pocket could use some extra detail though. I might edit it a bit later. Kalime belongs to Quicklime and the inspiration for her design comes from Artyl's Diamond Dogs drawing.- 7 comments

I decided to experiment with this one by removing the lines and using the lighting and shadows to define the shapes instead. I have to say, I really like the result. Edit: Removed the background. I like the transparent version better actually. Probably because the background version had a lot of empty space in it. Besides, a darker backdrop appears when clicked on so the details that were hard to see before will show up. :3 SilverSage belongs to Quicklime.© art by me, character by Quicklime

Her sister was constantly out gallavanting all over Equestria, neglecting her duties and responsibilities to the clan, leaving the other dogs to pick up the pieces. Or she would be, except she always managed to do her share of the work before leaving. Now Rook was left supervising the pups. The little brown one was struggling to hold her axe in her awkward paws, and the light grey one kept running off. She was losing patience. No longer worried about the wherabouts of the latter - he was his mother's responsibility now - she focused her attention on the former. Her small mind tried to grasp the pup's name, but it failed her. [colour=#FEE995]"Like this,"[/colour] she said with a huff, again taking the tool in her paws and showing the pup how it was done. [colour=#FEE995]"Left paw here, right paw here. Heave!"[/colour] The cave shuddered and shook as Rook's axe made contact with the wall of the cave. Some of the rough stone fell away, revealing two glittering diamonds and ruby, still cased in the rock. Rook handed the axe back to the pup. [colour=#FEE995]"Now dig."[/colour] Her sister angered Rook for a number of reasons, but namely she worried her. Kalime loved the ponies - she was so curious about them and their lives, but she never once considered that the outside world was dangerous. Ponies couldn't be trusted, they had funky magic. Rook had seen the funky magic - it did strange things like making things move on their own or making the clouds disappear. It frightened her, because she loved her sister. And her sister was doing dangerous things. There was a clatter as the small brown pup dropped her axe yet again. Rook growled, causing the her to shy away nervously. [colour=#FEE995]"Try again,"[/colour] she said. This time, the dog managed to chip away enough stone to free one of the diamonds - the glittering gem fell to the floor of the tunnel, and the pup's light green eyes lit up excitedly. Rook picked up the gem and the axe and handed them back to the younger one. [colour=#FEE995]"You're done for today. Take these back to camp."[/colour] She turned back to the wall and began hacking away at it with her own massive paws. If Kalime doesn't get back soon, I'm getting father to send a team out looking for her, she thought as she pulled chips of stone free from the glittering gems. In her fury, she managed to collect two more diamonds, a ruby, three emeralds and a sapphire. She was about to turn back to camp when she heard the sound of paws approaching - she couldn't tell if they belonged to her sister or to the missing pup, but she didn't wait to find out. [colour=#FEE995]"Where have you been?"[/colour] she demanded, a low growl forming deep in her throat as she turned towards the approaching dog.[/colour] -
(Note if you wish to participate you need to read THIS thread first and Register there<3) It was finally ready! QuickLime had spent hours and countless bits to arrange this! Advertisements everywhere! Guest Lists! Food Prep! Spa treatments! The whole nine yards! In fact the Lime coloured Pony was pacing in front of Town hall a little nervously, mane pulled up in a high Ponytail for the event, a hoof moved to push her glasses up and for a moment a little bit of dread washed over her! What if nobody showed? What if she was fooling herself!? Though she assured herself quickly she was being foolish... The Town Hall was all prepared! There was a table near the side that was loaded with munchies to tide them over till lunch! A big bowl of delicious sparkling punch, trays of puffed pastry bites with cream cheese and spinach, peanut butter balls rolled in roasted oats, carrot and celery sticks, small cucumber sandwiches, all sorts of lite spa food ! By that table was a station with assorted teas set up, along with several pretty porcelain tea pots, so that you could brew a whole pot of your favorite tea and take it over to one of the sitting tables and enjoy it with a friend! There was Coffee as well and a small bar that was set up, though right now it mostly contained fruit juices and sparkling water, since Lime felt that the REAL beverages could wait till later in the evening... She poked her head in real quick to make sure everything was in order, getting out her check list, checking again... and again... going upstairs, checking the bedrooms, coming downstairs, checking the spa equipment (Hoof Soaks, hoof polish, curlers, make up all that goodstuff) And finally checked out the quality of the sandwiches by snagging one and muching it, she snickered since they were perfect! After the clock struck 8 am she moved to unlock the doors and put out the welcome banner, waiting on baited breath for the guests to come in, Going to sit at the registration desk, she had made each guest a name card, as well as a small bag of goodies! There was a sign by the door that said ”Please Register at the Desk! And Welcome to EQGirlCon!” This was a little nerve wracking but Lime felt like she could DO this! -

After a brisk walk to gather the plants with a dragon on her back QuickLime soon entered her home which was a rather nice building, the storefront and living space sorta seamlessly fit together, with a large hearth, walls lined with books, and assorted dried plants hanging from the ceiling, there were several pots, tea kettles, coffee makers, and the whole air smelled of spice and other such goodness. "Alright Spike let me brew you up some tea" She said and moved to let the dragon get down, once he was down she sat her saddlebags down and took out the rather sweet and relaxing smelling herb, and took it and put it in a cup, and got some hot water on to boil, pouring the nearly boiling water over the fresh leaves caused them to instantly dissolve into nothing, leaving a rich golden tea in their place. "Here ya go" Lifting the cup with her wing and sat it on the table, before going to poke around her house a bit, before returning with a few small gems, and sat them on the table "I heard dragons like these, is that correct?"

The Everfree Forest is said to be a mysterious place outside Ponyville filled with strange plants and vicious monsters. A place not fit for the faint of heart. There was light rustling as the figure of a female pony disturbed a set of bushes peaking over them in search of danger. Autumn Moon had been put in quite the conundrum. He had heard from the locals that this forest housed many a great artifacts connected with ancient lore. In other words, right up his alley-way. Unfortunately so far all he'd found was himself lost, like he was trotting in circles and a rash that refused to give it a rest. [colour=#FF0000]"Great, now what do I do..."[/colour] Autumn Moon said taking a choice hoof and scratching his agitated rump. He looked around the dense forest as he walked taking in the scenery. It was far different from anything he'd seen on his previous excisions, and hooves down it was certainly the creepiest. He sped up to a trot, pushing past a large group of bramble and into a clearing of pale blue flowers, which he made sure to avoid. He couldn't put his hoof on it, but those things looked like bad news! It wasn't before long that he came across a hut. A small hut built into a tree and tucked away in one of the deepest parts of the forest. Autumn's eyes gave a confused gaze. [colour=#ff0000]"Why would somepony be living ay out here in a dank place like this...?" [/colour][colour=#000000]Autumn Moon's explorer instinct quickly kicked in as he moved towards the hut. A few small steps at first, but they quickly built into larger ones and so on until he was face to face with the door.[/colour] [colour=#000000]He brought up a hoof, and gave three knocks on the door, awaiting a response... [/colour]

It was another brand new day, and the sun was high, and all the birdys sung while the hay bacon fried merrily in it's skillet, Ginger was humming a merry tune to herself as she finished making her breakfast, which was quickly downed in one gulp. After eating she brushed her mane and slapped her hat on, brushed her teeth, and smiled her best smile at the mirror "Yep, yep yep, t'day is gonna be a good day for sure as shootin!" She fluttered her wings and headed down to the cafe part of her shop, perched on a big fluffy cloud near the weather factory! She hummed as the coffee pots started to perk, and she put in some fresh baked goods in the display case, whistling as the windows got open and all the resturant sparkling once she gave it a good cleaning! Yes siree Robert! It was a great day to be alive! Once the first coffee pot of lite brew coffee was finished she poured herself a cup, added just a little cream and sugar, and took a sip,making her teeth brushing..er null and void... she let out a content breath once she had finished her sip, perfect ! Just how she liked it...one thing left to do now! She flew over to the window and flipped the closed sign to open before hunkering down behind the counter and took another content sip of her coffee. -

Evening Ponies and Gents! This is a very special Rp! For it's unlike any other rp you'v ever seen before! I was challenged by RoseWind to do a Rp where I use EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER I OWN, and for you who arn't aware I currently have 30 of them! So this is how it is going to go down! After this post I am going to post ONE big post with every character I own , it will be treated as a proper rp, there is a theme that I must stick to and it will be throughout the entire post. Now here is where you come in! After you'v read each characters post, you post HERE And Post which character you want to start a OneXOne OR more Rp with continuing from where I left off in my post! This way More of my characters will indeed get used! It's a first come first serve though so the first person to ask gets the rp, I'll not have 5 of you all just wanting to rp with Zecora after all Alright so the theme is Ponyville End of Summer BBQ! There will be grilled corn, Veggies, fruits, and all sorts of other delicious (and vegetarian) Meal options! So hang onto your hooves ponies! (Ooc: Go read here first : http://www.canterlot...oc-info-thread/ It was the day of the first annual Ponyville BBQ meet up! The summer season was almost over, and fall was tiptoeing in on everypony! So one last bash before the cold weather settled in was just what Ponyville needed to end the summer properly! Zecora was one of the first to arrive, BrightEyes perched on the top of her head, chin resting on the Zebra's forehead , tail waggling with excitement. In the Zebra's mouth was a basket that was filled with wonderful smells for Zecora had brought some special treats that she made with her homelands recipies! After a quick look around she moved and sat the basket on the picnic table designated for dish drop off, She had brought some delightful yams for grilling, and some sweet fruits that only grew in the EverFree forest; Zecora was really looking foreward to meeting up with all the other Ponyville Civilians and mingling proper. She went over to a shady spot under a tree and yawned "Oof I do like carrying you little one, bringing you along will make this event fun!" She said as her blue-green eyes glanced up at the bright eyed grey fox that rested on her head, BrightEyes let out a happy "YIP" at that and wagged his bushy tail. Red had been in town due to his families reunion and was more than happy to go to the picnic! He had dragged his cousin Lady along with him. He sat down a casserole dish on the picnic table that contained his favorite savory apple dish! Fried Apples N' Onions! Since frying them together made the Onions sweet. Now free of the dish he bucked his back legs in the air and went to start meeting people, Giving his cousin Lady a gentle eblowing " Don't be such a wallflower Lady, be sure to go play jah?" He asked. Wondering if any foals in the area would appreciate a good yodel lesson! Pink Lady rubbed her arm where her older cousin had elbowed her and she let out a soft “Hmpf” She did not need a lesson from the weirdo that thought he was Germane and yodeled! “I Can mingle just Fine Red darling don’tcha worry your pretty little head” She said and scoffed, flicking her tail in his face as she passed him. Eyes instantly on the prowl for any handsome stallion in the area because Lady would preffer to spend this time in the company of a gentlecolt, or perhaps her friend Gilda but she doubted she’d show up at such a place. She then facehoofed going over to the table and put her tray of fresh sweet corn on it, so that the others could grill it to their liking later “Honestly I would lose my head were it not stuck to my shoulders” She said putting a hoof to her chest, sighing slightly dramatically. Tipping her Stetson back AppleBrown Betty surveyed the picnic area which was near Sweet Apple Acres, her place of birth dontcha know? She smiled as it truly felt good to be back in Ponyville if only for a little while, after setting her dessert on the table (AppleBrown Betty what else?) She went over and teasingly messed up Pink Ladies mane, getting a rather irritated look from the pink maned pony as she fixed it “Ah Pinky! Dun be so sour! S’ a BBQ! We’re here to swim an have a good time and eat delicious grub!” She exclaimed , she was glad to see that Red wasn’t’ being such a sourpuss like his female cousin whom seemed more interested in nabbing a stallion than enjoying the festivities. You could smell the coolness seeping into the air, and Betty paused taking a gentle sniff of the air, a shiver running down her spine since the smell of fall approaching was one of her favorite scents “This year is gonna be better than the prior” She muttered, finding a good spot to ponywatch. SilverSpoon was the first of the foals to arrive it seemed, she didn’t bring anything, her parents did! So since none of her usual crowd was there she decided to go down by the water, dipping a hoof absentmindedly into the clear water she sighed, these past few days were a bit of a blur, what with her report at school, the excursion into the woods with Snails and Haywire, and then ANOTHER not nearly as pleasant one into the woods with Applebloom. It was enough to make a filly question who she was in the world! These were not pleasant thoughts to have on such a nice day but she couldn’t help it, there was no one here to pressure her to act a certain way, so for this moment she could be herself and noponyelse. “I hope they play horseshoes later” She murmered quietly, moving her hoof to rub the side of her face, she really did enjoy horseshoes. Normally Agate Bilinda Pie did not come to Ponyville! She tended to stay in her beloved Appppleoosa! As the neighborhood greeter would say! But her sister lived here, and her other sister lived nearby! So she couldn’t resist coming to see them both! It was so exciting! Agate put a plate of her Sugar and Herb cookies on the table before glancing around for anypony she knew, ofcourse she didn’t see any! Having not been to Ponyville for so long it was a sea of strangers but that was OKAY! Strangers were just ponies that weren’t your friends yet right? Right! She took a breath and walked into the thick of the crowd, today was a good day and she couldn’t wait to be a part of it! (Part One of 2 due to glitchyness)
