Prism Burst yawned softly as he landed in Ponyville, he had landed near a park bench and was rather pleased that the weather looked ship shape, but of course it did! His little girl was head of the weather team you know..! The Rainbow Maned Stallion moved to stretch on the bench, tipping into his saddle bags, getting out a small container of liquid rainbow and a cup. he poured the rainbow into the cup and stuck his bubble wand in it, swirling it around yet not mixing the colours.

After a moment he pulled the wand up and gently blew, filling the air with the most beautiful rainbow bubbles, he grinned, his little girl always loved the rainbow bubbles... aw he hoped she was doing okay ! He missed his little slugger.

When somepony blew beautiful rainbow bubbles into the air, one should except to attract attention from onlookers. One should especially beware if one of there onlookers happens to be a blonde-maned googly-eyed pegasus with a bubble flank of her own. As Derpy Hooves’s services as a weather pony were not required today, she was hence at the right place and at the right time to become enthralled by the dazzling spectacle created by Prism Burst.

Derpy had worked with Prism on occasion in the past, as the veteran specialist was especially skilled in marking dangerous work areas with rainbows. Miss Hooves, who could never resist trying to get a good taste of the spicy rainbows, never seemed to take the warnings seriously however before being swatted away by wind turbulence.

As Derpy Hooves had no prior idea that rainbow bubbles even existed before, her first and only instinct had been to swiftly take off and fly in Prism’s direction, as if she was a young filly rushing madly towards her birthday presents. [colour=#ffcc00]“Hi there Mr. Burst!”[/colour] the waving young mare cried out, mere moments before she stopped mere inches in front of the stallion’s face and hovered in position; [colour=#ffcc00]“Those bubbles are soooooo amazing! I wanna know how you make them!”[/colour]

A blue gray pegasus flew causally trough Ponyville on her work break. What a beautiful day! Spin Art flew by the two pegasi and ran into the rainbow bubbles. She crashed onto the ground headfirst. Shaking the dirt off her head she turned to the two and smiled at them.

"Hey!" she smiled sheepishly, hoping that the two didn't see a thing. Good job, Spin. Way to fail. "How's it going?"

Prism blinked at the mare in front of his face and grinned softly, recognizing the mare from a previous encounter or two "Hello Derpy! It's very simple here I'll show you!" He took out the bubble wand and dipped it into some liquid rainbow thinned down with a little water "It's just liquid rainbow and a little water so it's thinner and then..." He gently blew into the wand and out came several bubbles with all the colours of the rainbow! They sparkled like diamonds.

He glanced over at the other pony that somehow crashed..into small bubbles..and he raised a brow "..Hello there.."

[colour=#ffcc00]“Ooooooh... interesting,”[/colour] a delighted Derpy Hooves remarked as Prism Burst told her how to make the rainbow bubbles; [colour=#ffcc00]“You ever think of making rainbow bubbles for sale? You could get rich Mr. Burst!!!”[/colour] Miss Hooves didn’t know for sure if somepony else had already thought of that idea, but she thought it was a great idea anyway. Maybe the gray pegasus should one of those bubble pipes so she could blow rainbow bubbles with it and look cool!

Derpy’s bubble fantasy was briefly interrupted by a newcomer who felt like dropping in. [colour=#ffcc00]“Hi there,”[/colour] she greeted to this unknown pegasus; [colour=#ffcc00]“You here to look at the pretty bubbles?”[/colour] Why else would a pony crash into the ground other than to blow at Prism’s marvelous bubbles.....?

"That is a very interesting idea Derpy but I think it's more fun to just share them with others" He said and chuckled, blowing a few more, wiggling the bubble wand up and down as he did so to cause it to make a wavey bubble "Would you like to try blowing some of the bubbles?" He asked tilting his head, grinning slightly, more than willing to share with the gray mare that he was acquainted with..

Spin Art quickly stood up. She glanced at the air like nothing happened then looked back at the two with an uneasy smile. The rainbow maned stallion just gave her the look.

Oh... Celestia.... Spin sighed to herself. The gray mare interrupted Spin Art's brief moment with a friendly hi. Maybe this bunch wasn't so bad. "Oh... yes I was... am!" She lied. Of course she wasn't! Spin Art was having a quick practice stunt, like she would care about rainbow bubbles! Spin Art remembered flying in the air just thinking to herself, then the last thing she saw was rainbows! Those rainbow bubbles throwing herself off! But wait. Rainbow bubbles? She hasn't seen such thing! The blue and gray mare has only seen the clear kinds just like the ones on... Derpy's, wasn't it her name, flank!

Mr. Burst gave another blow. Rainbow bubbles emerged from the wand. Spin Art looked at them fondly.

Derpy Hooves couldn’t believe that Prism Burst wouldn’t want to sell his rainbow bubbles, but her questions popped out of existence as the rainbow-maned stallion offered her a chance to blow the bubbles. [colour=#ffcc00]“Do I ever!”[/colour] shouted the googly-eyed pegasus, excitedly snatching the bubble wand and its accompanying container from Mr. Burst’s hooves.

After dipping the wand in the bubbly liquid, Derpy did what naturally any other pony would do in her situation; blow rainbow bubbles right in the other mare’s face! [colour=#ffcc00]“Don’t these bubbles look lovely... uhh, Miss I-Don't-Know-Who-You-Are?”[/colour] the blonde mare warmly asked of the new arrival, even if Miss Hooves knew her line of questioning was undoubtedly rhetorical. Of course everypony likes bubbles; who didn’t.....?

"Oh!" Spin Art slowly backed away from the bubbles and waved her hooves in the air. She almost lost balance! The blue-gray pegasus leaned backward but she was able to go back to her fours. Whaaat.... "Yeah.... Yeah the bubbles are quite lovely!" Responded Spin Art. She cleared her throat and looked at the two and smiled. "I'm Spin Art. Nice to meet you both! My guess is that you two are Mr. Burst and... Derpy?" Derpy... what an interesting name. Spin Art didn't know what did that mean.

He flinched a bit and lightly put a hoof on Derpy's arm "Derpy it's not nice to blow bubbles in peoples face! And remember this is rainbow, it might burn her eyes if it pops in her face and splatters!" Prism warned her softly, he wasn't going to scould Derpy, she was just being Derpy! That's how she'd always been!

He glanced at the other and nodded slightly "Aye Prism Burst is my name actually" He said and smiled "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss..would you like to blow some rainbow bubbles as well?"

[colour=#ffcc00]“Ohhhh... sorry Mister,”[/colour] Derpy Hooves apologized as she looked towards the ground and her ears flopped downwards. She should’ve remembered that not everypony likes the spicy nature of rainbows! However, the googly-eyed pegasus when the other mare introduced herself as Spin Art; [colour=#ffcc00]“Yep, my name’s Derpy! Nice to meet ya, Spinny!”[/colour] Upon Mr. Burst’s suggestion, Derpy offered the bubble container and wand to the newcomer; hopefully, Spin will love the bubbles just as much as she had.....

Prism moved a hoof to gently pat Derpy on the head "Accidents happen Derpy dear, don't worry about it" He assured her, though was glad to see her being so generous with the bubbles! The other pony might enjoy them, he knew his little girl was always fond of them! He was prettty proud of her that was for sure, she wondered if this pony was a friend of hers!? But ofcourse, she was so popular and awesome EVERYPONY was probably her friend! That was a silly thing to wonder.

Spin Art gave a smile and took the wand from Derpy. She inhaled and blew into the wand. Three bubbles slowly emerged from it and floated in the air. Spin Art chuckled and popped one. She set her hoof down and lift up, her hooves left a track of rainbow on the ground.

"Haha!" Spin Art laughed. "That's so cool!"

[Bellosh]

[colour=#ffcc00]“I know, right Spinny?”[/colour] cried out Derpy Hooves as she flew up into the air to pop the other two bubbles, her ears perking right back up as a demonstration of the fun the mare was having again. The sparkling burst incorporate all the colours of the rainbow could never get old for anypony... at least no one who wasn’t a miser, that is. At times like these, Derpy wondered why she never got into the art of making rainbow bubbles like Prism Burst did. She especially enjoyed the thought that her bubbly cutie mark would probably stay the same anyway... maybe liking bubbles was always in Derpy’s destiny?

That question would wait another time, as Miss Hooves hovered back towards the middle-aged stallion with additional inquiries; [colour=#ffcc00]“So Mr. Burst, what brings you to Ponyville? You didn’t come to visit Rainbow Dash by any chance, did you?”[/colour]

"As a matter of fact, I was actually lookin for her, but it sounds like she's off bein amazing"He said and laughed "No time for boring old dad ya know?" He said and grinned, but inside he felt a little sad....His baby girl, all grown up and destroying people with friendship..it was enough to make a grown stallion cry! But not THIS Stallion! Get back in there tears! He shook his head to clear it and smiled "I reckon Miss Derpy that you are having a good day today?Cause I know a way t' make it even betta!"

"Oooh, what's your plan Mister Burst?" asked Derpy, curious to know about how the older pegasus stallion could make the day better; "Have you figured out how to create house-sized bubbles yet? It'd probably wreck havoc on the town... but I'd think it would be cool to see giant bubbles! Just because." Miss Hooves gave Prism Burst her puppy-eye look so he'd cough up his idea faster, not knowing how more suspense she could contain inside of herself before bursting....

"Not exactly ! BUT I'v got some hot Rainbow Cornbread with me, and am planning on making my famous Rainbow Chili! Would you like to join me for Dinner? " He asked tilting his head slightly, she was a sweet mare, and a friend of Dashes and he did want to get to know her friends better! And Derpy was probably one of her best friends!..Right?

Rainbow Chili for dinner? Derpy Hooves never had that for dinner before, but with a name like Rainbow Chili, how can such a meal possibly taste bad? "Hmmm, lemme' check my schedule real quick," Derpy answered, briefly turning away to hum a tune as she mentally went over her checklist for the day. Remembering that she had no special plans for the evening, the mare turned back to Prism to declare; "I can drop by your place tonight, Mister Burst. Uhhh... where is your house, exactly?"

"Cloudsdale, it's the big one with the lightning bolt made of clouds on the top" He said and chuckled "Bring a guest if you'd like? I'm quite excited to try out this recipe and the more mouths the better! I'm still not quite used to cooking for one, Dashie used to eat for the three of us" He shook his head and smiled slightly "I'm glad you could come " He was starting to worry that he'd not get any visitors!

[Bellosh]

“I’m not sure who’d be able to come with me tonight to your place,” Derpy Hooves warned; “But if I can’t drag anypony else, I’ll be able to eat for at least two of you..... I think.” Surely if she tried doing so, it couldn’t turn out any worse than that one time Derpy partook in a contest to eat a 72 ounce bowl of hay, right?

Glancing at the Sun’s current position in the sky, Miss Hooves realized she probably should get back to work. “I oughta’ get going, Mr. Burst,” Derpy started to fly away before showing off a final smile; “Once I get off work, I’ll be making a beeline straight for your house! Don’t you guys eat without meeeeeeeee!!!” So it was that the gray pegasus flew away from the scene, but she and Prism Burst were going to see each other again quite shortly.....
