The Academy Chapter 3 Daylight's End

Nightinggale and the other shadowbolts watched the dark shapes as They rippled and hissed. He smiled evily and then looked back to Lyria [colour=#000080]"So the Nightbringer has a few tricks i see, Very nice. Now the nightmares that are plauging Cloudsdale should give us our last wave of recruits." [/colour]He said. Remorse spoke up once more [colour=#800000]"Nightinggale dont forget about shade! He went to speak with the Changelings, remember we also offered them The love aroura that This land holds. If the queen agrees we could have even more added to our number. There would be no force in existance that could stop us from reaching our goal!" [/colour]She said hastily. Nightinggale was about to retort when the leaves behind him rustled. Another shadowbolt covered in dirt and grime emerged. He was small but taut in muscle, he had a cut along his side and he was breathing heavily. Nightinggale ran to the Shadowbolt [colour=#000080]"Did she decline? Did she do this to you? Awnser me Shade!" [/colour]He demanded. Shade continued to breathe heavily, all he could do was smile and nod. He collapsed and passed away on the spot. Nightinggale stared at the lifeless body before him. He sighed and closed his comrades eyes. He turned and smiled to Lyria, [colour=#000080]"It seems that they agreed." [/colour]

Flashbomb nodded and trotted over to a pegasus. he tapped him on the shoulder [colour=#0000FF]"Excuse me sir. Are you plauged by nightmares? And if so What are they about?" [/colour]He asked. The stallion glared at him [colour=#FF8C00]"And what buissiness is it to you?" [/colour]He accused Flash. Flashbomb stepped back and looked back to Cloud dasher. He looked back to the Stallion [colour=#0000FF]"We are the SERS and its by authority of royalty. Now please awnser the question." [/colour]He said to the stallion showing his logo to him. The stallion looked unconvinced. [colour=#FF8C00]"I have no idea who these SERS are and nor do i care...... Go away...." [/colour]He said and ran off. Flash tilted his head, [colour=#0000FF]"How does he not Know who the SERS are? I figured that every pony knew about us. It seems as though he has lost his memory." [/colour]

Lyria smiled. [colour=#800080]"Let's meet with Chrysalis and form our plan." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria disappeared with the Shadowbolts to the Queens' palace. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Chrysalis! Shall we discuss your side of the attack?"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]The queen trotted into the room, and smiled. [/colour][colour=#006400]"We shall."[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"I was thinking that after my nightmares have corrupted the entire city of Cloudsdale, we send in some of your troops for the love entilted in that city. Then we hit every other city, wiping them of their defenses, and love, and then head to Canterlot for the big finale." [/colour]

[colour=#006400]"Sounds like a plan to me."[/colour][colour=#000000] Chrysalis grinned, and Lyria smiled. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Cloudsdale is down."[/colour][colour=#000000] Lyria said as her Nightmares arose from the shadows and whispered the details in her ear. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Let's head out." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria grinned, and disappeared with some of the changeling army and Chrysalis to Cloudsdale. The shadows clung to her hooves, greeting her a welcome. [/colour]

[colour=#696969]"Your majesty of the night..."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]They whispered, and she smiled. The Nightmares started to come to her in hundreds, possibly thousands, from every single pony in Cloudsdale, even the guards. [/colour]

[colour=#006400]"The love here... It's so strong! We shall be the strongest ponies alive by the end of the conquer of Equestria!"[/colour][colour=#000000] Chrysalis giggled, and took off, stealing each ponies love. Lyria could tell that her army, and her, were getting stronger from even these small amounts. Until one pony caught her in the distance.

Carmus and his two siblings hovered over Cloudsdale shortly after Flash and Cloud arrived. Shimmer scanned the area and tagged them on her HUD, "That's Flash and Cloud down there."

Carmus nodded, "They should have this place taken care of. Come on you two, we'll spread out and cover the rest of the city. Velocity, go right, Shimmer left. I'll go straight. Keep in contact and let each other know is something goes south."

"Got it!" Velocity said and shot off to the side, landing with a light dent in the clouds, scanning the area with his HUD. Shimmer did the same on her end.

Carmus landed, pushing the dark visor from his eyes and tapping the side of his helmet, turning on the communicator attached to his sibling's masks, "Remember to look for any suspicious behavior. I have a bad feeling about this place."

CloudDasher turned to FlashBomb "[colour=#00ffff]Do you want me to rough him up? Ill gladly kick somepony's Flank[/colour]" She said in a annoyed angry ish tone. She looked around, She saw Shimmer, and Velocity fly over head. It seemed as if Reinforcements were here. She smiled to herself.

Flashbomb shrugged and Looked around at all the pegesai, He looked to Clouddasher [colour=#0000FF]"I just dont know Cloud.....if they dont know who they are there is possably no way we could What the hay?" [/colour]He said as he caught sight of 2 pegesai holding their heads and rolling on the ground. Flash motioned for Cloud to follow him. He ran over to them and crouched, it seemed as though the Pegesai were struggling against some force. Flash looked to Cloud dasher and shook his head [colour=#0000FF]"What do we do Cloud? I have no idea how to help them with this...." [/colour]He said but saw the strangest thing. Pegesai were starting to do the same, Flash stood up and saw Purple lights start to blink around them. Flash heard whisperes in his mind and shook his head to clear his thoughts. [colour=#0000FF]"C.....Cloud.....something isnt right here.... we need....." [/colour]He said but the air tensed up, flash saw every pegasus around him except Cloud and himself looking up. Flash dared to look up despite his better will, the moon had risen in the middle of the day. It glew a bright purple aroura and then Flashed. Flashbomb felt his Spirit being sapped and his memory begin to wallow, He knew the feeling to well. He felt himself begin to fall, his orange eyes beginning to become Red with the evil in his heart that grew with every moment he watched the moon.

He felt himself Twitch and snap out of it, He felt his instincts yank at him and he whipped around to see Cloud dasher about fully under the spell. [colour=#0000FF]"CLOUD! DONT LOOK AT IT!" [/colour]He yelled and tackled her. They rolled on the cloud floor under a cart. He saw Clouddasher's eyes were Red she had a hatred burned in them. Flash Shok his head Those eyes! Those evil horrible eyes! He grabbed Cloud by the Scruff [colour=#0000FF]"Oh my Tarterus Your not going to fall for this spell again! Snap out of it!" [/colour]He yelled at her. He slapped her across the face 3 times until she closed her eyes in pain and her eyes came back to normal. [colour=#0000FF]"Sorry." [/colour]Flash appologised. He heard a rumble and it pulled his gaze out of the cart to all the citizens of Cloudsdale.

A dark shadow surrounded the thousands of Pegesai Outside the cart. They watched the moon with an unending gaze, the Shadow Enveloped them. [colour=#0000FF]"Thats not good......." [/colour]Flash breathed. The Sky lit up and a large CRACK rocked the skies above. The moon had shot a beam upon Cloudsdale. The shadow Cloud lit up and sparked into blue flames. The cloud below them shook and then the cloud exploaded into a loud shockwave knocking the cart along with Flash and Cloud dasher through the air. Spinters Scratched Flash's face but not anything else due to his armor. They hit the cloud wall of a building and Flash blacked out.

Moments later Flash came to, he felt a weight on him and opened his eyes. He saw the distinctive blue and yellow mane of Cloud dasher. She was laying on him and they both were covered in rubble.[colour=#0000FF]"Ugh......get off would you kindly." [/colour]He said. He pushed her lightly of him. He sat up and groaned, He saw Cloud dasher's helmet was on the ground nearby. He grabbed it and handed it to her, [colour=#0000FF]"Here.....i think you lost this....." [/colour]He said. He Looked up around them and waited for the dust to settle. Flash stood up, [colour=#0000FF]"This is bad....we need to report this to......oh.....no......." [/colour]He said. He saw to his own distain many red eyes glowing in the dust cloud. The Dust settled only to reviel thousands upon thousands of Shadowbolts. [colour=#0000FF]"By.....Celestia......" [/colour]

The Horde of shadowbolts glared at The two Pegesai, the recent Cloudsdale residents turned hostle. They all cried a war cry and took off twoards Them. Flash gritted his teeth and slammed his Face plate down, [colour=#0000FF]"CODE RED! CODE RED! HOSTILES EVERYWHERE!" [/colour]He screamed into the com radio. He swung his hooves and hit 2 pegesai in the head only to be grabbed and swung around to be slammed face first into the wall. the horde whailing on Flashbomb's armor. He used his Martial arts combat training to Throw 4 pegesai away he grabbed another and swung him around to knock 5 others away. The horde kept flowing in hitting him over and over, His hud Flashed many Warning symbols at him. One Shadowbolt hit him square in the face sending him Flailing again. Flash landed on his hooves. [colour=#0000FF]"I REPEAT! MANY HOSTILES! CANT HOLD OUT NEED GAHHHH!!!" [/colour]He wailed as he was grabbed and slammed again he growled and yelled out. He headbutted the assailaints and spun around hitting Pegesai left and right sending them into the air and to the ground. He activated his Mask wepon system, two Shock blades shot out of his forehooves and he readied himself. ( so it stays in regular rp and not 18 rp any wepons you use must not cause gore or grusome wounds, only to disarm and incapitate oponents) The two blades sapped on his battery but were used to Taze enemies. He swung around in a tornado of flailing energy, hitting many enemies sending them to the ground. They struggled with the pain to get back up but the blade enery had sapped them beyond belief.

Flash fought as hard as he could until he felt more hooves grab him. He yelled out in rage as he tried to break free, there were just to many. [colour=#0000FF]"CODE BLACK! CODE BLACK!" [/colour]He shouted and continued to fight.

CloudDasher laughed, "[colour=#00ffff]What are they doing? Are they trying to fight? I.... I just...[/colour]" She felt different Like how she did back 2 years ago when the academy was invaded and she was corrupted "[colour=#00ffff]N..No[/colour]" She looked up at the moon, Her eyes started to shine red. She stood there submerged by fear. Suddenly she was tackled under a cart by FlashBomb who smacked her around a little. He apologized. "[colour=#00ffff]Yeh?! You can take me out for cider for a apology later, Right now.. Were getting our plots handed to us![/colour]" She was about to get up but suddenly a large boom could be heard and suddenly she was flying across the ground. Hitting her head on something, Her helmet flew off and she blacked out. A few moments later FlashBomb wakened her. She was atop of him. It would have been romantic if they weren't in the middle of a combat zone and if he wasn't her mentor. She got up and he handed her helmet to her. "[colour=#00ffff]Thanks...[/colour] She put it back on. FlashBomb muttered something about Celestia. She looked back to see hundreds of ShadowBolts. "[colour=#00ffff]Eeeh.. We can take 'em[/colour]" She smiled. FlashBomb yelled something into the com system. While he was doing this. The shadowbolts charged. CloudDasher grinned. She had hoped she could use her new "Weapon" Soon. She flipped a switch on her helmet that sent a signal down to her uniform A pair of light gloves sparked up. A sorta taser that she could use to punch and incapacitate others. A shadowbolt charged at her and she landed a blow square in there chest "[colour=#00ffff]1[/colour]" She muttered. She turned to kick out with hind-legs another flying towards her "[colour=#00ffff]2[/colour]" She said again. She managed to turn on her com's as well and said through it "[colour=#00ffff]Hey! Velocity, Shimmer. Get your Plots down here![/colour]" She yelled through the comms. "[colour=#00ffff]Your missing all the fun![/colour]" A grunt from a pegasi she hit went through the comms and she said so the two could hear her say "[colour=#00ffff]3[/colour]"

Flashbomb had gotten patially free and hit the shadowbolt holding him. He spun and hit him with the blades sending him onto his plot. He felt Something hit him in the chest, he fell to the ground and in the distance he saw a figure outline. He tried to zoom in but he felt himself hit from the side by a blunt object, A shadowbolt started throwing rocks at him. Flashbomb growled at him and ran at him with his blades Charged. Hehit the shadowbolt, he fell down and struggled with the shock going through his body. Flash sighed and turned to see something that made his heart Drop, Several Changelings had landed and ran at him. What in all things good was going on here!? He Swung his blades and landed a few blows on the opposers. The changelings doubled back and flew off to regroup. Flash hit his coms again [colour=#0000FF]"WHERE THE TARTERUS IS OUR BACK UP!?" [/colour]He yelled. He saw Cloud Dasher fighting some shadowbolts nearby with her X-12 Shock Defenders. Flash threw yet another Shadowbolt aside and Flew quickly over to her side. [colour=#0000FF]"Your taking to your Weapons pretty well!" [/colour]He yelled to her. He heard her say [colour=#00FFFF]"14,15,16,17" [/colour]He chuckled. [colour=#0000FF]"Counting tallies eh?" [/colour]They swung around and were knocking 1 by 1 every oponent who opposed them. He began to Fatigue and eventually his blades faltered. He felt blow after blow make contact with his armor. He heard Cloud dasher get blind sided and she fell, He turned to see Shadowbolts tackling her and over riding her. He felt himself grab a shadowbolt and attempt to throw him off when he was grabbed again. He yelled in defiance and headbutted the shadowbolt with the back of his helmet. His hud shut down and sparked. He kicked a few shadowbolts off of Cloud dasher. He saw her scramble to get up when more waves rushed in. [colour=#0000FF]"We need to fall ba....." [/colour]He said but was interrupted yet again as they were hit by the wave of blows. Flash hit the ground and cried out in pain, his endurance was burnt and so was his morale. [colour=#0000FF]"For the LOVE OF CELESTIA!!!" [/colour]He shouted. He kicked more shadowbolts off. His hud flickered as it tried to reboot. He grabbed Cloud dasher and pulled her inside of a building. He slammed the doors and slammed himself against them. His helmet fell off leting his spiked Yellow mane flow out. He felt the doors slam against him as the Shadowbolts tried to force their way in. [colour=#0000FF]"GET SOMETHING TO BLOCK THE DOOR!" [/colour]He yelled at Clouddasher. The windows started to break and shadowbolts started forcing their way in. [colour=#0000FF]"Great.....THATS JUST GREAT!!" [/colour]He shouted. A simple Scouting mission turning into a total Clusterbomb is just what he wanted to happen....

Velocity had been trying to gleen information from a mare when the Pegasi began turning. He threw himself into the air as he heard Flash shouting into the comms. He focused hard, erecting a force field around himself and his siblings, shielding them from the blast. When it passed, he lowered the fields, his armor slowly regenerating the energy used to make them. Velocity looked ahead of him into the dust. His mask picked up absolute thousands of life signals, but they were all corrupt. The shapes were those of Pegasi, but they were no longer blue. Rather they were an almost sickly purple tinted red. Velocity lowered himself into a combat stance as a group charged him, a sadistic grin on his face, "It's about time I got some fun..."

He said, his voice nearly a growl as he dashed forward to meet his opponents head on, using the shield-like pauldrons of his armor to push the first four back into their comrades, smacking the fifth with the flat of his horned helmet. Cloud Dasher shouted for him and Shimmer to get to them, that they were missing all the fun. He chuckled darkly into the comms as he fought, the chuckle slowly growing into a full blown laugh, heavily strained with malice as he shouted, "Missing all the fun?! This is the most fun I've had in years!!!"

He felt attacks glancing off his armor, which only added to his mirth, "Keeping count are we? Sounds like a good challenge!"

Shimmer flinched slightly as she saw the beam make for Cloudsdale, but she was protected by a force field she'd come to know as Velocity's. She checked her mask's tags. Her brothers, Cloud and Flash were all still alive. Carmus had sent out a signal around the time the beam was fired, but she couldn't tell what it had been. Shimmer looked around, seeing exactly what Velocity had. A group of ten charged her, and she lifted herself into the air, her lightning blades extending from her foreleg armor.

A flight (6) of Pegasi launched themselves into the air and charged her. She waited till they were close and activated her armor ability. She smiled with satisfaction as she darted forward, electrocuting the six ponies into submission, as well as the next three behind them in the blink of an eye. The HUD beeped, letting her know the ability was depleted and had to recharge. Shikmer threw herself back into the air, fending off another Shadowbolt as she did. She could hear Velocity laughing over the comms, and she grew worried. Her brother had a dark side that was brought out by serious combat. And on top of that he felt challenged. This was not king to end well at all.

Carmus sent a comm alert to the nearest flight of Raptors as soon as he saw the Pegasi acting up, and the beam fire for the city. When the force field dissipated, he took in his surroundings in a quick glance. There were innumerable glowing eyes around him. Carmus sighed, "So these are the Shadowbolts then?" He asked, "Well? What are you waiting for?! Come on then!!" He challenged them.

Instantly ten of them bum-rushed him, and he threw himself into the sky, looping around and shooting himself directly into their sides, knocking three out of the sky. He twisted and flew off in the opposite direction, the seven remaining Shadowbolts, as well as another ten of their companions that hadn't attacked took chase. Carmus changed his trajectory and flew back last them, wings held flat, the armor plating covering the edges crackling with energy. He flew slightly above them, flapping his wings as soon as he was above them. The energy discharged itself from his armor, sending a shockwave directly into the 17 Pegasi beneath him, a distinctive sound reflective to a deep bass drop sounding as they tumbled from the sky.

Carmus landed, compartments on the flanks of his armor sliding open and ejecting a smoking blue gem each. He took off again as another two Shadowbolts lunged for him. He brought himself crashing down into the one, but was bucked in the side by her larger companion. Carmus picked himself up and sighed as more Shadowbolts surrounded him, both on the ground and in the air. He looked at all of them threw the tinted glass of his visor, smirking somewhat, "You guys going to wait all day?"

He looked up, "Because you don't have that long."

As he finished and the Shadowbolts began to charge, six streaks of colour slamme ino them, three of them ejecting an electrical pulse much like Carmus had as they hit. As the Shadowbolts that were struck tumbled, to the ground, six Pegasi clad in the red, white and black armor of the Sky Raptors touched down around him, three of them ejecting smoking gems from their armor. Carmus looked at them through his visor, "Took your sweet time getting here." He said in a matter-of-fact deadpan.

One of the Raptors tossed him and the other three replacement gems - which they inserted into their armor - and then saluted, "Captain Carmus. We came as soon as we could upon recoeving your transmission. Sergeant Shrike at your command."

Carmus nodded to Shrike as the other Raptors set up a small perimeter around them, "Very good. There are four other operatives in the city to my knowledge. I want your flight to give them any assistance they may need. They are spread out three different locations. One in the eastern district, near the Weather Factory. Two are together in the southern district, near the Arrival Station. I will help my brother Velocity in the western district, near the Arena. I want you to keep two of your troops here with you, and divide the remainder of your flight among the rest, make sure that each is a group of three."

Shrike nodded and barked to his troops through the comms, "Gallium, Alkaline! You two cover the SERS operative in the Weather District!" Two stallions with identical silvery steel coats took off in Shimmer's direction as Shrike continued, "Psyad (Sigh-add)! Go assist the SERS operatives in the Arrival district!"

A dusty coated mare took off in the direction of Flashbomb and Cloud Dasher on the command. Carmus shot off in the direction of Velocity, barking into the comms, "Keep the channel open, and stay alive! I'll see what I can do to contact the Commander! Aut Vincere Aut Mors!"

Shrike and his Flight repeated the last sentence back to Carmus as they went to their assignments. Shrike looked at his two remaining soldiers, a large basalt stallion named Torque and and a mint green mare named Sagebrush. He smiled behind his visor as the three of them began to fight off the Shadowbolts.

When Psyad got to the Arrival District, she landed on a cloud a decent distance above the conflict, looking down on the scene below. She blinked her cerulean blue eyes and looked around for anypony resembling a SERS operative. She was often credited as having some of the best eyes of Ensis Squadron, the one assigned to training the SERS. Psyad made an irritated face when she caught no sight of who she was looking for, and spoke quietly into the comms, not sure if Flashbomb and Cloud Dasher were on her frequency or not, "Hey, you guys alive down there? I'm not seeing you. This is Designated Sighter Psyad, Flight 04 of Sky Raptor Ensis Squadron. Any SERS operatives in that Pit of Tartarus?"

(OOC: Sky Raptors use enchanted gems as power sources in their armor, something they adopted from spending a large amount of time in Zebrica. The gems are an energy source that lasts slightly longer than more conventional once, but are not rechargeable without the proper knowledge and time. If they are overloaded as Carmus and Shrike's Flight demonstrated, they are depleted instantly and need to be replaced if the Raptor wishes to continue using his weaponry.

( sorry guys for posting so fast. I graduated highschool so i got alot more time on my hands at the moment. I will keep the posts long but small in number and most of it will be filled with the battle and no real plot lines except with those in battle. If you feel your getting over whealmed and need a recap of events let me know and i will send a recap to you to catch you up. Dont want anyone feeling left out.)

(this battle is heavily based off of the battle in the matrix between neo and Smith. Watched it recently again, good show.)

Flashbomb felt the door heave one last time and he was thrown back. He looked at all of the red eyes staring at him with profuse hatred. He glared at them and readied himself. He heard a crash as the wall to his right was breached by a battalion of Shadowbolts. Flash whipped around and was hit square in the face by a hoof. He went flying with the force and busted through the window behind him. He knocked many Pegesai out of his way and rolled. He recovered with a flap of his wings and deflected many blows with his forehooves. (Flash lost his helmet so he has no coms) He knocked 2 back into the crowd only to be pitted against 4 more. He spun hiting many shadowbolts out of the way and threw 5 more into the crowd. He whipped around and got hammerhoofed ontop of his head. He fell to all four hooves and whimpered slightly. The shadow bolt whom hit him leaned down (Nightingale) [colour=#000080]"Your defeat is inevitable, wonderbolt. You cant hope to stop us now....." [/colour]He whispered to Flashbomb. Flash gritted his teeth, he had no idea how Cloud Dasher was faring now on her own. He looked up with a glare. He flapped his wings and knocked into Nightinggale's stomach. He stopped mid hit to see him tumble through the air and regain himself. He glared at Flashbomb only to laugh at him. [colour=#000080]"Finnish this waste of Feathers!" [/colour]He ordered. Flashbomb felt himself assulted by many Pegesai. He shook and knocked a few off, He wasnt completely trained for this as Velocity and Shimmer were and felt his endurance falter once more. He fell under a pile of Blows and scratches. He finnaly pushed the failsafe on his armor. It charged up and shot a Shockwave of Energy around him. Many pegesai fell into Submission and faltered off of him. He flapped his wings and took off into the skies above.

(Now would be a good time for rescue yes?)

Chrysalis stood atop a statue of a wonderboth, though she had changed it to a shadowbolt image, and watched the battle and grinned, "Yes yes my lovely changlings!" she laughed wildly, "The love, it will all be ours!" she grinned maddly and her eyes narrowed, "Then nothing will stop us!" she said with glee, "We will be almighty!" she said as her hive swarm swept over Cloudsdale and she watched in devient glee

Sundial trotted around in her room. [colour=#daa520]"It's been 2 years..." [/colour][colour=#000000]She said a bit sadly. [/colour][colour=#daa520]"The shadowbolts should return here soon." [/colour][colour=#000000]She moved to her closet and opened the doors to see a manikin wearing golden armor and purple armor. It was something she had made when her mother told her. She had it custom made, even came with a mask that Dawn made for just for her. She looked to the gleaming armor, then to the window outside. She knew something was wrong and had a fairly good guess of what it is.[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Gadget, Swift Blitz, and Time were trotting around Canterlot when it happened. Gadget stopped dead in his tracks, he felt his eyes light up and then saw it, a battle, happening between shadowbolts and SERS. The battle was a difficult one that resulted in Flashbomb flying away, he looked injured. Gadget opened his eyes wide as Blitzy and Time came back into sight. [/colour][colour=#0000cd]"We need to find Flashbomb!" [/colour][colour=#000000]He said.[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Why would we need to to find Flash?"[/colour]

FlashBomb called to CloudDasher to help him with the door, Unfortunately she was busy with her own problem A group of about 6 ShadowBolts attempted to enter the back way of the building. She barricaded the door as best she could but to no avail, FlashBomb had been overran and soon after CloudDasher would be too. She panicked not knowing what to do.. Suddenly a voice came through her comms in her helmet. "You guys down there?" CloudDasher smiled "[colour=#00ffff]Nice of you to join us Flight 04, This is Recon 1-1 from the SERS, Were pinned in a building to the south of the train station..[/colour]" She looked over to FlashBomb "[colour=#00ffff]We may have a pony down, Get your plot down here and give us support![/colour]" She managed to yell through the comms before the door finally opened. CloudDasher turned to face her opponents. "[colour=#00ffff]You want some? Come get some![/colour]" She yelled as she charged the shadowbolts. She landed 4 square blows into a pony's stomach "[colour=#00ffff]Thats 15[/colour]" She said. She was about to block a blow from another attacker but something grabbed her from behind. A pony that had been attacking FlashBomb had gotten the drop on her. She wiped her head back landing a blow square on his forehead. the stallion stumbled back in pain and CloudDasher finished the job by smacking him in the jaw. "[colour=#00ffff]Thats 16![/colour]" She yelled. She had no idea what condition FlashBomb was in. She wanted to get over to him and give him First-aid if he needed it. But they just kept coming. "[colour=#00ffff]17[/colour]" She landed a blow on a pony's chest. A blow came from another ShadowBolt and hit her chest. She grunted in paint and another blow came from the back. She was grabbed from behind and held in a way that another shadowbolt could continue to deal blow's to her underside. The shadowbolt hit and she grunted in pain.. She was winded from the fighting, They just kept coming. Another blow made her scream in pain. She struggled to get free. A little beep in her headset told her the X-12's were ready again. She smiled and flipped them on. The pony that was holding her was instantly incapacitated. She landed another blow on the one who was hitting her. She looked around. They just kept coming. [colour=#000000]She jumped from her perch in the way a cat would jump from a shelf. She glided a short distance until she was directly above the building and threw herself into a dive-bomb. Psyad penetrated the cloud roof with little effort, and extended her wings a few seconds before she hit the ground and glided directly into a Shadowbolt that was advancing on Cloud Dasher. Psyad chuckled again from where she stood on the unconscious pony's back, tilting her head, [/colour][colour=#A52A2A]"Looks like you could use some help?"[/colour]

She took off again as another Shadowbolt lunged for her. Psyad flicked her tail in annoyance before tapping the side of her visor, angling the gun-like device on the side of her armor down at her opponent, [colour=#A52A2A]"Down boy!" [/colour]She said as a bolt of electricity shot from the barrel, striking the Shadowbolt squarely in the chest. Psyad would have preferred to stay on her cloud and provide covering fire, but with her allies being in a building, that was a luxury she couldn't afford.

Shimmer grunted as she was knocked back by a kick to the head. She shook her head to clear her vision, keeping herself in a ready stance as the offending Shadowbolt lunged for her, a re-purposed Weather tool held in his mouth to strike her. Shimmer realized she wouldn't have time to react, her vision was still blurred, and her mask ability was still recharging from the last time she used it. She braced herself for the impact of the tool, but instead saw the Shadowbolt struck by a stallion wearing the armor of a Sky Raptor Enforcer, who turned to face the other Shadowbolts and fired a scattering blast of electricity from the device attached to his armor. Another Sky Raptor landed beside her, [colour=silver]"We're here to assist. Enforcer Gallium,"[/colour] [colour=#000000]he gestured to the Raptor firing at the horde, and then to himself, [/colour][colour=silver]"And Barrager Alkaline of Flight 04, Ensis Squadron."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Shimmer nodded, her vision finally reasserting itself, [/colour][colour=#696969]"Glad to you guys are here. What about everyone else?"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Alkaline turned to face the horde and fired a few bursts into them as he responded, [/colour][colour=#CCCCCC]"The rest of Flight 04 have split up to assist the rest of the SERS operatives in the city. The rest of Ensis squadron are inbound."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Shimmer nodded and dashed into an oncoming Shadowbolt as Alkaline turned and continued to fire. She sighed slightly with relief, [/colour][colour=#696969]"Thank Celestia they're coming, things are a lot worse here than we thought."[/colour]

Carmus landed a short distance away from where Velocity stood, panting lightly as he gazed at the moon. He looked down at Carmus when arrived, and he laughed, saying, [colour=#DAA520]"Brother! You missed it all! It was a lot of fun," he chuckles in a sadistic manner, "I think I even heard one of them refer to me as 'Demon'. Strange, isn't it?" [/colour][colour=#000000]Velocity pushes his mask up, his goldenrod eyes now tinted with a red tone,[/colour][colour=#DAA520] "I thought of them as the demons. But I suppose that means I am one now, doesn't it?" [/colour]

[colour=#000000]Carmus growled as Velocity charged him, head lowered as if to spear him. Carmus dodges, clipping his brother with the electrified armor on his wings. With little effect. Velocity stumbles, turning to face his brother as he skids to a stop. Carmus was already charging him again. He threw himself around, angling his hind hooves to kick his brother's head. He connected, sending Velocity to the ground and his helmet off his head. Carmus lands, looking from his unconscious brother to the Shadowbolts that arrived during their short fight. He sighed, lowering himself into a combat ready stance. The Shadowbolts charged and he dodged, picking them off one or two at a time.[/colour]

[colour=#000000]This went on for a few minutes before [/colour][colour=#000000]Carmus landed in front of Velocity's still form, panting heavily. The Shadowbolts were pushing their assault towards him when Shrike and Sagebrush landed in front of him, shockwaving the energy from their gems in an area-of-effect manner. The advancing Pegasi were incapacitated and those that weren't scattered, not expecting their arrival. Carmus laughed in a breathless manner, [/colour][colour=#b22222]"You guys are becoming a little to convenient with your timing."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Shrike salutes him, [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"We can refrain from doing so if you want us to Captain."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Carmus shook his head, motioning for Sagebrush to revive Velocity, [/colour][colour=#b22222]"What happened to your other trooper?"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Velocity came to with a start as Sagebrush dripped the contents of the vile onto his nose. He glanced around in confusion before standing up swiftly, stumbling slightly, [/colour][colour=#daa520]"What?! Where'd they go?!"[/colour]

[colour=#B22222]"Long story." [/colour][colour=#000000]Carmus said, handing him his helmet[/colour].

Sagebrush and Shrike followed them, [/colour][colour=#b22222]"The rest of Ensis Squadron should be arriving soon. We'll group up with the main force and get our orders there! Come on!"[/colour]

True to Carmus word, many sounds akin to thunder sounded above Cloudsdale. Shortly after, multiple impacts complemented by shock-waves of energy rippled across the city. Several of them occurred within the immediate area of the Changeling and Shadowbolt hordes. Commander Jet-Stream, alongside Flight 01 and part of 02 accompanying him, looked out over them, "Well now. I hear you guys have been causing heaps of trouble for my kingdom!" He shouted, partially looking to Chrysalis as he did, "We don't appreciate that very much."

A mare wearing a very light version of the Raptor armor flew up to Flashbomb, [colour=#800080]"I am Medical Officer Reginae of Flight 01, Ensis Squadron. Are you hurt in any way?" [/colour][colour=#000000]She asked, glancing over him.[/colour]

Psyad smiled broadly as she heard the sounds of the rest of Ensis Squadron arriving, [colour=#a52a2a]"Oooh! Backup's here! Awesome!" [/colour]

[colour=#000000]She shot another advancing Shadowbolt, shouting to Cloud Dasher, [/colour][colour=#a52a2a]"This is so much fun! How many have you got so far?!"[/colour]

(The lightning firearms used by the Raptors rely on the enchanted gems as an ammunition source, drawing power from them. When the gems are depleted, the firearms are rendered useless until the gems are replaced. They can work as lethal or non-lethal weapons depending on the situation. Psyad's is sort of like a sniper, going with her being a Sighter, which are advance scouts and snipers of the Raptors. Enforcers are sort of like engineers, and use shotgun like firearms. Barragers use burst firing or fully auto rifles, and are basic infantrymen.)

Flashbomb had lost the horde for now and landed up on the rooftop of a building, he had looked over all of Cloudsdale with Distain and sadness. This once proud city was fully corrupted now and had turned into an all out battlefield. Buildings collapsed and crumpled into nothingness. He saw many shots of energy flying through the air striking many a enemy in the progress. Changelings as well ash shadowbolts tumbled through the skies and Blotted them out. He Heard wings flap behind him and he whipped around to see a familiar face. Reginae Had offered him medical help and possible evac, [colour=#0000FF]"No wounds that are to severe....just a few scratches and maybe damaged armor." [/colour]He responded. He was about to say more when he saw a Armada of Changelings flying in from the south. He turned to Reginae, [colour=#0000FF]"I know it isnt my position to give orders but you need to get to your commanding officer, Let him know that the city Is a losing battle, We need to either rethink our strategy or retreat. This is enemy territory now."[/colour]He said to her. His orange irises glowed in the light of the shots that echoed around. He looked just in time to see A shadowbolt shoot twoards them, He pushed Reginae out of the way and met the shadowbolt head on. They tumbled to the streets below, Thye hit the groind and flash rolled to kick the assailant off. He got up and looked back up to Reginae, [colour=#0000FF]"GO! I WILL LEAD THEM OFF!" [/colour]He shouted to her. A force of shadowbolts and Changelings alike ran at him in force, Flashbomb whipped around and took off wings a blazin through the streets. [colour=#0000FF]"First i gotta get my helmet back." [/colour]

Flashbomb flew through the chaos in the streets of Cloudsdale, Shots flew passed him as he weaved in and out of the enemy ranks. He knocked down those who stood against him and caught a shot from A friendly from the sky raptors. He struggled to keep flight only to crash into a cart sending everything flying into the air. He felt several bodies land on him and began taking hits. He rolled over and kicked left and right to get free. He found an oppertunity and shot out of the mass of enemies. He flew to where he had left Cloud dasher. He got to the busted down doors to see her and another Pegasus fighting the horde. Flashbomb found his helmet and put it on. He slammed the faceplate down and much to his glee the mask reformed to his face. The hud flashed on with newfound energy, Flash activated his blades and Ran into the fray Hitting ponies left and right. He finnally got to where Cloud dasher and the pegasus were. [colour=#0000FF]"I appologise for my absence!!" [/colour]He yelled. They stood back to backs Hitting assailants down with whipping blows and kicks, Flashbomb spun around and threw a flailing shadowbolt into the crowd disspersing them. They came once more and attacked The 3 They continued to battle, Shadowbolts flying and hitting the walls left and right.

The pegesus that called herself "Flight 04" Had joined CloudDasher telling her carefull who she bossed. Nearby another pegesus offered medical attention to FlashBomb who turned it down. CloudDasher and 04 were back to back. Another shadowbolt approtched and CloudDasher bucked him away with her hind legs "20" She says to herself. 04 asked her how many she had gotton, She knocked out another ShadowBolt "That's 21 new tallies for the helmet"She said to her. FlashBomb shorty joined them and apologized for being late "Nice of ya to join us Flashy" She joked as she took out another ShadowBolt. "That reminds me," She turned to 04 "How's the rest of the squad doing? Do you guys need another medic out there? I know basic EMS" she offered. She wondered if Velocity was alright, She wondered why Velocity was the first pony she thought of. But that thought was cut short by a ShadowBolt charging at them. She blocked the blow and countered the attack

Flashbomb grabbed a shadowbolt and put him in a headlock, He held him there as he kicked and slashed away 5 more shadowbolts, Changelings began to join the battle. He was getting utterly sick of this, his hud flashed with 2 new icons. he had vever seen them before and selected them. When he did 2 spheres shot out of a launcher on his forelimb and rolled for a bit. They went of with a bang and shot electricity In a field around the orgin. Several shadowbolts and Changelings fell incapitated with shick energy. [colour=#0000FF]"Well thats new..." [/colour]He said from behind his mask. He swung the Shadowbolt he held and threw him. He went back to fighting of the Enemy horde whom had no end in sight.

Lyria flew into the sky, and hovered in front of the moon. Her light blue eyes sparkled, and she giggled lightly.

[colour=#800080]"YOU FOOLS! YOU CAN'T STOP US!" [/colour]She smiled, and watched the battle from above. Shadows and Nightmares made their way to the opposing force, taking and corrupting whatever ones they could easily reach

Reginae had been about to respond when the Shadowbolt attacked them. She found herself pushed out of the way, and Flashbomb and the Shadowbolt tumbling to the streets below. Reginae picked herself into the air, hovering over the edge as Flash shouted for her to get out of there. She nodded, [colour=#800080]"Right!"[/colour][colour=#000000] [/colour]

[colour=#000000]Jet-Stream barked a laugh at what Chrysalis had said, "That's just the magic Equestrian Ingenuity!" He shouted back.[/colour]

[colour=#000000]She sent Changelings out to fight him. Jet-Stream readied himself, launching himself forward at an impressive speed for a middle aged stallion. He landed a few feet from the Changelings, the charge building up behind him continuing forward with the distinctive bass effect as it struck them. He smiled slightly, "Got any more? I'm just getting started."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Reginae landed a short distance from him, tapping a mare with a very serious expression on her face on the shoulder, [/colour][colour=#800080]"Sergeant Kite, I feel we should pull back. We are outnumbered here."[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"One of the SERS operatives, a stallion named Flashbomb, notified me that the situation is much worse than we initially thought. Surely the Commander knows this already."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Before Kite could respond, Carmus and his followers landed, Velocity noticeably struggling against something internally. Shrike looked to Kite, [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"Reginae's right. We were overrun in the Northern and Western districts. Gallium and Alkaline both notified me that they were pulling out of the Eastern district with Sentinel Shimmer in tow, as they were overrun as well."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]The Commander heard them speaking through his helmet's comm, "Of course I know we're outnumbered here. Comm Officer Anomaly! Send a transmission back to the main force. They need to know we need more reinforcements," He grunted as a Nightmare began to assault him, "And get a message to Arbiter Drisk as well! We'll need all the help we can get!"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Anomaly complied, activating the short range transmitters attached to his armor, sending the transmission and setting it to loop: [/colour]

[colour=#000000]"Transmitting to all SERS and Sky Raptor operatives within the city of Cloudsdale. Pull out immediately. Our battle here, is lost. Pull out, and regroup. Do not attempt to re-enter the city. Cloudsdale, is lost!"[/colour]

Velocity took off, scanning the surrounding area with his mask. One of the Sergeants, a mare named Terrace in command of Flight 02, commed him about it, to which he replied, [colour=#daa520]"I'm going to look for a couple friends of mine. I'll get out with them!"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Terrace had been about to advise him against it when Carmus shook his head, [/colour][colour=#b22222]"Let him go. Lets focus on getting ourselves out of here!"[/colour]

Shimmer, Gallium and Alkaline received the transmission on their way back to the rest of the Squadron. They angled themselves out of the city, flying higher above it but still to where they expected most of their allies to be emerging.

Psyad leapt onto Flashbomb's back for a split second - being a smaller than average mare, she didn't weigh much - to fire another round into the horde before taking to the air, grinning all the while, [colour=#A52A2A]"Name's Psyad by the way! I figure if by some odd chance we don't make it out of here, you guys might as well know my name."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]She heard her comm beeping, notifying her of the Commander's order to fall back, [/colour][colour=#A52A2A]"Well darn! It was just getting exciting!"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]As she said this, the corrupted Sky Raptor Stormer, Torque, lumbered into the building, setting himself firmly onto the ground as he charged his weapon, but just as soon as it was getting ready to fire, a wall of energy came smashing through the wall adjacent to him, knocking a large chunk of Shadowbolts and Changelings behind him to the ground. Torque wasn't fazed by it at all. He was dead set on gunning down Flashbomb, Cloud Dasher and Psyad, completely disregarding the wall of energy. As soon as the bolts were fired, Velocity came charging through the ceiling, erecting a force field large enough to envelope the four of them. He laughed in a highly satisfied manner, [/colour][colour=#daa520]"How's that for good timing?" [/colour][colour=#000000]He glanced back at his two friends and the Sky Raptor past his outspread wings - a necessary stance to generate the force field - He continued,[/colour][colour=#daa520] "This guy wasn't aiming to stun you. He was going for blood. As such, I suggest we get out of here. I can move this thing, but I may not be able to hold it to long. We have to get out of his line of sight quickly."[/colour]

(OOC: Stormers are kind of like the Heavies of the Sky Raptors. They are equipped with minigun like firearms, but can't walk while firing it. It likewise eats through a ton of gems in a short amount of time.)

CloudDasher laughed "[colour=#00ffff]Nice to meet you Psyad, Im CloudDasher.[/colour]" She hit another ShadowBolt sending him flying "[colour=#00ffff]25[/colour]" She muttered to herself. The three continued to fight as a random voice came over the comms saying to FallBack. CloudDasher was slightly annoyed, She was used to taking orders straight from either Princess Twilight or Celestia, Sometimes SpitFire. The suddenly out of no where this guy shows up and starts barking orders. She rolled her eyes to herself. Orders were Orders no matter how stupid they were. "[colour=#00ffff]I Was just getting started too..[/colour]" She said to herself. Suddenly a large beam destroyed the wall and nearly sent the three flying. CloudDasher covered her sea green eyes with her hoof untell the dust cleared. Velocity trotted in the building. "[colour=#DAA520]How's that for good timing?[/colour]" He said. CloudDasher grinned "[colour=#00ffff]Better late than never I suppose.[/colour]" She hit another ShadowBolt as Velocity said they need to evacuate. CloudDashers hard head started to appear at this point. These guys came out of no where, Who where they? She had never meet them before now.. Up until now the SERS Had taken care of most the problems.. She grunted in frustration. "[colour=#00ffff]Right[/colour]" She trotted over to Velocity. "[colour=#00ffff]What ever.. I could have taken them all[/colour]" She said. While she waited for the new plan on how to get out, She picked up a piece of rock that was sharp and took off her helmet, Reveling her Blue and yellow mane. She etched 25 more marks in the side. That made 32 Plot kickings in her career so far.
