Mane/Tail: Her mane is short and falls in her face in light fringes, it's base is a soft powder blue, while the tips are a more rich periwinkle blue. Her tail is similarly coloured and is cut at an angle, being straight as a board.

Physique: A slightly smaller than average filly, with a tiny middle and very little baby fat, despite eating so much delicious sugary treats!

Residence: Canterlot

History: Sparkle Snow was born during Hearths Warming Eve one cool winter day, her mother was so happy to see that their filly had arrived safe and sound, that her eyes sparkled like the glittering white snow, her father suggested that they name her Sparkle Snow, since her snowy white coat and sparkling blue eyes filled their hearts with warmth and delight!

It was soon noticed that Sparkle Snow never responded to her name, or hardly made any sound at all really! A quick trip to the doctor and it was discovered that she had been born deaf! At first her mother and father anguished over this news! But the Doctor shook her head and assured them that since she was so young she could quickly learn how to read lips, write, and even read, and that the world of Equestria would be as open to her as any other filly her age! Her parents while skeptical at first were more than willing to listen.

Their worry had been for naught! Sparkle Snow was a smart filly, and was soon reading lips, reading books, and reading facial expressions so that nopony was cut off from her! Though her ears heard no sound she herself did not seem to even notice, how could she? She knew no different! Though she also didn't really know how to use her own voice (something she is working on, it's a little shaky and stuttery though) so for now she carries around a note pad and a pencil to express herself, as well as body language!

Sparkle Snow loves to read, and when she isn't gallivanting around Canterlot with her friends she could easily be found in the library among a massive stack of books, her favorites having to do with various crystals, gems and rocks! She has a absolute and utter fascination with the things!

Due to this love of crystals her parents took her to the Crystal Empire and Sparkle was so ellated that they practically had to hold her by her security blanket she always wore around her neck like a cape (and she literally wears it everywhere) as she ran around, looked at the crystal ponies, ate crystal berries, and just in general enjoyed herself ! Jewelry in a stand caught her gaze and she ooed softly in wonder! The cuts on the gems were so fine because the Jeweler actually hoof cut the gems to be specific shapes.

Something that sparkled a passion in the little blank flank who now dedicates most of her time to reading and understanding the fine art.

Character Summary: Sparkle Snow is a very upbeat pony, that has a fascination with crystals, gems, and anything sparkly! She has a hard time paying attention in class unless something truly catches her focus, and she just loves LOVES long , pretty, and flowy dresses! A true girly girl at heart that will spend hours conversing about hoof polish, hair styles, and jewelry! Often getting into her mothers clothes and such to play dress up! However she always asks first, being a very polite and well mannered young lady.

Her magic is mostly levitation, but she is now attending a special school to learn the fine art of gem cutting and glass work! She was so fascinated by it that her parents couldn't help but let her attend, and they got to truly see her spark and glow as she relishes in her studies! She just knows she is going to get a Gem cutting cutie mark for sure! But cutting magic is sort of dangerous so she hasn't actually practiced that part yet! Right now it's mostly techniques, learning about settings, colours, and different gem hardness, the rest will come later, but then she will have her cutie mark for sure!

And then she'll design jewelry and such for the fashion ponies, and maybe someday move to the crystal empire!

She just can't wait for that to happen it would be the best thing ever!

Quicklime OCs are best OCs! I love how you've given this character a heart and a story that doesn't focus heavily on her handicap. Reminds me of Sue Thomas, F. B. Eye in that she isn't hindered just because she's deaf, but there's actual depth to her. I know that's exactly what you set out to do in designing her and I think you've done a great job of it.
