History[colour=#282828]:[/colour][colour=#282828]GangPlank was always built for the sea and sky, born to two ponies that were born and bred in Gallopocus Islands making ships long before he was even a thought, His mother Starboard, and Father Mast made good fine ships for a living, so it was no surprise when GangPlank was born that he would take right to ships! He loved every part of them, the smooth wood, the cotton sails! But something always seemed missing, that was until he discovered AIRSHIPS! Ships that were propelled by a large balloon and sailed through the sky like the sea, the first time he saw one he felt a spark in his heart.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]His cutie mark comes from an incident when he was a young colt and went out to test a small ship with his father, Mast was going a great job but was getting on in years and managed to get them both lost, it was thanks to Gangplanks assistance and good sense of direction they got back on track, his father dubbed him his “Guiding star” and with that He glanced upon his flank and saw the compass that had taken form there.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]The first ship that He ever was truly proud of was a GORGIOUS Ship, but due to his fascination and nack for Airiships it was able to easily convert to an Airship he poured his heart and soul into it , he polished her wooden floors till they were glossy and silky smooth, he made sure every single part was as perfect as perfect could be! It was so gorgeous that it got bought by the Royal guard...He felt a tremendous sadness in his heart as the ship got bought and sold but felt that one day they would be reunited.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]The money made from selling the ship let him be on his own and depart from his parents, into the world as a young stallion he left the islands on a ship his father had made , it was lovely until it hit a rock and busted open like a piñata filled with candy.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]He nearly drowned if it weren’t for the passing of another ship he would have been lost to the sea! Thankfully the Captain was more than willing to take him in and drop him off at the nearest dock[/colour][colour=#282828].[/colour]

After having a taste of the life of Piracy GangPlank could never go back to a normal way of living, so he formed a crew, they were dubbed the Free Wing Pirates, for they were free in the sky and in the air, they were a rag tag buncha misfits, of all types and species..

Their very first mission? Stealing back the FreeWing, GangPlanks very first ship! Once it was in their possession they were off! The Sky was literally the limit! There was no place they couldn't go, no place they couldn't explore! The FreeWing Pirates were off to loot treasure, to swash buckle, to enjoy taverns and all that good piratey stuff!

Character Summary[colour=#282828]: Despite his profession GangPlank is in it of himself NOT Malicious in the slightest, he finds it more fun to steal from other thieves and not good hard working ponies that need their stuff for a living! He is very patient, but suffers tunnel vision at times, he seems often enough to be too generous, too trusting, and way too lenient with his crew, but that's because he doesn't see them as just deckhands, he sees them as his family, and family should be trusted![/colour]

[colour=#282828]He is utterly at peace in the air, and enjoys the serenity of standing on a empty deck, wind blowing in his mane, ripping through his vest...[/colour]

When it comes to fistacuffs his primary weapon is a Rapier, and if all else fails he has his trusty flintlock at his side, though he lives by the motto

"Shoot to Disarm, never to kill, and a bullet is always a last resort"
