While we did have members log into the IRC for live roleplaying, the official canon room was rarely used. Most of the chat RPers preferred to set up their own rooms where they could set their own rules. Now, Canterlot has its own hosted chat, and no official connection to an IRC server.I know that some people like chat RP better than forum RP, but Canterlot isn't set up to support and monitor an official chat RP. If you wanted to set up your own chat rps, and privately invite members, that would be fine, but anything that happened in those chats would be up to you to police and monitor.
