Skyward Pirates: Rise of the Angel Fleet(Closed/Unaccepting)

Introduction

Thousands of years after the Elements of Harmony, and even Equestira itself, Canterlot, the Crystal Castle, even Ponyville has become nothing but ruin. This tragic fact took place after some of the ponies around the world realized that there could be more cities built in the sky like Cloudsdale. It was a long and tedious task, taking years to complete, but in the end there were now more cities in the sky than there ever was on the ground. These cities were know as the Skyward Cities, dethatching from the world below. These cities were not just limited to Pegasus, but to Earth and Magical ponies as well. There was also the creation of a new air-way travel for ones that did not have wings to travel from one city to another. It wasn't long after that the Earth Cities, as they were now called, were abandoned and either forgotten, became rumors and myths, or became as stories for the new generations of fillies and colts. Cloudsdale became the new capital, being the first city to reside in the clouds, and being the inspiration of this new move. This was the new age, living in the clouds; that was many of ponies dreams.

It was short lived, however, as many of the cities were limited on space, and the due to the construction of this many cities world-wide, the economy had gone down frighteningly meaning they couldn't build another city even if they tried and pull resources from all the Skyward Cities. Revolts happened, chaos spreading to many of the cities and leaving them desolate. Some ponies had decided to go back to the Earth below and try again on civilization, only to find a broke and dying land. They didn't realize it, but the Earth was dying, and has been for many years. With no money to make more cities, and no safe place down below, everypony as a whole tried to pull their heads together and come up with a plan to fix this problem. All of the governs and high ranking ponies came to Cloudsdale, making this the first annual meeting ever since the detachment. Ideals were thrown around; establish a new currency, regulate taxes to make them higher, there were even ideas to try and go down to the Earth lands and try to save it so that they could rebuild on it. None of the ideas seemed to satisfy everyone as they keep bickering back and forth.

Meanwhile during the meeting, richer cities began construction of new air-way travel, making ships that floated in the sky and was very fast as well. This was in the attempt to raise money. Some cities did it to help the less fortunate cities, while others did it out of greed; keeping the money for themselves so that they would be the only ones to flourish and survive. As that was going on, smaller cities were suffering either way, slowly depleting the resources that were provided in the beginning, and there was no hope to getting anymore. That was until a group of ponies declared they would take what was needed from the rich and give back to the poor, just like the old stories of Robinhoof. Some praised these ponies as heroes, as others thought of them as nothing but petty thieves who needed to be stopped.

Not long after the creation of the Crusaders, another group was formed mostly in the rich lands as Sky Patrol, who called the Crusaders as nothing more than filthy Pirates. Nonetheless, more and more groups began to rise as either Crusaders or Sky Patrol; the Crusaders wanting either to change the world from what it is now to just taking what they want and keeping it, while the Sky Patrol saw all Crusaders as the same and wanted to capture them all, and lock them away forever. Wars have broken out in the sky, many have lost their lives, or have never been heard from again. For many, this was not the future they sought when Skyward Cities were made, for others, this was how they accepted things to be and didn't see an end in sight.

While the fighting continued in the air, on the ground the land continued to decay and becoming more and more inhabitable. Still, there were rumors of treasure in some of the old kingdoms that long ago prospered. Many have tried to go down here and explore, but that proved to be very dangerous and unwise. Even some of the Crusaders had tried and failed. Not only had the land become barren and unlikeable, new creatures had formed on the land, some that could of never been before imagined. This is what happens when the land is left unchecked for so many years, but nopony could never imagine getting this bad. Even so, some still tried their best to obtain something of value on the Earth, and for some their journeys ended there.

Will the economy be restored so that the wars will stop and this division will end? Will new floating islands be made for more room or the Earth below be brought back to life? With there being no end in sight for anything, nopony had a clear answer to those answers. It's time to set sail, to move forward, and to set the new future to the way you want it to be.

Locations

Skyward Cities

Cloudsdale: Capital city.

Skyville: Fifth built city in honor of the old Ponyville.

Airtroplus: First major city built, supporting what's left of the economy.

New Manehattan: The last city to be built, only allows the rich to live in comfort and harmony. Sprouting with large and tall buildings and artificial trees. This city is the biggest reason why the other islands are poor and the economy has gone down greatly. This fact has caused the island to become the main target for Crusaders, and also has become the main base for the Sky Patrol.

Small Islands: Small plots of land that floats in the sky, most of them unused and forgotten, while others are inhabited with tribes and other groups.

Medium Islands: Land masses that were built and maintained in hopes of creating more villages and towns, later abandoned due to lack of economy.

Large Islands: Abandoned or forgotten projects. Plenty of resources can be found at these locations, but they are scarce; few and far between.

Ground Locations

Old Canterlot: The location of the greatest city ever to exist in Equestria in the time with the two princess of the old stories ruled over the land, controlling the sun and the moon. Now all that is left is a withering city and a decaying castle. However, within the castle lies the ancient relics of the old princesses.

Ponyville: A town that once thrived on friendship is now nothing but ruins. Hardly anything is left of this village, but if one looks hard enough, they may find some books from the library that are not torn and aged badly.

Crystal Castle: A once glorious city filled with ponies that glistened in the sun was now the mining field to obtain crystals that were used to fuel the skyships.

Manehattan: The original and largest city of Equestria. Just like the new floating island, this plot of land belonged to the richest and most powerful ponies in all of Equestria (Besides the alicorns). Now just a shadow of it's former glory, this land and its buildings are now mostly used for the constructions of new sky islands.

EverFree Forest: A forest that grew wild just on the outskirts of Ponyville and stretched far down south is now decaying due to the lack of resources on the land as well as the lack of magic going through the soil and air. Withered, but still there, the EverFree Forest is still the home to deadly and terrifying creatures that have evolved throughout the years, adapting to the poisoning lands and dead or dying trees; just like the Barkwolves.

EverLast Mountains: The mountains just behind the EverFree Forest, these mountains were what divided the east from the west, and still do to this day. Stories of the old suggest that the mountains was the home to a race thought to be of legend and folklore; the Fire Stallions of the Eternal Herd. Little did they know was that stories begin from some form of truth.

I don't want to see anyone bringing down another for no good reason(Nothing is a good reason for doing that) So, respect each other and their ideas. 3. No apps are needed, obvious since it's in the FFA forums; however I do require at least a name, what ship/side your character is going to be in, and what position he/she is going to obtain. If you feel like making a new ship altogether and being the captain of it, provide me the name of the ship, wither it's small, medium, large, dreadnought, or capital size ship(If you choose dreadnought or capital size, you better be prepared to handle the size/number of rpers that can fit on the ship with you), and which side it's going to be on; Crusaders or Sky Patrol. Updates

I'll keep this part as well updated as I can, so check back often to stay informed and in the know of what's going on in this hectic world.

Dawn of a new day!

As soon as the sun rose up, trouble as started. What began as a simple attempt of making quick coin turned into a deadly fight when the USS Manehattan "Mary" confronted the Ursa Major. Being the curious crew that was aboard the Angel Wing, WindCatch, Valor Dash, and Star Reader all went forward to investigate the fighting, only to get caught up in it themselves once Wind and Star realized it was their siblings that were in the fight on their massive capital ship.

Tragedy struck during the fight...

In the end, Star Reader was captured and Valor Dash is out of commission on the Kestrel. At first, a plan to rescue Star was made by Windcatch, but he noticed the uncertainty that was clear on his companion and her crew, so the plan was called off, leaving Star to her fate, that would be until Wind had a better plan than sending everypony to their deaths.

Lost and Abandoned

Star is now held as prisoner on the Mary and Valor has been kept down in the sick bay on the Kestrel. Volt has decided to stay with Valor to make sure that everything is well and so they can leave once they can, however, it was uncertain when that would be.

A new soldier, and the guard captain have revealed themselves on the Mary, making sure that Star stayed in line.

Revealing a bit of her past and her mind, ForestSpark has shown that she is no mere mare nor just a unicorn, but something a bit more.

The EverLast

Something has come to life down below the sky cities, near the dying EverFree forest. A cluster of mountains that draw the line where the forest ends known as the EverLast mountains.

Valor has awoken, but by the orders of doctor Aven of the Kestrel, he will stay aboard until his internal wounds have healed.

Taalix has noticed the activity on the mountains and wonders if his current expedition will be worth it.

Upon the name of research, Luminous Spark and Aerus has descended down towards the EverFree forest in order to recover materials and determine why the forest, along with the rest of the world, is dying

Omega

Omega and his crew of firry stallions have begun their assault on the Ursa and the Angel

Star was tired. she spent all night tracking their position. she best navigates by the stars. she managed to lug herself out of bed and redo her braid. she comes out and looks at her compass. north east by east. right on track.

WindCatch was at the bow of the ship, looking over the horizon and beyond the clouds, seeing the sun rise up. He heard hoofsteps on the deck and turned back, seeing that it was his navigator, Star Reader. "Morning there, Star. I wasn't expecting you to be awake just yet." He said happily. As usual, even when he was the one that got the least amount of sleep from anypony else on this ship, he was always so energetic and happy looking. "Well, since you're up, I suppose we better get the operations underway. I have some coordinates for you, we're going to a few lost islands that never got built on. No need to let whatever resources are on them go to waste. Wouldn't you agree?" He said with a smile as he walked from the front the front of the ship and past her, towards the navigations room where Star Reader's materials were held at.

"of course." Star said following him. "what are the coordinates?"

"Well, you're better at the numbers than I am." He said as he placed a scroll down that had a few scrawled coordinates. He then pulled out a map that had these numbers on them and placed it on the table as well, then started drawing three circles on it. "This island is around in this area. Last I heard about it, no one lives here, so all we have to do is go there, get the stuff, and leave. Nothing hard." He said, moving to the side to allow her to see the map and give any decisions to this.

Star thought a second. she scribbled some numbers on some scrap paper. "this is the closest island. its due southwest by west by south for ten miles. we can get there by nightfall at full sail." Star said pointing to one of the circles

Wind looked at where she pointed and nodded in agreement. "Well, let's make it so." And with that, he turned and started walking to the door to leave the room, but stopped before he left. "Hey, Star, did you happen to see Valor when you came up here? Just curious.

" i do not think i did....."

Wind chuckled softly when she answered. "That little colt must think he deserves to sleep in today. Well, I suppose he can, just this once." He said with a joking grin. "C'mon, lets get this day started right. If you're hungry, I think the cook has already made some breakfast." He told her as he kept walking and headed the stairs that lead to the top of the deck, where the steering wheel was located.

"yeah, im starved." she headed after him ((going to bed. night. or morning. or afternoon. i dont know your timezone lol))

Wind placed a hoof on the wheel and spun it quickly, the ship creaking loudly as it turned as well. He let the wheel go until he felt it was turned good enough and stopped the wheel. "There, now lets go eat." He said to Star as he started walking again towards the other stair case, walking down to the mid-deck, then heading to another set of stairs that led to the bottom deck where the bunks, kitchen, and medical wards were placed. He then stopped before they reached the kitchen and he turned back towards her. "Before we go and eat, how about we get Valor to join us. He said and then continued. "Think about it, we never get to hear much from him, maybe this will be a change of pace for him and us." He said with a smile.

Meanwhile, in Valor Dash's quarters, he was actually already awake, just staring out of the small window and not making a sound so that he didn't wake up any of the other ponies that he had to share the room with. This ship was large, but not big enough for every pony to have their own room. There seemed to of been a lack of emotion on his face as his mind traveled back in time, recalling on a memory of his past, and not a happy one either. The death of his parents, and the ones who were responsible. A band of rogue ponies that proclaimed to be the ones that would change the world for the better, then turned around and pillaged towns and cities just for the fun of it. That wasn't long before WindCatch found him and gave him shelter on this vessel. He had nothing but gratitude and respect towards Wind, and with that he did as he was told down to the letter without question or hesitation.

"ill go get him." she went back the way they came to Valor's cabin. she flew the last few feet not wanting to wake anypony up. she opened the door quietly. she flew silently over to Valor. "it's time to eat. we want you to join us."

Valor Dash heard the door open, but didn't turn to see who it was that came in. It wasn't until he heard a feminine voice that he turned and saw Star Reader. "Oh, hello Star." He said in a soft voice, then listened quietly to what she had to say. He nodded to her statement. "Very well." And with that he walked up to her, even though they were about the same age, he was a little bit shorter than she was, the top of his mane just reaching the top of her head before her mane. He walked past her, not saying anything more, and out of the room. "Ah, good! You're awake, Valor. Come, both of you, lets get something to eat." Wind said to them as he turned and walked into the kitchen. Valor nodded again and followed behind Wind, looking back only once to see if Star was following as well. He didn't doubt that she was, but he still had the urge to check.

Star followed . she wanted to fly a little after breakfast before she starts "working". which in her case is reading maps figuring out where they are in five minutes making sure they stay on track, and rest in her quaters and pretend to be working when anpony comes in.

As they entered, WindCatch grabbed a bowl of oatmeal that they got from their last stop as well as some greens and an apple. Unlike most other Crusaders, They had goods that would fetch a pretty penny in the markets. The only reason they hadn't traded any of it way was because it was their only food source for the time, and it was very limited. Valor went by next and only grabbed an apple before going over to the table and sitting down. Wind tilted his head to the side a bit. "Are you sure that's enough? We have a mission today, and I don't want you losing all your energy too early." He said, voicing his concern, but Valor just simply nodded and bit into the apple. Wind was still worried, but just decided to eat and let Valor make his decisions.

Star grabbed an apple and some greens. she didn't much care for oatmeal "what kind of mission?"

Wind took a spoonful of oatmeal and ate it before speaking again. "Well, it's nothing much. After we gather the resources from that island, we'll be heading out tomorrow to New Manehattan." He said plainly as if there was nothing to worry about. Valor was about to take another bite of his apple until he heard that and stopped, his eyes widening as he looked at Wind. He didn't want to question him, but this sounded as crazy as anything. Maybe voicing his opinion about this wouldn't be a good idea either, that was until Wind spoke again. "What do you two think? It would be the best city to go to sell our findings and get more stuff, right?" He said to them. Valor wanted to speak, but didn't know how to say what he wanted to say without coming off disloyal or anything, so he allowed Star to speak first.

"hey, as long as its risky im in." se said ater taing a bite of the apple

Valor looked at Star for a moment, then at Wind and nodded in agreement, even if he had some question of his own, he would hold onto them he supposed. Wind leaned over to Star as Valor continued with his apple. "Is it just me, or does something seem to be bothering him right now?" He whispered to her, then continued. "Well, either way, he opens up to you better I've noticed. Why don't you find out what's wrong?" He whispered. Valor looked up at the two as he noticed they were looking at him. He began to feel a little uncomfortable, so he decided to come up with something. "Ummm... well, before then... um, w-what can I do?" He asked, his shy side showing. Wind sat straight and gave it some thought, then smile some. "I want you to help Star Reader today, make sure that she's doing what she needs to, alright?" He said, and without hesitation, Valor Dash nodded in agreement, not seeing if Star agreed to this as well or not.

[Killjoy]

Killjoy stood silently scanning the horizon from the bow of her ship, Killjoy was bother feared and loved by her crew. She was known being ruthless in battle, not giving any sign of mercy...for she knew the sky patrol would not give her any after deserting their fleet with such a big ship. Killjoy's crimson red eyes locked on a black dot far away, she took out here telescope to get a better look and sure enough it was a Sky patrol ship, A cargo ship with two medium size escort ships. Killjoy grinned and yelled to her navigator "turn this ship north, we are going to attack that Cargo ship and destroy those escorts!" the Navigator, Blast Beat replied "aye, turning northbound!" Killjoy quickly went to her gunners and soldiers "get ready, we are attacking a large cargo ship in 20 minutes...move!" she barked as her troops start getting battle ready. Killjoy ran back up to keep an eye on the Cargo ship. The Navigator pushed down the throttle and starting speeding towards the doomed Sky Patrol ships.
