The Great and Powerful Trixie Lulamoon

The pale blue mare pushed the food around with her fork. It wasn't that she wasnt hugry, she was starving, but every time she spent any of those bits it got her thinking about that stallion who had shown up, out of the blue, dropped a sack of bits in her lap, promised her her dreams... then vanished... it just seemed strange that he would make a promise like that then never fufill it. He could easily have just said "here take the money and good luck"

Trixie looked up from her plate to the dinner around her. It wasn't extravagant, in facy by Los Pegasus standards it was a hole-in-the-wall, with a small tiled floor and only twenty or so tables, but it was clean and it served decent food and it was cheep. Even if she had a large sack of bits sitting on her table back at her apartment, she didn't want to blow through them. One or two good things was expected but she wouldn't go and drop 500 bits on a huge fancy meal and show or anything!

The mare wore a new cape and hat, she _had_ to spend the bits on that, there was no way around her ego letting her go around in her old warn and dirty clothes when she coudl afford a second set she could wear when not at the humiliating "job" of hers. Her too-thin-frame though was not gaining back the weight it should have with her wages and her not wanting to spend the bits she'd been given... she really needed to make a decision on if she was going to take those bits and leave (and where to go!) or if she was going to just stay and try to survive here and occasionally use her spare money to enjoy herself a little...

Trixie glanced up, noticing the shape of a pony outside, of course she couldn't make out anything more than the shape, given the tinted windows and the dim lighting...

((just FYI: very rude to not have a proper log to describe your characters or to describe them in-thread... right now I dont even know your character's colors, race, or even his/her gender! Please either describe him/her or post a proper log...))

(Yes, I will. Even though some of my OCs are just random)

Ender stopped and looked at his timewatch, and then at the restruant. "Time to eat." He sat and used his magic to eat his sandwich. He then put his black bangs out of the way.

(Ender has a cyan coat and potion cutiemark)

((Ok, now what about his eyes? Is he carrying saddlebags? How big is he? Adult? Foal? Teenage? is he wearing any clothes? --- sorry but These are all things trixie would see when she looked at him, I have zero problems with you hiding things like his talent, his past, what inside his bags, etc, but it's hard to respond realistically when I'm addressing a pony-shaped hole in the air...))

Trixie glanced over at the light-blue pony who had entered, he seemed concerned with the time. Perhaps he was on a tight schedule. Of course his statement of the obvious seemed to make him either simple or perhaps one of those annoying types who narrated their own life - Trixie found those ponies very annoying because their narration got in the way of her own! She soon turned back to her own meal since the pony didnt seem to have any interest in her (though that might be a good thing, considering all the hecklers Trixie faced on a regular basis) She still needed to figure out what to do with her current lot... and she needed to finish her dinner, which was already getting cold with all the time she was taking to contemplate instead of eat!

(Sorry, writing fan-fic. Ender has red eyes, he is adult, no saddle bags and black suit.)

As Ender ate his sandwich, he saw Trixie. He noticed her looking at her. He kinda thought she was cute. No chance with her. He thought. He then quickly started eating his sandwich.

Tide Breaker was about done with her vacation. Although Las Pegasus had its share of fun activities, the filly was missing her board shack and the beach! It had been almost a week since she had hit the water! An entire week! The burnished orange pegasus shivered slightly as she made her way through the restaurant. It had turned a little cold and she was hoping to son be back to her hotel room. The next morning she would board a train back to the southern shores and her home at Suntrot Bay.

Soon Tide was seated and had ordered a simple dinner. She had eaten way too much the last couple of days and she only needed something light.

"Can't wait to get back home..." She muttered to herself as her food arrived. She smiled at the waiter, not wanting him to think he was doing anything wrong. The service in this place was actually quite good. "Thanks for the food dude."

She leaned in and began to cut a carrot in half. "Oh no!" The carrot slipped and shot across the table, right onto the next table over! Tide looked over and raised her eyebrows. "Sorry about that... wild carrot I guess..." She smirked, trying to hide her embarrassment from the pale blue unicorn onto whose table to carrot had landed.

Trixie was brought out of her thought by a mysterious orange blur that lande don her table, upon closer examination she realized it was a vegetable. she followed the trajectory to the orange pegasus who was trying to appologize.

The mare of magic's first through was to get angry and try to terrify the pegasus, to make her fear and awe trixie... but something inside her told her that would only end badly... she wanted to start over and not have a reputation of being a loonatic (even if she did have a distruct of wheels now) and launching an attack, verbal or magical, would not be the way to achieve this. She swallowed her pride and did what she thought was more appropriate.

"Yes, That one must not have all the fight cooked out of it, Trixie has heard told the rabbits must be swift so they can catch them" she joked, her horn glowing and returning the carrot to the pegasus's table "Perhaps next time you should try the spaghetti, it tends to trip over itself and get tangled if it tries to escape" she smiled

(OOC: Ummm, MagicShine? Responses like the one you just posted do nothing to add to threads. Please write more than one sentence when responding. Thanks!)

Tide Breaker couldn't help but smile at the unicorn's response. It might have been the funniest thing she had heard during her whole vacation in Las Pegasus. She watched as the carrot returned to her table, being sent back to her plate by the unicorn's magic. Tide had always loved unicorn magic! She would never wish to trade her flying abilities for a unicorn's horn, but it still intrigued her to no end. What must it feel like to be able to make things move around like that? It must be convenient to say the least.

"I guess I should try spaghetti...but that might make a bigger mess if it landed on your table." She smiled again. Tide was naturally a friendly pony and since she was dining alone she didn't mind talking to somepony the next table over. In fact she would most likely enjoy it!

"So, are you here on vacation?" She asked the question in a simple airy manner, not wanting to make the unicorn think she was being interrogated or something.

"That's why I'm here... this is my last night though. My train leaves tomorrow and I'm stoked to get back home!" She dipped her head and munched the carrot, wondering what the unicorn's response might be.

Drywood, wandered around the streets of Las Pegasus, all the while thinking he should be there. Much to his chagrin, his mother had sent every single bit that Drywood has sent home to help support the rest of his family back to him. Or rather Drywood's family suddenly showed up at his shop in Manehatten, bag full of all the bits he had sent home in hoof, and volentold(a mashup of "volunteer" and "told") him to join them on a vacation trip to Las Pegasus. What worried Drywood the most was that they refused to use any portion of the money he had given them. What surprised Drywood even more was the fact that his family had managed to pool enough by themselves in order to fund this trip to Las Pegasus.

In any case though, here he was in Las Pegasus wandering the streets late at night while the rest of his family rested at the hotel. Just as he was, his eyes wandered the cityscape, glancing into shops, casinos, and restaurants. Despite Las Pegasus being such a busy place, even at night, Drywood couldn't find anything to do with his spare time. He'd already pigged out at a buffet earlier in the evening, and he wasn't keen on spending more bits at the various shops, even more so when he considered that family wasn't exactly well off. And gambling? Drywood did not even let his mind dare to venture down that path.

Passing by one of the less extravagant and less expensive looking restaurants Drywood noticed a very familiar showmare. Going off on his suspicions, he entered the restaurant and approached the sky blue mare.

"Hey, it is you! You're Trixie! You did that pretty bucking awesome magic show back in Trottingham didn't ya! My little bros are big fans of ya. But seriously you messed up back in Ponyville of all places. I mean, seriously, did you really have to antagonize heroes of Equestria? Because trying to make enemies of the some of the most revered ponies in all of Equestria was such a great idea."

If Drywood was bothering any other costumers, he didn't notice. If he accidentally insulted Trixie with his mini-rant(which he almost certainly did), he didn't notice that either.

The unicorn smiled at the pegasus, but her smiled faltered a little "Well, Trixie came here looking for a new start, trying to get in doing stage hows..." her mask slipped at that point "...but my reputation preceeded me" she heard the newcommer's comments and sighed "with some more than others" she said, more to herself than anypony else, though it was more of a stage whisper so any of them could hear it...

She turned to the other pony "Trixie is pleased to hear your family is fond of her shows" she smiled "Trixie knows not who will be in her audience, her shows are open to all, it was not her fault that anypony in particular decides to participate in the act" she smiled, trying to cover up her first blunder... first of a string that was comming back to biter her in the tail over and over and over... it seemed she'd never live down her old reputation and get a new start at this rate...

There was a small laugh as that same stallion who she had thought had vanished on him returned. He accorded the other ponies in the restaurant with a polite nod and wave before settling in near Trixie. He leaned over and gave a wink before whispering, "Sorry about that. Got called in for an emergency package run for a Los Pegasus client. My vacation is almost over though, and it seemed to fly by.". He felt bad that he had kinda vanished unexpectedly but when duty calls at a higher pay rate, he must answer the call.

Tide was a bit surprised to learn that the unicorn she had just started a conversation with was a star of some sort. It didn't phase her too much though. This Trixie seemed to be dealing with some issues and Tide certainly didn't want to add to her feeling bad. She had always been a pony intent on lifting the spirits of others and Trixie looked like she could use a little cheering up.

...her shows are open to all, it was not her fault that anypony in particular decides to participate in the act...

Tide nodded in agreement. "I totally understand that! Like when I'm dropping in on a great wave and some pony just jumps right in a cuts me off..." She stopped herself. "Sorry, I guess you're not in the mood for surfing stories."

Other ponies were now coming around them and Tide was uncertain of who was who. There was somepony ranting about things Trixie had done and now another one had come over and sat down. By the sound of it, he must know Trixie.

"Well, I better get going. I hope things work out Trixie!" She finished her meal and got up to leave.

(Sorry, this thread is already just too confusing for me. i'm gonna drop back and if someone wants to keep RPing in here with me that's cool,

Tide hasn't actually left yet ;) )

"My family are full of a bunch of crazies! I mean, I keep sending money back home to help support them, because we're not that well off. Then one day, my parents stop by my shop, bag full of all the bits I had sent them. I don't know what my bros were thinking, but I'm guessing that my mom was thinking that she'd live the Los Pegasus dream and get lucky at one of those casinos you know?"

Drywood pulled chair from the opposite end of Trixie's table and sat himself down.

"You wouldn't mind if I joined you, would you? Rest of the family is back at the hotel and I'm bored out of my skull wandering the city. I mean, what exactly am I doing here? I should be back home making my tiny little wooden masterpieces, but here I am forced to go on an expensive family vacation by a mother who's seemingly lost all sense of financial self-preservation." Drywood hooves were gesturing fairly animated in front of him as he spoke.

((Magic, Ender doesn't have an app for CC, or anywhere for that matter.))

Trixie laughed an awkward laugh at the surfer pony but smiled "yes, something like that" she said, clearly having no clue what the pegasus was talking about "Yes, have a nice evening, maybe we'll run into each other again sometime" She was nice, if a little odd... of course she clearly was a surfing pony and they tended to be a little strange, perhaps it was all that sun and ocean exposure, it couldn't possibly be good for them...

The unicorn looked to her new 'employer' or perhaps the better term would be 'savior' with suprise but a look of relief "I was afraid you'd abandoned me!" she then caught herself and pulled her mask back into place "Of course Trixie did not think that for long, and as you can see she quickly assessed the situation and realized the logic of.... and I have no idea where I'm going with that sentance" trixie turned red "It's good to see you again" she finally said, letting the mask lower "I'm glad you decided to come back"

Trixie looked suprised as the stallion who moments ago was insulting her, invited himself to her table. Though a little dumbfounded, she nodded. Her confusion only rose with how this pony was telling her all about his family... was he wanting a favor? If so he certainly was going about it an odd way... or perhaps he simply was one of those who would tell their troubles to anyone who would stay nearby long enough, Trixie had heard about those ponies and was somewhat glad most restrooms were seperated by gender...

He sort of blocked out everyone around him as he laid eyes on Trixie up close. He watched her turn red as she couldn't hold in her relief to see him return to her. He smiled, his own muzzle turning a soft red. "It's good to be back! You look much better now with a new cape and hat!", he couldn't help but reply with lots of energy and warmth.

He waved the waiter over and said, "I'll have your finest wine and bring two glasses.". He gave Trixie a warm look and smile before whispering, "The second glass is for you. Also order anything else you desire. I'm practically rolling in bits right now.". He chuckled as he realized the frivolity he was indulging himself in. This town really had gotten to him. "Oh well, I put a lot of the money into my savings account... I could almost retire if I wanted to...", he thought to himself with a big grin, wings fluttering.

((looks like all the other abandoned the thread...))

"Th-thank you" she said with a smile, when the wine arrived, her eyes lit up hungerily, it took all her restraint not to snatch the bottle from the waitor and guzzle it down herself. Of course, what could be expectd from a mare who had suffered so many defeats and yet to rise back to where she thought she should be?

She decided to try and distract herself "oh, your going to retire?" she asked, having barely heard anything as she brought the glass to her lips and drank deeply. As the waitor tried to walk away, she smiled at him and stopped him with her magic

He sighed and palced the bottle on the table

Trixie nodded approvingly

He watched the scene unfold with a good natured smile. At least the waiter left the wine bottle behind. He lifted his own glass to his lips and drank lightly, savoring the flavor. He blinked and chuckled as she asked him if he was going to retire. "I just might. I had a lucky time here. I've cashed out though, I'm not going to press my luck any longer, lest the house get suspicious.", he replied quietly, nervously glancing about the restaurant. He hadn't cheated, but some ponies probably thought he had.

Trixie nodded, though her eyes held disappointment, she had hoped to travel around with him, never having to look back at a bad performance, much like her old career had been, but she realized anything too good to be true usually was "Have you picked anyplace out yet?" she asked, taking another long pull from the glass, almost finishing it and refilling the glass from the bottle "Trixie has traveled quite a bit and could recommend several nice locations to retire" she smiled, though if he paid attention to both her eyes and how fast the wine was disappearing he would probably realize she was simply hiding her depression behind a mask and drinking hard to try and alive the dark feeling.

He met her disappointed gaze and sighed. Judging by how quickly the wine was going, there was something bothering her. As she asked him if there was a place he had picked out yet, he managed a laugh. It wasn't that kind of retirement, at least not yet. "Oh no. I'm not taking that kind of retirement!", he said with another laugh as he finished his glass of wine. "I plan on traveling the world on my own terms. No more delivering things around the land. Just you, me, and the open skies.", he added with a grin.
