Mane/Tail: GiGi's mane is a fluffy, curly, wavy mess of light blue and lilac, having a mind of it's own and going whichever way it feels like at the moment, her tail is rather straight though, just a bit puffy, and rahter long, being mostly purple with a streak of the light blue in it.

Physique: Just a little pudgy and on the short side, having to sometimes look up to look other ponies in the eyes, but she's spry, and quick.

Residence: The Crystal Empire!

Occupation: Chocolate-er!

History: GiGi was born to two Equestria renounced confection wizards!(Not real ones of course) Her mother Spun Sugar could make the most elaborate and not to mention beautiful sugar art! Her work decorated many a high class wedding cake! While her Father Coco Butter was more into chocolate making; filled truffles, dipped strawberries , chocolate ganache covered cakes! You name it! The two ran a very popular and upscale confections shop in Canterlot called "Dark Sugar Sweets"

Right off the young unicorn was immersed in the world of sweets, candy, and sugar work, but there was more to it than getting a sugar high; Her parents put a lot of time, work and expression into each piece! From her mothers beautifully crafted, and oh so delicate sugar work, to her father's carefully constructed, complex, and beautiful chocolate work. To them this was art, this was their method of expression.

Gigi found that she too wanted to express herself like her parents, and so one day for a class surprise at lunch time Gigi decided to try and make her own concoction! Something special and unique ! Though with proper supervision ofcourse; After several hours of planning a recipe and tinkering with techniques Gigi made what looked like gumballs! However they weren't gumballs at all, but balls of delicious salted caramel and chocolate covered in a sweet, yet oh so shiny and colorful sugar shell!

When she finished and had bagged all the bags of candy, she was sure that she was going to get her cutie mark! Peeking at her flank she pouted realizing she was as blank as ever... with a slightly heavy heart, the pink pony trotted to class, during the lessons she payed half attention, glancing down at her flank, because she had been so SURE she woulda gotten it!

Come lunch time Gigi mustered up the enthusiasm to present each foal in her class with a bag of the candies, a few looking confused because..who gives gum for a present? It was just weird... Their faces made Gigi feel unsure in her abilities, maybe she had disguised it a little too well?

Suddenly one of the fillies let out a squeak "IT'S CRUNCHY!" She exclaimed "Ooh and it's chocolate! It's not really gum!"

All of the other students excitedly plucked one of the bags, the room soon filled with the crunching of candy shells, Gigi felt a shiver go down her spine, seeing other ponies enjoying the food that looked like something else! The surprise on their faces and their glee at the switcharoo made something inside her click! That was her talent! Bringing joy and crafting sweets that looked like other things! The surprise factor!

There was a little tingling in her flank and when she glanced down there was her cutie mark, a replica of the bags of candy she gave out to represent her talent of bringing joy, and for the unique ability to make deceptive, yet delicious treats.

It was all uphill from there! After school Gigi attended a culinary school to hone her skills, she was in heaven! Meeting and mingling with classmates, crafting new recipes, it was all a great joy for her! However something still didn't quite feel right..

So Gigi decided to compete after she graduated, entering several competitions for desserts and such, always presenting something exciting and different, like a cake that looked like a pie! Or a delicious mousse that looked like it was tiramisou! It was all in the surprise for her, and she loved it!

But being the child of two famous sugar and chocolate masters cast a huge shadow, and Gigi was growing tired of hearing how she was "Just like her mom and dad" with her creativity, and it made her scrunch her muzzle, and blow a huffy breath of irritation, surely they couldn't see the forest for the trees!? Gigi wasn't even owning her own shop, but instead working in her parents shop.

One day they got news that the Crystal Empire had returned! It was brand new to Gigi! And suddenly a light bulb went off! She could go there to share her work! NOPONY there would know about her parents, and she'd be able to make her own name! With heartfelt goodbyes Gigi packed up and moved to the Crystal Empire, now running a small confection shop in the Crystal Empire Market District, and taking residence in one of the homes in the Sunstone Ward.

Character Summary: Gigi is a positive bundle of energy, always eager to make friends, and to share her treats, often outside her shop jingling a little silver bell with her magic while announcing free samples of her latest treat. Gigi also tries very hard to be her own person, and sometimes can't really handle "copying" especially if it's a technique of hers.

Despite her upbeat attitude and confidence, she is always sort of seeking approval, wanting to make everyone happy and sometimes forgetting to make HERSELF happy;She is also worried about having her work compared to someone elses (mainly her parents).

When not making sweets and treats, Gigi actually enjoys several other hobbies, she loves to knit, garden (though only a small window box of tulips) and to read, loving adventure stories the most, especially the Daring Do series! She also has a great love for the theater, be it bridalway, film or a stage performance done by fillies! She loves acting,and puts her best performance forward when given a role.

The silly pink mare also fancies herself quite a poet, however her poems are rather lacking

"Roses are Rose colored, and violets are too, Candy is Dandy and Mushroom stew!"

As a simple example of her "talent"

She overall is a bubbly, slightly insecure pony, trying to strike her own trail instead of following in her parents hoofsteps and shadows.
