“Winter Wrap Up?” Rainbow Dash groaned and turned over on her cloud. “Why does it have to be sooooo early every year? I mean come on!” She snorted into the cloud as her pet turtle Tank whirred in front of her on his helicopter harness. “Having it early every once in a while is one thing, but doing that every year?” Tank peered at her through his flight goggles.

“I know, I know, get your lazy tail up huh?” Tank nodded. “Fine, I'm gettin' I'm gettin'!.” She grinned at her pet as she stood up and stretched out her wings. “Gotta wear my official team leader vest!” She shrugged into the blue team captain uniform of the weather team. So she was standing proudly on the cloud, wide awake and ready to go.

“Race you there!” Rainbow chuckled and took off with a multi colored streak from her cloud. As she flew towards town hall she reminded herself of everything her team was responsible for. “Let’s see… there’s the southern birds to bring back, winter clouds to bust so the sun can shine through, and of course dumping the snow off all those tree branches.” A smile spread over her muzzle as she flew onwards. “Perfect jobs for pegasi… oh and griffons if any show up.”

Soon she was at the appointed meeting area. There were already quite a few ponies there. Eager participants and of course the other team captains were waiting nearby. Everything was sure to run smoothly this year. Twilight would make sure of that. Rainbow took a look at all the clouds in the sky and loads of snow blanketing the trees. True the winter had not been too harsh, but there was still plenty of wrapping up to do!

“Let’s get this party started!” She yelled loud enough for anypony around to hear her. She glanced around to see who else was wearing a blue vest.

Flashbomb stood at the meeting spot with the other ponies who come to help out. He flapped his wings trying to get more comfortable with the vest that he always had to wear for the wrap up. To him their job was simpler than what the earth team had to go through, and the animal team ran the risk of having to deal with a sleepy bear. He heard the flap of wings nearby and caught sight of the cyan pegasus that he had seen many of times before flying through the skies here and there.

She seemed to have enthusiasm which others in the group seemed to lack. It was a new feeling that he welcomed with a open heart and decided that he would join her. He trotted up and smiled to her, his blue vest showing fully. He was ready for the task at hoof no matter how hard it seemed. "Ready to go when you are." He chimed in a warm tone.

Though her home was now Cloudsdale, Ginger was a born and bred Ponyville pony and felt that she was here to do her dues! dawning her blue vest as well as her hat as per usual she grinned as she hovered in the air as the rainbow maned pony zipped into sight "Ahhhh yeah! This is gonna be one big hootinany!" She exclaimed, pumping a hoof in the air, flying in a bit of a loop "We're gonna kick so much winter tail that they'll just see a streak as we get it done!"

Probably a bit too enthusiastic but Ginger was dang excited to do some good ol pegasi stuff, she had been a farm pony most of her life, so her flying wasn't the best, BUT in her time in Cloudsdale she had improved she liked to think!

Sky Write hovered just above the other ponies, trying to get a view. His blue vest wasn't the most comfortable thing he had ever worn, but it certainly wasn't the worst. Although he had to adjust it a few times, he figured that it was a small price to pay for helping to wrap up the winter to allow the spring sun to shine in.

His thoughts were soon interrupted by a trail of rainbow whizzing by along with a loud "whoosh" noise.

"I guess it's almost time to get started," Sky whispered quietly to himself as he tried, once again, to adjust his vest around his wings.

Although he wasn't a very strong flier, Sky felt that he should help in any way he could. He was, after all, staying for a week or two, so he should help the citizens of this friendly town.

Rainbow swooped a few loops in while some pegusi came to join the weather team. They looked to be a capable enough group and she knew more would soon be on the way.

"Ready to go when you are."

"Great! Well just wait a bit longer to see who else shows up and then kick this into high gear!"

"We're gonna kick so much winter tail that they'll just see a streak as we get it done!"

Now here was a pony that shared Dash's enthusiasm for the task at hoof! "Heck yes!" Rainbow flew over to give the yellow pegasus a hoof bump. "Let's consider the weather side of this winter wrapped up!"

Dash looked up and saw another pegasus flying about. He hadn't said anything yet but Dash could see his blue vest from where she was. "Ready to get some cloud busting done?" She called up to him.

"Alright you lot! While we're waiting for the others, let's see what you've got!" She pointed to an area of the sky that was full of dark colored clouds. "Let's see the sun shining through there! Kick some clouds!" She called out with excitement.

This was an interesting opportunity for Mistral. She had never participated in Winter wrap up before seeing as she was not a native to Ponyville however since she was in town she figured it couldn't hurt to lend a helping hoof (or wing). She wasn't the sturdiest of Pegasi but she could definitely Fly incredibly well and extremely fast so she figured she could be a great help with rounding up the birds and busting up clouds.

Mistral for the time being was doing her usual wing exercises For the time being, She was determined to get herself stronger since the Nightmare night fiasco where she had injured her wing because of her natural frailty. The one thing she couldn't fix with practice was her poor eyesight, luckily the prescription goggles on her face easily made up for that. Her normal clean and styled look that she usually took when out in public and on her more fun job was now replaced by a slightly shabby and unkempt look that oddly enough worked very well for her. The lenses of her goggles might have been slightly off putting as they were thick enough that the eyes behind them were barely visible at all.

“Let’s get this party started!” She yelled loud enough for anypony around to hear her. She glanced around to see who else was wearing a blue vest.

Hearing the exclamation from the leader of the weather team, Misty took off and darted into the Air Shouting,"Alright! Let's do dis! I'm ready and raring ta go!" She said loudly in her pronounced manehattan accent while idly fluttering around above the ground.

Derpy Hooves knew it was a bad idea to stay up almost all night before she went to bed. She knew she needed to wake up early this morning for Winter Wrap Up. But no, she thought it was a better idea to get her income taxes finished all in one fell swoop. For the price of one night lost, Miss Hooves obtained time dedicated solely to the annoying, easily delayed ritual of filing taxes. Because it was so annoying filing them at the very last minute; last time cut a little too close as it was.

So thirty minutes before all teams were due to assemble, Derpy finally arose from her slumber. Realizing the rush required of her, the googly eyed pegasus only gave herself enough time to gorge on a bowl of cereal. No time to brush her mane, and surely no time at all to find where she put her Weather Team vest on? Derpy didn’t care too much for leaving without her vest; handling weather for a living, Winter Wrap Up was basically nothing more than another day on the job. Derpy Hooves, a Ponyville Weather Team employee who was part of the Winter Wrap Up Weather Team. You know, that has a nice ring to it.

That didn’t stop Derpy from arriving at the rally point all groggy. She only managed to arrive just as team leader Rainbow Dash finished a prep speech of hers. “Hiya uhhhh Rainbow,” the gray pegasus slurred; “Ready to have, uhhh, a good dayyyy today?”

As he was hovering through the air, Sky took notice of the cyan-colored pegasus who seemed to be the leader of the Weather Team. He heard her shout up to him, "Ready to get some cloud busting done?"

Sky raised his hoof into the air above him and waved, shouting, "Yeah, let's do this!"

He then heard her command to clear some nearby clouds. He looked towards the area full of gray clouds, which were blocking out much of the sunlight. Sky quickly flew towards the clouds and hovered in front of one of the smaller ones.

With a quick punch of the hoof, the cloud vanished in a puff of, well, cloud. Sky continued to rid the sky of clouds with a slight smile across his lips. It had been a while since Sky had gotten to actually have a part in cloud-busting.

Flash was very well surprised by everypony's enthusiasum. He was one to consider the Wrap Up to be just chores for bringing in a new season. However he did consider that he should make his best effort to at least try to make things fun.

He brushed his long windswept yellow mane out of his eyes and inhaled deeply before taking to the sky. His blue wings allowing him to reach the height of where another had gotten to. Examining him punching a cloud and making it dissapear with ease. Looking to the cloud layer he got a small idea. Flying close he turned his hind hooves to the dark surface and kicked outwards. The cloud almost buckled but he was very carefull in the kick to send it moving to a few others. It bounced against another cloud and they both dissapated in a poof of moisture. Two birds one stone!

He smiled at his work and flew to another cloud to proceed to do the same, giving them a light kick and letting the momentum carry them to run into their brothers and sisters before dissapearing here and there as well. He had made a good dent but there were so many clouds left to go. Without hesitation he flew around rinsing and repeating his process.

Cloudchaser was always happy to help out each year for Winter Wrap Up. It was important and it was also kind of fun. In her foalhood days in Las Pegasus there really wasn't anything like it since the weather stayed pretty constant there. Since moving to Ponyville, it had become one of her favorite traditions to take part in, even if there was that one year where she had almost been attacked by a manticore. On the whole, it was a fun time for the town to get together and work toward a common goal. Weather ponies like her were in hot demand throughout the whole process too! It was pretty cool.

She was just a little late in arriving for weather team duties. She was a night weather pony, and also kind of absentminded, so this happened a lot. She just tended to sleep in whenever she had to do anything in the day. It was a lucky thing she had Flitter around to wake her up before it got too late or she'd probably just miss out and then Dashie would probably be disappointed with her. She wasn't going to let that happen though. No, she was prepared to be the most awesome, productive weather pony on the whole team! Maybe with just her efforts alone she'd offset whatever Derpy did. That would be a feat!

Speeding up to where she saw Dash and the others, she stopped and gave a nod. "Heya, Dashie! Sorry I'm late," she started with a grin as she greeted her weather team leader. "Cloud busting, huh? I got this!" she said, deducing the task at hoof from what the others seemed to be doing.

"Just you watch! This Cloudchaser doesn't just chase clouds, she can bust them up nice and good too!" she said proudly before soaring upward into the sky with her forehooves extended. Her momentum had her pierce straight through a large, puffy cloud, destrying it instantly.

It was her quest to learn about the land that she now lived in and the ponies that called home. So when Raven Duskwing heard about the annual tradition of Winter Wrap Up, she was curious. In particular she was interested in the Weather Team, something that featured the Pegasus ponies that she was in constant close contact with in Cloudsdale.

For the moment the dark blue griffon sat of a cloud watching as several rainbow ponies would fly up, bust a cloud and then repeat the process. It looked easy enough, but she wasn't sure if it was just easy for Pegesai and not griffons as she never tried to bust one.

"Um... hi there." Raven said in a deadpanned tone. "So this Weather team just goes around breaking up clouds? This may seem like a strange question but is this something that only Pegasus ponies can do or can griffons help as well?"

Pathfinder.png

Pathfinder didn't often consider her actions to be troublemaking at their core. They were just fun adventures on the periphery of sanity and the edge of reason, where traps and villains coalesced out of fantasy and into a living, breathing reality. She wouldn't have it any other way. Where else, how else, could you spend one day dodging spinning blades and the next poison fumes? One day outrunning a boulder made out of lava and the next one made out of ice? Where arrows were being fired out of walls and pony-sized spiders tried to debate you on the ethics of repopulating the Nimbusgaits with new fish while it was poisoning you, Pathfinder was there. The thrill of adventure was what drove her and it was only because artifacts appeared at the end of the adventures that she took them. Monatery gain was foreign to her, as anypony may guess based on her empty bit purse. As long as she could restock her supplies and live, she was fine. Adventure was sustenance all to itself.

Which is why the accusations against her were mostly untrue. Sorta untrue. Kind of untrue. See, she had managed to break into what she thought had been a sealed cavern where ancient treasures were found. It turned out she had found an underground entrance into a mansion and had stolen from some rich nobleponies in Roam. She had felt pretty bad about that and returned the family heirlooms as soon as she had found out. After all, she just wanted to adventure and she had wondered why it had been so easy! Well, the elderly couple who owned the mansion weren't so keen on letting her off that easy. They pressed all manner of charges. Most were dropped because of Pathfinder's quick action on returning the items. But her history- more than one hundred and sixteen tresspassing convictions in the past year alone. Who knew the law extended to some ruins? - as well as her inability to lie when they asked her if she would stop meant she had to be punished somehow. And boy, what a boring punishment it was.

She was told to report to Ponyville, where she would work with the Weather team to shut winter down. It was required work as Pathfinder knew, the teams needing to bring it to a halt so spring could blossom the following day. That was just how the world worked. But it entailed being stuck doing boring work in the same old place for a full day! Where was the excitement? The danger? The adventure? Unless explosive clouds showed up out of the blue and then grew sentience and started to attack ponies, the whole thing seemed incredibly lame. But oh well. She did feel bad about breaking into that mansion by accident. Mostly she felt bad about lobbing smoke bombs at the hired help who ran down into the relic room to see what the commotion was about. In hindsight, a bad move. She also felt bad about bringing down what she thought was a fake wall when in reality it had just been a wall. Oh well. It was an easy mistake: Where WEREN'T fake walls a thing? They were dumb to not have them! Who knows what psycho might break in and try to steal your family heirlooms?!

And so she flew to Ponyville to the point she was told to arrive at. Ad what did she see? Cloooooooudbustin'! That was the only thing involving weather control that wasn't completely boring! Pathfinder charged towards the closest cloud without warning or direction and flailed wildly as she slammed into it, busting it in the most foalish manner possible. She hadn't received any training after all. And her legs still hurt from kicking in that wall.

"HUUUUUZZAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! BUST A MOVE BUST A CLOUD BUST-BUST-BUSTER BREAKER!"

"Alright! Let's do dis! I'm ready and raring ta go!"

"Yeah, let's do this!"

Dash smiled as two more ponies flew upwards to start busting clouds. At this rate the sky would be completely free of clouds in no time! "That's the way team! Woo-hoo!" She encouraged the ponies as they went to work with a will. Various pegasi could be seen, kicking, diving, and generally busting the clouds to bits.

“Ready to have, uhhh, a good dayyyy today?”

Rainbow tried to keep from rolling her eyes as Derpy came onto the scene. The grey pegasus always seemed sort of loopy, but today she was loopier than usual... if that was possible. She could only guess what kinds of antics Derpy would start. Still she was a pegasus, and permanent member oft he weather department so Dash relented quickly.

"Heya Depry! You ready to get your cloud bustin' skills on?"

"Just you watch! This Cloudchaser doesn't just chase clouds, she can bust them up nice and good too!"

"Hey Cloudchaser! Glad you could make it!" Dash responded to the friendly pegasus. "That's the stuff!" She called as Cloudchaser took a cloud head on.

"So this Weather team just goes around breaking up clouds? This may seem like a strange question but is this something that only Pegasus ponies can do or can griffons help as well?"

Dash turned to see a griffon had now come her way. She had thought perhaps a few griffons might show up and now here one was! She just hoped Gilda wouldn't show up. Nothing spoiled her good mood like that griffon could.

"Sure!" Dash looked the new griffon over. She seemed capable of whatever task the weather team might dish out. "Right now everyone is bustin' some clouds to get warmed up. If you want to join in go give it a shot!"

"HUUUUUZZAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! BUST A MOVE BUST A CLOUD BUST-BUST-BUSTER BREAKER!"

Wow! Now that was some energetic activity coming from the next pegasus on the scene. Dash watched her go to work, bustin' clouds in a generally filly like fashion.

"Alright weather team! Everyone line up for your responsibilities!" Rainbow exclaimed. It was time to give everyone a specific responsibility. She had seen enough to know who should go where and if others showed up they could jump in where she placed them.

"Here's who's gonna be responsible for what! You, you and you... (Flashbomb, Sky Write and Mistral)... you're job is gonna be to go get the southern birds. They're already on their way so they'll just need your encouragement. You, you and you (Ginger Kick, Dusk Wing, and Pathfinder) you're gonna just keep doing what you've been doing. Bust those clouds! Cloudkicker, Derpy, and myself are gonna work on general snow clean up around here. Ok everypony and everygriffon, let's wrap it up!"

Dash flew over to a large tree and began to jump on the branches. Snow fell down towards the ground and clumps as she bounced about with a will. A large flock of multi colored birds could be seen coming over the horizon from the south.

*feel free to have your pony or griffon give their name to Dash whenever :)*

gI0gbs.pngProfessor Clyde Krashkop

"ACH! UNEEMAL! i am very late!" the elderly green Pegasus stallion shouted as he flew through the sky at his top speed, desparately seeking out Rainbow Dash, the leader of the Weather Team. The Professor had promise Mayor Mare that he was come to help with this year's Winter Wrap Up, but he had overslept and realized he needed to fly swiftly in order to not miss getting an assignment from the team leader.

"Oh dere she is! HELLO! FRAULIEN RAINBOW DASH!" the fast moving Pegasus shouted out from a distance. As he attempted to slow down so he could hover beside her, he started to lose control of his flight path. Wobbling from side to side and up and down, the wayward flying Professor soon struck a big cloud that happened to be floating by. The cloud separated in all directions, except for the small section the elderly winged pony soon found himself floating on.

"Dat vas vone of mein better crashes!" he neighed as the cloud soon came to a stop near Rainbow Dash. "Professor Clyde Krashkop, reporting for duty, fraulien!"

Bird encouragement? Not the job Misty would've chosen for herself, but beggars can't be choosers as they say,"Da name's Misty, Ma'am! I'll make sure we get dose birds down here in a flash." WIth a powerful flap of her wings she took to the skies, Surveying the area and catching a glimpse of the approaching flock in the distance. Wow there were quite a few of them, but they could be moving faster and it seemed there was the occasional straggling bird that was drifting away from the coming flock, "Thank Celestia fa dese Goggles..." she thought to herself before looking to Flashbomb and Skywrite.

Taking a deep breath she spoke up in an almost challenging tone,"C'mon you two, We're not gettin' any younger! Last one there has ta clean up after 'em!" She shouted before Speeding off towards the flock. SHe didn't want to scare the birds off however, so she decided to approach them from a sidelong approach. If a pegasus as fast as her went at top speed towards the flock, the birds might scatter so as she drew closer the Ivory coated pegasus decreased speed to keep from threatening the feathered friends.

It did not take Wind Walker long enough to find the group of Pegasi who were in charge of wrapping up winter in the sky. While she was not old enough to be part of the official team, she was more than capable of learning, so she would be better prepared to help slap away the winter clouds when she was older. The filly had read up about the different ways the inhabits of Ponyville took care of the winter season, while riding the train from her former home in Canterlot. Where she came from, the season was ended mostly with magic. It was quick and usually very effective, but Ponyville was founded by Earth Ponies, and while other types of ponies had moved in over the years, they all still follow the ‘Earth Pony Way’.

As she got closer to the group, she recognized a few of the Pegasi. There was that crazy mare that hassled A.K. Yearling at a book signing Wind Walker had attended with her older sister. There was also the silly older stallion with the odd accent, she was later told that he was probably from Germane. And last, but not at all least, was Rainbow Dash, one of the land's most famous heroes. Knowing Rainbow Dash was obviously going to be the team leader, the filly quickly made her way towards the mare. "Hey!", she tried her best to gain the older pony's attention, "Hey Hey! I'm Wind Walker. Here to help. Here to learn! Just point me where to go, and I'll do both!"

Sky was just finishing up with cloud busting when he heard the command to line-up. The other ponies had certainly helped make the job a little easier.

Quickly, almost instinctively, Sky turned to face the southern horizon to see another pegasus pony flying towards a flock of birds. "C'mon you two, We're not gettin' any younger! Last one there has ta clean up after 'em!"

"Oh, I do not want to clean up that kind of mess!" Sky shouted after Misty as he quickly raced after her. He then noticed that she had begun to slow down. Looking beyond her, Sky also noticed that a few of the birds appeared to be separating from the rest of the flock. Realizing that coming in to fast would most likely scare many of the birds away, he slowed his pace down to just a bit faster than the pegasus ahead of him in order to catch up with her.

Sky figured that this wouldn't be too difficult a task, all he has to do is guide them in the right path, right? Perhaps this wouldn't be as labor-intensive as he had earlier assumed. But this might be a tad boring, which Sky wasn't too happy about, after all, he did want to have at least a little fun during his stay in Ponyville.

“Cloud busting?” Derpy Hooves momentarily wondered, her mind still sluggish from an improper waking-up routine. It took a few seconds before she fully processed Rainbow Dash’s question; “Oh yeah, that! Sure uhhh... I’m really for that! Yep yep!!!” Once Derpy received instructions to work on snow-cleaning duty, the gray pegasus followed Rainbow’s lead and started stomping on a branch herself. Oblivious at the moment to everything else around or below her, the young mare begun the task of clearing snow off of the trees. So far, everything looked set to run smoothly enough, just as one didn't too close to a Miss Hooves at work.....

Cloudkicker?

Cloudchaser shot a glance at Dash, somewhat taken aback. One one hoof, Dash wanted her to be one of the pegasi that helped her out personally. On the other hoof, she had just gotten her name wrong and right after she had made her awesome cloud chasing pun too! Or was that the problem? She had brought attention to her name while she was kicking a cloud and that's what had stuck? Yeah, it had to be something like that. Cloudchaser realised that Rainbow Dash was super important, friend of princess, Wonderbolt reservist in training, captain of the Ponyville weather team and all that of course, but she still held hope to the fact that Rainbow Dash had just made a mistake and actually knew who she was. They were comrades! They trained together at the Wonderbolt Academy and everything.

Though what now? Did she correct Dash? That would maybe not be nice to do it. It was probably an honest mistake after all. it just left Chaser feeling a little unsure of herself. But no, she had to do her best to keep to together. That was her job here. And right then she was just standing around vacantly like an idiot. That was no good. She shook her head slowly and decided to kick herself back into gear.

"Happy to help, Dashie!" she ultimately said without a hint of trepidation. Of course, by that point, Dash was already nowhere nearby, jumping on a tree branch to shake down some snow. Chaser brought her hoof to her face in embarrassment and sighed. She then decided just to fly to join her. That's when she noticed Derpy.

"Hey!" she called out to the gray mare. "You need to watch out when you do it, Derpy. You need to be careful with it! Make sure you look down and see what's below you before you let the snow come tumbling down. Otherwise you're just going to end up covering some poor pony in the stuff..." she said, flying up to the other pegasus. Derpy was an odd one. She was kind of like a liability for the Ponyville weather team. Cloudchaser herself was often a bit of a bonehead by admission, but Derpy could just take it too far sometimes. If she was going to help today, she was going to need to be watched.

Flash had watched everypony take off to do their own seperated assigned jobs. Some gave their names to the rainbow maned mare and some even gave some utterly crazy introductions that seemed quite out of the ordianary for him, but he wasnt one to tell them how to live their lives. Instead he watched as the two he was supposed to work with took off after the Southern Birds. He guessed he was the loser then eh? He chuckled and flapped his wings to fly after them to help out where he would be needed.

The job seemed simple just like every other job. It felt just like herding cows, Not that he had any experience but he had watched one of the Apple family herd cows before. He did as he usually did and kept mostly to himself, not going out of his way to interact with the other two and keeping an eye on the birds as they flew in the direction that seemed the most desireable.

He did see one bird break away from the flock and fly off quite a ways, he was surprised by how small it was. Flapping his wings a little harder he took after it, it zipped down into a waylayed tree. Flashbomb flew close to the branches and scratched his head. This small sparrow had the intention of making his day rough. Panning around the snow covered tree he hummed. Placing his ear to the powdered branches he listened for the small chirps and shuffles of the tiny bird within. He had found a perfect spot nearest the bird and readied himself.

With a quick inhale he poked his head into the snowy branches. "BOO!" He said alloud. The bird chirped in surpirse and took off out of the tree just as he guessed it would. Retracting his muzzle from the tree he had a homemade Old Timer beard made of frost. He shook his head clearing the snow and taking off after the sparrow. It tried once more to fly into a different tree but the blue pegasus justted between the two and felt the sparrow bump into his chest. Giving a defiant chirp it took off back into the sky and to the flock. "Thats the ticket...." He laughed. He followed it back up and reached the flock once more.

He reserved himself to only speaking when spoken to now, deciding to mind his own buissiness and the task at hoof. Not that he was Unsocial but it was how he generally went about day to day activities. The breeze felt nice on his coat and he couldnt help but smile, Spring would be in bloom very soon at this pace. Flash couldnt wait.

Here came Cloudchaser, another one of Derpy’s associates on the full-time weather team. The two never got to talk all that much on the job, since the two pegasi shared different shifts. But in the time they have managed to spend together, Derpy Hooves regarded the other as a fellow fun-loving pony, who didn’t let anything get between her and happiness... and everypony needed to be happy, right?

But right now, Cloudchaser was acting a bit like a killjoy. “What’s the problem with that?” Derpy responded to the concerns while moving on to another branch; “It’s fun to get buried by snow! Seriously, it’s like being a living snowman. You should try becoming one today; it'll be your last chance before the next winter.”

"Busting clouds," Raven said to Rainbow Dash looking at the sky, "Ok then. And my name is Raven Duskwing, but you can call me Raven. Everypony and griffon else does."

She flew up to the nearest cloud she could find and tried flying right through it like other Pegasus ponies. She was successful but she immediately shook her head while in flight as if she smacked into a wall.

"Guess those clouds are tougher than I thought," she said rubbing her head wondering how ponies managed to break them head first. She then tried a new method, one that she knew would work. With a sound that was a mix between a panther howl and a raven's cry she pounced on another nearby cloud with her talons bared, ripping the fluffy thing to pieces, unbeknownst that this might raise an alarm with other ponies around her.

Professor Krashkop didn't wait for the team leader to give him an assignment. As an older stallion, he realized he simply didn't have to stamina to fly great distances and lead birds back home from the south. So, he decided to bust clouds instead. As he was working on his corner of the sky, he witnessed the exchange between Cloudchaser and Derpy Hooves. As a rule, the Professor didn't like to meddle in other pony's business, but as a former university professor, the green Pegasus stallion's nurturing instincts kicked in, so he flew over to the two hovering mares.

"Frauliens, please! Vee must not quarrel like dis," the Professor said in a calm and kind tone of voice. "Vee have important vork to do. Frau Cloudchaser, I am sure dat Frau Derpy vill not be targeting ponies below us to cover vith snow. Und Frau Derpy, I don't tink Frau Cloudchaser vants to be a snowpony at dee moment. Dis task vill go much better if vee all vork together, ja?"

Sky quickly flew over to the flock of birds and took up a position where he noticed a bird or two escaping the flock. With every bird that escaped the flock, Sky quickly rounded the feathery fellow up and lead him back to the flock.

Looking over towards the area where he had last seen Flash, he noticed that the blue pegasus had chased a bird down to a nearby tree, which was still covered in snow. He looked on as Flash stuck his head under the snow and shouted, "BOO!" causing the small bird to flap out from under the powdery snow, only to attempt to fly to another tree.

Sky smirked as he brought his mind back to his own job. He noticed movement out of the corner of his eye and turned his head to see a small, blue bird flying away from the flock. With a quiet, "Uh, oh," Sky took chase after the bird. He quickly blocked the path of the creature and pointed back towards the flock. "Come on now, back to the flock. Don't worry little guy, we're almost there," Sky said as he patted the blue bird on the head.

Sky watched on as the bird flew back into the flock and resumed his spot. "Maybe I'm better with animals than I thought," Sky followed the bird's path back towards the flock and took back his spot. Looking ahead, towards Ponyville, Sky noticed that they actually weren't that far off.

After her hoof bump, Ginger grinned and got to work! No time to be social! Flying head first into a cloud to bust it! Doing a loop before kicking another cloud in the FACE!

"YEEEEHAWW!" She exclaimed, grinning ear to ear "Cmon team bust them clouds! Bust them clouds!" She called out, kicking another one with her back hoof, extending her hoof in the air "We should sing a cloud bustin song to get us in the spirit! Kick this cloud, kick this cloud One two three four!" She sang out, kicking another one "Together we can clear this sky! One two three four!"
