Ink, Brand, That Guy, The Enforcer (CC)

Earth Pony

Young Stallion

Manehatten

General Information:

● Runs a tattoo parlor from the bottom floor of his apartment in Manehatten. Works with both temporary dyes and permanent tattoos, though the former is used only in certain situations at a customer's request. Both stock of dye are regularly enchanted by a Unicorn friend of his.

● Is on good terms with his immediate family, but hardly sees them due to his traveling around all the time. Also owns an Arctic Fox pet named Chime.

Strengths:

● Exceptionally durable, able to take and sustain an extremely large amount of damage due to a high endurance level for fatigue and pain. Inkbrand holds up well in any sort of endurance situation, including extreme weather conditions and sleepless nights, and his threshold for physical pain itself is very high. This endurance also extends to his mental capabilities, resulting in Inkbrand being unsusceptible to permanent emotional and visceral manipulations.

● Physicality, outside of Inkbrand's high endurance. He is, overall, a very physically capable Earth Pony, with a large amount of strength, good speed, and keen reflexes. His dangerous line of work as a pony-for-hire, during Inkbrand's early wandering years, has resulted in a physicality that is not matched by the average pony.

● Confidence, making Inkbrand largely immune to most mental attacks that would otherwise cause a pony to doubt themselves. Often described similarly to stubbornness, Inkbrand maintains such a self-assured outlook on himself that he almost never second-guesses his position on anything, a trait that can even rub off onto other, less sanguine ponies.

Weaknesses:

● Confidence, a fine line with arrogance that can cause Inkbrand to underestimate the challenge ahead of himself. Trotting hoof and hoof with stubbornness, the same confidence that he carries into all his interactions can leave Inkbrand without the full picture or all the consequences. Believing that nopony has a right to dictate what is "acceptable" and what isn't, he can get very defensive when his faults are brought up, causing him to shut down against new information that may be beneficial to both himself and his life in general.

● Intelligence, as Inkbrand is the very definition of "brawn over brains". Though he can strategize to some extent if needed, he is definitely the type to charge down the front door rather than sneak in through the back. Inkbrand lives by what he experiences rather than what he reads about in a book, and he rarely bothers to learn past anything he explicitly needs in the moment.

● Mushrooms, a food item that makes Inkbrand violently sick if he happens to consume one.

Likes:

● 'Fresh' scents, such as citrus, mowed grass, and clean linen sheets.
● Bustling, busy, and otherwise jumping places.
● Outgoing and interesting ponies, especially ones that know how to take a joke.
● Relaxing, and being generally laid-back.
● Pretty mares in general.
● Physical activities, such as sports.
● Storms, particularly lightning storms, and being able to watch them.

Disikes:

● Boring or uptight ponies, especially ones that easily get offended.
● Mushrooms, any and all types.
● Unicorn magic, especially when he's moved against his will.
● Being judged based on his appearance and rumors.
● Other ponies who cast him as the "villain" no matter what the situation.
● Being forced to be still for an extended period of time.
● Scholarly activities, such as reading and studying.

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

August // Best Friend. A Peryton that Inkbrand met and became fast friends with. He considers August to be his best friend, and trusts him with intimate secrets that he trusts with nopony else. August is the first one Inkbrand turns to if he needs to unwind, rant, or simply allow himself to fully relax, and the two are comfortable enough with each other to maintain a "what's mine is yours" sort of mentality, easily barging into each other's homes and laying claim to their items.

Sugar Star // Friend, Casual Interest. No one was more surprised than Inkbrand when he started hanging out with the naive and gullible Sugar Star, especially considering how easily he gets annoyed with ponies that express extreme shyness and timidness over anything romantic. Her propensity to blush and stammer when even the most remote flirt comes up can still grate on his nerves, but her otherwise outgoing and friendly disposition have made her a well-liked pony for Inkbrand to call a friend.

Derpy Hooves // Friend? As tiresome or irritating as the Pegasus' seemingly hazarded train of thought can be to follow, Inkbrand can't help but feel some form of affection for the likable and almost foal-like Derpy Hooves. Given that the grey Pegasus was pretty genial during the entire fiasco of Flim and Flam's scamming session, the two seem to get along fairly well, enough for Inkbrand to make casual conversation with the other pony whenever they cross paths.

Razor Ironclaw // Acquaintance. Though, Inkbrand is hesitant to call him that, if anything. Of the few times he has actually interacted with the griffon, one or both of them have been under some sort of enchantment, to the point where Inkbrand can't help feel there is some sort of bizarre cosmic curse resting on their meetings. Add to the fact that the two of them usually end up brawling, and Inkbrand is hard pressed not to feel the slightest twinge of displeasure whenever the now familiar feathered head comes into view.

Lore Weaver // Friend? In all truth, the purple Unicorn is not the type of pony Inkbrand would normally associate with, given the other pony's almost painfully polite attitude. Still, Lore Weaver seems mostly impervious to Inkbrand's own style of humor, resulting in neutral to positive interactions whenever the two of them meet. The Unicorn's helpfulness during Inkbrand's own stint into a library has also softened his view of the other stallion, and Lore Weaver is an alright kind of guy in Inkbrand's books, even if they are not particularly close.

JavaSun // Hated Enemy. An Earth Pony that Inkbrand has had some dealings with, during his work with WRAITH. Inkbrand got a chance to know the other pony better after JavaSun sent him an invitation to visit, though the event turned out to be an excuse for the other stallion to settle a personal grudge. Following further disturbing and contradictory actions on JavaSun's part, Inkbrand has fully labeled the brown Earth Pony as a hated presence - not so much a rival, but more a face he feels the need to punch the moment it makes an appearance in his general vicinity.

Naj // Friend. Despite a rocky beginning filled with mistrust and old prejudices, Naj's courageous decision to show up to the Grand Galloping Gala undisguised eventually won Inkbrand over. The Changeling is one of the few ponies he has encountered who disagreed with him over a subject, yet still listened to his own point of view and opinions, and ultimately opted to follow up on them. Inkbrand has no trouble referring to Naj as a friend of his now, a relationship that might even pave the way for more Changelings in his life.

Crystal Moon // Estranged Foalhood Friend. Inkbrand grew up with Crystal Moon in Manehatten, and the two of them grew close despite their differing personalities and interests. After the Unicorn moved away though, Inkbrand began to slowly forget about her, and doesn't think of his old foalhood friend any more. Still, anything he does remember, he remembers fondly, and he vaguely hopes to one day meet up with Usagi again.

Presteza // Hated Acquaintance. Though supposedly well-liked by others, Inkbrand has had only negative run-ins with the cream colored unicorn. After two instances of her attempting to lecture his behavior - once as a total stranger, and the other only as a vague acquaintance - Inkbrand considers her to be conceited and condescending, and has yet to be proven wrong. Her relationship with JavaSun only compounds Inkbrand's negative view of her, and now the unicorn is definitely somepony that Inkbrand despises seeing around town.

Zelda // Ex-Marefriend, Friend. After a first meeting at the Veiled Garden in Canterlot, Inkbrand grew quickly interested in the smooth and sexy griffon, a feeling that was proven mutual during a rave in Canterlot. He finds Zelda both easy and fun to be around, especially considering how nonjudgmental the Griffon is about certain behaviors of his. The two entered a casual relationship that was ended after six months, after realizing that they both wanted different things out a relationship. The two have remained good friends however, a fact that shows in their continued easy-going interactions with one another.

Aquaria Sirensong // Tentative Friend. Given that their first meeting involved the griffon choking and nearly suffocating him on a warm's summer day along the beach, Inkbrand can't help but feel a bit nervous every time he comes in contact with Aquaria. Her amiable and friendly personality make her easy to get along with, but it is obvious the griffon has trouble controlling her strength. Still, Inkbrand finds her good company, even if he does have a tendency to flashback to that first fateful meeting.

Flora Bloom // Friend. At first a target to tease and push around, Inkbrand became pleasantly and bemusedly surprised at the Earth Pony's surprising resilience to his aggressive nature. The evening they spent together ended up with the two of them forming a sort of friendship, one that is rather uncommon for Inkbrand to have with a female. He still finds the mare's seemingly shifting personality a conundrum, but Flora Bloom has made an interesting and unexpected impact on Inkbrand's view of other ponies.

Applejack // Acquaintance, Wayward Ward? Despite Inkbrand's first introduction to the orange mare including the business end of her lasso, he respects Applejack's easy-going and affable nature, not to mention her tough as nails persona. The two have grown closer thanks to a magical mishap that resulted in Applejack's prolonged experience as a young foal, though it is difficult to tell exactly where Inkbrand will stand with the mare once everything is back to normal.

Vinyl Scratch // Friend. Inkbrand became acquainted with the well-known DJ during a trip to the Bohemian Club, and the two soon hit it off. Vinyl is a mare that has a very relaxed and chilled out air, making her "one of the guys" - a fact that Inkbrand enjoys immensely as he doesn't have to worry about her taking offense to his shenanigans and come-ons. The two are close enough for Inkbrand to not constantly make advances or think of her as just pleasing eye candy, though he is not above pestering her into getting a tattoo or three.

Khamsin // Friend. A backflip onto a bar countertop was Inkbrand's introduction to Khamsin, which nonetheless ended up turning the two drunken ponies onto the path of friendship. The two get along fairly well, with Inkbrand comfortable enough to call up the Pegasus for a night on the town at any time of the week, and it is not uncommon to see the two wandering around a city in the wee hours of the morning.

Equestrias Fall Frolic Festival and Dance // With some time to kill between business meetings, Inkbrand visits an autumn festival with Flora Bloom, hosted in one of the most haunted spots in Equestrian lore.

Sugar Cube Corner - Apple Cake Pie and Co. // Inkbrand visits a famous bakery in Ponyville for the first time, intent on picking up any bribe material useful for the foreseeable future.

Seapony Fishbowl! (Sponsored) // Though learning for learning's sake has never been a high priority in Inkbrand's books, a veritable miss-mash of interesting sights, sounds, food and fun are too much a temptation, and a large fishbowl immediately catches his eye as he explores the World Friendship Expo in Manehatten.

Rave at the Electric Mane // A wild night of partying may turn into something more as Inkbrand sets out to lay his claim on a certain somepony.

DJ PON-3's Event Final Round! (Zelda/Inkbrand) // Luckily for Inkbrand, his last speed date is a griffon he's already very familiar with, leaving him feeling pretty good about his chances during the rave.

DJ PON-3's Dating Event R2 (Inkbrand/Clandestine) // Not all dates end on a high note, and Inkbrand's second round of speed-dating leaves him feeling a little uncomfortable, for various reasons.

DJ PON-3's Dating Event (Vinyl/Inkbrand) // Speed-dating has never been part of Inkbrand's definition of 'fun', but a chance to attend one of Vinyl Scratch's famous raves has him all raring to go, especially when he gets his first date of the evening.

Inkbrand's Tattoo Parlor // Even the most laid-back of ponies have to make a living somehow. Inkbrand's Tattoo Parlor stands ready for business at nearly all hours, and for nearly all ponies if the tattoo artist has anything to say about it.

Derpy's magical princess muffins! // Alicorn status doesn't really interest Inkbrand, but he can't help but be intrigued when he comes across a booth selling said ascension.

A Day with Pets in the Park // Pet care has never been more annoying as Inkbrand obligingly takes Chime to spend the day at the pet park in Ponyville, only to be followed by a hated enemy locked in an endless debate.

Do I Pour Gas or Water on the Fire? // When JavaSun confronts him about repairing a relationship that he has absolutely no interest in repairing, Inkbrand has no choice but to retaliate in the only manner he knows how, leaving both ponies with a night to spend in the slammer.

The Desert Storm's Studio of Self Defense // A quick visit to see his friends new self-defense studio ends quickly for Inkbrand, as a run-in with an old grievance leaves him heading right back out again.

Foals at Heart // Ponyville will be Ponyville, and a magical spell that changes a hoof-ful of adult ponies into foals equals an amusing afternoon for Inkbrand.

Dart Struck // As if one time wasn't enough, Inkbrand unintentionally puts himself at risk of another Love Potion induced madness during a Ponyville Hearts and Hooves celebration.

One for the Road // With a promise to a long-gone friend hanging over him, Inkbrand semi-forces Flora Bloom to join his hunt for an apple pie and cliff-side view of the annual Appleloosa Buffalo Run.

The West in Bloom // A visit to the western town of Appleloosa indadvertedly provides Inkbrand with a chance to get to know a mule better, provided he can trick her long enough.

Trottingham: Fang of the Bat // Though Trottingham is normally out of his reach, Inkbrand finds the means to head to the high class city to catch up with some friends, leading to a completely average night.

A New Chapter // The Royal Ponyville Library is open for business, and for once, Inkbrand is interested in a library outside of attempting to look smart for a pretty filly.

Flim & Flam's Sweet Smell of Success // The smell of love is in the air, or at least in the perfume, and Inkbrand becomes even more aggressive as he falls in love for the second time of his life.

The Watering Hole // A successful job equals a very happy Inkbrand, who heads out to the pub in Ponyville to let loose and have a good time with some general, happy drunkenness.

Toys for Talons // A ruined tattoo appointment ends in disappointment for Inkbrand, while a sudden job offer does exactly the same thing.

The Grand Opening of the Diamond Willow Cafe // Inkbrand finds some time to relax with Vinyl Scratch at the newly opened Diamond Willow Cafe, though perhaps not in the way he originally imagined.

A Day Out //Though shopping is never high on his list of preferred activities, a trip to a shopping center in Manehatten sparks up a relationship between Inkbrand and Cherry Bloom over a mutual interest in pet care, though it ends as quickly as it begins.

A Bright New City // A visit to the city of Baltimare during his vacation allows Inkbrand to meet some new ponies, for better or for worse. Definitely worse.

A Budding Friendship // Out of the blue, Inkbrand accepts an invitation to Canterlot by JavaSun in an overture of friendship, and walks away with a lasting grudge against the brown stallion.

The Arctic in Spring // After the disaster of Winter Wrap-Up, Inkbrand's good friend August pays a visit, though the both of them soon find the last remnants of Winter waiting for help.

Notions about Potions // When Wicked Rhythm pulls a classic Poison Joke prank on Inkbrand, he has no choice but to attempt to locate Zecora, the only one he knows for sure can break the spell.

Snake Oil // Inkbrand has never been a pony for myths and legends, but he can't help but be intrigued by a smooth talking salespony with intriguing wares galore.

Winter Wrap-Up: Animal Team // When a freak blizzard traps countless ponies and animals during the end of Winter Wrap-Up, Inkbrand makes a few friends and a few enemies, and maybe something else besides.

Nocturne, Wisp, Turnip

Unicorn

Young Stallion

Canterlot

General Information:

● Travels all over Equestria, tracking down and studying magical anomalies. He is the head of his own research lab, which only consists of himself at the moment.

● Shares an apartment in Canterlot with Dazzle Dawn, his roommate.

● Is relatively well-known in the research community of Canterlot thanks to several published papers and articles. Nocturne is also frequently seen in and around organizations focused on magic and the art of spell casting.

Strengths:

● Magic and spell usage, one of the few things Nocturne Wisp readily and openly takes pride in. Nocturne has mastered a few frequently used spells, and is relatively quick to learn and copy unknown spells or magic. His own brand of unique magic, involving the summoning and controlling of wisp-like flames, comes naturally and instinctively to him.

● Ambitious and driven when he sets his mind to something, allowing him to constantly chase after it until he succeeds. Though he might distinguish between importance and trivialness, Nocturne will set his sights high and persevere until he is satisfied.

● Exceptional organization and data collecting skills, necessary for his research.

Weaknesses:

● Personality, one that makes it difficult for Nocturne to express his feelings properly, often causing trouble and hurt feelings for both himself and others. He finds it very off-putting to expose his feelings, and tends to cover up even small acts of kindness or affection as trite and dismissive.

● Very hot weather, to the point that Nocturne tends to avoid desert and even some tropical areas, unless a research point gives him no choice but to go.

Likes:

● Peace and quiet
● Practicality
● Researching, especially anything magic-based
● Papayas, an exotic fruit
● Reading
● Calm and intelligent ponies

Disikes:

● General loudness and rowdiness
● Impracticality or irrationalness
● Being disturbed
● Excitable or hyper ponies
● Most sweets and deserts
● Hot or muggy weather

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Pocket Change // Good Friend. Nocturne has known Pocket Change for as long as he can remember, and despite their very dissimilar personalities, he considers the white unicorn to be a true friend, to the point where he can comfortably admit to him being so. Pocket's ability to shrug off Nocturne's brooding, and often abrasive, personality has allowed him to worm his way into his heart, and he is one of the few ponies that triggers some possessive instincts in Nocturne.

Moondancer // Foalhood Friend. Met during their years at Celestia's School for Gift Unicorns, Nocturne developed a bit of a crush on the white unicorn for a while. Recent events, however, made Nocturne realize how much he had filtered reality with memory, resulting in an end to the infatuation that had plagued him during school. He still considers the Unicorn a dear friend however, and can sometimes amusedly be caught between possessiveness over Moondancer, and possessiveness over Pocket Change.

Dazzle Dawn // Canterlot Roommate. To say Nocturne was displeased at his roommate the first time they met would be an understatement, though Dazzle Dawn's seeming resistance to his abrasive personality quickly changed that. Despite himself, Nocturne soon began to warm up to the affable mare, and now only gets mildly annoyed whenever she interrupts his studying or research. Though he will admit it to nopony, Nocturne finds himself rather perplexed with his roommate, and often has to figure out if he wishes she would leave him alone, or wishes she would stop hugging every Equestrian cursed stallion in sight.

Flaxen Feather // Acquaintance. Met during a competition hosted by Elderflower, Nocturne was quick to get annoyed with the bumbling Pegasus who bumped into him. Flaxen's apology and seemingly witless manner, however, endeared themselves to Nocturne against all common sense. The yellow Pegasus reminds him of Dazzle, and he finds himself hard pressed to outright dislike a pony with such a hapless smile.

Elderflower // Acquaintance. Magic in all shapes and forms has always interested Nocturne, and after a particularly tricky bit of magic during a Spellbound practice session, his interest quickly turned onto the unicorn responsible. Elderflower is calm, quiet, and polite, all things that Nocturne enjoys in a stranger turned acquaintance. Though his interest in the unicorn is mainly academic at the moment, Elderflower's gentle personality is soothing to Nocturne, making her more than tolerable to be around.

Current Roleplays:

Past Roleplays:

Hearth's Warming Gala (Spellbound) // Despite his lukewarm reception to the Open House, Nocturne continues to play nice with fellow guild mates as he attends Spellbound's Hearth's Warming Gala, complete with duplicate gifts and screaming Changelings.

100 Country Kisses // Sales gimmick or not, a chance to buy quality apples at a lowered price urges Nocturne to grab a bushel before they all run out, though that chance had disappointing results.

Spellbound Open House Extravaganza // With some urging from his friend and co-founder of the Guild, Nocturne Wisp decides it's time to expand his knowledge amongst some peers at the new Spellbound Guild Hall.

Magic Practice (Spellbound) // Always on the lookout for magics that can aid in his research, Nocturne joins fellow Spellbound members for a magical practice session in Canterlot.

Penultimate Paradise (Stalled) // Needing a break from never-ending research and academics, Nocturne Wisp takes up an offer for an all-expenses paid vacation to Penultimate Paradise, a luxury resort that may not be exactly what it seems.

Spring Celebrations at the Elder Tree Teahouse! // With fabulous and useful prizes just waiting to be won by any willing participant, Nocturne Wisp heads over to the Elder Tree Teahouse, determined to walk away with an enchanted cutlass.

Camping in the Everfree Forest // Spending time in the Everfree Forest has always been a pastime of Nocturne's, and doing so with his good friend Pocket Change makes it all the more better, despite the seemingly ridiculous pretense that has placed them there.

Xiphos, Dusk, Phos

Areion

Young Stallion

Trottingham

General Information:

● Operates under the alias of "The White Fox", known for targeting the wealth and prestigious. Few know how to get in contact with The White Fox, but he still accepts contracts to procure sensitive items, documents, and information for ponies with enough money.

● Has a small and unassuming residence in Trottingham, but travels quite frequently all over Equestria, picking up whatever strikes his fancy.

● Xiphos is quite wealthy, his illicit business practices having turned quite profitable during his years.

Strengths:

● Stealth, in nearly all aspects of the word. Xiphos is skilled enough to not only slip through the dead of night undetected, but mingle in the middle of a noble party as if he fully belongs there. He is, for all intents and purposes, an accomplished illusionist as much as he is a sneaky "in-the-shadows" thief.

● Charisma, strong enough to influence even the most wary of individuals. Xiphos knows how to play whatever part may be required of him to get what he wants, whether it is a suave and knowledgable noble pony or a drunkard making a ruckus in the middle of the night.

● Agility, with a fine mastery over his wings and body that allows him to sweep through dense forests without a second thought.

Weaknesses:

● Curiosity, and a rather sizable one too. Xiphos likes to know what's going on, who is involved, where the fun is - almost everything, despite few things riveting his attention past the initial impression. It doesn't matter to him whether the knowledge is actually worth the risk, but the chance to satiate his curiosity definitely is.

● Strength, in a drawn out match. Xiphos can hold his own in a hoof-to-hoof match for a while, but up close combat against another pony will almost always have him rapidly deleting his energy.

Likes:

● Finding something curious
● Taking things that don't belong to him
● Nighttime
● Most types of nuts
● Interesting baubles and trinkets
● Flying through unsafe weather

Disikes:

● Boredom in all forms
● Lettuce, and other 'common' foods
● Petty requests for the White Fox's skills
● Boring and predictable ponies
● Being ignored
● Small and sleep towns

Special Somepony:

● Meadowhawk (one-sided), N/A

Relationships:

Meadowhawk // Ex-Marefriend. Xiphos has known Meadowhawk for a long time, back when the Pegasus was a wilder and younger spirit looking for adventure and excitement. The two entered into a rather casual relationship that was more beneficial than romantic, a relationship that ended when Meadowhawk joined the Wonderbolts. The breakup was amiable enough, especially as Xiphos never really stopped viewing Meadowhawk as his. The Areion still keeps tabs on the Pegasus and sometimes stalks her around Equstria, with all the casualness of a languid pony checking up a favored pet from time to time.

Wish Bone // Acquaintance, Target. No matter how the Unicorn may view him, Xiphos looks favorably upon Wish Bone, considering her unique brand of magic that apparently allows her to grant "wishes". It took no time at all for the Aerion to break into her office and attempt to coerce an impossible wish from the Unicorn, but despite his failing, Wish Bone has yet to fall off his radar. Only time will tell if his continued interests will amount to anything at all.

"Pale Ale" // Enemy, Acquaintance. A mysterious Pegasus who hired The White Fox in order to eliminate some competition, Xiphos was eventually able to figure out the conpony was being conned, and nearly paid for it. While on one hoof the Aerion despises the Pegasus that almost tricked him into a jail cell, he still can't help be intrigued and curious over the other stallion's clever mechanisms. At the present, he still has no idea who Pale Ale truly is, but he intends to find out.

Past Roleplays:

Star, Shimmer, Litti

Unicorn

Young Mare

Stalliongrad

General Information:

● Heiress to a very large family fortune and business. Maintains no official and regular job, but has begun dabbling in her family's business of investing in and owning companies.

● Lives mostly in her penthouse in the Ostrov District of Stalliongrad, though her family owns vacation homes in several other cities.

● Has free reign over her parents' money, and spends it however she pleases.

Strengths:

● Observant, with is near required in her family work. Shimmer is very good at picking up subtle cues and calling cards where other ponies would pass over them, allowing her to be quite manipulative if needed.

● Social Standing, a needed fixture in her day-to-day no matter how anypony turns it. With both her family name backing her and her own prominence amongst Stalliongrad's elite, Shimmer is known as an heiress living in the highest social circle available to somepony her age, and she has no problem making good use of it.

● Intelligence, stemming from being around ponies with fierce and intellectual minds all her life. If she applied herself, Shimmer could do very well in the academics and scholarly pursuits. As it stands, she is much more interested in shopping for the newest fashions than applying her brain, but her intelligence at least helps her keep a cool head amidst the competition.

Weaknesses:

● Ambition, or a lack thereof. Though Shimmer fully expects to be incorporated into the family business, she is aiming for later rather than sooner. She is perfectly content wasting her days away in the shopping district, meeting up with friends for lunch dates and getting the latest gossip than attaining anything with her own two hooves.

● Sincerity, both from herself and others. Raised to expect the worst from everypony - or at least the most calculating - Shimmer has great difficult accepting the sincerity and genuine feelings of other ponies. This leads her to often write off other ponies feelings, and her own, as trivial or insincere, which in turn often leaves her friends and loved ones smarting from her uncaring rebuff.

Likes:

● Shopping
● Staying up-to-date
● Being fabulously wealthy
● Handsome, clean-shaven stallions
● Treating her friends
● Nearly all forms of fruit
● Custom made shampoo and conditioner

Disikes:

● Getting dirty
● Nearly all forms of vegetables
● Being out of the loop
● Competition
● Manual labor of all types
● Rugged, messy-looking stallions

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Snowfall // Foalhood Friend and Business Rival. Within Stalliongrad's high elite, there were only so many friends a foal could make, and Snowfall was one of them. She and Shimmer got along well when they were young, and grew up alongside each other into their own business ventures. Now, they sometimes clash heads over the newest company or investment opportunities, but Shimmer still sees Snowfall as a challenge to herself, rather than competition to be snuffed out.

Sunrise Skies // Acquaintance and Clothing Designer. First introduced through their mutual friend of Snowfall, Shimmer became suitably impressed with Sunrise's clothing designs, enough to begin ordering her own custom-made outfits. Though she doesn't know the other Unicorn all that well, Shimmer remains on friendly terms with her, ready to place an order as trends fade in and out of fashion.

Yuri, Ri-Ri

Eastern Dragon

Younger Teenager

Amani

General Information:

● Doesn't know too much about her own culture, as she was brought over to Unyasi when she was very young.

● Travels around mostly Equestria, trying to learn about ponies in general.

● Has a particular fondness for opals, and rare magical plants.

● Tends to confuse slang or modernize phrases, and sometimes speaks in broken or incomplete Common.

Strengths:

● Wind Magic, the only type of magic she has any conscious control over. Yuri is able to manipulate air and wind rather than fire like most other dragons, which in turn make her very agile and fast. She is able to outfly and out maneuver most dragons her age because of her skills with wind magic, and also thanks to her body's naturally lithe and elongated body.

● Agility, a natural byproduct of the way her body moves and turns. Thanks to her lack of wings and the way her body moves, Yuri is extremely talented in moving through enclosed spaces at high velocity. This allows her to navigate through dense forests or heavily populated areas with little to no trouble.

Weaknesses:

● Naivety, on a very basic level. Because of her sheltered upbringing, Yuri lacks basic knowledge that most ponies gain throughout their lives. She can easily be taken advantage of simply because she doesn't understand how the world works sometimes.

● Hoards, especially those that are tailored to her taste. As with nearly all dragons, Yuri covets hoards and the collection of items of interest. Though she has no hoard of her own as of yet, she is subconsciously always on the lookout for things to add to her collection, and her dragon's hoard can easily become a weak point for her future plans.

Likes:

● Rare and magical plants
● Friendly and cheerful beings
● Sweets that aren't too sweet
● Dumplings of nearly all forms
● Opals, especially black ones
● Flying for fun

Disikes:

● Mean or unfriendly beings
● Overly sweet desserts
● Large cities with little to no natural vegetation
● Not having something she really wants
● Walking on the ground
● Being alone for prolonged periods of time

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Huscarl // Acquaintance Friend. A dragon that Yuri met on her way to Canterlot, Huscarl was an amiable and friendly presence to the otherwise out-of-her-league Eastern Dragon. She even spent some time in his liar, a fact that filled Yuri with no end of glee, and it won't be long before she goes out seeking her first Equestrian friend for more jewel-filled times.

Aranak // Acquaintance Friend. The other dragon that Yuri flew into on her first journey in Equestria, Aranak seemed less receptive and genial than Huscarl. Still, Yuri was glad to meet another dragon, and considers him to be another one of her friends.

Rivulet // Friend. It was entirely by pure luck that Yuri managed to literally fly across the path of another eastern dragon - but fly she did, and she's been grateful ever since. Rivulet shares her fascination with ponykind, which in turn makes Yuri feel less foolish whenever she babbles about the wonders of Equestrian citizens. The two formed a camaraderie during their travels across the land, and it is a camaraderie that Yuri hopes will last a long time to come.

Prince Blueblood // Shiny Pony Friend. The first pony she and Rivulet came across during their tour to meet Equestrian ponies, Yuri developed an instant admiration and fascination for the stallion's bright and pristine coloring. Though a blunder on her part might have ruined their relationship, the Prince was generous in forgiving her, a fact Yuri has not forgotten. Now, she considers the white pony to be her friend, and it probably won't be that long before she's flying back to his tower to take him along for another ride.

Imperial Vanguard
XXXImperial VanguardXXX

N/A

Changeling

Young Stallion

N/A

General Information:

● Unofficially works as a vanguard and scout for Queen Chrysalis, though should he make any aggressive move towards Equestria, any relation to the Changeling kingdom will probably be disavowed.

● Has no real home base, and instead travels from city to city.

● His left wing sustains an old injury that can flare up from time to time, causing sudden and abrupt collapses, sometimes mid-flight.

Strengths:

● Adaptation, in near all senses of the word. A survivalist at heart, Heartless can forgo traditional nourishment to sustain himself solely on the emotion of Love, and in fact prefers a pure diet over an augmented one. He is also extremely quick to observe and rectify any behaviors of his to better fit in with whatever society, town, or community he has integrated himself to, though he rarely does so, in order to maintain his disguise.

● Acting, by simple observation. Heartless is a master of twisting words and actions to cause another pony to see him in a certain light, especially considering his lack of ability to experience certain emotions for himself. He may not, for example, understand why stealing is wrong, but he knows why other ponies consider it wrong, and thus adapts his persona to reflect this.

● Transformation, specifically, the illusion Changelings cast when they disguise themselves. Heartless has spent years perfecting this art, and has mastered the skill with the upmost precision. He is able to disguise himself in the literal blink of an eye, and with only a bare hint of the telltale, toxic green wisp that encompasses Changelings when they use this skill. Heartless is so adept that he can change disguises right in the middle of a crowd, without anypony being any the wiser.

Weaknesses:

● Emotions, specifically, the lack of them. While the concept of emotions is something Heartless comprehends, emotions themselves are something that the Changeling is physically incapable of understanding. Most emotions he genuinely feels are primal and animalistic, basic necessities - anger, greed, even disquiet. Others still are just lessons read from a text book for him, and this emotional vulnerability isolates him.

● Loyalty, a trait that has stunted his growth into a stallion of his own. Heartless believes fully in the Changeling Empire and his High Queen Chrysalis, as he has since birth, and nopony can make him believe otherwise. He will follow Queen and Hive to death without ever questioning the why, simply because he knows nothing else.

Likes:

● Insects of any sort
● Clovers, the only tangible food that he actually enjoys
● Equestrian values and morals - specially, their own beliefs in them
● Kissing anypony that isn't a Changeling
● Queen Chrysalis

Disikes:

● Kissing other Changelings
● Tangible food items
● Music, but especially singing
● Traitor Changelings who have turned against the Empire
● Having to switch disguises too often

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Flux // Acquaintance, Army Buddy. A Changeling from Chrysalis' hive, Heartless can only assume he grew up alongside the similarity aged Changeling, though he doesn't remember meeting her until they both became part of the military forces. They got along well enough until the failed invasion of Canterlot, after which Heartless never saw her again. He can only assume that Flux, like several other Changelings during that tremulous time, turned traitor against their Queen, and Heartless knows that if he is ever proven true, he will give her exactly what a traitor deserves.

Kahz // Rival. Stemming from their days as insignificant workers in the Hive, Heartless was quick to disapprove of Kahz's ideas of reform, a feeling that seems mutual and reversed by the other Changeling as well. Though Heartless knows, logically, that Kahz is seeking better methods outside of brunt force invasions, the Changeling's talks of reform sound dangerously close to a disestablishment of Changeling ways and traditions and an integration into Equestrian society. Despite the careful and controlled masks Heartless wears every day, he cannot help but keep a close watch whenever the two Changelings are together, waiting for the slightest sign of weakness to exploit.

Naj // Target. It is highly unusual for a Changeling to openly declare their status in Equestria, for good reason, and while Heartless might commend Naj for her bravery, any admiration he might feel is completely overridden by her existence as a traitor. With her admission of turning against Queen Chrysalis and wanting to live amongst ponies, Naj has clearly outlined her loyalties, which in turn are more than enough to paint a bulls-eye on her back. So far, Heartless has kept the information to himself, but there is no question if he will ever act upon it - the question is simply when.

Arc, Fable

Unicorn

Young Stallion

Kastrot

General Information:

● First born son of House Ea'thr, one of the noble houses of Kastrot.

● As per family tradition, he has a strong background in spell invention and application. Individually, Arc has turned his attentions to the study and discovery of historical facts and legends.

● Currently resides in Unyasi and lives among one of the many Zebra tribes to inhabit the land. Thanks to a delivery systems via dragon portals, Arc has nearly unlimited access to his family's wealth, and has amassed quite a bit on his own as well.

Strengths:

● Knowledge, often obtained for knowledge's sake. Though he focuses on the history and lore surrounding areas of magic and locations, Arc is still a scholar at heart, and his interest can be gotten simply by observing something new and unknown to him.

● Focus, a trait needed in his line of work. Despite being a physically active pony, Arc can sit down and study for hours on end, reading tome after text after scroll with hardly a break. Thought at times he can become a little stir-crazy, his ability to set his mind onto a given task allows Arc to fully concentrate and perceive whatever it is he has set as his current goal.

● Physicality, a rather surprising component to a Unicorn so devoted to his studies. Arc keeps himself physical fit by participating in all sorts of activities, and as such has developed a body that is stronger than the average Unicorn.

Weaknesses:

● Magic, at least past the theoretical stage. While he is apt with levitation and basic spells, Arc's affinity for magical use ends there. His strengths lay more with the theoretical invention and application of magic, tests and studies of their affects, rather than the actual casting of powerful spells.

● Sensitivity, in part because of his open nature. Arc never means any real harm, but his tendency to state things bluntly and without any sugar coating can sometimes have a detrimental affect on whatever pony he is conversing with. The Unicorn can be inconsiderate without meaning to - and even sometimes, with all full intention.

Likes:

● Finding ancient and historical texts
● Most alcohols
● Letting loose and relaxing
● Inventing new spells and magics
● Exotic fruits
● Ruins and other archeological sites

Disikes:

● Dead ends
● Being cooped up for too long
● Dissenters of pony nobility
● Mistreated historical texts
● Boredom
● Exploring marshlands

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Steam Metal // Ex-marefriend. During his brief stop in Baltimore before he headed off to Unyasi, Arc hooked up with a brown Earth Pony while he was making preparations for his trip, a casual fling that resulted in nothing more but a friendly kiss goodbye after they parted. Arc honestly has no plans to ever meet up with her again, but seeing how they parted on amiable terms, any subsequent meetings between the two of them would most likely be just as agreeable as their parting had been.

CT, Treble, Rhapsy

Unicorn

Young Mare

Canterlot

General Information:

● Born and raised in Canterlot, though she is currently living on her own in a small apartment. She doesn't get to travel much.

● She is paid per performance whenever she sings at bars and clubs, which is enough to sustain her living but can result in some lean months.

● Desperately hopes to be discovered soon, and maintains her singing voice by practicing the very basics of music every day.

Strengths:

● Charisma, a requirement for anypony hoping to hit the big stage. CT knows how to command attention and grab hold of a room, while rarely going overboard or getting show-boaty. She likes having eyes on her and milks a situation for all its worth, and she never balks at a new situation, taking everything in with laughter and good cheer.

● Musicality, most especially her singing voice. Thanks to the bits her parents sacrificed during her foalhood, CT was able to take singing lessons early, and attain strong basics in her approach to music. She sings with her full voice, not the wispy falsetto that most amateur singers use, and she uses breathing exercises to further strengthen her vocal chords.

● Persistent, especially given her frustration over not yet being discovered. Despite her discontentment at having to sing in random clubs to pay her bills, CT maintains a positive outlook on her life that drives her to try each and every avenue. She never turns down a job, for it may lead to an agency or contract, and she continues working towards her dream of stardom.

Weaknesses:

● Self-image, still a necessity for anypony in the spotlight, but one that can become crippling if over-indulged. CT is hyper aware of what is "hip and now", and what other ponies think of her. Though she is hardly cruel in a deliberate sense, she is the type of pony to shy away from certain stereotypes in fear of harming her own social standing. CT is constantly staying on top of the trends and mainstream - both because she enjoys it herself, and because she never wants to fall in with an unpopular lot.

● Writing, an unfortunate lack of skill for her line of work. Though A-list celebrities and singers can have their songs written for them, an up and rising star doesn't have that luxury, meaning that CT has to work overtime attempting to come up with decent lyrics to go with her music. Her tunes, while catchy, are usually lined with conventional and traditional words that can be found in near any other pop music.

Likes:

● Celebrity life
● Music, pop in particular
● Upbeat and catchy tunes
● Singing
● Belonging in the "in" crowd
● Mainstream trends, fashions, and ideas

Disikes:

● Having to work odd jobs
● Ponies that disregard self-image
● Unpopular or "out" crowds
● Medium to large animals
● Boring, steady tunes
● Pauses in her social life

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

JavaSun // Estranged Friend, Crush. Poor grades led CT to seek out a tutor during her university years, which is how she met and started forming a friendship with JavaSun. She found his quirky mannerisms and tangents strangely charming, to point where she developed something of a crush on the stallion. Unfortunately, her lot with the popular crowds had CT fearful of dating a veritable 'nerd', and thus she never pursued anything. She stills thinks about him from time to time as she goes about her daily life, though she doesn't expect to ever see him again.

Witchweed Charm // Foalhood friend, roommate. CT has known Witchweed since foalhood, an obvious conclusion to their two families living next door to one another. She is very fond of the green mare and adores her strange mannerisms and quirky behavior, but new understanding of social status as she grew up resulted in the pink mare keeping her friendship with Witchweed under wraps, treating the green Earth Pony as 'just some filly' when questioned about her. Now adults, CT and Witchweed are still friends and room together in Canterlot, but CT has yet to let go of her image. Witchweed is her 'inside friend', one she keeps separated from the in crowd she otherwise hands out with.

Sky Sailing // Acquaintance, Hopeful Business Partner. Though she doesn't know the Pegasus personally, CT first began hearing about him through agencies and by the records he put out into the media. Despite not being high profile, the fact that Sky Sailing has managed to put together his own recording studio immediately piqued CT's interest, causing her to get in contact with him. He seemed amiable to having her drop by at some point, a fact that CT will be quick to capitalize on when the time is right.

Ori

Chamrosh

Pup

The Tarpans

General Information:

● Raised in a traditional Chamrosh pack in the wild, which currently resides in the Tarpan mountain range. Ori's family travels however, mostly into griffon cities within Aquelia, and sometimes beyond into Equestria.

● Does not socialize much with others. He does know how to interact with adults, but struggles interacting with others his age.

● Is content to remain within the wild, but holds some fascination for pony and griffon made constructs and buildings.

Strengths:

● Tracking, with great instincts for his age. Though still young, Ori shows all the signs of becoming an excellent tracker as he grows up. He shows talent for following scents through difficult terrain, such as snow and bog, and his keen senses allow him to take note of environmental signs of passage fairly well.

● Maturity, mostly stemming from a lack of the foalish play he has grown up without. As he never had other pups to play with, Ori found contentment interacting with adults, which molded him with a maturity that is not common for someone his age. Ori usually has a better understanding of things that other pups do not, and can respond accordingly.

Weaknesses:

● Sociability, and almost exclusively with younger ponies and griffons around his age. With adults, Ori is a serious, mild-mannered, and polite young Chamrosh - with other foals and pups, he can become a number of things, most of them very confused and awkward. Because of the lack of acclimation with young pups and foals while he was growing up, Ori never learned how to interact with them, which can lead to some very awkward, fumbling, and bewildered actions on his part.

● Physical strength, an oddity among his kind. Even taking into account his young age, Ori is weaker than the average Chamrosh, most likely because he never rough-housed and played with other Chamrosh pups. He makes up for it with keen reflexes and agility, more akin to a cat than a dog.

Likes:

● Open plains and fields
● Simplistic and organic meals
● Gliding from tall structures
● Scorpion meat
● Playing with earthen textures, such as sand and mud
● Non-natural architecture

Disikes:

● Complex and 'trussed up' meals

● Having to sit out dangerous hunts
● Harvesting water from cacti
● Feeling awkward around other his age
● Rodent meat

Lani

Earth Pony

Young Mare

Gallopocus Islands

General Information:

● Born and raised Gallopocus native who recently took time off work to vacation and travel around Equestria. She has a fairly noticeable accent and often uses Gallopocus slang in her everyday conversation.

● She is a performer of traditional hula dancing, and has participated in several performances. Lani is also a fairly skilled fire dancer, but has never performed a fire dance for an audience before.

● Lani always keeps a small bundle of melia flowers on her self, usually tucked above one ear. She got her current batch enchanted by a Unicorn to greatly increase their longevity, holding off their wilting for a long while.

Strengths:

● Mellow, a trait that makes Lani near impervious to stress and anxiety. With her 'go-with-the-flow' nature, the Earth Pony is almost constantly relaxed, and becomes hardly stressed out when things go wrong or fall apart. Even the most troublesome things that would have other ponies grinding their teeth, such as losing their train ticket or getting locked out of their apartment, are things Lani can shrug off with a "what can you do" attitude. This nonchalant attitude keeps Lani relaxed and happy through her life, free from worries.

● Naturalism, a given through her job as a nature tourist guide for Thunderhooves Island. Lani is knowledge about the flora and fauna of her home, almost to a scientific extent. Her knowledge doesn't completely extend to the less tropical plants on Equestrian soil, but she is wise enough about nature to probably spend a few nights outdoors if need be.

Weaknesses:

● Laziness, though Lani doesn't really see it as a problem herself. Unlike her parents, the Earth Pony is not a hard worker, preferring to do only the minimum before retreating to relax on the beach. She is the type to give up after only trying once or twice, and rarely has any ambitions to pursue things outside of her direct experiences and plans. Secure in the comfort of her tropical paradise, Lani has yet to find reason to always do the absolute best, content with being merely adequate.

● Danger, a somewhat startling trait for a sweet looking mare. Though not a particularly or inherently violent pony herself, there is no doubt that the Earth Pony showcases some rough tendencies when chaos or violence spring up around her. She practices fire dancing because she enjoys both the beauty and danger of it, the same way she can dive off a cliff face with hardly a second look. Calling her a daredevil would be a stretch, but it is clear that Lani is not one to solve situations with a peaceful or careful word.

Likes:

● Tropical fruits and vegetables.
● Any and all beaches
● Relaxing at any time possible
● Taking mid-afternoon naps, usually in a hammock
● Rough and rugged looking stallions
● Moving at her own pace

Disikes:

● Dry or arid environments with little vegetation
● Cold weather, and the winter season
● Foods that don't have enough seasoning
● Clean cut stallions
● Being rushed
● Having to work exceptionally hard

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Tide Breaker // Roommate, friend. After landing in Bridleback Shores, Lani attempted to plan out her living accommodations on her country-wide tour of Equestria. Before she could shell out her precious bits for room and board however, she managed to run into Tide Breaker. The two instantly hit it off, sharing common interests in the sea and the beach, amongst other things, and it eventually led to an offer from the Pegasus for Lani to live with her. The Earth Pony readily accepted, and uses Tide Breaker's shack as a 'base of operations' for all her traveling needs. Lani considers the orange Pegasus a friend, and is always ready with a pineapple drink and a strung up hammock for the two of them to sit back and relax.

Dawn, Dawny

Pegasus

Young Stallion

Canterlot

General Information:

● Dawnguard is a a recruit in the Royal Equestrian Army, having just recently been promoted to Private First Class. Becoming a decorated and high-ranking REA member has been his dream ever since he received his cutie mark.

● Has a very black and white view of morality, and a passion for bring order to chaos and the wicked to justice. This passion manifests itself in dramatic and theatrical speeches, often making it sound as if Dawnguard is reading off a script from a play rather than conversing with someone else.

● He is currently stationed in Canterlot for training, but is liable to be deployed at any outpost his superiors feel is necessary.

Strengths:

● Endurance flyer, able to fly long distances and in inclement weather. While his speed is faster than average thanks to his REA training, Dawngaurd shines in long-distance missions that call for a steady flight path for long periods of time. He also fares very well when he needs to fly through poor weather conditions, whether rain, snow, even hail and sleet. His strong wings also help him withstand gale winds and vacuums for a period of time.

● Passion, for everything that's good and right in Equestria. No matter what theatrics Dawnguard feels compelled to layer on top of himself, there is no mistaken the genuine want within the stallion to protect Equestria and see the country into a better future. Dawnguard's love for justice and righting wrongs is what drives him to train as hard as he does, to both catch up to his father and keep Equestria as the wonderful land it is.

Weaknesses:

● Precision flight, something that the Pegasus is currently trying to shore up. Though he is fast and able to fly for long distances, Dawnguard lacks control over his movements, resulting in awkward and clumsy mid-flight maneuvers when moving quickly. He has trouble executing pin-point turns and abrupt angle changes, meaning that he suffers maneuvering in tight or close quarters (such as large cities). His training had gotten him a bit better since he left home, but Dawnguard is still a very long ways away from performing aerial stunts worth of the Wonderbolts.

● Legacy, specifically his attempts to not only live-up to but also surpass his father. Overall, there haven't been too many remarks about Dawngaurd's father towards him, his drill sergeants unbiasedly training him as any other recruit. There have been a few references from other bunks mates and recruits, however - none malicious, but all expecting and anticipating the same greatness. Dawnguard doesn't think much on it, but when he does, the reality of his father's accomplishments can weigh him down, until he forces himself to let it go and bring more evil-doers to justice.

Likes:

● The Forces of Good
● Clear skies and blinding sun
● Other Justice-driven ponies
● Cucumber and mulberry sandwiches
● Training, and other physical activities
● New vocabulary

Disikes:

● The Powers of Evil
● Ponies who ignore the eternal battle of good and evil
● Being told to "speak normally"
● Expectations because of his father's accomplishments
● Exotic plants and fruits
● Murky or cloudy weather

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

General Pummel // Estranged Father. Up until the Changeling invasion, Dawnguard held a bitter resentment towards his father over the stallion's continued distance from his family. It was only after the invasion when he realized how important his father's job actually was, prompting him to follow in his hoof steps. As much as he admires and respects the older stallion however, the two are not close at all, leaving a superior officer and a recruit where there should be a father and son.

Kingsley // Mother. Given that Kingsley is unlike most other mares, especially in a city like Stalliongrad, Dawnguard grew up under the care of a one-of-a-kind mother. Without a father figure, Dawnguard become close to his mother as he was growing up, and it shows. Despite having been away from home for a good while, Dawnguard still prefers his mother's cooking above all others, and occasionally sends her letters to keep her knowledgable about his whereabouts and well-being.

Earth Writer // Cousin. If Dawnguard could be considered an extreme idealist, his cousin Earth Writer would be the extreme realist. Though their relationship is generally friendly and amiable, it is obvious that the two stallions clash on topics of morality, expectations of the future, and the general day-to-day function of Equestrian citizens.

Star Crusader // Fellow Avenger of Righteous Justice. Dawnguard hasn't had too many encounters with his fellow REA member, but the first was enough to recognize a kindred spirit of Fated Righteousness. Star Crusader shares many of the same values as Dawnguard does, seeking out justice and housing a strong desire to bring evil-doers to a halt. The two seem to get along fairly well, and Dawnguard is banking on the two of them being the first low-ranking officers to drag in a WRAITH member.

Darkness Knight // Friendly Acquaintance. Dawnguard met Darkness, a member of the Lunar Guard, on his way into the city to grab a bite to eat, and was intrigued by the other Pegasus' training techniques. The two ended up sharing a nice meal together, and Dawnguard considers the grey Pegasus a fellow warrior with a particular talent for the shield. The two have only met once, but Dawnguard is certain he'll be running into his grey feathered companion soon enough.

Chipper Demise // Fated Foe. Met at an after gala party, Dawnguard immediately recognized the skull wearing, feather toting foul necromancer for what he was - though, that didn't stop the two of them from hanging out and enjoy frozen snow cones together. Still, Dawnguard is assured of the other male's destiny as his sworn nemesis, and has valiantly sworn to strike down Chipper should he refuse to turn from his evil ways. He only hopes the Unicorn will have the whole "Eternal Rival" thing down by then.

Derpy Hooves // Acquaintance, former Fair Maid In Distress. A rather turbulent affair, consisting of gale force winds and avians in peril, constituted Dawnguard's first meeting with the grey Pegasus. Luckily for the both of them, the calamity ended shortly thereafter, and he was rewarded with a kiss for his heroic efforts. The two have yet to really interact with one another, and only time will tell if Dawnguard will have a chance to unleash his Righteous Fury in defense of the bubbly Pegasus again.

Nemy, Daa

Abada

Young Stallion

The Brakenweald

General Information:

● Grew up in a small and secluded herd of Abada that practiced isolation from civilization. He began interacting with other species, most notably Zebra, in his later colt years, and is now able to become fully integrated even though he continues practicing isolation.

● Lives with his sister, the only blood relative he has in the area. Their parents are currently south of the Brakenweald in Amani, living out their elder years in peace and serenity.

● Despite preferring to live off the land in wild jungles, Daahir still interacts with local Zebra tribes, mainly to barter for goods and services that make his and his sister's lives a bit easier out in The Brakenweald.

Strengths:

● Nature magic, the only type of magic Daahir has any control over. His magic is more subtle than that of a Unicorn's, working more towards enhancing and manipulating the natural world than actively going against it. Daahir cannot levitate objects or make something appear out of thin air, but he can bend tree branches without hurting them and make crops and fruits grow faster. The Abada's skills with nature have made his and his sister's lives much easier in the jungle, and he hopes that learning from the Unicorns will increase that skill further.

● Purification, an offshoot of his nature magic and Daahir's special talent. The Abada is able to purify substances and solutions of impurities, so long as they are naturally made - he would not be able to remove the impurities from a sword molded in the forge, for example, but can easily rid a poisoned pond of its illness. The size and scope of the substance or solution he's attempting to purify can have drastic results on his success, but for the most part, his special talent has come in handy, particularly in keeping up with fresh water supplies.

● Survivalist, a given considering his heritage. Daahir grew up in an Abada herd that kept itself removed from civilization, more out of tradition and familiarity than any real want to remain separated. He learned from a very early age how to survive off the wild in any and all seasons, and continues utilizing those skills in his adult life. The wild and dangerous beasts of the Brakenweald have posed no trouble for Daahir and his sister, thanks to the lessons and teachings that were passed down to him from his parents.

Weaknesses:

● Paranoia, a facet of Daahir's personality that has been ingrained in the young Abada as much as his survival skills. Daahir's herd passed down stories of terrible things that would happen to Abada who wandered off into other civilizations and met other species, and while it may have simply been a scaring mechanism to keep the herd together and isolated, those stories have done their part. Even as Daahir becomes more integrated into the modern world, those same foalhood stories linger about his head, causing him to mistrust anything that he might deem a threat. He is often aptly described as a buzzkill, preferring safety and caution over letting loose over having fun.

● Modernization, unsurprising given his background. While the Zebra tribes around the Brakenweald live relatively modestly, they are a far cry from the bustling cities in Equestria. Daahir has lived all his life within and about nature, and having an entirely new world suddenly open up to him is very disorientating. It is clear that any ventures into Equestria and beyond will leave the Abada very much out of his element, a fact that might have the paranoid young stallion crawling back into the safe jungles of the Brakenweald.

Likes:

● Wild nuts and berries
● The sound of falling rain
● His sister being nearby and within sight
● Most Zebras
● Thinking deeply about the world around him
● Cool and comfortable weather

Disikes:

● Heavily seasoned foods
● Most species
● Storms, and other inclement weather
● Too much noise or commotion around
● His sister running off on her own
● Being out of his league

Mei

Qilin

Young Mare

Garden Gait

General Information:

● Was born and spent her foalhood to the far east of Equestria, in a small village that made a living off of rice paddy fields. Moved with her family to Equestria during her adolescent years, to live with a nomadic herd of deer in Whitetail Woods.

● Owns her own aromatherapy practice that is mostly mobile in nature, though she keeps a relatively expansive greenhouse in Garden Gait. Mei usually keeps a few plants on her at all times however, to brew or set aflame when needed.

● She currently travels Equestria looking to expand her greenhouse with more exotic, potent, or rare flowers that can be used in her aromatherapy practice.

Strengths:

● Breath magic, an ability attained from the draconic heritage her species received once upon a time. Mei's breath-wielding abilities are fairly skilled for her age - although she hasn't accumulated an exceedingly diverse range of breaths like older Qilins, the ones she knows now still get the job done. She mainly uses a healing breath to accentuate the work of her aromatherapy, allowing her to sooth physical tensions in the body akin to a massage. She's also able to regulate temperatures using steam and mist breaths, useful abilities for her green house. The only elemental breath Mei knows is fire, and it is just strong enough to eventually set a small flower aflame, releasing its vapors into the air.

● Fleetness, in terms of speed and agility. Mei is faster than the average Equestrian pony thanks to her the build of her body, which is thin and limber rather than short and pudgy, allowing her to move quickly and purposefully over rough terrain. She is also very flexible, able to easily twist her body around, sometimes in mid-air.

● Botany, an unsurprising trait for a pony in her profession. Though she is only just beginning on her journey, Mei is a competent botanist, able to accurately identify, categorize, and utilize a large amount of flora in an effort to continually expand her aromatherapy practices. As said practices focus on using flowers and herbs the most, the Qilin is strong in identifying such flora, but not as well-versed in other areas, such as trees.

Weaknesses:

● Cowardice, a trait that developed from her peaceful and easy-going life in the far east. Compounded with her foalhood daydreams of being an empress, Mei has grown up with a rather enormous aversion to violence, and most particularly pain. When hurt, she can become rather dramatic, and the Qilin is always the first one to run away from a fight or physical commotion. Though she is well-meaning, Mei would more than likely put herself first in a dangerous situation, cowering before the threatening and unknown.

● Fragile, to an extent. As her body is built for speed and agility, it naturally suffers in other aspects, namely her endurance and strength. Mei is not able to take a hit and keep coming back for more, resulting in the Qilin becoming knocked down and out for the count over incidents that many ponies could simply brush off. She is easy to bruise and just as easy to avoid a second bruising, preferring to simply flee away from whatever painful encounter she just experienced.

Likes:

● Spring showers
● Ares with high concentrations of flowers
● Sweetened drinks, such as lemonade
● Being around others
● Ponies accommodating her
● Fantasizing about princesses and empresses

Disikes:

● Bitter drinks, such as coffee
● Physical pain in near any shape or form
● Hurricanes, and other plant-damaging weather
● Being by herself
● Having her opinion or desires ignored
● Areas with little to no vegetation

Special Somepony:

Lími

Relationships:

Lími // Coltfriend. Heartaches, lies, and prejudices might have given their relationship a ballad-worthy performance, but cherry blossoms ended it on a high note. A young Caribou bull that Mei met in Garden Gait, the Qilin became quickly taken with Lími's poetic spirit and gentle mannerisms. Many misunderstandings and old hurts threatened to end that fascination as quickly as it had started, but sheer stubbornness and tenaciousness kept the two of them together, right through a romantic festival where the two of them revealed their true feelings for one another. Lími is not the prince Mei had long envisioned in her fantasies, a fact that the Qilin has slowly come to realize makes him utterly perfect.

Yù Yuè // Sworn Sister. Mei first met the other Qilin when Yuè's mother moved into her hometown alongside two of her foals, and their relationships quickly blossomed into that of close sisters. It didn't take terribly long for Mei to figure out that the young Qilin she often prodded and cajoled into playing Empress and Maids with came from a royal background, but by that point, the two had forged a friendship closer than blood. Mei was rather abruptly separated from her sworn sister when her parents decided to pack everything and leave for Equestria, but a recent chance reunion between the two has demonstrated the strength of their friendship and love.

Hēi Lián // Close friend, ex-crush. With how often Mei fantasied about becoming a beautiful Empress, it took literally no one by surprise when she developed a bit of a fascination with a Prince of Long Guo. The young and impressionable Qilin wasted no time shoving her dreams onto the Qilin once she found out he belonged to royalty, even as she continued to value the friendship Lián provided. Her move to Equestria cooled the flames of passion into indulgent memories and fantasies, and the addition of a dashing Caribou only pushed them further back. Luckily for Mei, her superficial fantasies have not yet ruined her friendship with the young prince.

Raff, Raffy ◅

Diamond Dog ◅

Older Pup ◅

Outskirts of Ponyville ◅

General Information:

● Lived in a stationary pack that migrated to Gaberott after exhausting its mines of precious gems. He lated separated from his pack to move back near Roundbottom Hills in order to be potentially find the pony that saved his life.

● Doesn't have a permanent job, instead doing manual labor for local ponies in exchange for food and supplies, while also getting some help from the generous donations of random ponies through and around Ponyville.

● Raff carries a stuffed dragon plushie with him wherever he goes. Affectionately named "Chunga", the toy is usually kept safely tucked away in his scarf or vest pockets while he is working - otherwise, it's almost always found clutched between his front paws.

Strengths:

● Strength, a naturally trait that is inherent in most Diamond Dogs. Having grown up working bare rocks with his paws on a daily basis, Raff is much stronger and more muscular than ponies, and is a little bit above average in comparison to others of his species. Most of his strength is centered in his upper body and arms, as they are the bulkiest and most muscular parts of his anatomy. There are very few that can match Raff in brute strength, and is something he vaguely knows that he needs to work on controlling.

● Endurance, an offset of his strength. With an affinity for punching rocks with his bare fists, Raff also boasts a very high tolerance for pain. This affinity extends to his thick skull and rock-hard muscles, allowing the Diamond Dog to literally shrug off pain or injuries that would send most ponies into the hospital. Raff is by no means indestructible - like any living being, he will tire out eventually. His endurance level and pain threshold just seem to extend further out than almost anyone else around him.

● Innocence, in his everyday interactions with others. Though he has almost experienced full maturation, Raff still emulates puppyhood quite a bit, especially in the way he depends on the affection and attention of others. This puppy-like way of interacting tends to endear the Diamond Dog to others, marking him as harmless and innocent, but it also serves to shield Raff's mind from the darker aspects of life.

Weaknesses:

● Agility, unsurprising when considering his top-heavy build. While Raff can move around fairly quickly while on all fours, he generally prefers using his strength while standing up on his hind legs, which allows him use of his arms. Standing upright, however, makes him considerably less agile and nimble, as the bulk centered around the top of his body makes sharp turns and sudden movements quite difficult to pull off. Raff is slow and lumbering while moving upright, making him generally easy to avoid if a pony so wishes to.

● Intelligence, a byproduct of his physically-dominated lifestyle. Raff's pack had absolutely no need for any higher learning above gem counting, and it shows in the young Diamond Dog's inability to comprehend even the most simplistic tasks that require brain power. His illiteracy, combined with his generally naive craving for love and affection, can make him a prime target to manipulation and deceit, and also serves to stymie him in the most inopportune moments.

Likes:

● Having his ears scratched and petted
● Crisp, cool water
● Attention and affection
● Socializing
● Punching and grinding rocks
● Gems of all shapes and colors

Disikes:

● Having to think too hard
● Being ignored or disregarded
● Bad weather, particularly thunderstorms
● Getting his tailed pulled on
● Being alone
● Most vegetables

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Ruffie // Acquaintance. Raff ran into a fellow Diamond Dog shortly after moving back into the Equestrian Heartland, a young pup with ambitions to be the next Alpha of his pack. Raff was instantly charmed by Ruffie, though the two have yet to really interact outside of more than a friendly greeting in passing. Despite his desires for companionship and love, Raff has faithfully remained away from Ruffie's own pack inside the nearby Diamond Dog settlement, thanks to a sense of loyalty and familial obligations to his old pack.

Starshine // Friend, Foodfriend. Soon after he began hanging around the outskirts of Ponyville, a couple of ponies came over to investigate. None were the pony he was looking for, but all of them were nice, especially the ones who made it point to bring him food and supplies every so often. Starshine was one of those, a fact Raff quickly grew to appreciate after living on his own for a while. The pink-maned Unicorn is a bright and friendly pony who never fails to get Raff's tail wagging whenever he spots her coming up the hill with a bag of freshly baked bread.

Liviel // Blood Sister. The storm that gave Raff a lifelong mission was also one that would give him lifelong heartache. Incredibly young at the time as he was, Raff doesn't fully remember the sister he used to cuddle with on cold nights, nor did his parents make any attempts to remind him, mourning the loss of their other pup quietly and behind closed doors. Sometimes, Raff feels like there's something missing in his life...but mostly shrugs it off, as thinking too deeply on it tends to make his head hurt.

Flicker Wick // Friend, Foodfriend. Another one of the Ponyville ponies to take pity on the overgrown pup, Raff ran into Flicker Wick one evening when he caught movement on the edges of the town. It turned out to be an Aerion rummaging in a pile of seeming junk, and the pony's curious wings were enough to give the Diamond Dog reason to investigate this newfound curiosity. Flicker Wick has become another supplier of food and items for the Diamond Dog since that night, but in this case, Raff is allowed to return the favor by helping the Aerion with her scavenging every so often. This suits Raff just fine, as does the manual labor and companionship, even if Flicker Wick is rather quiet for a pony.

Cyclone Guard // Rescuer, Alpha. A mysterious pony who saved Raff from a miserable night of soaked fur, chilled air, and a sense of utter isolation, the mare left Raff a stuffed plushie and her blanket before he was coherent enough to really understand who had saved him. The Diamond Dog has made it his mission to find and thank this mare for saving his life that night, although he has mistakenly labeled Ponyville as her home given the proximity of the accident to the town. Still, Raff has been patiently biding his time, and eagerly awaits the day he can repay the favor to her.

XXXWRAITH Elite OperativeXXX
WRAITH Elite Operative
XXXWRAITH Elite OperativeXXX

Reve, North, Number Two ◅

Unicorn

Stallion

Eponnine Mountains

General Information:

● Comes from a relatively wealthy family in Trottingham, where he was born and where he grew up as a long colt named Northern Star. Joined the REIN and served as a special operative until he defected. Is formally classified as MIA by the Equestrian government.

● Constantly wears a WRAITH-made, enchanted ring fitted around the base of his horn that makes the appendage invisible. It also stifles the magical aura that is produced when he uses magic, making it near indiscernible.

● Currently serves WRAITH as an Elite Operative and Number One's Lieutenant, specializing in both covert and combat missions.

Strengths:

● Negation magic, a unique school of magic Revenant developed and cultivated himself. He has mastered the ability of breaking down magic and objects to their bare aether or chemical components, effectively removing them from existence. Thus, his magic works similarly to magic that can summon objects out of thin air, only in the opposite direction. This magic is mostly used in infiltration missions, allowing him to negate magical barriers, physical locks, and other obstacles by simply removing them from existence. He can also utilize it in combat, both to nullify attacks against himself and to temporarily neutralize the magical properties a being's species possess, making them weak and vulnerable to an attack.

● Persistence, from the smallest of desires to the grandiose goals in his life. Revenant's cutie mark manifested thanks to his unending drive to get whatever it is he wants, and that mindset has shaped the Unicorn's strengths today. While he has enough control to be patient enough to wait for opportunity, Revenant still houses an unrelenting passion to get what he wants, even if it takes him years to get it. That ruthless drive has molded the Unicorn into a relentless operative that will stop at nothing to get the job done, a facet that has made him into a very dangerous individual.

● Combat, plain and simple. Thanks to his years in the REIN and further work under WRAITH's directive, Revenant has developed into both a physically and intelligently capable asset to the underground movement. He is a master hoof-to-hoof combatant, and combined with his physical strength, he makes for a deadly opponent to face head on. His covert training as a special operative in the REIN also molded his abilities concerning stealth and subterfuge, allowing him to both set up sneak attacks and stalk undetected through a facility. In addition, Revenant is capable swordspony who is usually able to hold his own in a sword fight utilizing a shinken in his right hoof and a dirk in his left.

Weaknesses:

● Stubbornness, a byproduct of his relentless and persistent nature. Once Revenant has decided on something, there is little to no chance in changing his mind, evidenced by his utter disregard over the stability and competence of the Equestrian government. While this makes him loyal to a cause and singularly-focused, it is also detrimental, as stubbornness and pride can sometimes override logic and reason. He is not prone to ignoring facts when on an important mission or anything work-related, but when faced with a pony who tries to reason with his views, they may as well attempt to reason with a brick wall for all of their success.

● Love, a bit ironic for a stallion like Revenant. Somewhere between executing missions for the REIN, defecting, and becoming an Elite Operative for WRAITH, Revenant fell in love with another. Whether this love is a classic, romantic connection or simply strong feelings of some sort for another being is unclear - whatever the case, Revenant is completely careful not to let his feelings show. However, that doesn't stop the Unicorn from losing some of his senses when it comes down to it. If the situation arises, Revenant does not hesitant to throw himself headlong into danger to protect this other, and sometimes even operates from the shadows to do so.

Likes:

● Parfaits and similar confections
● WRAITH's long-term goals
● Weapons from the Far East
● Civilized and well-mannered individuals
● Feelings of superiority
● Elaborate and complex dishes

Disikes:

● Not getting what he wants
● Ill-mannered and bumbling individuals
● Being shown up
● Simple and straightforward dishes
● Equestrian government
● Being lectured to

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Dog // Co-worker, Subordinate. Despite Revenant's taste for more well-mannered and intelligent individuals, he can't help but find Dog's superficial brain power charming in its own way, mostly because of the other's malleability. Dog is a dull individual, the sort that is so low-ranking that Revenant can't help but feel some sort of pity and affection for him, as if the Diamond Dog is so low on the threat level that he's not even worth considering as anything other than a particularly affluent animal. This unintended affection on Revenant's part manifests in some protective and almost nurturing instincts, as if Dog were a favored pet rather than a stalwart co-worker. Still, the two get along fine, allowing Revenant's mild insults to sail harmlessly over the Diamond Dog's head.

Number One // Boss. The loyalty Revenant expresses towards the leader of WRAITH is equal to that of the most stalwart Changelings for their Queen. Number One is, in Revenant's eyes, an utterly essential part of the organization, and works towards a better Equestria free from the incompetency and leniency of the current ruling Princesses. Her efforts to revolutionize the country, through force if necessary, have earned Revenant's staunch allegiance, and Number One is one of the very few ponies that can even hope to have any influence at all over the Unicorn's mind.

Current Roleplays:

Clean Solutions at a Steep Expense // What sounds too good to be true is probably too good to be true, but Revenant refuses to let that stop his inquisition of a potential gold mine of potions.

Past Roleplays:

The Secret Rally // The oppressive reign of the tyrannical Princesses cannot be stopped on its own, and Revenant attends a secret WRAITH rally intent on gaining support for the radical movement.

Gates of the Garden // Any chance to garner information on the potential allies of Equestrian government is a chance Revenant cannot pass up, prompting a visit to the after-hours of the Grand Galloping Gala.

Katsuo, Kat, Su-Su ◅

Ryuma ◅

Stallion

Wandering

General Information:

● Born and raised to the lands east of Equestria, in a small community that focused on advancement in the maths and sciences.

● Is currently on bad terms with his immediate family, due to his rejection of the role his family wished for him to take, in order to become the next head of the household and carry on the family tradition.

● Has no set home in Equestria, and mostly wanders where he pleases. Though he is able to find enough odd jobs to keep up with his restless spirit, he also needs to be careful about where he spends his bits.

Strengths:

● Swordsponyship, a skill he learned from his mentor from his hometown. Though young, Katsuo has feverishly thrown himself into the ancient arts of the wandering swords ponies, replicating everything he's either learned or read about. This includes intense swords and combat training under the hooves of his mentor, who taught him proper techniques and katas in order to help him master the art. Katsuo still has a long ways to go until he becomes a true master, but for his age, he is very skilled with the use of his katana, a dragon forged sword that was his last gift from his mentor.

● Enchantment, with the use of his breath magic. As the breath magic is Ryumas is weaker than the magic of their Kirin brothers, Katsuo doesn't often favor it. He has learned to use it for certain circumstances however - most specifically in the enchantment of his body, clothing, and weapon. Utilizing different aspects of the varying schools of breath magic, Katsuo is able to imbue himself and objects with certain properties, usually to make them stronger or more powerful. This skill can allow his robe to offer protection better than cloth should be able to or imbue his katana with a reservoir of energy.

● Flexbile, in terms of his ability to adapt to near any situation. Katsuo doesn't really plan ahead any further than his next meal, and lets life lead him where it shall. The Ryuma is capable of adapting to most situations he finds himself a part of - even if his reaction to each situation is different, there is almost never a sense that he simply cannot deal with it. Katsuo is used to having curve balls thrown at him and thinking of different solutions, a habit picked up simply due to his tendency to drift through life.

Weaknesses:

● Technology, due to his relatively recent stint into the modern world. Though Katsuo has never had a problem with the idea of technological advancement itself, he threw himself into his traditional studies in an act of rebellion against his family. Now in Equestria and free to do whatever he wishes, Katsuo is slowly becoming accustomed to everything he disassociated himself from before. But newer pieces of technology, no matter how big or small, can often thrown the Ryuma off his game, even as he marvels at the wonders of the modern age.

● Restlessness, a trait that is often mistaken for greed. Katsuo currently has no purpose in his life, no greater goal - as such, he wanders from place to place, unconsciously seeking to fill the void in his life with something or someone. Despite the samurai code that supposedly guides him, Katsuo can lose sight of himself in the fact of this yearning want, causing him to act out in seemingly uncharacteristic ways.

Tsu ◅

Ryuma ◅

Young mare

Rainbow Falls

General Information:

● Lived with her family on the Neighponese isle of Ryushima until she came of age, and left to investigate the land of Equestria.

● Has been trained in the art of ninjutsu, an ancient and mostly outdated style of of warfare that employs covert operations and subterfuge, and is currently striving to reach the status of a master ninja.

● Holds a long-time grudge against the Imperial Dynasty of Long Guo, believing its formation as the cause of her family's decline, and undermines the country's efforts in Equestria whenever possible.

Strengths:

● Stealth and subterfuge, skill sets that any ninja worth their salt has mastered. Being a ninja is all about remaining covert and out of sight, a fact that Tsuki employs both in broad daylight and in the middle of the night. Her ability to steal through a darkened room or sneak along the rooftops is second to none, and allows the Ryuma to set up position near anywhere she pleases. She has a keen sense for both movement and stillness, and knows when it's best to quickly dart to the next shadow or simply freeze in position, lest movement give away her position.

● Performance, an offshoot of her abilities as a self-proclaimed geisha. The Ryuma is a talented performer, specializing in her fan dance that utilizes twin tessen, and is also moderately capable in other areas of performances, such as music, singing, and hosting. This talent for performance also extends to Tsuki's ninja profession, as she is capable of making use of several disguises to best fit her current task. Tsuki can adapt the garb and mannerisms necessary to ensure that she blends in with a crowd a "just another pony."

● Breath magic, at least in the specific spells Tsuki has cultivated in order to aid her missions. With the help of a Qilin master breath mage, the Ryuma has been able to design and perfect a hoof-ful of different spells that help mask her presence, detect the presence of others around her, and allow her brief bursts of speed. She is also capable of managing a mediocre water breath that can often be used to distract or disorient others, allowing her a quick, albeit messy, getaway.

Weaknesses:

● Endurance, making drawn out fights extremely detrimental for her. Though Tsuki is very fast, she is not particularly strong, and more conditioned to use her energy for sneaking around and moving very quickly. A physical confrontation up close and personal is the very last thing the ninja wants when completing a task. The Ryuma can hold her own in a hoof fight for a while, but a drawn out fight will have her energy sapping before long, leaving her vulnerable and desperate to make away before she goes down for good.

● Bitterness, a trait that has resulted in some very foolish decisions on the Ryuma's part. Tsuki's hatred of Long Guo has her determined to do everything she can to undermine the country's overtures of peace in Equestria, in an effort to stir up discontent between the two allies. Any job that even hints at this potential is one she will undertake, despite the various obstacles standing in her way. Tsuki lets the past and her perceived plight cloud her better judgement at times, which can put her in awkward situations that she doesn't realize are over her head until far too late.

Likes:

● Nighttime
● Jasmine rice
● Performing her fan dance
● Being looked up to
● Undermining Long Guo's authority
● Quiet and polite ponies

Disikes:

● Being out-performed
● Heavy spices
● Excessively loud ponies
● Long Guo and its Dynasty
● Snow and cold weather
● Renegades

XXXShogunXXX
Shogun
XXXShogunXXX

Ryu ◅

Ryuma ◅

Young stallion

Kyoma

General Information:

● Serves as the current Shogun of Neighpon, a position inherited from his mother after her death at the hooves of a Kaiju. Has only been the Shogun for a relatively recent amount of time - long enough to showcase an empathic, but nonetheless practical methodology towards ruling a nation.

● Grew up in the Palace Castle in Kyoma, which also serves as the Seat of the Shogun. He has traveled to other areas of Neighpon, most notably the hot springs under Mount Kaminichi and Polohama, and served two years in the Neighponese military before becoming the Shogun.

● Is formally addressed as Rakuen Heika or just Heika, though Ryuichi has lax feelings on formalities when in the privacy of a close friend or two.

● Owns a personalized golem named Raijū, a gift from his mother to celebrate his successful return from the military.

Strengths:

● Leadership, a skill that has been drilled into him since birth. Ryuichi knows how to take control of a room and place emphasis on himself as the ultimate voice of reason and guidance, no matter what level of confidence he has in the situation. The Ryuma is decisive and sure-hoofed, not one to agonize over or think back on past decisions, and as the ruler of an entire nation, takes great care in passing himself off as a completely unflappable and unshakeable Shogun.

● Resolve, in his ability to stand firm in his decisions. As the leader of an entire nation, Ryuichi knows that no decision or ruling will be met with unanimous approval from every one in Neighpon, especially when that ruling is an unpopular one. The Ryuma does what is deemed best for the nation as a whole, despite the smaller groups that may be more negatively affected, and stands resolute in the face of both praise and criticism.

● Martial Arts, particularly with the katana. Ryuichi is a master swordspony who is able to make the most use out of most Neighponese designed blades, but he especially excels with the katana, thanks to tradition painting it as the weapon of distinction for the Shogun. He also makes for a component hoof-to-hoof combatant against the average pony, but falls short in comparison to anything more. Ryuichi relies on speed and agility rather than brute strength to fend off enemies, usually attacking from angles and side-steps rather than head on.

Weaknesses:

● Sentimentality, especially when weighed against a more practical decision. Ryuichi never condones unjust and obviously immoral actions, but that doesn't stop him from placing practicality over sentiment. There is hardly a moment where the Ryuma considers how a decision that negatively affects moral might be just as dangerous as one that affects Neighpon on a more physical level, instead choosing to follow the cold, logical facts over the more emotionally-driven ones.

● Breath magic, resulting in a physically-orientated fighting style. As Ryumas are naturally less inclined towards breath magic then their Kirin cousins, Ryuichi's lack of talent for the art might not be surprising. Considering his position however, the Shogun's awareness in this area - or lack thereof - is a definite disadvantage. He is moderately adept with the Metal school of breath magic and nothing else, and hopes to shore up his lack of skill in the near future.

Likes:

● Golem Fighting

● Hot Springs

● Peaceful Resolutions

● Festivals and Celebrations

● Traditional Neighponese Instruments

● Steamed Dumplings

Disikes:

● Kaiju

● Dissension in the Shogunate

● Unnecessary Violence

● Being Doubted

● Stormy Weather

● Modern Electrical Instruments

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Akuma Hantā // Machi Bugyō. Ryuichi's feelings on the Grand Admiral of Neighpon's military fleet are mixed, as he both cannot deny her military prowess, nor can he ignore her history for recklessness in the face of her mission. Her skill and experience have, so far, won out, and the Earth Pony plays an important role on the Shogunate as a military advisor and strategist. Despite this, Ryuichi can't help but feel somewhat leery of her, and keeps a close eye on her career.

Shiroi Boshi // Gijutsu-sha. The Technomancer on the Shogunate is about as eccentric as they come, but Ryuichi is more than impressed with Shiroi's sheer genius. His advisor in all things magitech is not a mare that Ryuichi responds keenly with on a personal level, but her professionalism and the seriousness in which she takes her position are facets that he values greatly in the pony...extreme mane-do and all.

Tsuyo Yamabushi // Hatamoto. A samurai of peerless skill and prowess, Ryuichi had the good fortune to briefly meet the much acclaimed warrior for himself, in preparation to name him as the new Hatamoto of the Shogunate. Unfortunately, Yamabushi's serious debts came to light soon after, causing a public backlash against the honoring. Ryuichi was greatly impressed by Yamabushi and saddened to hear of his self-imposed exile, but understood the Ryuma's reasonings. Even still, he holds the position of the Hatamoto open and skillfully waves off requests to fill it, hoping that Yamabushu will one day return to Neighpon.

Sandā Kumo // Shīrudo, Foalhood Friend. As the daughter of the Grand Admiral before Akuma, Ryuichi pretty much grew up with Sandā, as the then filly made frequent visits to the Palace Castle. After the both of them received their cutie marks and began expanding, they began seeing each other more frequently. The death of the current Shogun and Machi Bugyō only solidified their relationship when Ryuichi named her the new Shīrudo, and he hasn't looked back since. The two of them are closer than blood, and Sandā is one of the few ponies Ryuichi acts openly around, trusting the Pegasus with both his life and his secrets.

Taiyou Hibana // Kansei, Friend. Head of the care taking team responsible for Ryuichi's personal golem, the Shogun shares an interesting relationship with Hibana, one of few ponies who makes it clear she is in no way intimidated by his status and power. Met after a particularly eventful match in the Polohama Dome, Ryuichi kept note of Hibana's skills in golem engineering, long through his time in the military and ascension onto the Seat of the Shogun. With the previous Kansei retired, Ryuichi was quick to remember Hibana, and a few letters were all it bring his friend to the Palace Castle. Like Sandā, Hibana is one of the few that Ryuichi feels comfortable enough with to let his stoic and stern Shogun mask fall, and not even the outcries of an entire Shogunate can change that.

Hoshi Shirogane // Idol, Potential Bride. Ryuichi's love of the Polohama Dome has not abated over the years. Always quick to follow the circuit of both veteran and up-and-coming prodigies, Ryuichi quickly began hearing about Hoshi after the young mare won a league championship, and the news didn't stop there. He even had the pleasure of attending one of her matches, where he observed as a spectator rather than a guest of honor. Aside from watching her battle at the Dome, golem trainers of particular notice and prestige are sometimes invited to the Palace Castle, and Ryuichi hopes to one day meet the young trainer who is quickly rising through the ranks.

Ishi Masayoshi // Younger brother, Ōmetsuke. Being born only a few years apart, Ryuichi and his sibling developed a rapport early on. Their friendship lasted even as Ryuichi was forced to turn away to focus more on his duties as a future Shogun, and only grew stronger after the death of their mother. With Ishi being a member of the Primary Shogunate, Ryuichi spends more time with him than any other family member, and it shows in their close bond with one another.

Jiyūna Soyokaze // Younger sister. The youngest sibling of the royal trio, Ryuichi's unconditional love for his innocent sister is unsurprisingly coupled with a healthy dosage of both protectiveness and encouragement. Despite being lenient enough to not stifle the young Ryuma's free spirit, Ryuichi still can't help but allow protective tendencies to crop up whenever her adventures begin straying too far from home. Nonetheless, Ryuichi attempts to maintain a nurturing and guiding hoof with his sister while simultaneously struggling not to spoil her endlessly.

Akarui Yozora // Father. While Ryuichi's relationship with his mother always teetered on familial love and authoritative respect, the Shogun has had no such complications with his father. From his birth, Akarui has always been a pillar of support for the up-and-coming Shogun, and his father is the one Ryuichi would often turn to when the burdens of becoming a ruler of Neighpon grew too much. The old Kirin has been a constant source of love and guidance in his life, and Ryuichi unconsciously tends to imitate his father's mannerisms in dealing with his own siblings.

Yù Yuè // Empress of Long Guo, Ally. Once thought to be nothing more than a bartered chess piece on a political playing board, Ryuichi was just as surprised to learn about the untraditional ascension of Yù Yuè onto the Dragon Throne. The two of them have met once or twice as young foals, a natural meeting of new generations, but only recently have the two of them met as equals across the table. They've both made their intentions of a harmonious alliance between Neighpon and Long Guo clear, though only time will tell if their relationship will progress past a professional showcasing into something more sincere.

Hēi Lián // Prince of Long Guo, Close Friend. Though originally only seen as an extension of his siblings that Ryuichi was expected to get along with as a foal, the Ryuma quickly found a close companion in the young colt. During his rare visits to Long Guo, Ryuichi played more frequently with Lián than any of his brothers and sisters, and their association grew as the years passed. Lián's decision to follow the Harmonious Path, along with Ryuichi's stint in the military and subsequent ascension onto the Seat of the Shogun, slowed their friendship down some, but the two still keep in contact with one another, and try to make time and visit as much as their dual hectic schedules allow.

The Karaoke Kabinet // The night is young as Ryuichi, accompanied by several close friends and shogunate members, take the opportunity to relax and sing away the evening.

Yin, Mingming ◅

Qilin ◅

Young mare

Long Kong

General Information:

● Born and raised in a rural town settled at the base of a mountain pass. Spent her foalhood there before joining the Fenghuang monastery to pursue enlightenment on the Harmonious Paths.

● Moved to Long Kong after several years, joining up with a local Triad. Currently works as the Triad's Grass Slipper, responsible for interacting with rival gangs, businesses, and politicians on behalf of the Triad.

● Full name is Zhēnzhū Míng, but only responds to 'Yin' a nicknamed the Triad gave her shortly after her joining. Her real name is unknown to all save family members and monastery acquaintances.

Strengths:

● Breath Magic, in general. Yin is an extremely powerful breath magic user, with an innate talent for learning and utilizing new spells almost on the fly. Though she lacks the motivation to retain spells and breath knowledge over long periods of time, Yin is capable of taking in new spells almost instantly, dependent on their strength and complexity. She is able to combine different schools of breath to create new and interesting effects, for whatever day-to-day situation she needs to face.

● Teleportation, including portal creation. While overall powerful with breath magic, Yin's true strength lies in her teleportation abilities. Alongside her abilities with the Fire school of breath magic, Yin has worked tirelessly to cultivate her specially combined Wood and Metal breaths to be able to transcend and rearrange herself in a different location. She is able to chain multiple teleports in quick succession, and can even set up temporary portals around Long Kong that allow her to move all across the city. These portals wear off after a while, and must be recharged and re-breathed every once in a while. However, they make for extremely convenient short cuts in times of crisis - or when she's simply too lazy to walk back home.

● Composure, even in the most dire of situations. With her laid-back attitude and easy-going nature, it is almost impossible to get Yin riled up. She maintains a relaxed and carefree composure that keeps her calm in nearly every situation and outcome, despite how grave things might be. Her tendency towards calm and serenity is so severe that she often comes off as indifferent or apathetic, as if she simply doesn't care - however, that is not the case, as Yin simply likes to take things easy, and sees no point in letting her feathers get ruffled.

Weaknesses:

● Physicality, in near every sense of the word. Yin's strengths lie in the aetheral, not the physical, and it is painfully obvious to anyone who takes two seconds to notice. Although the Qilin can move exceptionally fast and has a great reaction time, those are the extents of her physical capabilities. Yin doesn't handle damage that well, and a couple of well-placed hits can have her flopping over like a wet rag. She's also completely useless in a hoof-to-hoof fight, as her punches and kicks lack any sort of strength. Yin relies nearly entirely on her breath magic to do the talking, and when that fails, has little else to fall back on.

● Motivation, or lack thereof. Yin has learned how to take care of the necessary things, but that's about it. When it comes down to going the extra mile, the Qilin will more often than not choose to stay put until there is no other option available. The complete antithesis to her brother's hard working attitude, Yin has no qualms simply waiting to let events unfold, preferring only to step in through necessity rather than choice. Unsurprisingly, opportunities and events tend to pass the young Qilin by as she makes no moves to reach out and grab them.

Likes:

● Long naps

● Maple syrup

● Being around others

● Jokes and puns

● Anything magic-based

● Hanging out for fun

Disikes:

● Working too hard

● Threats against loved ones

● Humorless ponies

● Physical labor

● Isolation

● Arguments within the Triad

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Fēng Yīnhǎitāo // Brother. Despite visits being a rare treat between brother and sister, Yin's silent adoration of her older brother hasn't changed. Being the closest family member in terms of friendship and love, Yin is fiercely protective of Fēng, even if she appears only mildly proud of the eldest. Even though the Longma represents a complete antithesis to Yin's own lazy working attitude, the Qilin still considers Fēng the coolest brother ever, and makes sure to keep watchful tabs on him.

Yang // Friend, Triad Partner. Often the muscle that backs up Yin's subtle threads, it is no wonder that the duo known as Yin and Yang have developed quite a fearsome reputation in downtown Long Kong. Her official partner in the Triad hierarchy, Yin and Yang get along splendidly with one another, despite a somewhat rocky start to their relationship. The two seem to compliment each other in almost every way, making them an effective and subtly ferocious threat to any dissenters of the Divine Protectorate...not to mention the dragon can make a mean bowl of noodles.

Corva // Friend, Triad Associate. If Yin had been a Longma, the saying "birds of a feather" would have never rang truer than in reference to her relationship with Corva. A fellow member of the Triad Yin is involved with, Corva is a griffon who shares the Qilin's laziness and sense of humor to an almost eerie sense. It is to the surprise of no one that they get along fairly well, though that seems to hold true for most anyone Yin meets who can withstand her lazy nature and terrible puns.

Aunt Ci // Target. Perhaps the most stubborn customer on the Triad's list of shopkeepers, Aunt Ci holds a reputation all of her own among the Traids of Long Kong. Yin regards the old Qilin with the same sort of laziness and apathy she regards most everyone who's yet to make any significant impact in her life, though she can't help but admire Aunt Ci's spunk and complete disregard for the Protectorate's not-too-insignificant suggestions. Being a very short-lived employee at the Qilin's antiques shop, Yin often drops by for unexpected visits, just to spew terrible puns and annoy Aunt Ci enough for her to grab her very familiar broom.

N/A ◅

Ōkami Yokai ◅

Unknown

Kamikakushi no Shinrin

General Information:

● Watches over and resides in a forest named Kamikakushi no Shinrin. Thanks to his actions, the forest has a reputation of travelers becoming lost and subsequently spirited away by an unknown spirit or being, only to show up weeks or months later on the edge of the forest.

● Is known to the pony world at large as Ōkami, a highly successful and eccentric model that is highly sought after, but is infamously elusive to actually get onto set. He appears when he feels like it and has no known way to contact him, but is always able to find a modeling job due to his looks, skills, and infamy.

● His true Yokai form boasts a white gem that sits in the middle of the webwork of bone and keratin expanding inwards from his horns. To his own knowledge, the gem is fully embedded into the network of bone and impossible to remove.

Strengths:

● Speed and agility, capable of performing feats unmatched by a normal wolf. Kamikakushi no Shinrin can run fast and swift, over large distances for extended periods of time and allowing him to clear obstacles that would hinder most other creatures sans flyers. He also has exceptional balance, able to find and use the smallest points of leverage in order to keep advancing. His precision and balance can even allow him to run across tree branches if they prove sturdy enough.

● Magic, plain and simple. As an Ōkami Yokai, Kamikakushi no Shinrin boasts a natural and inherent talent with the magical arts. Basic abilities such as levitation are second nature to him, though he takes special interest in a few particular abilities. They range from the creation and execution of energy waves, to his ability to feel the earth around him. For the most part, Kamikakushi no Shinrin is at its absolute peak when he's nearby or inside his home forest. Further away from it, his powers begin to diminish, though he has never tested exactly how far he can travel before he becomes completely powerless.

● Inquisitiveness, and a burning desire to know. What started as a simple spiriting away of a small filly would turn into a lifetime of wonder and yearning in Kamikakushi no Shinrin. The Yokai's desire to know and understand the world around him is what gave him strength to first venture away from his forest and start integrating himself within pony kind. His interest in the world has offered support and confidence where they might be insecurity, and Kamikakushi no Shinrin doesn't let anything stop him from learning and discovering what lies ahead.

Weaknesses:

● Inquisitiveness, and a burning desire to know. Despite lending its strength to Kamikakushi no Shinrin when he first began his adventure, it is no surprise that his naturally curious nature also lead to some pitfalls and traps along the way. A few close scraps with Yokai hunters were the direct result of the Ōkami sticking his nose in places he should have been wise enough to avoid, a fact that doesn't seem to stop him from continuing to sniff out whatever might interest him. Since the time he decided to suck up his pride and take on a pony disguise, these instances have lessened...but they have not fully dissipated, either.

● Anti-magical spells and devices, ranging from magitech to wards. Kamikakushi no Shinrin is a Yokai and inherently magical, and as such, his entire being - both his magical abilities and physical being - suffer when some anti-magic warfare comes his way. It has cost him a fair few run-in with the smarter Yokai hunters, and Kamikakushi no Shinrin has grown extremely wary being around anything that opposes magic, be it natural or pony-made.

Likes:

● His home forest

● Willow trees

● Sticky buns

● Small, furred animals

● Modeling

● Running long distances

Dislikes:

● Crowded cities

● Pollution

● Most pony drinks

● Yokai hunters

● Loggers and woodcutters

● Loneliness

Special Somepony:

● N/A

Relationships:

Sandā Kumo // Descendent of Spirited Away. The great-granddaughter of an elderly Pegasus Kamikakushi no Shinrin had once spirited away into his forest. That pony died a long time ago, but the Yokai still remembers his features in near perfect detail, enough to know his descendants when spotted. He has yet to actively meet Sanda face to face, but is entirely patient enough to wait for a chance, should one occur.

Grim Solace // Rescuer. A necromancer who had initially wandered into his forest in search of the spirit that was rumored to reside inside it, the Earth Pony's curious timing actually saved Kamikakushi no Shinrin's life from a group of experienced Yokai hunters. Although the Wolf Yokai has escaped from the grasp of hunters before, the close brush with an experienced group was a first, and left him fondly in the debt of the middle-aged Earth Pony.

Toboe Hiretsuna // Acquaintance. Kamikakushi no Shinrin doesn't really know Toboe on a personal level - rather, a brief meeting with her parents while the family pack was traveling through his forest compromises the entirety of the Yokai's association with the pup. Kamikakushi no Shinrin only has vague memories of that family pack, but sometimes wonders where they might have wandered off to after leaving his forest.

Tsuyo Yamabushi // Rescuer. Despite various meetings and run-ins with Yokai hunters, Kamikakushi no Shinrin's first experience with magic-dispelling equipment nearly cost him his freedom. Though the hunter himself was inexperienced, his equipment successfully captured the Wolk Yokai in a trap, and it was only Yamabushi's timely intervention that saved the Yokai a fate on the black market. Since then, Kamikakushi no Shinrin has owed the Ryuma a life debt, and he keeps an eager eye on the edges of his forest for any trace of Yamabushi's return.

XXXImperial Wood Synergist XXX
Imperial Wood Synergist
XXXImperial Wood Synergist XXX

Xiu ◅

Qilin ◅

Young mare

Huangjing

General Information:

● Was born in Spring Blossom Town, and raised with the intent of marrying her off to the son of a rich shimmersilk merchant in order to improve their family standing.

● Has completely cut ties with her family and old friends from Spring Blossom Town, partly out of shame, partly out of anger.

● Currently serves in the Imperial Palace as the Imperial Wood Synergist, a fancy title proclaiming Xiu as the head healer and physician of the palace. Has fallen head over heels for Fēng, a member of the Imperial Watch.

● Is the current "owner" of a rare Fenghuang bird that she and Fēng found and bonded with one day. The Fenghuang in and of itself is rather peculiar, and seems to display traits more in-line with a common bird than a mystical creature of fortune and favor.

Strengths:

● Wood Breath, a must have skill that secured her position at the Imperial Palace. Xiu specializes in a variety of healing breath magics that perform numerous different actions, such as numbing pain, healing flesh wounds, and soothing aches. She is a masterful caretaker when it comes to physical problems, and can even use different breaths to purge poisons and toxins from another's body. Xiu is skilled and powerful enough with Wood Breathing that she can even rapidly heal what would normally be a fatal wound, enough at least to prevent instant death.

● Housekeeping, thanks to her traditional upbringing. Because her parents were dead set on Xiu securing a future by marrying a rich young stallion, they taught their daughter skills a perfect housewife would have. She keeps a clean and neat house at all times, and can often be seen fussing over the positioning and placement of furnitures in order to maximize space and cleanliness. Xiu is also a very talented cook, able to create a variety of meals using even the barest of ingredients, and preforms nearly all household chores on par or better than a royally trained staff member.

● Empathy, a natural byproduct given her line of work. Xiu cares for the well-being of others, and is a natural caretaker who loves to coddle her friends and loved ones. She can get overbearing without meaning to, but for the most part, Xiu's ability to empathize with others have allowed her to carry on her job and position to the upmost of her abilities.

Weaknesses:

● Physicality, at least in terms of strength. While her endurance has been raised thanks to stints as a field medic, Xiu's overall physical fitness falls on the short end of the stick. She is not a very strong individual, often needing help moving large containers around her infirmary, or when receiving new shipments of supplies. Living a comfortable and cushy life in the Imperial Palace, Xiu has really seen no need to supplement her physical body in any way outside of general health care, but in dire situations can be suffering for it.

● Passivity, on most aspects of her life. Xiu is not an individual that stands up well to conflict or controversy, and is often the first to cave into the demands of another in an effort to keep the peace. This tends to hold doubly true in the Imperial Palace, as she is almost constantly surrounded by ponies who's higher stations add on to the instinctual submissiveness she was brought up to showcase. Just about the only instances where Xiu will push back against another either involve their attempt to control her life, or in a fight for Fēng's affections and attentions.

Relationships:

Yù Yuè // Empress of Long Guo. Xiu has, at most, a professional relationship with the Empress of Long Guo, a fact that Xiu herself takes no measures to try and change, feeling that to do so would be impertinent and disrespectful. However, Xiu cannot help but dislike the Empress on some level, for the simple fact that Fēng's devotion remains entirely on her. Still, such feelings are shallow at best, and Xiu continues to serve the Empress to the best of her abilities.

Fēng Yīnhǎitāo // Friend, Romantic Interest. With a hard-to-forget introduction in the form of the Imperial Watch member saving her from some bandits, it was little wonder Xiu soon found herself smitten. The Longma's easy-going nature, a direct contrast to Xiu's quietly and carefully controlled life, drew the Qilin to him, and the two bonded further thanks to his frequent visits to her infirmary. Even Fēng's outright declaration of feelings for the Empress only crushed Xiu's hopes temporarily, her love soon giving her determination to turn his eyes away from the Empress and onto herself.

Yanhua // Associate, Rival. Xiu had no problem with the Palace's head chef for a while - until she learned of the other Qilin's feelings for Fēng. Ever since then, the two mares have had a cordial but tense relationship, especially considering Xiu's penchant for not responding well to teasing and snarking from ponies she doesn't know very well. Suffice to say, their relationship fares the worse whenever Fēng is within the vicinity of both mares, a fact that the Longma himself remains blissfully unaware of.
