I'll pick...(throws dart) ...Dah Bills.Taco, there could be some extenuating circumstances in the Buffalo-NY Jets game due to the huge snowstorm that area just had. There's talk that the stadium in Buffalo might not be shoveled out in time to play the game. Moving the game to the Meadowlands this week is unlikely, due to the fact that the NY Giants are playing there this Sunday Night. Bottom line, there's a possibility that the game could be cancelled altogether. If that happens, no winner.So in the light of this development, I will allow you (and anyone else who wants to pick either the Bills or Jets this week ONLY) to choose a second team AS AN ALTERNATE just in case the game DOES get cancelled. This way, if that game is called off (which could likely be a last second decision) then you'd still have an active team for Week 12. If you don't want to choose an alternate, that's fine but keep in mind if you don't choose one and the game's cancelled, no potential points at all.If you want to take me up on this offer, you have till the Thursday Night Kickoff to post your alternate choice here.I want to be as fair as I can with all our game players, so this is why I am extending this offer to you (or anyone who chooses the Bills or Jets this week ONLY). Mojo Posted November 26, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 26, 2014 Announcing the NFL Modified Elimination Pool Game PLAYOFF Challenge!"PLAYOFFS? playoffs?" - Jim Mora Sr.Yes, playoffs!The system I've designed will take into account our regular season of the NFL Elimination Challenge.Here's how it'll work, at the end of Week 17, all game players will be ranked based on the number of points (wins) they had during the season. There will be tiebreakers in case there are players with the same number of points at the end.In each round of the NFL playoffs, all teams playing games that week will be part of a selection pool.The HIGHEST ranked player will select their winning team for that week first, then the next highest ranked player, and so on until all players have a unique team picked. For the purposes of the NFL playoffs, players will NOT be allowed to select the SAME team as anyone else. This is why our 'regular season' will be so important, it will set up the picking order for the playoffs.After that week's playoff games are done, those who picked winning teams will get to pick teams the following week. All those who pick losing teams will, as in the real NFL playoffs, be eliminated from further playoff action. The game will continue either until there remains one single winning player or the end of the Super Bowl, depending on who 'survives' each playoff round. It is also possible with this system that, under a certain set of circumstances, that no players will remain. That's the risk we'll all have to take.Any questions?
