My week 8 power rankings update:

Broncos (6-1) -0

Packers (5-3) ^3

Cardinals (6-1) ^8

Cowboys (6-2) ^9

Chargers (5-3) v2

Patriots (6-2) ^8

Colts (5-3) v1

Lions (6-2) v1

Eagles (5-2) -0

Bengals (4-2-1) v6

Ravens (5-3) ^1

Seahawks (4-3) v10

Chiefs (4-3) ^2

49ers (4-3) v6

Steelers (5-3) ^4

Saints (3-4) ^1

Texans (4-4) ^1

Panthers (3-4-1) ^10

Bills (5-3) ^7

Dolphins (4-3) ^2

Redskins (3-5) ^6

Rams (2-5) ^3

Giants (3-4) v2

Browns (4-3) ^5

Vikings (3-5) v2

Falcons (2-6) v16

Buccaneers (1-6) v4

Bears (3-5) v12

Titans (2-6) ^2

Jaguars (1-7) -0

Jets (1-7) v11

Raiders (0-7) -0

And a little fun exercise. I always hear how dominant the NFC is over the AFC. I wont doubt NFC is the better conference, but I think its 'dominance' is exaggerated. I will rank the two conferences' teams in a list of 16 by the official win percentage tie breaking procedures, and match them up across conference on neutral fields, and see what we get....

Broncos vs. Cardinals

Patriots vs. Lions

Bengals vs. Cowboys

Colts vs. Panthers

Chargers vs. Eagles

Bills vs. Packers

Ravens vs. 49ers

Steelers vs. Seahawks

Chiefs vs. Saints

Dolphins vs. Giants

Browns vs. Bears

Texans vs. Vikings

Titans vs. Redskins

Jets vs. Rams

Jaguars vs. Falcons

Raiders vs. Buccaneers

NFC has the advantage 10-6. I think I'm more surprised that the Lions and Cowboys represent the winning NFC teams at the top for me, than the fact that my matchups clue that the NFC is still better at this point. I still think the AFC gets a bad rap. they got some competitive teams, I think it just always looks bad for the conference when you have 3 or 4 teams at the bottom of the conference not just having bad games, but overall horrible football organizations.
