Soon... All of Equestria, and then the world! ¡Viva la Revolución! ¡Viva la Igualdad!!

This is it, the one hour finale for season 5! We all know who is returning, but what does she plan to do this time?  How will our favorite communist revolutionary change all of Equestria and remove the mane six from her, well, mane, for all time?  Will she own all the cutie marks?  :Pinkie:  :RDash:  :Flutter:  :TSparkle:  :AJ:  :Rarity:  Will she be reformed? Will she be a reoccurring villain? Will she write a little red book?  Will this be a cliffhanger and you all have to wait a half year for a conclusion?? Mwhahaha!  Tune in to find out! The episode airs Saturday 11:00 AM EST (that's a half hour early!!) on November 28th! :)<3

I've only seen the promos-and it's the darkest thing I've ever been beheld to...in a good way, of course.  But-seriously-this is the darkest "for-seven-year-olds" TV show ever.  The themes are so mature...at least most fans are over 7 :).

I know there was a Season 6 confirmed... but honestly, with the themes covered, and with the whole series coming full circle at the end

with Twilight Sparkle getting her very own friendship/magic student in Starlight Glimmer

it wouldn't have made a bad conclusion to the series overall.

In summation, a great finale to a great season!

Yeah, this finale was something. It managed a call-back to every other major event we've seen so far in the series. Also that ending...yeah it was definitely a fitting ending. I agree the series could end right here and it would be good, so I'll interested to see if the new you-know-what has more of a part to play moving forward.

10/10

Starlight Glimmer is amazing and I love her.

Now that I got that out of the way, this was a great finale. It was really dark and heavy, which was a little weird for MLP but I enjoyed it. Revisiting all of the series previous storylines was really cool. It was a wild ride and I loved it.

I give it 10/10 waifus.

Starlight Glimmer best pony.

Pretty much sums up my feelings. I loved this one. It really does have a series finale sort of feel to it. Glad it is not the end but if it were it'd at least feel like a fitting one.

Loved the alternate timelines. Each one felt both authentic and sort of like something you'd see on /mlp/, fimfiction, or even in FFA Crossover RP here. The mecha-winged Rainbow Dash was a great touch and 'stylist for the evil dictator' Rarity was perfect.

Finally watched it. Best. Episode. Yet. But-it did progress rather fast for the second part, a bit rushed if you ask me. Overall, it was a good season ended-going a whole circle from Twilight being a student to (spoiler: having a student). Loved the nice wrap-up.

Great episode! Love it when they end a season with such epicness! 11 out of 11 Tacos!

Now I wanna..

See an mini-series/movie on the ‘Sombra’ War.I loved everything about that part. The R.E.A being awesome. Celestia leading them all..And Pegasus flight armor..

I knew it! I knew Starlight was going change. I was hoping they wouldn't need to use the Elements of Harmony-- It wouldn't make sense, considering the timeline has been altered multiple times, and because that would've been the stalest way to end this season. I'm glad for Starlight Glimmer, and hope to see her more often next season.

Yeah. I don't even know if I have anything to say on this one that hasn't been said. It was just thoroughly excellent. Exceeded both my expectations and any other finale for me.

Best part was the Sombra timeline, just for some of the imagery it had. Rainbow Dash was so cool and Pinkie and Maud... that was just epic. I really loved Zecora in the Chrysalis world too though.

Slightly conflicted on Starlight since I really think what she did in the Cutie Map is pretty unforgivable. Going to have to get used to this change for sure. I do like the idea of having a new character introduced to explore and develop though.

Theorizing that one could time travel within her own lifetime, Dr. Twilight Sparkle stepped into the Starswirl Harmony Map vortex and vanished... She woke to find herself trapped in the present, facing alternate universes that were not her own and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. Her only friend on this journey is Spike, an assistant from her own time, who appears in the form of a small dragon that only Twilight pays attention to. And so Dr. Sparkle finds herself leaping from AU to AU, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that her next leap will be the leap home.

....

This was a great episode.  It was way darker than I expected, even though their 'huge war' scenes were gigantic slapfights... except for EPIC WAR DASH and the amazing ORAORAORA PIE SISTERS!  Dash was too awesome for words in the Sombra universe.  I think the rapid hurry through multiple AUs was good - the exploration of AUs was starting to get a little old for a single episode.  (but for an entire season, might have been interesting...)   And resistance leader Zecora was amazing.  Especially with her instantly sussing exactly what was going on.

Might have been better if that rush through many AUs happened with Starlight Glimmer in tow, as she kept trying to change it so that it was a decent universe.  That would have done better to convince her that this friendship was needed...

However, I rather like how it happened.  I would also have liked them simply hunting down her childhood friend and letting her say 'hi'.  And he's all, "Why didn't you ever answer my letters?" and she's all, "Uhhh..."

But all in all, really really excellent episode.  And not at all what I expected.

Before I speak about my issues with this... (There are only two. Though they're pretty BIG. It might be obvious what they are though)

Let me say this.

The episode itself was pretty AMAZING.

It did remind me of Final Fantasy 13-2. The only difference was that there was only ONE paradox whereas in FF 13-2 there were MULTIPLE.

There was even a moment where "Ruined Hometown" from FF 13-2 would have fit unbelievably. The part in Part 1 with the ruined-looking Ponyville.

So that was pretty good and I liked seeing a FF 13-2 like story in MLP: FiM form.

It was also pretty interesting to see the alternate futures where the villains won.

Then there was the Starlight vs Twilight battle which was pretty freaking good. Not as good as the Tirek vs Twilight fight but still pretty good.

Then...

There was the ending.

Which brings me to my issues with this.

1. NO PUNISHMENT. Considering that no punishment was given considering what she did... NO. JUST NO.

2. The lesson. Why? BECAUSE STUPID GLIMMER SHOULD HAVE FIGURED IT OUT FOR HERSELF. IT'S    ING COMMON SENSE. DOES COMMON SENSE NOT EXIST IN YOUR STUPID BRAIN?! :x

So... yeah...

The episode? AMAZING.

The ending? CRAP.

Which means the middle ground is..............

It was mediocre.

Since I don't know how others will take this next thing I want to say... I'm putting it in spoilers.

I don't care about Glimmer. I seriously don't. She's NOT reformed. It'd be better if I NEVER saw that ***** EVER AGAIN. Similar to my issue with Discord. The difference is I can deal with Discord. I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH GLIMMER EVER AGAIN.

I don't want to see her having an important role in the movie OR future seasons.

EVER.

The End.

No one thinks your opinions are controversial.

Sorry.

I always feel like I have to say that considering how my opinions have been viewed on other forums.

Your opinions aren't controversial here. The only vexxing thing about them is how you say they're controversial, as if your opinions by nature are more important or noteworthy than other people's opinions.
