Months after her last tour, and her old manager abandoning her, the famous singer, Countess Coloratura, or Rara as she now calls herself, has managed to keep her singing career up thanks to the help of the staff members of her previous tour that kept loyal to her. With their help, she managed to finish her last tour and even make a new one! What was it's name? She hadn't decided yet, but she knew where was going to be the first place. Ponyville!
The singer was eager not only to see the ponies that lived there, since they were the ones that saw first her new style of singing, but also her old friend Applejack, and rellay wanted to see her, and hoped she was able to see her, but her new tour was her priority right now.

After several weeks of planning, she and the members of her tour finally made the final preparations to depart to their first destination, going from the big city of Manehatten to the small town of Poyville. Several members of her staff, and she as well were really eager to go! Others were more exited for the fact that she decided to make a new tour. She decided to make this a surprise for the ponies in Ponyville, so her arrival would be a big surprise, but there were still several details they had to arrange before the actual tour really started.

First, they were missing somepony that would help with the music, as she focused mostly on singing, and most of her old songs were made with the help of magic spells made by other ponies and other machines that she was not used to control.
Second, several other ponies that might want to join her in her your. The members of her staff would always need some extra help, so more ponies joining would help, and if an artist joins, they can make a far more amazing concert!
Finally, where to go next. Her old manager used to handle all those things, but without him and lacking somepony to help organize, it was hard where to go, but she would handle that in due time, as there were more important matters right now.

The singer left her home in Manehatten to go and get her crew ready for the tour, and after some time, they left the city by train.

"Ahhh... we finally arrived~" She said with a smile as she got off the train station along with some other ponies that were carrying some boxes filled with decorations, costumes and other things they would need for the show. The first thing she would need was a pony in charge of the music. She had heard about a rather well know Dj in ponyville that might help her with this, so this was her first priority. Find that DJ and ask if she wanted to join her!
Also, she would need several other artist to perform with her, as only her might become rather repetitive and hard for her to handle all alone, as well as a chance for them to have their names know around Equestria as well.

"Getcher fresh Ponyville Apples riiight here!"

It was a rare time of year when the main market was closed for weather related repairs. It was even rarer that it was Derpy leading the weather team, but Applejack supposed there was nothing that could be done to help it. Rainbow was off in Trottingham doing her Wonderbolt things, which led to the change in leadership. That led to a mid-afternoon thunderstorm and that led to more than a hundred thunder strikes in the market. And some fires. So for a few days the whole shebang was getting repaired, which meant her afternoon sales had to take place somewhere else. And if you were looking for hoof traffic, no place was better than the train.

And so she had set up a small stall near the train. Others had similar ideas and had all day to set up, unlike Applejack who had to take care of the farm from six until noon. But still, her stall was more than ready. And so she hawked her apples, the best apples in the world, and made her bits on the busy train traffic. Bushel after bushel, singls after singles, pie after pie- she made a lotta good sales, and even started to worry if she had brought too few to the stall for the day! Hehehe, that was a good problem to have- a problem still, sure, but a good problem.

The next train pulled up. According to the schedule it was the last train of the day from Manehattan. That meant it would be the more well to do types that didn't have to be anywhere just that quickly. She checked up on her stock- a few mixed bushels, some red delicious bushels, and a fiji bushel along with six pies and a lot of singles- yeah, she'd be fine. She turned back to the train. "Getcher fresh Ponyville Apples riiight here!" she began, grabbing a fresh apple and turning to see-

"Rara!?"

It was not usual for Nocturne Melody to venture out in the day time. The sunlight was a little hard on her Aerion eyes that pulled in more light than other pony species. Besides that, Nocturne was used to her routine at night, not caring that many of the shops were closed and many of the ponies were asleep while she was awake. But curiosity sometimes got the best of her, especially in exploring places beyond the city streets of Canterlot. There was always a risk, as it wasn't often that ponies like her were seen. What if ponies in Ponyville, her destination, were unkind to the way she looked? Canterlot was at least tolerant, but there was always that unknown.

She found herself strolling through the marketplace on the town, taking in the sights, sounds and yes even tastes of the local farms and businesses. Yet while she was visiting, she couldn't help but to sing. To her singing was a way to dispel her nerves and make her happy, but more importantly it was her talent, and she wasn't going to hide that. So she sung the chorus of one of her favorite songs in her haunting melodic tone, hearing the piano and the background voices in her mind:

"I am losing balance
Of body and mind:
Such a strange alliance
Sometimes...
To this blandness
I'll be finally blind
And I will see...
From the ashes of the real
To the blazes of my will
Glimpse the unthinkable!"

Vinyls day, however, had mostly started off relatively unspectacularly - after a casual breakfast of fruity oat clusters, the mare had consulted her barely-legible list of things she was planning to be a part of during the week...and, for the most part, had turned up not an awful lot. It was one of those rare weeks where she was more looking for shows to attend rather than just being approached by those in need of a musical mare for their needs - it wasn't that she'd lacked anything as of late, she had attended quite a few l'il shindigs and events recently, but every so often it wound up her having to make a few rounds at places that might be in need of a quick burst of musical mare magic for their party pony pleasing requirements.

Afterall, a mare has to eat an' ya gotta be makin' the bits inbetween the tours and the more largely known festivals, right?

Since there wasn't any of the former going on, and she wasn't really aware if any of the latter were taking place anytime soon, she was just gonna have to take a looksie around and find some things to be a part of in casual partaking...and fortunately, there was usually an opportunity in clubs, bars and other l'il party locations that would require a DJ like her to properly amp up a crowd and to manage the subtle nuances of some of the more enhanced musical elements.

Her plan of attack for the week was to check out various locations via train over the course of the next few days to find such an opportunity - a party or event that would require her...whether or not it was for one night, a few days, a week or whatever, the unicorn known as DJ Pon3 was planning to ensure that her availability to those who would potentially snag her for their whatevers. Since she had more or less already gotten an idea of the current scope of Ponyvilles party participation, she needed to get out and about to the next best location for the start of her search - and that meant hittin' up the train to Canterlot for a daytrip...or at least, that was the plan.

At any rate, Vinyl was at the station awaiting the next train - the DJ not exactly inconspicuous in her presence, either!

Ah, Ponyville... a small and friendly town that Dawn Whisper knew quite well. It was small and friendly, compared to some of the much larger cities he had stayed at. More than once, he had the pleasure of performing there, so he was known well enough. Of course, he was not there to simply enjoy the pleasures of a familiar and friendly town. A few days prior, he had released his third album... something that took well over three years to fully complete. In all actuality, he was out looking for a good opportunity to advertise this new album of his. He had spent the last two days looking for opportunities aside from the usual show at a concert... what he was looking for was a chance to start up another tour.

And so after a short and not-so-filling breakfast, the younger stallion decided to take a stroll around the small town. Usually, Dawn was not the biggest fan of showing himself in public, given his popularity. He loved his fans, but he didn't exactly care for getting smothered on the streets. Another reason why he liked Ponyville: the residents were more respectful of his personal space. Most ponies who recognized him would smile and wave, while the more adventurous ones would approach him and kindly ask for his autograph.

It didn't take long at all for him to come across the Ponyville Marketplace, figuring it would probably be best to buy some food for the trip back to Canterlot. It was then that his eye was caught by a stall cart selling apple products, obviously from Sweet Apple Acres. As if on cue, his stomach growled rather loudly, reminding him of how small his breakfast of oats had been. He had heard rumors of just how good the apples from Sweet Apple Acres were, but never actually had the pleasure to try it himself. With a slight blush on his cheeks, he approached the stand that was currently being occupied by Applejack. He had heard of her, but never actually met her. Come to think of it, he never actually became well acquainted with anyone in Ponyville...

"Um... excuse me, miss? I'd like to--"  He stopped suddenly when he noticed that Applejack was currently addressing another pony, and he instinctively slunk back a little, hoping he didn't interrupt anything.

Rara was happy to be here. As soon as she walked down the train, she started hearing the noises of the town that saw her career change. The smell of fresh food and clean air, something rather hard to smell in the big cities, was something she really missed. Also, most of the ponies in this small town were rather calm and generous compared to the ones on the other cities. Most of them, just as soon she stepped off the train, swarmed her over hastily, making her movement practically a nightmare, but in here it was not like that. Several ponies walking by recognized her and walked over to her to ask her for an autograph, other simply waved over to her and walked on their way. Truly quite the change.

At first, she saw a white pony with a rather odd yet interesting sunglasses in her head, a cutie mark of two bridged eight notes, white fur and blue mane and tail, though the singer didn't recognized who it was. She smiled and walked over to that mare to ask her about that dj she had heard so much about.
"Excuse me, do yo know wh-" she started to say, just to be interrupted by the voice of a pony she knew rally well. She turned around and smiled after seeing that mare. That orange mare with the hat she always recognized.

"Applejack!" She said happily as she let Vinyl and walked over happily to her friend. As she walked, she couldn't help but hear a mare singing at the distance, but couldn't recognize who it was or where she was, but still, she had quite the voice. Perhaps she could look for her later. Right now, she had to address her old friend first.

Once she was close to AJ, she smiled and gave her a hug. "I am so happy to see you again!" She said smiling after the hug. She was indeed really happy. She hadn't seen her since her last tour, when Sevengallop.... she tried not to remember him and just focus on her friend. She also saw another pony that wished to speak with her, so she gestured him to wait for a bit while she talked to her old friend

Applejack embraced Rara in a heart hug, squeezing one of Equestria's premiere pop stars extra tight with affection. It was rare that you got to meet back up with a foalhood friend you had lost contact with, but it was another thing entirely to reconnect the way did. There had been a monumental misstep or two along the way and it all revolved around a disreputable stallion named Svengallop, but here they were now, friends, almost as if they had never fallen out of contact. It was wonderful in every possible way. Now Applejack just wanted to make sure that had that connection and kept it and never allow it to fall ito disrepair again.

"Rara, what brings you here ta Ponyville? Ah thought you were workin' on some new music or somesuch in tha big city," Applejack asked with a smile, walking towards her stand. Rara was a mare of incomparble talents, something that could be spoken for easily by the variety of music she made that Applejack didn't much like still finding time to produce works of musical art with regularity that sent Applejack's heart soaring. Who could do that? Only Rara could. Other artists were confined, but she could do anything she set her mind too. THAT was magical indeed. "Come on over and get yerself some nice apples. Needin' inspiration for a nice western or two?" She asked with a chortle, arriving back at her cart.

There was a stallion who looked mighty shy, having retreated back into whatever shell he had, like Fluttershy back in the day. Poor pony, she didn't know what it was like to be that shy but she figured it was awful. "Sorry about that Sugarcube. What can Ah do ya for?"

Dawn sighed and waited patiently for the two to finish chatting. From what it looked like, the two seemed to know each other very well, and the younger stallion was half tempted to trot away and leave the two at it. However before he could slink away, the peach-colored pony suddenly addressed him. Instinctively, Dawn smiled and cautiously stepped forward. "Good afternoon, ma'am." He said, browsing the display for a moment. The apple pies did indeed look nice... He looked up for a moment, and curiously enough, he almost immediately recognized the pony that Applejack had been speaking to. "Oh! Countess Coloratura!" He said excitedly, before clearing his throat and regaining his composure. He was quite sure she had never heard of him, which made sense for the style of music she made. However, he did enjoy her music, so it made sense that sense that he was quite excited and if a bit surprised to to see her in a small town like Ponyville. "S-sorry... I like your music." He chuckled nervously and blushed, before turning back to the peach-colored pony. "I'd like to buy an apple pie, please. I've never actually tried anything from Sweet Apple Acres."

As the song ended and she opened her eyes, Nocturne Melody felt a little bit calmer. But a familiar face in the distance at one of the many stalls brought some of the nerves. Was that Countess Coloratura? Even though Nocturne was by no means a pop singer, she did like the Countess's ballads and voice and admittedly was a little jealous. But did she hear that the Countess retired or was it that she was taking a break from touring? The Aerion couldn't remember.

A rumbling in her stomach meant time for lunch, and maybe a great way to meet the Countess! The Aerion trotted over to the stall, finding the pop pony conversing with the stall owner like the two were best friends! But there was another pony there, a stallion who by the looks of him and his cutie mark was in music too! Was he a fellow metal singer?

"Uh..." Nocturne said for once at a loss of words, "Hello everypony! Oh, hello Countess Colortura. I'm a big fan of your music, it helped inspire me to keep singing. Oh, hello there to you as well. You're a singer too, aren't you? Just guessing by your microphone cutie mark."

Nocturne realized that she almost neglected the owner of the stall, her stomach whining loudly as if to remind her.

"Ehhh... that was awkward," Nocturne said as her blue face turned red and she bared her fangs for a moment before lessening her smile, "Nice to meet you as well."

Candles wandered the streets of Ponyville, carrying the delicate costume in her hooves.

Three weeks ago, she had received a letter for a commission.  For Countess Coloratura.  COUNTESS COLORATURA!  She hadn't believed her eyes when she first recieved the letter, her energy increasing in extramendous amounts by each mounting second.  She had been commissioned a dress for the upcoming 'combined powers tour', and she had gotten to work immediately on the dress.  The result:

"A sequined piece of magic~  A sleeveless sparkling pink top, lined with silk to assure comfort in performance.  The top was connected via a thin, long strap at the back to the skirt.  Comprised on layering semi-transparent fabric in a gradient from the hot pink of the top to a soothing violet purple, the skirt was a treasure to behold.  A harsh layer of wire and mesh fabric domed over the layers of fabric, sequins trampling the entire outfit to reflect the stage lights.  The area of the Countess' cutie mark held no fabric or colour, but rather several layers of clear mesh that gradient in from the layered fabric.  Mesh wire crossed the cutie mark area, like a tile game."

She had brought with her as well a headpiece-a small, magnetic crown that sparkled with the sheen of metal and diamond.  As she wandered the streets, she began searching for the Countess' troupe.  It was proving a lot harder than she had expected, the streets crowded a bit more than the last time she had visited Ponyville.  She took a deep breath and headed for the Ponyville Marketplace, hoping to catch the Countess there.

Indeed she was right-for she saw the Countess standing nearby an apple stall, chatting with Applejack.  Candles rushed towards the gathering group, most willing to donate the heavy costume over to some other pony.
