UNITS: DELTA-116.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT: SOL NOVA (Classified: Corp Nova is an highly decorated Mark-4 despite long rank, use mission to evaluate skills for promotion)

MISSION OBJECTIVE: Outskirts is where an old abandoned ONI research facility from the Covernment war designated 'Firestorm'. Facility is known to have CLASSIFIED data within its computer database, which must be recovered. Local rumour speculates 'Firestorm' might also be a holding base for the remains of Covernment forces under covernment leader Ju'l. Removal of all hostile and sympathic units is a secondary objective, to be completed once data from local drives is secured. Mission Objective 3 is the search for any and all UNSC forces, as 'Firestorm' is believed to currently serve as a interrogation location, however this objective is to only be implemented IF traces of UNSC is evident.

FIRESTORM: Research 'Firestorm' is a large pentagon shaped building with 20 floors above ground, as well as 20 levels underground. Objective one information will be in Floor 15 above ground in the Central Control, as well as the bottom floor (-20).

INFILTRATION: UNSC forced have offered to provide a distraction by having a parade in a nearby local town, which will draw the attention of the Coverment forces. Infiltration point TBD by Spartan's on mission.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The UNSC had dropped the Spartan's in the rocks close to the Firestorm base, the town with a parade within sight. After being given access to almost any UNSC weapon, they'd be deployed outside of radar range. It is up to the Spartan's to choose how to infiltrate Research base 'Firestorm'. Stealth will slow things down, however till reduce in less conflict and could assist with a mission objectives. Going guns blazing is also an option but expect heavy resistance and risk losing several mission objectives. The choice is up to you.

Sky looked around, staring around his surroundings. He was a odd K or two away from the objective, any closer and they might have been found. He sighs, magnifying his visor to see his target. He had to infiltrate a base. A twenty high and low building was there, and he had no idea what was inside. He grabbed the bag off his back, throwing it onto the ground, and opening it. Inside was all his gear, which he had put in the bag for keeping until he had landed. He already four combat knives on him, and he had one magnum, inside the bag, he pulled out his second magnum. He then pulled out a assault rifle, which the barrel had a supressor on. He really hoped that he didn't need to use it much, that would make this harder. He checked its ammo, and then put it on the ground. He had another weapon in there, though he left it in for now. He put the bag on his back, inside a disassembled sniper was tightly packed  so to not make much noise, along with some spare ammo if he needed it.

He picked up the rifle, standing straight and looking out at the objective. He knew this was going to be hard, and he knew it would be harder with the light. He looked over to the spartan that was assigned to this OP with him. Sol Nova. Sky didn't know much about her, and that make him worry a little, though he was sure that she knew what she was doing. Sky's mind started to race, he knew he needed to be ready to do this, and like always, he had to swallow any and all hesitation.

He had read the briefing on the way here, and he had been slightly worried about it. Seemed a little dangerous, though he hoped that the UNSC marines could get enough of their attention away so that they could at least slip in undetected. He wished he knew where the alarms were, if they were taken out it might make thigns easier, but he knew he had to act as it came.

"Hey, Nova, lets try and do this quietly. Our main priority is the information, but if we can, we need to see if any UNSC are in here" Sky says to his companion before looking over towards where they were going. He stood patiently, waiting for Nova to be ready also.

Sol was loading her gas canister into her small flame thrower. She was silently humming in her mind for a while as she got herself ready for work. Hopping down and landing on the ground next to the lieutenant, she peered around. They were a good distance away. That was nice.

He spoke to her and she stopped her cheery soft humming. Going silent until he finnished.

"Yes sir." She said in her chipper tone. She didn't say anymore, vouching to be respectful since she didn't know him all that well.

Sky shivered a little when he was addressed so... formally. He was so used to not really working with others, and when he did they rarely really called each other 'sir'. Normally it would be a code name, seems like today that was not happening. He looked towards the objective, then back to Nova, then he started to jog towards the base, keeping a decent speed and making sure to keep quiet. All his equipment was positioned to make the least noise while he moved, and it seemed to be working.

It took around thirty minutes for them to make it to the outskirts of the base, and as they got closer Sky slowed down, moving to a slow walk, keeping quiet and making sure he didn't step on something that would make to much noise. He moved up to a bush that was still a fair bit away from the base, but they were close enough for him to make out shapes, and up close this place looked bigger then he had thought.

Well thats what happens when you infiltrate a fourty floored building

All jogged with him. Her flamethrower on her back and her other weapons secured. She wasn't sure why she was chosen to go on a stealth mission as her place was more out in front. Setting things ablaze with the flick of a switch and a toss of a well placed grenade. She absolutely adores the flame. Loving it so much as to find things making the transition from whole, to ash was just so.... Captivating.

Sol was stable in the mind, able to do tasks asked of her with deadly efficiency. Though stealth was her weakest preformance. Her armor was painted brightly, like the colors of the element she loved so dearly. It was alive, bold and free! It filled her with excitement! Stealth was... Cold, collective and calculated. Slow moving. Her nose scrunched under her helmet as they slowed and now entering stealth.

She knelt down in the bush behind her commanding officer. Keeping her mouth shut and peering around. "So much to burn..... So much to start anew..... Covies always make the best dances in the flame." She thought.

Inhaling and exhaling she collected herself and went quiet. Waiting for orders.

Sky looks around, zooming his visor in so he can look around. From where he could, he saw a sewer entrance, and a side door. His own guess was that the sewer would get them to the lower levels easier, but it would be easier to remain undetected. The side door... He was hoping it would lead up to the upper floors, and remembering back to the briefing, he knew that first up, they were heading for floor 15 above ground.

He scanned around, noticing a few guards here and there, though he did not know how many they were potentially up against. Begging that this was a light mission, he gripped his rifle.

"Nova, see the side door, thats our way in. Im guessing it will take us to our objective faster. Our other option would be to scale the wall until we hit the fifteenth floor" He says, looking at the building. He didn't exactly have gear to do that with, but he could probably do it... How quiet it would be, he had no idea.

Sol looked at the side door with silence she gripped her magnum and gave a nod. "Affirmative." She said as she kept the respect at a maximum.

((Sorry I'm stuck at work and this is all I can put))

(Its fine)

Sky looked at the door, then to Nova. Using gestures he said to move slowly towards the door, wanting to stay silent now as this was the point that sound might mess them up a bit. He moved slowly, making sure to stay in the bushes, and having his rifle kept elevated, his eyes scanning for constant threats.

The Side Door bursts open, 3 humans armed in what seems to be UNSC Marine Infantry equipment walking out, all armed with Ma5 Assault Rifles. The Trio are laughing to eachother, nodding their head as they lean on a rail close to the door, igniting their cigerates and starting what appears to be a 'smoke break'.

"So whens the Co say we're headed in?" one asks which is promptly replid with a shrugs back.

"She ain't telling me nothing. All I know is they're continuing as planned, whatever the hell that means..."

"You guys are too stressed..." mutters the third "We're out here in the middle of nowhere, UNSC ain't gunna find us till its too late. When they do, they'll understand our cry for freedom..." says the third, quietly, but loud enough for the mics on the Spartan's to pick up. The door itself is hanging open behind the humans in UNS equipment, a seemingly afterthought from the Insurrectionists.

Within the doorway are several corridors, along most of them are high level cell doors. Most of these doors are either forced open, missing or destroyed. Inside the cells, some of them holding nothing, others holding piles of corpses, a mixture of all different races thrown together. At the far end of the main corridor which would be seen from entering the door, was a de-commissioned Elevator, it's door wide open with the number '1' next to it. The elevator was no where to be seen inside the door, however the metal ropes still hang, giving anyone with the right strength to haul themselves up, if they wished to chance the ropes not breaking on them. Right next to the elevator shaft, stairs sat silently, a small light mid-way up them.

Sol halted for a moment when she saw the humans. They were not unsc. She frowned behind her visor as she watched them speak. They were in the way of their entrance.

Part of her wanted to lob a fire bomb but she held back the urge and simply waited for orders.

When Sky saw the three coming out, he halted instantly, standing still as he watched them. He could hear through his mic exactly what they were saying. Cry for freedom? CO? These guys may be rebels, but they seemed to have military training, and judging by the UNSC gear. He zoomed his visor up, scanning the weapons. Loaded with thirty rounds in a mag, and a fast fire rate. Military grade gear. He looked at them, taking pictures of them with his helmet. If he got out quietly, they might help find out who these guys really are.

He looked at Nova, then the three guards. He didn't want to start a alarm, and he was guessing that these three were going to have to check in sooner or later, and if no response came, hell would break loose in there.

"Wait for five, if they aren't gone by then we take them out, silently"

Sol awaited orders and when they came she nodded and sat down in the bush they were near. She checked her weapons and made sure that they were all in good condition, well oiled, not a single scratch on them.

Putting her weapons away she sighed and pulled out a lighter where she covered with her hand to hide the flame and struck up the fire. Watching it dance in the seclusion.

After a few minutes, the Marines moved, discarding their ciggies and moving back towards the door, before pausing. One of the marines had their hand to their ear, as if listening to someone from it...Eventually, he moved it away, a small smile on his face "Good news boys..."

The two other Marines frowned at their friend who simply said "It's playtime" getting an excited look from the largest of the 'marines', a sadistic look in his eyes as they headed back through the door, closing it, but not specifically looking it, behind them, before heading into the facility and out of sight.

Sky watched them leave, hearing what they said. Something was up, he didn't like it much.... He looked at Nova, then to the door. Well, now was a good as time as any. He raised his rifle, preparing to move next to the door.

"Lets move up, stack up on the door, we breach once we are there"

He says, then starts to move up towards the door.

He watched as she readied his magnum, and moved up to the door. He moved to the other side, his rifle ready. He aimed it at the door, crouching so that he had a more steady shooting position. He checked his visor, his rifle had a full thirty two bullets in the mag. He did a quick scan of his weapon, jam chance was extremely low, so that was good. He didn't like firing a gun, but that was when he worked alone. Right now, he wasn't, and he hoped it would be easier with two people shooting then one taking out a group with a knife.

"Breach in three, two, one, go"

Sky kept his rifle level as she opened the door, moving in once it was open, and scanning the room. It was clear, he lowered his rifle, looking around. They are now in the facility. He looked around, noticing two ways to proceed, a staircase, and a elevator. He knew that the stare case was quieter, but.. Well, he knew people would be coming down it. The elevator had no elevator, but the metal ropes were still there. Sky runs over to it, looking up, and down.

"Well, looks like its time to climb.... See you in there partner, good luck" He says, taking the bag off his back and putting the assault rifle in it. He didn't want to risk it falling, not only would that make for a bad bit of evidence if found, since it was his own personal rifle, if this turned into hell, he wanted a fast firing gun that he could spray with if needed. Personally, he was a lot more comfortable in there faces, dogging the bullets and fighting hand to hand, but fire fights worked to.

Once the gun was secured in the bag, he made sure that his knives and pistols wouldn't fall off, then, taking a few steps back, sprinted towards the lift, jumping straight in, and catching hold of a rope.

Sol peered around for a moment or two before putting her weapon away. It was sad how the baddies didn't decide to stick around for a shot to the face. Exhaling, she walked to the elevator shaft with him.

Looking over the cables she hummed. He then lept for the cable and grabbed it. Leaving her to play monkey see monkey do. Backing up some and then running forward to leap at the cable.

Reaching out she grabbed it and grunted as she swung slightly just before the wire became taught and she was tossed with the velocity. Losing her grip and then falling with a Yelp.

She hit the wall and tumbled down with hard hits to her arms and legs as she tumbled just before she reached out and grabbed the wall. Momentum yanking her down and fighting her handhold she slammed against the wall with a echoing crunch.

"Nnngh!" She grunted and suddenly blushed at how foolish she just looked then. She looked down and saw how much further she could have plummeted. Then looking back up at her CO. "Probably laughing his ass off right now." She thought with embarrisement burning a hole through her.

Swinging her other arm up, she grabbed the ledge and then placed her feet on the wall. Gaining grip, she peered over her shoulder just before jumping to the cable and grabbing it. This time not slipping.

She then began her recollection of her lost altitude and caught up to Sky. Not looking at him at all as if she did she would probably lose her grip again and fall once more. Her blush stayed on her face as they climbed, only her soft grunts echoed in the chamber now.

"Probably blew all the stealth. Once again, let's have the most loudest and mentally unstable Spartan with the fire armor go in for stealth! What a joke." She thought before giving a sigh.

Once he had hit the rope, he was quick to get a solid grip on it, slipping down oddly a meter before he stopped, then, he started hauling himself up, looking down as he heard footsteps starting to move. He was guessing that Nova was going for the wire. He watched, and winced when he saw the result. He watched as she fell, creating quite a racket as she fell a fair way down. He couldn't help but laugh softly, but he knew that other problems had arrised other then some bruises for her. He waited for her to catch up before climbing up further. He kept his attention on the rope while he climbed, not wanting to fall and create more noise. If they weren't found yet, he didn't want to push any luck.

"Loud enough?" He jokes, continuing to climb.

Despite the noise made by Nova's attempted to grab onto the elevator wire, there was no additional noise in response. Almost as if there was no one there to hear them, despite the noise having echo'd up and down the elevator and, presumably, to each level as a result. But after the noise settled, only silence replaced it.

After not even a minute of climbing, the Wire that Sky had been holding onto snapped, somewhere higher up, the Spartan plummeted down for as many levels before he would grab onto something, but the only secure that would take his weight for certain would be the floor entrances, some of which were closed behind doors, others broken down, and others open. A Firebase in dis-repear. If the Spartan fell all the way to the bottom, to Floor -20, where the second Objective of Classifed information lay, he would find a corridor painted in blood with corpes of humans lining the walls, and all manner of wounds on the bodies.

Sky felt somehting wrong, then, he suddenly felt the line snap, and he instantly started to plummet downwards. He looked around for a ledge, something to grab, but there wasn't much he COULD grab. As he fell, he grabbed onto the bottom of the other wires that were there, but due to his speed, all he did was create a eire grinding sound, and slow himself down slightly, though not enough to stop the fall. He turned over, noticing the bottom of the shaft below him closing in fast!!!

He quickly punched the wall closest to him as hard as he could, his fist creating a dent, and he kept falling as his fist continued to dent the wall. He followed up by digging his other hand, and both his boots into the wall, slowing himself down as much as he could. He managed to hold himself there for a few seconds, before he slipped backwards, falling the rest of the way. As he reached the ground, he braced himself, landing hard with one knee dug in the ground, a fist in the ground, and the other foot creating a dent. He groaned a little, watching as his shields flickered a bit. That was quite a fall.

He looked around, and behind where he had landed was a corridor... What was in the corridor shocked him. He looked at the remains of dozens of human bodies, some of the wounds that were inflicted here looked.... brutal. He quickly pulled the bag around his shoulder, pulling out his rifle before swinging the bag back to his back. He raised his rifle, starting to treek through the corridor.

"Nova, you alright?"

Sol doesn't reapond to his words and kept climbing. Hand over hand, shimmy after shimmy. She kept her focus on getting up to where they needed to be.

Suddenly his cable snapped! She gave a gasp and brace as he fell past and looked down as he fought Gravity's foul grip. He made progress and slowed himself but he hit the bottom with so much ruckus that the whole building would have heard. Heck they already heard her from her fall!

When he called out she loostens her grip on the cable and slid down.  After some time she landed beside him and patted his back to get rid of some of the dust and to give him a reassuring touch. What she saw next however made her take a double take.

Cuts, broken bones and such lay everywhere. A type of death which was brutish and uncalculated. She sighed and pulled out her magnum. Ready to go.

Sky heard Nova landing behind him, and he her patting his back. It was nice she cared. He kept his rifle aimed, walking down the corridor, his mind racing. This was disgusting, so many bodies, all strung up like.... decoration. He couldn't believe that anyone would do this, even Covenant didn't do this, from what he had seen, only one thing did this, and it had been wiped out.

"Keep an eye out, if these guys are doing this, then this got a whole lot more interesting. Changing objective to second intel collection. Were at the bottom of this thing, so lets work our way up"

He keeps walking down the corridor, rifle aimed straight, his eyes scanning the whole room. He really had a bad feeling about this.

As the Pair of Spartan's walked the halls, the way in which the bodies hung became more and more brutal. Limbs removed, the blood used to make symbols on the fall, chests torn open completely, a bloody feisty, a psychopath's dream. As the pair continued in deeper, the path splits into a left and a right. The Comand Centre, marked by a sign, appears on the left. The computers within the room, all while coated in blood from the humans in the room, were fully operational and seemed to contain the required data. All it would take is a few buttons and a few minutes of waiting for the files to upload to their suits.

The left route however, was wrong. The bodies became more and more mutilated, torn apart and hacked to pieces streaming all the way down. And, all the way at the end, if the Spartan's listened carefully, the sound of mechanical cranking, followed by very real, very human, screams. Screams of agony, coming from within someone. Whoever was screaming, they were in agony.
