Sol winced as the male was shot. She whipped around and her eyes dialated as she saw the female with the rocket launcher! She couldn't have been human, the way she sounded, looked and acted was strange. She drew a flame grenade and was about to throw it when she was shot!!

Sky had dove out of the way it seemed which was smart, sol was lucky that the rocket didn't fire off or else she would have surely been dead. Holding her wounded side she stood fully

Her hand relaxed on her grenade as a Odst came out. Asking if they were the one who unlocked the security. Sol put her grenade away and pulled out a Medical pack. She walked over with a wince of her own pain, opening the pack. "Want some medical help?" She asked.

Peering over at Sky she nodded. "I'm okay sir." She said to him respectfully.

The ODST only snorted at Sky at his comment about going through hell. He had no IDEA what she'd gone through the months trapped in this hell, the pain she'd been forced to suffer while keeping her secret hidden. But she kept her mouth shut, right now these Spartans were her only way off this rock, and like hell she'd not do it! She watched carefully as the other Spartan, who appeared to be wounded, approached her.

"Fix yourself first" she said simply at the firey Spartan, taking a deep breath as she looked over at her right arm her good arm, bloodied to hell. and unusable. She let out a frustraded groan, right now he fate lied in the hands of Spartans...As much as she hated that reality, that's what it was, a reality about what has to happen.

She looked back at the 'commander' Spartan, there was only one reason they'd be here and send Spartans...

"The data, it ain't here...My team was originally sent here with the same orders, grab the data and leave...I managed to grab it, hide it in a private network I created years ago...." she let out a sigh "You get me out of here, I give you the data location. Deal? Spartan"

Her voice, as she said Spartan, sounded vemonus almost, as if she loathed the word with every inch of her being, which was right, she did. She hated Spartans, hated what they represented to Humanity when it was a false reality...

Sky didn't take to much notice when Nova said she was fine, despite the sound of pain in her voice. She was a spartan, the pain might have just been from getting hit by something, though he didn't expect her to have been shot. He noticed that when he heard the ODST say look after yourself. He looked at Nova, noticing her stomach. He was quick to jump as high as he could, using all his strength to leap up, grabbing a hold of the railing and lifting himself over so he hwas on the same level as the others.

"Nova patch that wound, i don't need you bleeding out, I'l help the ODST out" He said to her, his voice worried. He really didn't want to have to take someone back in a body bag, it was the worst feeling he had ever had.

He walked over to her, putting the bag, which he still had on, onto the ground. He reached in, pulling out a med kit, and some biofoam. He looked at the ODST, When she told him about the data, he sighed. He should have known that this was a little easy. He then heard how she said the word 'spartan' like they were devils or somehting. He winced at that, having once been a ODST, despite most not knowing, he knew why they were thought of like that, though it still didn't make sense.

"Don't worry, il get you out of here. I have orders to evac any and all UNSC personal found in the facility. And besides, no man left behind. Let me patch you up best i can. You still combat able Nova?" He calls out, wanting to know if he had to protect two or one person. If it was two, he might need to find a different way out then the front door, at least for these two.

Sol lowered her pack when the Odst said that she didn't need help. She gave a small sigh and glanced to Sky as she was told to fix herself.only nodding and walking off to the sidelines to work.

After some time she had gotten her chest piece off and her helmet. Her bright orange eyes shining and her flame orange hair as bright as her favorite element glew in the faint light. She set to work on getting the bullet out. However.... She found it had gone through!! Resting between her skin and the back armor piece she wore! That was lucky indeed.

She didn't hear the conversation going on as she cleaned, carturized and sealed her wound with her super heated knife and first aid supplies.

The female was setting out on putting her armor back together when she was asked if she was combat able. "Yes sir." She said as she secured the bullet and tossed it. She set her armor back on over her skintight armor suit and sealed it.

Standing with a small sigh, she put her helmet back on and with a click, the shields went back up.

The ODST nodded her head, while it wouldn't be able to fix her wounds, the stims within a field medic kit would at least let her fight until they got out of this infestating pit. She let the Spartan apply the Bio-foam, but she took several painkiller stimulants along with adrenaline to keep herself going. Despite the pain of injecting herself, she'd rather she did it then some Spartan. In her own medical situation, she didn't notice Sol patching herself up until she'd finished herself, before glancing over at the girl, and her firey hair and eyes. It seemed almost funny, that the pyro who set off every alarm in the base had such hair.

"The info's at a local hotspot at a MAC fuel line, been abandoned since the planet was glassed. Access the data..." she reached into a pocket on her uniform, offering the partan a datapad "This'll get you access...I just hope you know what you're recovering..."

Once she was patched up, or as patched up as she was going to get, she walked over to the corpse of the women she'd shot, before visibly freezing.

"Oh....this is an issue..." she mutters before glancing over her shoulder at the Spartan "So it looks like most of the forces from this base are in a local town, with orders to kill...everything....That includes civilians..."

Sky took the datapad, putting it in the hard case on his leg. He didn't need it to be damaged, and that was probably going to be the safest place. He Didn't have any supplies left, well, any that would make a difference. He threw the biofoam away, and left the medkit here. There was nothing left in the bag except for a bit of ammo strapped to the inside, and a spare scope. He pulled out the scope before putting the bag on his back, picking up the descoped sniper. He attached the new scope, then walked over to the ODST, looking over to Nova. He really hoped she was alright. That was when he heard the ODST talk about the civilians in trouble.

"Dammit... We can't leave that village.... I don't want you getting killed, but its your call. Il call for a evac for you to get out of here. Nova, contact the command, tell them the situation." asked, looking over to Nova straight after saying that.

Sol looked to the others as they spoke. Listening into the conversation as it went on. She checked herself and her things before wincing at the pain in her side. It wouldn't be a problem if she was smart about not getting blasted.

Sighing, she rubbed her side for a second or two. That's when she heard the orders. Giving a nod she pulled up coms. Walking away a bit and contacting command. She gave a situational report and soon was off the Coms in no time.

"Medical evacuation is on the way for her." She said before glancing to Sky. "I am still able to fight. Lead the way commander." She said to him. If he could see under her mask she was smiling.

"Attention Spartan Team, this is High Command. Medi-val is on its way, rally on the roof for extraction. A pelican will pick your team up and deliever you to Rally Point Charlie. We have forces on standby to assist with the assault for the town" said a voice over the Radio, before switching off.

When the Spartans arrive on the roof, 3 Pelicans would be there. One would have 2 marines along with several medical staff, which the ODST was brought to and taken off before she could even protest. Despite the UNSC carrier in the air, the Pelican headed south away from the town and carrier.

The remaining two Pelicans, one of them was full of ODST's, the other with Marines. Thankfully there was room on the ODST Pelican for the Spartans, and once they were aboard, it took off.

At Rally Point Charlie, Storm Scout would be waiting along with a several teams of Marines, the Pelicans dropping off the Spartans along with the additional marines and ODST's. It was all the UNSC could deploy in a short time to liberate the town. The Spartans would have orders over the ground troops, with orders to simply remove all elements of hostile forces, which are Confirmed as Humans in old UNSC gear as well as several Elites heavily armed with Plasma weaponary.

Sky hurried the two to the roof, and once they hit it, he watched as the ODST was taken onto a pelican, and taken away. He sighed, hoping she would be alright. He then looked at Nova, then with her, moved onto another of the pelicans.

Once they hit ground, he noticed the marines and ODST's around the place. Seemed they had a couple squads. He wondered how they could do this right, looking around. He knew that in a open firefight they would win, but there was to many civillians around to do that, they were somewhere here.

"Nova, you able to lead the main fight? We need to free the civllians, but we don't know where they are, if they are here. My best idea is that you lead most of the forces, trying to keep their attention while i move around with one or two ODST's, trying to sneak and find targets... Any ideas? Im glad to hear them if you have a plan"

Nova looked to sky as he spoke to her. He wanted her to lead the assult? She looked around at the army she had in the palm of her hand. After a bit she nodded. "I can try my best sir. Though I hope I don't get myself killed in the process." She said to him.

"Don't worry, just stick to cover, use a rifle and stay safe. The ODST's will be with you, most of them, so you should be all good. Just try to keep the marines alive. If you need back up, say the word and il flank, but until then, we need to save the civilians, and there probably in their homes with people trying to kill them, remember what the ODST we saved said, orders to kill EVERYONE"

Sky said to her, then walked into the pelican which the ODST's came from. Once in, he looked around, finding a DMR. He grabbed it, leaving his de scoped sniper behind, it would be useful, but not right now. He needed to be quick. He walked back out, then looked at the ODST;s, and marines.

"Do your best to take out these guys, Corporal Nova is leading the charge. Keep yourselves safe. We need to find those Civilians, thats going to be top priority. Stick to cover, watch each others back, we will make it through this. Hoora!" He calls out, hoping to raise moral as much as he could. This would be a hard fight, and he really wanted them to not worry to much.

Nova nodded and sighed as she was given the reigns. She looked around and began to call out different aspects of squad . She moved around and began assign roles. She turned and saluted. She was ready to go

Sky watched as she started to give orders, and getting everything ready. He sighed, looking around. He had his two side arms, knives and a DMR, he was loaded enough to last for the time. He turned, putting the DMR on his back and starting to run into the village. After a bit, he moved around, but he quickly noticed something was wrong. He couldn't see any hostile soldiers, or anything alive.

"Nova, something isn't right. The streets are empty..." He was about to continue talking, but as he went around a corner, he noticed something that made his stomach turn. There was around ten slaughtered civilians, all still bleeding, and each had a massive hole in them, along with what looked like rusted iron sticking through them, and from what Sky could see, they were alive through all of it until their necks had been cut.

"They have already slaughtered the civs.... Iv seen no soldiers yet, move through the town with caution, im going to move closer to the town square"

Sol moved her squad along and saw the dead bodies. She scrunched her nose. Yet more death caused by something as crude as impaled metal. Such a waste.

She motioned to her squad to move with her down one of the side roads. She aimed her flame thrower around a bit just before clicking her tongue.

With quick boots she led her squad into a building and stopped. "Three of you take your marksman weapons and head up to the top floor of this building here. Set up a sniper nest and fortify more of the cover for our team." She said.

Three of them saluted and headed up to the designated area. She motioned for rest of the squad to follow her. She stepped out and looked around at the empty city.

"In position." The marksman called on the coms. She gave a nod and began moving down the Main Street slowly. "Keep your eyes open and move cautiously." She ordered her troops as they moved.

Sky walks into the town square, looking around. The place still seemed empty, and it seemed really... unsettling. He didn't like this. He pulled his DMR off his back, keeping it raised as he scanned the town square.

"Nova, im in town square. Nothing is here from what i can see..... Bring the teams you brought to the centre. Something isn't right about this place"

[Sorry it's late guys. I'm trying to keep up.]

The green light had come in to mobilise. Reinforcement was allocated to break this forewarned terrorist offensive, with marines, shock troopers and an additional Spartan assigned to the response.

The Spartan had stood with the other soldiers biding his time in silence. Whatever the asset of interest was in this situation, it was apparently enough to attract not only the Insurrectionists, but also the Covenant remnant. There were likely some misplaced ONI secrets involved.

The newcomer, Spartan Storm Scout, peered at Nova and Sky behind the visor of his black and blue scout helmet. He tagged along without a word, marksman rifle in hand, until concerns about civilians were brought up. At this juncture, he offered "Watch your motion sensors. Unidentified IFF signals will be possible civilians... or hostiles." As they split he continued to follow the flame Spartan Nova to battle, seeing as Sky's plan was to 'sneak around'.

Their approach, however, revealed no immediate enemy infantry. He quietly gazed at the brutalised civilians. There had to be many more people in the town than the approximate ten corpses they came across, he thought, but he saw no signs of the unaccounted population yet.

Only a minute after Sky arrived in the town square, over a dozen unidentified IFF's appeared on his radar from all sides, a complete surround. In the buildings surrounding Sky and his team, he could see humans and elites alike popping into windows, weapons of all forms drawn and aimed at them. There wasn't a message, no callout or hesitation as bullets and plasma went flying at the Spartan and his team. The Marines and ODST's that were with him hit cover, trying to survive more the fight back, but half of them fell within seconds of the fight starting, bullets smashing into cover and plasma burning the marines as they scream in agony.

On the other part of town, where Nova and Storm were with a large amount of UNSC infantry, they were not so lucky.  Several buildings of the left side exploded outwards, raining down sharpnal and rocks killing several marines, while at the same time, over a dozen Elites armed with Plasma weaponary flanked behind them, gunning down any humans that stood before them. Calls on the radio came out, but by the time the Marines had taken cover from the assault, 18 marines had fallen plus 5 ODST's has become victim to the ambush. In addition to the Elites on the ground, 20 Yanme'e, better known as 'buggers', flew out from another building and starting firing their plasma pistols down upon the forces taking cover, a 'rain' of plasma burning those who hadn't taken cover. The radio was filled with the screams of troops being burnt, chaos, absolute pure chaos.

Nova peered over her shoulder at the new spartan of the group. She glanced at her radar and kept a close eye on it.

Then the fire starte . The radio cracked with screams tore through the com's. She grunted as she reached up to cope with the loud noise crack.

That's when she took several dozen shots and hed shields broke. She took three blasts and her armor burned.

She fell down and gave a scream as she gripped her chest and lay by her cover. More screams echoed through her coms and she forced herself to sit up during the gunfight.

Fighting her pain she tried to push the fight.

Sky looked at his team, the six ODST's, and the four marines who had acompanied him scanning the whole area. He knew something wasn't right about this. He kept his DMR raised, watching around. He heard a full second before the rest of his team the sound of guns clicking. The closest two ODST's to him, he jumped back, holding them both, and dragging them down. As he did this, plasma and bullets rang out, and within a second of them firing, the four marines were dead, bullets tore through them. The four ODST's who had not been dragged down by him had noticed the IFF's around the same time, and had dove, one of them taking a round that hit his armor, pieced through and tore straight through his gut, wounding him, but not killing yet.

He heard the bullets hitting around them from all sides, being shot at once, and he noticed for a second the rounds stopped.

"Get in the middle, MOVE" He yelled, and within a second the ODST's ran for the circle. It was only a few steps away, but as one of the ODST's got up, and started to move, rounds tore through his chest, taking him out. Sky had no time to run a read, but he was hoping he wasn't dead. The rest of the ODST's made it into cover, and took it facing one side. Then, Sky noticed that they were bing shot from behind. He dived in behind them, the four ODST's keeping there heads down, and once he dived behind them, he noticed his shields going down. He quickly raised his magnum with his left arm, the arm that wasn't pinned to the ground covering the ODST's, and quickly fired three shots, he noticed two blood shots exit the windows, but there was still a lot of shots. He kept emptying his clip, and then the rest of the ODST's turn, keeping there back covered from the guys, and shooting the ones flanking.

"This is Delta 116, requesting support in town center. Under HEAVY fire, four men confirmed KIA, two more wounded. Surrounded and got more than a dozen IFFs attacking us, alien and human from the looks of weapons. Requesting more support, got four men alive, i want to keep them that way"

Insurgent scum. Some believed in a cause, others were dangerous opportunists looking to draw money from blood. They spoke of liberation but here they slaughtered civilians, this cell was particularly barbaric. And working with Jul 'Mdama's cult? With the tenet to humanity in mind, "your destruction is the will of the gods", it might be a tenuous alliance, or there were other controlling factors...

Ambush.

Shrapnel and plasma battered shields. It was all he could do to scramble to a nook before they shattered. In the following rain of death, the soldiers were torn through like paper while screams flooded his head. A dissonant wave of white noise.

The flame Spartan literally fell into cover. She was hit. That could be a problem. "Can you still fight?" Scout's voice raised above the din over the comm channel, while their shields recovered. "Chip away their guns in the air. I'll suppress the Elites, you incinerate some Drones. Just give the signal!" He kept an eye on Nova, preparing to lean from cover to and harrass the fanatical Sangheili with rifle shots. They had to dig in and retaliate to survive. The purge started here.

"Delta 116 this in command, we've got no more support in the current AO, all our pelicans are currents on exfil duties. Only things that are within range are your other fire teams. We can requestion support from a local garrison, however that support has an ETA of 10 minutes if they accept the request. We might be able to move a ship to provide cover and drop off supplies, however UNSC space Authories are reporting Covernment ships entering the local area and commencing a bombardment on several UNSC locations. Hold out for 10 minutes and support may become available, Command out"

Without proper leadership from the Spartans Nova and Storm, more marines started to fall to the barrage on the street. Thankfull there was some order to the chaos. The ODST's had dragged whoever they could off the street, firing to keep the enemy back as they tried to help the screaming marines. The Comn channels were in chaos, marines begging for help, screaming in agony and the voices of the ODST's trying to keep order blurred in with the rest. Over half of the marines had fallen victim to the ambush, and while no more ODST's had fallen, it was looking bad.

Nova grit her teeth and groaned in agony as she forced her body to move. She heard her fellow Spartan if she was okay. To this she coughed and exhaled. "Yes I'm alright!" She called as she covered up her wounds with fake morale.

Her eyes scanned the forces and the buggers fired down from above with their plasma weaponry. Her shields took a few hits before the cover fire from her fellow Spartan freed her to command.

"Marines get your act together!! Division one and two move to the cover of the nearby building line! Get inside and hunker down! We need to get out of the street! Recon team up in the building, provide covering fire!! We are moving!!!" She yelled before coughing up blood and wheezing.

She drew her flame thrower and burned the bugs as they swarmed around. Giving more cover for the wounded and panicked to get reassembled and moving with the ODSTs that had their foothold already.

Revelling in the sight of the alien monstrosities bursting into napalmic fire. She doubled back and ran back to the alley she set up for a rally point. Troops made it here and now they needed~

Her world began to darken a bit. She grit her teeth as she tasted the copper. Shouldering the door entrance from the ally open, she sweeped the same interior to make sure they were clear. Luckily they were because she was running on fumes.

"Secure the widows.... Set up fortifications and keep it together.... We need to figure this all out...." She wheezed as she leaned against the wall.

Sky kept his head down, glad that these guys were bad shots, but wincing as the occasional round or plasma shot his his shields, but he was keeping the ODST's safer, so it was worth it. He listened as command reported back, and once he heard it, he swore loudly.

"Copy command, the moment something becomes available send it our way, this place is turning into a sh1t show, and id rather not be here for the final-lie" He replies, taking a round in the chest, his shields were dangerously low.

"Fire at the building, we clear our back we can hold off the front" He calls out, firing more rounds from his side arm. They all missed. He dropped it, speed rolling a little, pulling his other side arm out, and rolled back, the ODST's using him as cover still, at least from the flank. He could still hear the gunfire smashing behind them. He noticed a flash, from what he could guess a scoped rifle. He quickly moved his side arm, firing a single round, taking him out as he noticed the splat come out the window. He was quick to fire more, and from what he heard, he could tell with the cip he had taken down at least three people. Seemed like he had taken out five people. A second later, ne heard a scream, and watched as someone fell out of a building. The ODST's were starting to find targets, then a second scream.

Sky watched as a round hit the arm of the soldier behind him, and it made his arm useless, which Sky guessed meant it had shattered the bone. He quickly told him to stay down, taking the soldiers Assault rifle, continuing to fire while laying on his side. He hated gunfights. The ODST pulled out a magnum with his other hand, attempting to help a bit.

"Two of you cover the other side, if we don't shoot at them they might try and rush us. You, and you" He said, pointing to the marksman of the group, and the wounded one "We deal with the flank"  He ordered, laying as much suppressive fire as he could.

"Nova, me and my team have been ambushed. Six men down, three wounded, two of those wounded possibly KIA, we need support ASAP in town square. Whats your situation?"

Nova grit her teeth as she fought her pain and tried to keep going. Her enchanced body was working incredibly well with her wounds but she felt her chances of survival slimming down.

She heard the radio crackle as her squad took positions and began firing out to the foes outside. Sky was requesting backup.

She turned on her com. "We hear you commander. We have been hit hard and~ and I got tore up. We lost at least eight or so men and it's going to trickle higher with this situation." She gasped and wheezed.

"We will try to regroup with you commander." She wheezed as she tasted the heavy copper on her tongue. Her hand dropped and she coughed hard. Painting the inside of her visor red.

Charlie foxtrot.

More marines were shot down. He hadn't realised they needed to be told to take cover when under hostile fire. Perhaps they were panicked? But with some of the aggro lifted from her shoulders Nova was able to direct them, and the platoon got off the street.

While Nova introduced her incendiary retort to the Drone cloud above, Scout primed a frag grenade and threw it high behind them, a gift for the cunning Elite infantry. He opened fire again locking on to targets down the road until they dodged out of the line of sight or until he broke their shields to hit them where it hurt, keeping the pressure on prior to drawing some heat. Then he picked his route to follow the flame Spartan into the buildings.

The Covenant forces weren't going to drop like flies but their number could be gradually whittled away, assuming were no phantoms inbound. The more of them that went down the easier it would get; although he didn't fancy their chances digging in and sustaining a firefight, considering the shape Nova was in.

They had to join up with Sky's team again. "Recon team," he called the soldiers that had taken a vantage point above. "Do you copy? We need a path to the town square."
