For the third straight year, I will be hosting the NFL Modified Elimination Game challenge!

Will two time regular season champion Gerrard successfully defend his title this season?

Will Riverhippo repeat as Playoff Champion?

Time will tell!

Also, for the second straight season, this thread will host information relating to Riverhippo's NFL Pick'm Game!

If you played it last season, I believe your account and password is still good for his coming season.

If not, registering on the NFL site is easy!

Anyway, here's the link:  http://weeklypickem.fantasy.nfl.com/group/107955

One more thing, unless I'm mistaken, this thread will also be hosting information on the famous "SteelEagle Standings"

I'll let SteelEagle tell you all about that.

For now, THIS is where you'll find info on all three of these NFL related games!

Only three months till the season begins!

Ok folks, slight change in plans this season.

Looks like I will be running both the Modified Elimination Challenge AND the Pick'm Game on the NFL Website!

The NFL Group Name is 'Canterlot'. like it was last year.  If you're a member of our Skype Group, I already posted this year's group password there.  If you want to join the Pick'm Game on the NFL Website, PM me for the password.

Direct link to the group is here

Week 1 of the NFL will be here before we know it, folks!

The SteelEagle Standings 2016

Rules

1- Picking against the Seahawks is always a loss, regardless of outcome of the game.
2- In case of tie, Steel wins.

Good luck!

Sounds like the Rules haven't changed a bit!

Less than one week away from the start of the NFL Season!

Not too late to sign up in the Canterlot group on the NFL Weekly Pick'm website and join in the game!

(Password is "DerpyHooves5")

Don't forget HERE in this thread is where we'll play the 3rd Annual NFL Modified Elimination Pick'm Game!

For those who are new to the concept, here's how it works:

Each week, participants select ONE and only one NFL team they believe will win their game.

If that team wins, that participant scores one point for the week.

If that team loses or ties, that participant gets no points.

The only other rule in the pool is this: Once you pick a team to win for a week, you cannot pick that same team to win for the rest of the season. In other words, if I pick the Steelers to win in Week 1, I cannot pick them to win again. Thus, this will limit a participant's selections more and more as the season goes on. So, choose carefully!

In a 'true' elimination pool, once a participant's team loses, then they're OUT of the game. However, since the idea here is to play for the season, I've modified the 'win or go home' rule.

Anyone is more than welcome to play and I will be keeping 'score' all season!

Week 1 of the NFL season starts on September 8th.  That will be the submission deadline for the first winning selections of the season.  For those who want to get started early, here's the NFL schedule for Week 1.  If you played the game last season, welcome back!  If you are a new participant, welcome as well!   Good luck to all!

I love some tom terrifics, but he isn't even playing this week. Week 1 is scary because some pretenders IMMEDIATELY get exposed.

I guess that I'll pick, Seattle. 40% chance of being good!
