Caribou Clans of Whitescar: A Listing

Over the course of the past year-and-a-half that we've had the Viking Caribou, quite a few of us have come up with various clans to populate their snow-scarred homeland. I figure then that we can set up a space to list the clans we've made, with maybe a brief description for each should a poster feel inclined. So if you have a hankering to promote your caribou clan, you can do so here. :artax:

PS: I suppose we can also use this topic to discuss general caribou matters and what-not.

Clan Askr, currently one of the largest clans in Whitescar and holds the majority of territory in the east by a large margin. Thanks to it's rapid advancement in recent years it's keep and hold is more akin to a city than a regular hold.

At least that's how I've been playing them.

Clan Breen- Something of an oddity among the other clans of Whitescar.  Their isolated home territory among the western fjords of Whitescar has led to the preservation and development of some rather diverse traditions (such as dying one's whole coat blue, for reasons lost to the mists of time).  Formidable users of defensive tactics, they have slowly grown in local power in their region, though their greatest influence comes from their practical control of the Vakstyra, a group of warriors dedicated to patrolling and maintaining the roads.

Clan Kare: Situated South-Southeast of Heil in the hold of Kareheim, the Watchers of this clan charts the movements and alignments of the stars and constellations to foretell the future of both clan and country. Often in the past a Watcher of Clan Kare has sat alongside a High-King's council as an advisor and soothsayer, within their clan they anoint those coming of age with a symbol based on the 'Star Sign' they were born under, which they believe guides their destiny. Along side their mystic Watchers, the clan has had its fair share of ancient heroes as well. Until recently the Clan remained neutral in the strife between the High-King and Red Jarl, but has since sided with the High-King in his quest for unity and peace between Whitescar and the rest of the world.
