Surviving The Fallen (Private)

Recommended Posts

The moment he had his rifled assembled, he put his bag back on, about to move towards Cryie when her sister walked in, and from the look of it was about to shoot him, but didn't. He noticed from the corner of his eye the shaking of Cryies head, a sigh leaving his mouth. He would have been mowed down and he knew it. He didn't aim the rifle at anyone, holding to his side. He looked at the sister, knowing he would have to deal with that eventually, but for now, he needed to help keep this girl safe. He was safe to assume she coudln't fight, from how the sister had reacted to her, and Mids..... she must have another sister.

"You will be safe, don't worry" He said to Cryie with a smile, before walking to the door, looking straight at the threatening girl.

"Just wanted to say, i like your sister. I don't mean any harm towards her, and il help you get her out of here if things go bad, if you want me gone after so be it" He said to her, before going outside, raising his rifle towards the gates, ready for the fight to enter the town.

----

The guards were having a hard time, yells could be heard as some guards fell off the walls, bullets having shreaded straight through them, and more explosions could be heard. Massive bits of wood flew off the main gate, the explosions slowly making it break, and the result was shrapnal flying through the area right behind the door. The raiders were slowly pushing their way towards the town, and the gate would only last another minute or so. The gun fire had not stopped, it had increased. Though hard to hear, in the distance, the echoing sound of something being awoken could be heard, though unless heard by the trained ear who could depict it from the gunfire, they would not notice at all.

Mac remained silent, his eyes slowly gliding between each girl as she talked.

Mac hated ponies ... besides his family. Yet li or castor as he began naming her in his mind was interesting. And midnight as he said; was sneaky, she was hiding something and he wanted to know what. Then a young boy came and joined them, Fair enough they were causing a scene.

Mac remained silent as his nature. Till he heard the shots.

"Peace .... none for me." He whispered. As he looked to the cloudy sky. He didn't know who he was talking to; God, the hand of fate, or maybe just another part of himself. Either way he growled and ran off.

All mac wanted was to find his family, and maybe a tailor. But that would have to wait. When he got there it was too late. The wall had been shattered!

he looked, there was a m240 machine gun that had been knocked on the ground from its nest. He picked it up with ease and blinked hard as he flashed back

"hey boss maybe we can get the kid a smaller gun, a pistol or something." ... "we don't have guns for babies, if he wants to roll with us he has to shoot!" Mac was little, probably no more than 5. He had found a gang that would take him in but they didn't really care about him. Just another potential foot soldier. He struggled with a big pump action shotgun that was nearly his size! He aimed at the garbage can and closes his eyes pulling the trigger. The noise tearing his sharp ears apart. Next he remembered not long after using it to shoot some one for the first time. He hid from a battle, trying to block out the noise. He cried in the corner of a basment when a mare kicked down the door. She wore red, the colors of the opposite gang. Mac clutched the huge gun and fired! He hates guns, how scary they were, how heavy and noisy they were. Too this day he prefers a knife. But they kept him safe and alive. He remembered many nights clutching a gun like a teddy bear. Keeping him safe.

he grew up using guns that were a bit too large for him. And thus the 240 was acually pretty comfortable. A friend of his family; who was in the military showed him how to use one. And he calmly took cover positioning himself to shoot whatever came thru that hole in the wall.

Ember raised an eyebrow at the boy who came up to her. He was…complimenting Cryie, which made her scowl at him. Even if he said he’d look after her, Ember refuses to believe it. In this place, you look after yourself and those close to you, not strangers. Of course, she said nothing as he went towards the gunfire, and Ember found herself hoping he died in the gunfight, if only so he would take his eyes away from her little sister.

“All packed?” Ember asked simply, getting a ‘Almost’ from Cryie, who was moving back and forth trying to assess which books were worth saving and which ones she had to, regrettably, let die.

As Sky headed towards the front, he’d turn a corner and bump right into a blue-haired and blue-eyes girl, who nearly lost her balance but managed to stay on her feet regardless. She looked at him, and quickly eyes his rifle. Was it worth taking? She couldn’t see any ammo off the bat, meaning she’d get a clip of it. Honestly it would be a worthwhile kill, if only there weren’t too many people around. So instead she opted to simply glare at him “Watch it! There’s a battle going on if you hadn’t realized” she snapped before shoving past him, headed straight for the library.

Sky ran around the corner, rifle in hand and ready to fight, only to bump into a blue haired girl. He managed not to fall over, and noticed she didn't either. Although she looked innocent... the way her eyes looked at him made him a little.... uneasy. He just shook it aside to a feeling from being careful for years.

"I know, im g.... oh no" Sky said back, then he heard the sound of something.... something that was not human. Oh crap, gotta warn them, if this is anything like what happened to the last town i was in!

He quickly turned, letting his rifle just sling down onto his chest, being held by the strap, he turned and started running back to the Library, unknowingly the same place the girl he had just bumped into was going

Li nodded as the girl left. So her sisters are her weakness, Li should know as she had that weakness before, but it had been replaced with another. She turned to the young stallion and said, "Follow if you wish, nothing is stopping you except for yourself". She walked off and headed for the breached wall, drawing her swords as she did. "Everyone seems to like guns now, the art of swordsmanship is fading in the west."

Mac found the most effective way to kill a zombie was the same as a pony ... liquidate them with heavy firepower And that's exactly what this gun is designed for.

Mac saw the raiders. And got his finger ready. He waited until they got close and comfortable. Then opened fire!

Mac wanted them up close; not only to save ammo but so they wouldn't be able to pin down his position. If he gunned them down at the gate. They would simply flank around or use other tactics that might draw him out.

Mac pulled the trigger and swept the kicking, screaming gun in a fine pattern of left to right. Creating deadly lines of fire which ripped thru the raider ponies mostly in center mass! The noise stabbed his ears and in the short pause between mowing down raiders, he heard only ringing.

Mac's tatic worked as that wave was slaughtered down;  the next entered thinking it was safe. It was then he noticed castor again! Was the little girl really making a stand? He knew she was brave, but this surprised him. Even more so the fact that she was using swords! Mac never saw someone fight with a sword. ... I'm theory it would be better than a knife? But still a sword?

Mac shook his head. "The fight is all that matters now!" He said to himself as he focused on his surroundings and situations

Somepony up close could be useful, she could help draw them out! And handle any he misses! They could make a good team he realizes.

"YOUR COVERED, BRAVE ONE!" He sang out to her as he fired another deadly burst at a group that was close to her. It thinned them out for her. Allowing him to focus on the next ones to come out!

"Thanks, cousin!" Li yelled as she sprung into action. She sliced one across the chest and the waist, quickly running to the next one and stabbed both of her swords into it's stomach, driving them upwards and through it's head. Li saw one about to swipe at her from behind, quickly cutting the arm off before turning to cut it's head off and kicking the rest of the body to the ground. She continued to cut through the group, flipping over three close ones and sliced across their heads. She landed behind one and use one sword to pierce it while the other pierced one behind her.

Midnight made it back the library, and the sisters began ensuring everything was packed and they weren’t missing anything. While they weren’t leaving just yet, Midnight’s rule was simple. Unless they pick the fight, run. Midnight preferred to have controlled battles where she gets to pick the rules, when being attacked, she struggled, so the sisters all agreed the best course of action was to simply avoid the battle.

“Do you think we could save anyone?” Cryie got a glare from both her sisters.

“No” Midnight was as blunt as always, while Ember knelt down to her sister. “Sorry C, but it’s just gunna be too hard. If the raiders get this far they’ll be dead, and if they don’t, then we’ll stay and loot what we can. We can’t afford to risk it…”

Cryie sighed, she knew they were right, it was the most logical option, although despite her love for science, her compassion had gotten the better of her.

“Keep your blade close” Ember muttered, double-checking her rifle as she set up an ambush at the doorway of the library “Consider it a blessing we were born into high-class where that actually mattered”

Midnight nodded her head as did Cryie, who picked up a blade that she’d placed on the ground before. Her blade. Each of the sisters had been raised together in a house that was extremely prideful, and as such, each girl was taught how to defend ‘their honour’ with a blade.

As sky had started running back to the Library, a side door blew down, the door flying across and knocking him off his feet, sending him straight to the ground with a loud 'umph' He groaned as he got up, picking his rifle up only to see five bandits running towards him, two with guns, three with swords. He quickly noticed the guns, they weren't the most fast firing, but they packed a punch, old M14 Semi auto rifles. He quickly raised his own M4 carbine, aiming straight towards the first one, he fired a small two round burst, taking him down before he could fire a shot, though the other one got a round off. Sky quickly ducked, the ricocheting bullet hitting the wall behind him, and landing next to his feet. He raised his gun towards that one, and as he fired he went down, but before he could do anything else, the three with swords were on him.

Sky dropped his carbine as he  quickly jumped back, one of them swinging his blade at him while the other two closed in more. He didn't have time to grab his knives as the other two closed in, going for a high and low slash. Sky, with insane effort, jumped, bending his body in a way that made him go inbetween the blades, though it was a rough landing, smashing straight onto his back. He quickly rolls as he gets out of the way of another slash, but he yells as he feels it cut across his back. He launches himself up, grabbing one of his knives, and quickly doing a 180, throwing it pin point into the head of one of them. The remaining two closed in, and Sky rushed them. As they got close, Sky went into a slide as they both swung, he put his arms out, knocking their feet out behind them. He got up, pulling out his other knife, taking them both out with fatal injuries. He put his knife away, grabbing the one he threw and then grabbed his carbine and bag, running towards the Library.

-------------------

The waves of bandits were slowly thinning as the townsmen fought and fought, most of the gunfighting having turned into CQC combat as the raiders ran out of ammo and got desperate. However a group of five raiders, armed with MG's and SMG's were heading right for the library.

Mac watches castor out of the corner of his eye. Immediately he re assesses her. "There's no way a child can move with that speed and streangth. She is just a small woman; one that's highly trained with a sword." He fires another blast leaving a small group of 3 for her.

there winning, the raiders weren't pouring out any more. Figures; seeing as he and castor mowed down several waves. He was about to fire another line; when a group of townsfolk charged in with chainsaws, pitchforks and some kind of improvised spear; good weapons for zombies ... but now he can't blast away.

He let his anger fill him and rushed in with the gun. "RRRRGH!" He shouts as he leaps into the fray! He slamms the stock of the weapon into a raider's jaw! It twists his head knocking him out. The Townie the raider was fighting, finished the raider off stabbing It in Neck with the pitchfork. "Thanks!" He shouts

Mack ran to the front of the line of combat and opened fire! "I'll always prefer precise silent blades. But Guns rule the battlefield. It's good to save ammo with zombies but I'm not taking the risk of melee combat right now." He said to himself! Without something to support the giant gun on his lines of fire were sloppy. But they were so close it doesn't  matter! The group ahead of them mows down recoiling as the shots rip them to pieces!

"BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG-click" the 240G ran empty.  Right as a group of raiders charge him. Mac looked up and counted 6. He hoped castor and the townies could come help him. He looked at the lead. He weilded a knife,

a knife that drew mac's jealousy. About a foot long blade. Black solid steel- carbon he guessed, to nice to be stainless. It had a Bowie edge with a nasty looking taper at the end. The dull side had thick serrations running half the leangth. He wanted it! He would claim it in battle as his own. Only thing is; this raider must be insane or really good with it; to want to fight with a knife over a gun!

Mac Stepped and stabbed his foe with the hot barrel right in his gut! "OOOPH!" He moaned as he was pushed back. Mac stepped forward; big mistake! The townsfolk behind him clearly knew what they were doing: they stnd shoulder to shoulder, and took advantage of there longer weapons poking and stabbing.

a phalanx, one of the oldest tactics out there, and still one of the best. He was glad they would be ok, but this left him alone with his foe. "Gotta end this quick; the 240 is heavy but I don't want to damage it, move to joint manipulation and fall back! Of course I would end up in the one position I don't want to be!" He thought, he stepped forward again slamming the buttstock into the raiders skull!

his foe rather skillfully regained his balance and used the momentum of the strike he just received to spin and slash at Mac. Mac didn't think, his reflexes saved him as he jumped back. The slash cleanly tore his shirt open.

Mac smiled showing his teeth like a shark about to bite; that demonstrated how sharp the blade was. It would be his! He dropped the 240 getting into a boxing stance. The raider's eyes went wide seeing mac was grinning and knew what he was doing.

mac lunged forward! Full ferocity! Like an animal fighting for its life "RRRUUUUGHHH!" He punched his foes shoulder pushing him slightly. Then he leaped to the side and grabbed his wrist. The raider tried to elbow him; but Mac sinks his weight into the joint and sends the blade right into the raider's chest!

"uhhh!" He softly moans; knowing its over. Mac claimed the knife putting his hand on it and rips it out it out with a splash of blood!

Mac hates ponies, only once did he feel like he acually belonged with them. But that was a short time before the zombies! It looked like he was a ragging beast letting out years and years of violent rage. But that was just the way he faught, stabbing his foe a few times in the neck, eye and chest. Ensuring. It not only that he was dead and would not get back up; but also that he wouldn't be a zombie.

mac pulls the blade out; with a devilish wide toothed grin. The knife feels good in his hand; it was truly his now. But he was stuck behind the enemie lines. There weren't many. But it was not a good position to be in! He watches hoping Castor or the townies could finish off the final wave, freeeing him

The 5 raiders who got close to the library burst in through the door, but what they found wasn't what they expected. They had expected that large building to be the primary housing location for supplies, being near the centre of town. They found something much more deadly. Ember, standing right in front of them, rifle aimed at the door. Her rifle was crude in design, nicknamed an 'AK' which used slightly larger bullets than a rifle should need. Although Ember hadn't complained once. She pulled the trigger, and her bullets tore through the 3 bandits who rushed through the doorway.

The first bandit died almost instantly, the second lasted a mere second longer. And the third had enough time to turn his back to Ember, a horrible mistake, and his last. One bullet later, Ember ended his life. It had taken the red-haired girl merely seconds to kill 3 occupents, and knew, the other two, didn't have much longer.

Taking cover by each side of the doorframe, the surviving raiders prepared to blindfire into the library to get rid of Ember. However, never got the chance. Midnight had predicted the movement, and now was in the alcove above them. Dropping from above, she unleashed her weapons. In her left hand, a small 9mm handgun, which she shot twice into the bandits face, killing him instantly. The right hand was armed with a short sword, the blade and handle decorated beautifully, as she made a single stab forwards at the chest. Some blade stabs would avoid the chest bones to make cleaner kills at the more squishy stomach. However, not only did she aim for the chest, she slipped her blade between two ribs and pierced his heart, killing him instantly.

With the bandits dead, the elder sisters began to loot the corpses of the raiders, while Cryie stood nearby. She wasn't armed with a rifle of any kind, not even a handgun, just a blade which sat on her waist, hidden under her coat.

(Is there magic in anthro?)

Once Li had finished another group, she noticed the towns folk join the battle. With this many people, the battle will be over in a matter of minutes. Li immediately went back to fighting, kicking a raider in the stomach and cutting off the head. She knocked away blade with her own and drove the other into their chest, pulling it out to stab one creeping up behind her. "Everyone keeps using the same tricks; don't they get tired of them?" she asked herself, hitting a woman in the forehead with the pommel of her sword before delivering a roundhouse kick.

She swung her swords at the air, splattering the blood on it onto the ground. Looks like the threat is almost gone now, just a few more groups to eliminate. Li looked around for the stallion from before and noticed that he was in the middle of the battlefield, apparently stuck. He helped her out just now, so the proper way to thank him is to return the favor. The young qilin ran towards the stallion, cutting a path for herself until she reached him. "Are you injured, cousin? You seem to be slowing down." Li asked, grabbing the arm of a charging raider before beheading him.

(OCC: With RDD being occupied IRL, i'm temporarily taking over GM posts for this RP to keep it alive. To answer Fires question, I'm ok with anthro magic yes, although when RDD is feeling better he'll be the final judge, but for now, yes you can use magic, although try about huge spells of mass destruction until rDD is able to confirm which is ok and not :) )

The Bandit assault on the town was starting to slow, the few groups that had been successful in penetrating into the town lay dead on the ground, and the primary assault force left broken at the main gate with only a few survivors, out of ammunitions and forced to use what few hand-to-hand weapons that actually had with them.

Just as the battle seemed victorious with the raiders killed, a worse sound echoed over the town. A guttural groan of the damned themselves, the infected. The more knowledgeable would slowly realize why the infected would make such a noise. It was the sound of an angry horde, headed right for the town. The noise from the firefight with the raiders had grabbed the attention of the undead, the infected, and signed the town to almost certain doom. The townsfolk reacted, almost instantly. Almost all of them started packing.

The town had less than a minute to recover from the bandits before the infected hit, and they hit hard. While the bandits, who kept to cover to, had a sense of self-presivation, the infected did not. They threw themselves into the gunfire of the guards, but the guards had used a large amount of their supplies in the battle before and the few that were unharmed fell. The towns people ran, some fighting, some abandoning, others getting caught and having the worst punishment inflicted upon them, infection. The town was in chaos with infected spreading deeper and deeper.

Caster and Mac would find themselves surrounded, not a tactical move by the infected but because, the fleeing townsfolk created a miniature circle trying to escape, the infected seemingly more interested in those fleeing than those standing still.

The library near the back of the town saw, not only the least concentration of infected, but additionally three girls looting the corpses of raiders, and formulating an exit plan. Cryie and Midnight worked together placing explosives around the library, while Ember, armed with her rifle, cut down anything that dared poke their heads out at her sisters.

Li was just about done with the raiders when she heard a familiar groan. She turned to see more danger heading their way, narrowing her eyes as she finished off a raider that was choking in her grip and tossed the body aside. Her breath was heavy, but she should be able to push herself until the very end with enough support, which would be difficult to get since almost everyone is fleeing. Li sighed as the panicking mob of towns folk suddenly crowded around her; how is she going to help if the people she's helping are stopping her from helping them? The young qilin quickly pulled out a root from a pouch and ate it, removing the lactic acid from her muscles after chewing on it for a few minutes. Danger was slowly closing in, Li needs to find a way to get out of the crowd quickly before it's too late.

Mac smiled as castor ripped thru the crowd essentially saving him. But as she said he was slowing down, he showed his shark teeth. Mac never once felt the need to prove himself. Till now this small woman had essentially challenged him.

Mac when he was younger tried to live by a rule he made. "Never fight more than 3 guys at once." And since he made it; he constantly broke it. And he would break it now willingly to show castor how he felt.

Twirling the knife in his hand he leaped forward and in an instant stabbed a raider in the forearm, stunning her then ripped it out in a rather painful looking manner and dug it into her neck. He rocked it back and fourth nearly decapatating the mare. This took some time but when he was done he scooped up the 240 again and slung it over his shoulder. A raider with a club came before him getting in a low stance trying to taunt him forward. Mac jumped,  twisted and kicked the raider in the face. A crunch and some twitches from the raider told him nothing else was needed. As he landed a raider charged him, without thinking he smashed the 240 on his enemy and brought the knife into there chest, a few stabs to the heart came next. he faced his last enemy. This was a big one who had a sledgehammer. Mac stepped forward and readied his feet. As the raider was swinging Mac side stepped and grabbed him from behind. He felt like he broke his collarbone by slamming the 240 into it. But that didn't matter. He then sliced open his belly and gave him a kick. This spilled the raider's guts everywhere, but didn't kill him.

While he was fighting they somehow became surounded zombies. The gutted raider bought them some time. But he stood back to back with castor.

"Why am I so difrent, why is it all such a struggle to me? As if I don't have the right to live and everything else does. Maybe that's why I'm still alive in this doomed infected world. Because I never had it easy anyway? Was it all just preparing me for this? doesnt matter unless I get me and the brave one out of here; we'll have cover in the town.  I don't have a shirt, I don't have any ammo. I'm tired, thirsty and starving ... just another day, just another challenge!" He shook his head while thinking these thoughts. keeping his head forward he rolled his eyes to see castor eating a root

"hey" he said out loud, to her. His voice was strong and calm. "I'm going to clear a path for us. Keep up and watch my sides. This isn't bad at all." Mac didn't know but his voice had a certain rythm. It was soothing and calming. Perhaps if his life wasn't so crazy he could have had it easy as a famous singer?

But he wasnt a singer, he was a murder! And the face he made and the battle cry he did as he charged forward proved it!

He somewhat skipped ran towards the horde. He went for some that were distracted feasting on corpses. Piercing  the barrel of the 240 into a zombie's belly, and stabbing the knife into its nose he now had a battering ram! He twisted the knife embedding it in the skull and making sure it couldn't bite.

"RRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHAAAAAAA!" He screamed as he ran forward. The zombies didn't have a good sense of balance but it still took a lot of energy and it hurt when he slammed thru each one. He felt the impact in his hands and wrist, each bump shocking him a bit with how hard it was. But he kept it up.

"I'm not stopping now! I won't! I'm not stopping now! I won't!" He kept repeating in his mind as they pushed towards the wall.

(To answer your question Fire, i say sure to magic. Just nothing overboard, pretty much what Shadow said, i don't really have any idea's on specifics so as we go i guess we will judge it)

God damn these raiders, why do i have this stupid luck

Sky sighed as he listened to the rounds going over his head, having had the bad luck of having what seemed like the only group with guns left shooting at him. Their had to at least be five shots going over his head, and into his cover a second, and he didn't have time to shoot back. He couldn't help but just sit their. He needed to get back to the Library, he had a feeling something worse was about to happen.

Then it did.

He heard the rounds stop, and the moment he got up, raising his rifle to shoot back, he saw them. The infected. They had gotten into Ponyville. He didn't care about bullets now, he had something worse to watch out for. He got up, the raiders now occupied with getting killed by the infected swarm. He bolted as fast as he could towards the Library, noticing as he got close that two were arming explosives.... and the sister was on lookout.... He was in the open, no cover, with a group of at least thirteen infected having split off from the odd hundred to chase him, since his back was bleeding from the sword slash.

The crowd that surrounded Caster and Mac slowly began to thin, as the infected killed, or infected, the people around them. That’s how the battle had always been, for every one a human killed, a human got infected and joined their ranks. The former survivors of the town now came to kill their formers friends. As Mac attempted to punch through their ranks, they turned their sickly eyes onto him, and moved to try and bite him. For every one Mac would punch down, another would take its place, a true horde.

Ember spotted it first, the boy from before, being chased. She took aim but held her trigger, getting Midnights attention and opinion. 13 infected. Midnights mind whirled. Trying to line up the risks of firing and killing them, the expected result of the male, and the likelihood of being overrun by infected before they finished their planting. A nod later, Ember let it rip.

The 13 infected lasted 2 seconds each, with Ember pumping 3 bullets into each ones head. Not random, not rushed, but a predetermined number of bullets. Midnight and Ember had tested it many a times, and they knew how many bullets was needed to kill, not a single shot more, to converse ammo. Once the infected had been dispatched, the sisters, didn’t move to help Sky. No, Ember kept looking around for infected, Midnight was setting up the last explosive while Cryie, with a tablet-attached to her arm, played with the settings to link all the explosives to detonate at her command.

The moment Sky heard the first bullet go off, he flinched. He was worried that the crazy was about to shoot him!!! But to his, very delightful, luck, the rounds went past him perfectly, smashing into the undead chasing him, but also causing a small commotion. He couldn't help but groan, hoping that they, or he if they told him to back off, didn't have to fight through a hoard.

He didn't stop running until he got to them, walking up to the one who had spared his sorry @ss. He was glad that she had chosen not to shoot him.

"Thanks for the help" He said to her, giving a nod of apprication and respect as he turned around, raising his rifle and aiming, checking for anything else that was moving, and sadly at this point, that was dead, or alive. The town was lost... He knew it, and he wanted to get out before they were lost with it, but he knew he couldn't alone. He wanted to try and travel with this group... at least until they go to the next safe haven.

The qilin nodded when the stallion called out to her, keeping up won't be a problem as long as nothing goes wrong. Li continued to fight, supporting the stallion from behind by cutting down anything that got too close to them. "Cousin seems to be going overboard. Oh well, as long as he's doing fine." Li muttered to herself, following him as he pushed through the crowd. She kept beheading the infected, smiling at how much fun she was having. "You're almost there cousin." she said, stabbing a zombie that was trying to jump onto her.

mac pushes thru. growling and snarling he looks up to see the the remains of the wall over him.  they made it thru into the town. mac looks around. the town is also filled with zombies; but the buildings and streets disperse them to manageable amounts. "castor! the wall is going to be filled with supplies. we take what we can and from the top plan our way out." mac nods still his tone still calm; danger of death and dismemberment was something he had gotten used to by now. he stabs a zombie in the face and runs to the entry point of the wall. On the steps a zombie is there just waiting for them. it watches him; mac can't tell who this zombie used to be. its flesh is rotten almost to its skull, teeth are missing and its wearing rags, stained brown with dry blood.

mac grabs the zombie by the throat and throwing his hip into it; and  throws it off the steps.  mac nods to castor and jumps into the inner wall. he slams the door once castor makes it thru and uses a 2x4 as a lock.  the armory is raided but there appears to still be some things that can help. the first thing he does is is walk over to a corpse. a guard killed in the blast. with no respect for the dead he rips a back pack off her and dumps everything out. he walks along the narrow hall grabbing mostly cans of food. and bottles of water stuffing them quick. there are a couple pistols and weapons.

mac considers dropping the 240g ... he stares at it a moment "a lighter gun would be better. ... but the firepower will be worth the pain of lugging it around. besides i like this gun" he thinks as he grabs and stuffs a few boxes of 7.8 ammo. he looks about the armory for a vest that would fit. but decides to focus on the survival equipment right now. once the pack was full he slung it over his shoulder and found another 240. he takes the sling off the spare and wraps it around his own.  with no room to hold anything else he opens the door to the top of the wall.

things do not look good. from the top; the city looks like a slap of food with a whole ant colony trying to greedily take it away. mac shakes his head "here not even a day and the place goes down. life has never given me an inch.' he moans to himself. looking around he sees a safe route he leans over to castor "we jump down by that street, thru the library. then we can run along the roofs to that exit at the corner." he says pointing to an road behind some houses. mac would figure out what to do next once they were out of the city. his mind couldn't focus on any other plans at the moment. and despite the fact that he was stressed he kept an air of confidence and strength. his voice not wavering in the slightest.

Ember snorted at Sky as he walked near them. She hadn’t been shooting to save him, but to keep the infected away from her family. He was lucky she hadn’t gunned him down and blamed it on recoil, but she knew Midnight would be angry at her if she wasted any ammunition, and that was the only reason Sky kept his life.

“Time?” Ember asked tensely “We have 1-2 minutes max before they rock up and overrun here”

Midnight shoot an ice-glare back at her sister “Don’t rush it, we may have fixed them before but re-calibrating c-4 to an incompatible firing system isn’t as easy as it sounds. One wrong move and we set them off prematurely”

“And that’s bad to make them go early?” Ember asked.

“Bad as in we’d all die” Midnight replied bluntly before focusing on her work setting up the last explosive.

While her sisters bickered, Cryie was purely focused on her own device that she failed to notice Sky’s arrival. Her focus was on her wrist-mounted mini-computer, a device she made years ago which wasn’t as powerful as a computer, but portable and personalized, it was a gift she made herself and sisters a few years before everything went downhill. Currently she was syncing the device to Midnights’ C4 detonations set, so she could trigger the detonation from a safer distance.

Right as Mac had displayed his plan of escape to Li, despite the horde around them, a new noise would be hard to miss. It was similar to the noise a horde would make, except deeper and singular. At the front gate, surrounded by its fellow infected, stood an unholy abomination. The creature stood at nearly double a normal individuals height, with green rotting flesh and burning red eyes. It was wearing the remains of a lab-coat, torn to tatters at the creatures unnatural growth from being infected.

Of course, everyone had heard the rumors. Massive abominations, infected yet different, almost retaining their sanity, and unkillable, assuming the rumours were to be believed. It let out another deep bellowing roar and slammed its oversized fist into the ground. What these creatures were, was anyone guess. Some argued they were test subjects from the original experiment. Others that they were sent by the gods to test them. Another theory, and one that Cryie sadly agreed with, was that they were the scientists who created the original virus. How it shifted them to drastically compared to the regular infected was anyones guess. But one thing would be clear, this thing was out for blood.

"Alright, I'll watch your back." she replied, following him up the stairs and into the wall. Li looked around the room, not finding anything useful to her as she doesn't use guns. She sheathed her swords and followed the stallion, bowing deeply to the corpse while he picked up supplies. "Please excuse us." the qilin muttered before straightening up to follow the stallion out. The town was in bad shape and there was almost no hope of saving it. She shook her head and sighed, disappointed at the results of her hard work. Li sudden heard a strange sound and turned to its direction. "We might have to revise the plan; a new problem has appeared." she said, pointing at the creature.

mac sees the massive zombie. the big big boss. mac thinks for a minute and looks to his massive 240g. honestly he was over feeling sorry for himself, things were going to get worse from here on out. and that big boss was going to waste what resources they managed to get. "i don't feel like brawling with that boss. lets just rush around it. take advantage of our speed. go to the library wait till it gets close then move!" mac looked to castor needing a quick response. they needed to get out of here. the longer they waited the hardest things would get!
