Physique: She has a slightly pudgy look to her but has very strong fore hooves from pulling herself around on a wheelchair esque contraption a friend of hers invented. She has fins running down from the top of her head to the middle of her tail. On the tip of her tail is more fins vertically on either side. She also has fines on the back of her hooves and side of her muzzle. Her underbelly is made of scales as well as her tail, she is equipped with shark-like teeth and a emerald gem embedded in the front of her neck.

Avid Read: Despite having slick hooves from being constantly damp Candy loves reading books! Even if that means that the pages sometimes get stuck together sometimes... oops. That's why she wears special hoof gear that allows her to turn the page without getting it stuck together! 

Foodie: Candy didn't get the pudge she has purely by coincident oh no, Candy Shimmer loves eat food! Veggies and Meat she just can't get enough! Doesn't matter how it's cooked or what it looks like as long as it tastes good she'll eat it.

 

Eye for Art: During her down time she enjoys drawing or painting whichever she can get done before her next gig. She loves to do scenery pieces as well as portraits. She loves capturing the serene moment in life and the happy joys of ponies and other creatures. She also loves appreciating art that over ponies and creatures have done. It was a great inspiration for her to see other's work.

 

History: Candy Shimmer had always dreamed of moving to Ponyville! She loved to travel and has yet to travel there but what she hears about that place is simply wonderful. Ponies of all kind visit there even creatures of all kinds visit there. She wants to be where all the activity is! Where there is activity there is a chance she'll get her singing career off the ground. She wasn't very popular in Melodia because tons of sirens there sing, but she wants to be somewhere where her music would be appreciated. Her singing was different than that of ponies because her singing was infused with magic. Singing for those who would appreciate and enjoy it not only made her happy but made her magic stronger which was never too bad a bonus in her eyes. She wondered though if the ponies would accept a siren who needs the emotions of others in order to use her magic which helps her survive? She worried heavily about this for a while while she was on a train to Ponyville but once she arrived her doubts and fears were put to the side. So much joy and happiness! Even if it wasn't directed at her the residual effect of it all was enough to power her up and she couldn't imagine what it would be like if all that love and joy was directed at her. It made the tips of her fins tingle with excitement. So she decided to give it a little test run~ Candy set up near one of the corners of the buildings and began to sing. She drew in a little crowd with her singing and as she sung she felt her magic increase with each pair of eyes be it for positive reason or negative. This gave her a rush of power and it almost went to her head but she managed to reel it in before it got too crazy. She ended her song and with it the power she felt not that it was enough to do anything spectacular but it was more than what she was used to feeling. She could read books for days with all the power she just gain! Or levitate a little higher and not need to use her wheelchair contraption to get around. It was wonderful! She just has to move here now if only she could find a place that was close to the nearby river and that would make everything perfect.

 

Little did she know during her singing and reflection a talent scout was out and heard her singing and thought it was wonderful and enchanting. He just had to have her sign up for a small contract deal. It would give her a place to live here in ponyville wherever she pleased and she got to sing in front of small groups of ponies until she hits it big. She was free to travel back to her hometown of Melodia for as long as she wanted as long as she got her gigs done first. The scout even promised to get her some gigs in other places too, but they had to start out small first. Oh! She needed a stage name as well which Candy came up with the name "Emerald Skies" for the gem in her neck and her eyes being the colors of the sky. All of this was so exciting! She would finally get to move to her dream town and she gets to sing for ponies and feel that rush of power whenever she does! This was all a great deal for her and she couldn't resist it, so she accepted. With help from the agent she was able to rent out a room that was near the a river so she could go cool down or get refreshed whenever she wanted.

 

Character Personality: Candy Shimmer is confident and fun loving siren she is bubbly and hyper whenever you meet her, but she does sometimes get pessimistic when things are looking rather rough. Otherwise she can be easy to get along with especially so if the pony in question knows about her favorite subjects which is Art, Music, and Fashion. She loves clothes even if she can't wear a lot of them due to her fins, but she hopes to one day fix that. For now just looking at what others are wearing especially if it's the latest deigns is good enough for her. 

 

Character Summary: Candy Shimmer is a pudgy siren who made a second home in Ponyville to start her career as a singer/songwriter. Her magic is powerful enough to lift her off the ground at least a little under a foot. She can do basics of what any other normal unicorn can do she can do more it would just take her a while to find the right incantation for it. Candy loves to make ponies smiles and she loves the feeling that comes with it as selfish as that might be. She uses a wheelchair contraption to get around on land because her levitation doesn't get her entire tail off the ground and she hates having her fins drag in the dirt.
