Alright guys here's the deal, this will be a squad based tactical role play. Once you get passed the name it's basically just a fun not-to-serious war rp. Now what sets it apart from others is that there will be a rank structure in the squad. This means that the orders of anyone above you will have to be followed. The squad will consist of a commanding sergeant (me for the first op), a Corporal under them, and two specialists. Throughout the rp you're expected to adhere to the rank structure at all times (within reason)

      ACCEPTING THREE MORE PLAYERS ONLY

List your character's standard applications in your replies.  Extra items are accepted (about two'll do it) but keep in mind that this will be a parody of the Vietnam War era. So, pack appropriately. Loadouts will be determined after sign ups conclude.

Name: Sanar Enfermera
Position: Corporal (if you'll let me)
Description: Average body type, pure milk white coat, black messy mane (I'd say it's medium sized and fluffy kind of), Light purple eyes, lime colored healer cross cutiemark with yellow and grey boarders surrounding a green circle. Optimistic and blunt overall. Rather relaxed about everything and can sometimes forget the severe seriousness of the situation at hand. A little bit unconfident in his ability as a field medic. Low self esteem at times due to the impending danger at times.
Items: Bandages, Syringes, pocket watch, Medical tools such as scalpel, amputator. And a medic pack where he keeps all this stored.

(in case i was complete **** with the description I have a pic) Photo

Name: Solar Line

Position: Specialist

Description: Earth pony. Average body type, though with beefier muscles thanks to the combination of military training and his 'special workout routine'. Color wise he is standard royal guard white with blue mane and tail. He also bears a full set of royal guard armor, one that is pretty much battered through and through and has all sorts of scribbles carved at sixes and sevens. Scribbles that cover all the classics from "Please stop me" on his helmets forehead to a big "Welcome to Tartarus" on his left flank armor. The armor is not only battered to dents at points but it has plenty of blast marks from spells and what not. (He never washes them off as they highly boost his street credibility. No matter what the guidelines say about armor maintenance the marks stay on.)

He has blue eyes like all the other guards, however he always wears blue mirror glasses that seam nicely with the helmet, concealing his eyes completely. (For the lack of reference image check out my profile picture. I just magically happen to wear similar blue glasses. totally not self inserting or anything.)

His cutiemark is concealed by the armor but it is a simple looking black tower with a yellow sun in the middle of it. (The tower resembling a rook chess piece.)

Items: As his equipment he has two saddlebags that are stuffed with MRE's and two canteens of water. Oh and the hair gel jar he stole borrowed from the barracks before departure. (He prefers to keep his hairstyle in peak condition if he loses his helmet.)

PS: Sorry if it was a bit too long for your tastes. Also, I know that the loadouts are pretty much supposed to be decided afterwards so feel free to say "no" and decide the gear for me instead. (Just please let me have the sweet glasses, I mean, what can one do without some cool eyewear.)

What is one to do indeed? it's quasi-Vietnam dude, uniform mods aren't that big a deal, not when your getting hosed by bushes anyway.  You'll have to head down to the quartermaster to pick up the more modern jungle olive BDUs (with some armoring and modified guard helmet to keep to tradition).  Besides that, the characters great.  I like the pretty boy/ hardass combo you've got going with him.

No worries buddy, you provided a picture which is basically a thousand word description.  Your medical supplies are prohibited, but your 'pack' will have to be the standard combat saddle (medic variant of course).  I'll explain uniforms and weapons when we get into loadouts.

That's fine. His talent is healing so he can just use his magic in that case. His magic is based around barriers and healing wounds but he can't heal broken bones, missing limbs, death, or handicaps, etc. He mostly just heals stuff like open wounds, cuts, bleeding, small injuries like bruises, etc

That works for me, but the instruments to perform basic field aid'll have to levitated of used by the magic.  I don't think we've seen cannon healing magic in the show so we gotta stay lore friendly.  I'd hang onto to that pack.

Alrighty. And I'm sure we've seen 1 instance of a heal, but I know where you're coming from. I just really like healing in MMOs so i decided to make a unicorn OC based off healing magic.

Hm, say what, if I grab those BDU's and a modified guard helmet with some paratrooper style strappings on him that hold his equipment bags on his sides. (For the ultimate vietnam look.)

The helmet of course has all my personal 'hardass' carvings on them as per usual...oh, and the glasses, the amazing glasses.

Bro what's a Vietnam helmet WITHOUT hardass engravings! Sounds alright, stand by for loadouts real soon.

You think it's possible to start the RP with us 3 or would you rather wait for a 2nd specialist? Also is it okay if i use protection spells? That's a canon thing in the show barriers. Of course as i said in my character sheet White Hoof's barriers are not impressively strong but they do protect against some things and they increase physique for a short time.

Actually I was hoping to institute those later, but we can deploy with them if we have a unicorn that knows how to use em.  Good thinking Corporal.

Also, yah I'm thinking we should start now with loadouts, I'm actually hoping that other dude from the Elements topic can join.

awesome. And I'm sure he will. You may have to just put in the title that there's still a spot for 1 more. Also to make sure we don't get jumbled up I say Bronco goes first then me then Screws then the last guy

Military Rep: Um ACTUALY we abandoned it.

Yah I know, but that didn't stop them from making Black Ops did it?  This is just one operation mid-war not late-war, there's more to be issued after this but that's still in the works.
