Physique: A bit thicker than average for a mare, and tall. Her hooves are fettered as well.
Origin/Residence: Unknown, but now she lives outside of Ponyville in the Aurora Orphanage
Occupation: Orphanage Matron
Motivation: Watching over the foals whose parents died in natural disasters and have nowhere else to go, doing what she believes is right, kindness
Likes: children, flowers, bright colors, happiness, arts and crafts, helping others, the color purple, encouraging others to use their talents
Dislikes: Sad foals, thunder storms, pain of others, being helpless, death
History: Not much is known about Ms. Mare, simply that her orphanage seemed to appear almost overnight (although those who actually travel that road will tell you that the derelict building was always there, and she simply repaired it). It was only a few weeks before the first colt showed up on her doorstep, hungry and cold. Over the next three years, eight more foals showed up. Each one is well-cared for, and Ms. Mare does her best to ensure that each of their many needs are met, and teaches the older ones how to help care for the younger ones. Adoptions are available, although no one ever seems to take the orphaned foals. They don't much mind, though. They're happy with Ms. Mare, and the few that remember their parents aren't ready for them to be replaced.
