Anu stood by at first, letting the others go get their things as he looked over what was there. After a few moments, he moved in and grabbed some explosives of his own before also grabbing a shotgun. A mid-range weapon could be nice, as he already had short and long range covered.

Aquilo Breeze

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

"I have found

All that shimmers in this world

Is sure to fade...

away... again."

Aquilo took the shotgun slightly hesitantly. This really wasn't his type of thing, even the thought of having any gun or weaponry on his made him feel uneasy. Even so, he reached over and took the required ammo for it. As he walked out of the container, he saw that the others had their weapons of choice. It was time, they had the information and the means to protect themselves. "It looks as if everyone is ready." He began to say, then looked up at Voltaire. "Mister Voltaire... I believe it is... time." He said to him. The word time still set heavy in his mind. Just that single word meant so much to him. He knew that he was getting stares, but he just figured that it was going to be normal until this all ended. Would the ending spell and end to him as well; no matter the outcome of the others? He hated thinking this way, but he had a feeling that the metal would come down to him just as well. The question was, who would do it? He readied the shotgun and walked towards the group, a shadow following behind him.

Voltaire slipped a baseball bat into Aquilo's armor. He gives him a nod at what he says. Rock and Doc talk to Voltaire discussing how there going to get inside the shield. if anyone eavesdropped they would hear how they went with a safe but longer option.

"All right team lets go!" Rock says as he leads them to the a big door near where there are many guards. Voltaire opened a very wide door and an alarm sounds. They are bombarded by the sounds of gunfire! Thru the door is the Brooklyn bridge. Except it had been weaponized! there are towers everywhere. and snipers perched all over, each of them are blasting away at zombies. Voltaire casually walks thru this stepping over the shell casings not minding the war zone a bit.

Dock looks all over the bridge. He actually finds this pretty cool, how quickly they made an effective choke point, using the terrain. Rock on the other hand is only concerned how long they can hold this up, and worried about the mental state of all the shooters. There is a small hole opening, like a cave in the shield which they duck thru as they walk across the bridge. Not far past that is a final barrier, a large concrete wall connected to many gears.

Voltaire faces them and gives a signal to someone up top on the bridge "ok everyone! I trust all of you! Each of you have been hoof picked for your strength and abilities. How ever I believe its not your strength that will lead to success, Rather compassion, empathy and honor! ... I will help you with this first part! but then you will be on your own!" The concrete wall began to slowly open like the jaws of a beast. the gunfire increased so they could have some cover.

Rock pulled out the legacy blade holding it close in a strong stance "ancestors guide us! Ok everyone. Ember! left flank, stay at a comfortable distance but always in sight. Anu Right flank! stay close. Doc take the Rear, Li stay ahead of doc and help cover the center! Aquilo stay in the center close behind me!" Doc attached his knife to his rifle turning it into a bayonet, and loaded a magazine. "only engage zombies coming at us! don't waste ammo or energy if they don't notice us!" Rock nods "right! stay follow my lead! i want constant movement and powerful momentum!"

The door finally opens and Voltaire jumps in and taking a deep breath! He does an impressive spin kick creating a powerful gust of wind! it knocks away several zombies and cars! tossing them off the bridge and into the town! He stays by the entryway guarding it! Rock Charges in "GO-GO" he says charging in!

as soon as they got off the bridge the first thing that hit them was the smell! It was pure rot! the worst smell any of them ever took! death and decay all around them! Rock gagged and quickly took a cloth putting it over his muzzle, pausing for just a moment. Doc did the same making a bandana like mask with a green cravat.

as they ran onto the streets, they would see the first zombies in the streets. They didn't seem to notice them, standing around or limping thru the streets. the zombies were mangey, broken looking. many of them had large festering wounds, covered in blood and puss. the eyes were the worst, there eyes looked like they popped out and it was just there brain swelling out there skull! there clothes were all covered in gore, torn and disheveled.

Rock lead them down a street heading to the zoo. And a few zombies began to approach them at all angles. everyone had at least 6 coming at them! they were surprisingly fast, once they noticed them. there charge forward as if killing them is the only thing that matters. A few fall down but get right up!

Rock swings his blade, slicing them in half like paper! quickly covering himself in the rot, they shriek like monsters when finally torn apart, Rock just swung his blade and in the moment forgot to cut the heads. this made legs walk around without upper bodies, and the torso's crawl with there hands towards them!

Dock spins around and blasts with his riffle on 3-round burst. He naturally aims at there chest and this makes them stumble from the sheer force and damage, but they quickly start there charge again. "HEADS!" he shouts as his brain fully understands whats happening! he switches his rifle to single shot and takes a deep breath pulling his sling snug making  nice steady aim. he slowly brings his sights to the zombies face and fires a single shot, exhaling; planting 3 bullets in each skull! this makes them fall down for good, some of them have there heads pop entirely possibly a buildup of all the gas inside there body.

Ember walked with the group, as close to Doc as she could with a smirk on her face as she did. She knew he didn't like her being near him, could sense it unnerved him, so she would see how close she could get without him losing it. The game she was playing distracted her entirely, until they arrived at the bridge that looked like a damned fort! Snipers, gun-turrets, the barrier. It was a wall that wouldn't fall, in theory. Part of her wondered, if those infected threw themselves forwards at the wall, would it hold, or crumble? A part of her wanted it to crumble, if only she could spend her days coated in blood with her Scythe.

Voltairs speech made the girl roll her eyes, but she did opt to stay silent. Honour, compassion and empathy?! Those where useless on a killing field, all that mattered was your skill with a weapon and desire to kill. Ember knew she had plenty of both, and that is why she was going to survive this. Everyone else, however...Well, it was time for the reaper to collect once they fall. But, that was for later, as for now. Ember did as she was told. She took the left side, flashed a grin at the group, and walked forwards.

The arriving into the city was bad and the smell, hit Ember hard. It was nothing like that she'd done, she'd left the bodies fresh in her day of killing. But this smell was wrong, and needed cleansing. Of course, those fools charged at her. 6 of them charged the Serial Killer with a Scythe. She grinned as she flipped her weapon around, time for the Reaper to collect.

The first undead died instantly, Ember having spun around and sliced its head clean off with a single swing of her weapon. Using that momentum, she decapitated the following two. In mere seconds, the girl had efficiently dispatched 3 of her attackers. But the last 3, ohhh, she wanted to play with them. She ducked under ones swing, and tore its legs right off with a back-handed swing, before leaping backwards and watching her final two attacks charge straight at her. She let out a sigh, and spun the Scythe in her hands before leaping into the air and decapitating the last two mid-leap, before landing on the head of the one she de-legged and crushing its head. Having dispatched her group, the girl sighed. How boring, none of them put up any fight

The signal was given and Li followed the group. She could already hear the sound of battle, the cry of soldiers and the undead as they face each other. The qilin was calm, she needed to be in order to be her best; fighting with a clouded mind will only end in her demise.

After a quick scan of the area and bringing the team to a large barrier, the leader gave everyone their orders. Li was positioned in the center, which was alright for her. Li does quite well with crowd control, but providing support is important with an unknown number of enemies. She unsheathed her blades, clearing her mind and preparing for a fight she has never experienced before.

The door opens, Li was immediately welcomed with a rather unpleasant smell. She had a stuffy nose because the temperature in Manehattan was different from Long Kong's, so it conveniently blocked most of the smell. Continuing down the street, she could already see some zombies around them. They looked like they came straight out of a book, it's a wonder how these things came to be in the first place. Suddenly, Li noticed figures coming at them. She took up a strong stance as she watches for any that approach her. Li spots one heading for her fast, jumping up and slicing the head off before using the rest of the body as a springboard to knock the next one down, driving her blade through the head and pulled back out. A couple more come for her, she stabbed both of their guts and dragged it up through the head and out the top. This was more fun than Li expected, she smiled as she did a roundhouse kick and knocked off the head of another zombie. Not much of a challenge as she expected, but it was still a good workout.

Rock finished his group and turned his head observing his team. "glad you think its easy! theres plenty more where that came from!" Doc held up the rear pushing them forward. "keep moving! There not stopping!" he shouts.

looking around the streets were full of shamblers! it was almost sad seeing them moping around as if they were aware of the state they were in.

Rock shouted "cut thru th-" he was interrupted by the sound of shattering glass! there armor would protect them but there faces were bound to be cut! Doc shouted "AIR ATTACK!"

the zombies were leaping out of windows to get them!" doc raised his bayonet and let it impale a zombie. but the sheer force knocked the big stallion over! its like there getting bombed!

Rock covered his face with his bicep and was taken to the ground as two landed on his back and arm throwing him off balance! "AAAARHHH" he screams as they begin to chew on him. The armor prevented them from actually tearing into his flesh but they bit down with the strength of a rabid dog crushing his arm and part of his ribs!

Ember was having an enjoyable time, if only her victims put up more of a fight. It was almost amusing how, these undead, were less worthy to die than those she killed before. They were civilians, but at least they had fight in them! These things weren't worth the effort it took to cut them down.

She looked over at the team, she had managed to put some distance between them and herself. So when the glass was raining down, she had actually avoided it entirely and watched as a group of undead threw themselves at Rock and Doc. The big one with the claymore, she couldn't care less about. But Doc. She let out a feral growl. If anyone was killing him, it was her. No one else could have him!

With reckless abandon, she threw herself forwards and into the building where the undead were ambushing from. Scythe in hand, she did what she did best. Butchered with no hesitation.

the inside of the building was pitch black. no power meant every shelter was a haunted cave. As she entered the roars echoed, shadows shaped like ponies ran towards her.  Her only way of telling where they were was the feel of them under her scyth.

Doc wrestles with the zombie and reaches for his axe slamming the iron head down into its skull! he was still surrounded and needed help

Rock punched the beat biting into his arm! the full gravity of these beasts entered his mind as he smashed this monsters face! it kept biting down, these things feel no pain, have no sense of self preservation. they have no logic! just a sadistic need for mindless murder!

The lack of light might worry some, being surrounded by enemies that wanted nothing more than to kill her. But she felt no fear, never had. She grinned and let out a yell, one demanding a challenge. Despite being blinded, she could HEAR her targets and any time they got close, her Scythe would splatter them into the ground. She was in there for only a a minute before the girl leaped backwards out of the building and hit the ground.  She looked different, she was covered in blood from top to bottom, but her grin hadn't vanished. Oh this, this is what she LIVED FOR!

She spun her weapon as she eyed' her allies being overrun. "Pathetic! The lot of you!" With the fire within her ignited, she dived forwards at Doc and Rock, her weapon spinning as she carved her way to them, swinging widely, but under absolute control, as the infected near her hit the ground like a ton of bricks. "These mongrels are useless, and you're struggling! Just kill these idiots, or you'll join them!" Was that concern coming from her? Only Doc would know it was her not wanting to have to kill everything alone, he'd see the violent passion that was exploding within her.

Doc would feel midnight decap the zombie on him and jumped up blasting with his rifle and slamming the butt of his rifle in ones skull. He did feel a little embarrassed at her words; but then again this is what she did, she killed ponies with her scythe. He learned to fight in a completely difrent manner. Once the area was clear thanks to a few clean headshots he said something he thought he would never say agin for the rest of his life

"thanks ember"

rock was the same once he was free he waved the sword the sword and carved a clean semi circle of death forward quickly clearing out the hoard.

"Change in tactics! Doc ember! Cover the rear! We take this alley!

He then purposely lead them down an alley with no windows to prevent more dive bombs and ran forward at a brisk pace impaling anything that got in his way

doc took a step behind the little murder machine. And covered her.

The noise they were making made a large group charge forward! It was like a wall of rotten flesh! Blood and bones as far as the eye could see "awwww buck!" Doc groaned as he opened fire

his rifle cut the horde up to Squads of 4 continually coming at ember!

Anu wasn't really paying attention to his allies, not really caring what became of them at the moment. He was simply focused on the combat in front of him, almost becoming a tornado of blades as his movements caused him to spin and slash, taking off head after head and jumping back occasionally to avoid hits. On one such avoid, involving him essentially falling on his back on purpose, he saw the ones falling from above and brought his shotgun around to take care of the ones falling on him before rolling out of the way. On his way back to his feet, he took another's legs out from under it before finishing it off.

He followed them down the alley, taking shots with his bow that would all go into the brain if they landed, which most did. The others just remained sticking out of chests or necks.

Despite saving his life, Embers simply snorted at the 'thanks' she recieved. She hadn't done it for him, no, she'd done it because if anyone was taking his life, it was her. And that meant he had to be himself, not infected. Ohhh she'd having him begging for mercy when she was done, and then, only then, would she remove his head with her Scythe. Even as she was moved to the back, coated in blood. The infected never gave up. She glanced over at Doc fired into them, and grinned. They wanted him eh?

"You want him, come get him. The ONLY one that kills him is me!" She dived forwards, INTO Docs line of fire as she weapon spun up and down, hacking limbs apart. They did manage to bite down, but her armour kept her safe long enough for her to continue butching her way through them. She didn't care about the mission, the element. She cared for two things, in that very moment. The rush as she killed, and that Docs blood would be on her Scythe before this 'mission' was over.

Rock lead them to a big intersection. There were 4 ways thru. Rock took a second to get his bearings. It took some time due to the constant zombie attacks

This was going to be the next few hours. no breaks, no time to stop. because if they did the constant flow of zombies would kill them! it was like fighting a flood!

Rock knew there best way to fight would be using alleyways and choking off the flow of zombies! Ember and Anu were fairing quite well, he just hopped they could hold it up the whole day!

Rock roared loudly and swung his blade. each step was clean, severing at least 2 zombies. he stepped and swung finding a rhythm clearing them out like a machine! he lead them to an other alley, "CRUD!" in the alley was a big bulldozer, blocking there ways. they couldn't go back now. as the zombies were literally flooding them.

"DOC HELP ME GET THIS THING OUT OF THE WAY!" he said running and jumping into the cockpit. Doc ran up and began fiddling with the board "HOLD THE LIN-..... WHAT IS THAT!" doc looks up

something was above them it looked like a daddy long legs, using 4 long thin legs to hold itself up top in-between the buildings. it was a pony, some sort of mutated mare. with bones and clumps of rotten flesh making up her legs.

doc orders "EMBER,ANU take that thing out!"

the spider mare leans forward staring at the duo grinning at them. just out of reach of a blade!"ember? anu?" she says looking at them. she then press tight and frees a leg slamming it down trying to impale them!

Despite the zombies rushing them on mass, Embers continued to slaughter them as they came. It was rather simple in her eyes, they simply ran into her blade. While the blood did make her grin, it was also...well, a little bit of a let down. She'd been so excited to kill, only to run into things that weren't worth the effort at this point. So when she spotted, it, she grinned. A giant Spider-Mare ehhh? Now this, THIS WAS A CHALLENGE! She let out a yell, one of blood and death, right as the damn thing dared to strike at her!

She dodged to that side, and spat up at the creature

"How DARE YOU try and hit me! Do you have Any idea who i am! I am the Reaper, I am Death in the Flesh! How dare you try and kill me!" Powered by her rage, and used the side of the building to leapfrog her way up, occastionally using her Scythe to catch and spin on a try piece of metal, and she charged up to take a swing at the stupid spiders face!

Rock pushed some buttons then turned a lever.

Doc covered him shooting zombies away from the cock pit. Suddenly the big bulldozer turned on and the engine came to life!

"hop we got wheels!" The large stallion calls out as he lowers pulls forward

the bulldozer only had one seat but it was so large the others could easily hold on, and ride it like garbage men.

The strange spider pony laughed in embers face! Calling out her name in a high pitched moan

"ember! Ember!" She crawled back. Thanks to those long legs she was easily able to outmanover her vertically. But she did get a few good cuts on her long legs.

they would feel like bones, and only bones. Disgusting and sick.

Dock took aim and fired a burst. He aimed for her face, but a slight twitch made the 3 bullets go into her neck and rip thru her chest cavity!

"stay and fight that thing if you want! We're leaving!" Doc told her.
